I just mixed up a bottle and the smell is EXACTLY a strawberry shortcake bar. have a recommended steep time?
#2 by NotCharlesManson, Sep 9. 2015, 12:44
Thanks! Probably 2-3 days for the yellow cake to shine through.
#3 by r0guez0mbie, Oct 6. 2015, 17:59
This is a great recipe.
Never had the bar, but I shall be having a lot of this juice.
Thank you very much!
#4 by Byron Urzada, Oct 26. 2015, 03:39
Mad props on this. glad i made 120ml cause it tastes great out of the gate.
#5 by NotCharlesManson, Oct 26. 2015, 04:04
Thanks! Glad you like it.
#6 by Maxmax, Nov 12. 2015, 00:18
This recipe didn't shine until 7 days passed. Don't try to hurry
on this juice. Just mix and walk away. Spot on.
#7 by Jbird77, Nov 13. 2015, 22:14
I don't have cake (yellow)(FW). Would cake batter (CAP) or vanilla cupcake(CAP) work for this? It sounds pretty awesome!
#8 by NotCharlesManson, Nov 13. 2015, 22:23
You could try either one. I would do Cake Batter at .5%, or Vanilla Cupcake at 1-1.5%.
#9 by Tcar, Nov 14. 2015, 02:18
Swapped out the regular TFA strawberry for INW... Not a big change, we'll see what happens in a week. Smells frigging awesome.
#10 by momhead, Nov 17. 2015, 22:36
Really good recipie, just made a 30 mil. Gonna let it steep, but so far I think I might drop the biscuit percentage to like one or .5%. Seems a little strong as of right now.
#11 by Djvapes, Nov 26. 2015, 01:14
I have everything but tfa Bavaria n cream. I do have fw b.c. what do you think charlesmanson?
#12 by NotCharlesManson, Nov 26. 2015, 01:16
I've never worked with it so I can't say, but from what I hear, it's pretty buttery. I'd start with maybe 1% and add as needed.
#13 by Bigliu , Dec 5. 2015, 08:08
Well I made two 10mls. One to try off and on and one to let steep. Just tried the juice after 24 steep in my dresser drawer and it's great! Can't wait to see what it's like in a week. Thank you!
#14 by Zimaia, Dec 10. 2015, 16:59
Yes Bavarian cream from FW is stronger than the tpa one for sure.
#15 by NotCharlesManson, Dec 10. 2015, 17:06
I got FW Bavarian to try out. Do you like it better than TFA?
#16 by Zimaia, Dec 10. 2015, 18:54
never had it in my stash, i know it is stronger because several friends know both and i trust their feedback. Try it for your self :) but remenber to cut in half the FW version if you are going to mix recipes that have the tpa version
#17 by altneurose, Dec 13. 2015, 18:19
This is delicious. I don't recall the last time I went through juice this quick, this is the first strawberry vape I've truly enjoyed. Thank you.
#18 by NotCharlesManson, Dec 13. 2015, 18:26
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoy it.
#19 by ThirdWorldOrder, Dec 15. 2015, 00:35

Thanks, Mom!
#24 by Jbird77, Dec 27. 2015, 21:54
So I took your advise and used cake batter at .5, since I didn't have cake. It was awesome! I went ahead and ordered yellow cake and made 80ml, knowing it was gonna be good. Well, it turned an awesome juice into the best recipe I have ever tasted! Hands down, recipe of the year, in my opinion. Great job and thanks for sharing!
#25 by NotCharlesManson, Dec 27. 2015, 22:57
Thanks for the kind words!
#26 by Tcar, Dec 28. 2015, 06:13
NotCharlesManson this stuff has gone into regular rotation. Thank you for sharing.
#27 by Vapetastic, Dec 29. 2015, 16:43
Made 30mil. In a week this juice is really really good. Of course I had very little left by that time. Making two batches this time, 30 and 120. Thanks for sharing this!
#28 by NotCharlesManson, Dec 29. 2015, 17:24
No problem! Glad to see you guys enjoying this.
#29 by Leon Fly, Jan 2. 2016, 00:04
Any chance someone could convert these measurements of ML to grams? I'm guessing they're not 1:1 as VG (Which I intend on using) is denser than PG/Water. Thanks in advance.
#30 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 2. 2016, 00:14
Leon, you can change your preferences to display in grams. Click "user", then " preferences" from the drop down list, then select "use grams" under the "Measure in drops or grams:" section. All of these flavors are PG based. VG based flavors are not very common at all and are usually not produced by the major flavor companies. TFA only has a couple. Also, VG is 1.26g/mL if that helps.
#31 by Leon Fly, Jan 2. 2016, 10:59
@NotCharlesManson have I told you that I love you? Thank you so much. I only joined this forum to comment on this recipe, it's my idea of heaven! Just ordered enough ingredients/scales/bottles etc to make up 1.5L of various recipes I've seen on here. I'm going to start with this one, especially now I can mix it by weight!
#32 by Baba Fats, Jan 5. 2016, 17:33
I don't have Sugar Cookie, but I do have FA Cookie, and TFA Brown Sugar extra. Any idea how I could mix these to sub for the sugar cookie?
#33 by ThirdWorldOrder, Jan 5. 2016, 17:39
@Baba nether of those ingredients will ever get you anywhere close to CAP Sugar Cookie
#34 by Baba Fats, Jan 5. 2016, 17:41
gotcha. I'll pick some up with my next order
#35 by Dagnus, Jan 6. 2016, 01:03
@NotCharlesManson & @ThirdWorldOrder, is there really no sub for CAP Sugar Cookie?? FA Cookie and AP or Marshmallow?
#36 by STONE HAMMER, Jan 6. 2016, 22:14
The mix of the strawberries is perfect! Gonna have to use this in other stawberry recipes. You've clearly taken a lot of time on this and the Vaping community loves you for it. Good fucking job dude.
#37 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 6. 2016, 22:19
Thanks for the kind words! It means a lot.
#38 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 7. 2016, 07:29
Can tpa strawberry be subbed or omitted I only have ripe ?
#39 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 8. 2016, 02:31
What other strawberries do you have?
#40 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 8. 2016, 02:47

INW shisha strawberry
CAP sweet strawberry
#41 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 8. 2016, 02:49
and as I mentioned I have TFA ripe strawberry
#42 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 8. 2016, 02:51
Just no TFA strawberry and I have all the other flavorings
#43 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 8. 2016, 02:52
I would try Ripe at 5%, Sweet at 3%.
#44 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 8. 2016, 02:54
Ok thanks I'll try it out
#45 by RavenHairDoll, Jan 10. 2016, 03:20
Could Pie Crust-TPA be substituted for Biscuit? Thank you kindly
#46 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 10. 2016, 03:30
i don't really know but in my opinion I said no that's like subbing a cookie for a crust I'd think it would change the flavor to much
#47 by Kitsune, Jan 10. 2016, 17:46
Mixed up a batch and let it steep for a week - tried today and this stuff is outstanding! I'll be mixing up a large bottle today. Thanks so much for a stellar recipe!
#48 by Cairnsie, Jan 10. 2016, 20:21
I dont have Biscuit (INAWERA), any other good subs? i have berry crunch, oatmeal cookie , graham cracker clear..

And can i sub french vanilla for vanilla swirl?
#49 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 10. 2016, 21:13
id try 1.5-2% oc and .5%-1 gc
#50 by Cairnsie, Jan 10. 2016, 21:22
thanks mate, and what about the vanilla diy_fizz, would french vanilla be ok ?
#51 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 10. 2016, 21:32
The vanilla swirl ?
#52 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 10. 2016, 21:33
The vanilla swirl ?
#53 by Cairnsie, Jan 10. 2016, 21:39
subbing vanilla swirl for french vanilla, i have french vanilla, vanilla bean ice cream, and simply vanilla
#54 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 10. 2016, 22:19
vanilla swirl is a soft serve vanilla ice cream so I'd probably just sub it for the vanilla bean ice cream at the same percentage or I would do 1.5% vanilla bean ice cream .5% French vanilla or simply vanilla whichever you like better
#55 by rsimmy, Jan 13. 2016, 18:42
Regarding subbing the strawberry, I accidentally left my Ripe with a friend and mixed this with 3% CAP Sweet Strawberry and 4% INW Sisha Strawberry. It was the first time using the Sisha and that stuff is really potent, and it was so strong I don't like how the mix turned out. The Shisha though, it tastes like its in-between Ripe and regular TFA.

I'm thinking if you have to sub the strawberry, just sub the Ripe for CAP in the same percentage. If you have Sisha Strawberry, keep it low, like 2% and add another strawberry to go with it.
#56 by Maureeenie, Jan 14. 2016, 00:10
This is a very good recipe.
#57 by CAGE RATTLER, Jan 14. 2016, 06:02
Really enjoying this so far. Hope it holds its flavour after a long steep.
#58 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 15. 2016, 01:08
Thanks, man. I still have some set back from a few months ago. Hasn't died down for me, at least from what I can tell.
#59 by Manjuce, Jan 15. 2016, 23:55
Well, I have to admit.. I haven't made this recipe yet but dammit after reading all these comments I'm now quite disappointed with my "stash" which I thought would cover about anything!!! damn you! really does sound tasty
#60 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 16. 2016, 03:27
Hey so I was just wondering Is this recipe modeled after a slice of strawberry shortcake or model after a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar ?
#61 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 03:34
Strawberry shortcake ice cream bar. I don't like Koolada, so it's more of a..melted ice cream bar, I guess.
#62 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 16. 2016, 04:10
Yeah I have koolada but I don't like it either anyways That's awesome I have all the flavors except TFA strawberry like I said before I have other strawberries I could try out the recipe with but I'm just going to order TFA strawberry the only other problem is I'm out of VG but once I get some more VG and TFA strawberry in I'll give it a go from what I hear I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it
#63 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 04:18
TFA Strawberry is a super versatile flavor anyway. I use it in a lot of fruity stuff at .5-1%. It contains triethyl citrate (also in TFA Dragonfruit) which helps blend things together so well. You'll definitely use it in a lot of other recipes.
#64 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 16. 2016, 04:26
Nice I'm stoked to try it out (:
#65 by Cairnsie, Jan 16. 2016, 17:59
@John It is by no means a weak flavour, are you sure you mixed it correctly :) ?
#66 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 18:01
You seem to be in the minority, but thanks for the criticism regardless!

Also, you rated it as 5 stars, which is a little confusing to me. You can rate it low if you really don't like it. I won't be offended, man.
#67 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 18:17
Hahaha no problem. Hope you like it!
#68 by John-King-200985, Jan 16. 2016, 18:18
whoops, scratch that, I posted on the wrong recipe!!!! haha. I mixed this one up a couple of days ago, will let u know when its steeped.
#69 by John-King-200985, Jan 16. 2016, 18:20
Also had to sub out the biscuit, couldn't get hold of it, used oat cookie instead. Fingers crossed its ok.
#70 by DanielPt, Jan 16. 2016, 18:20
its on steeping for 5 days and didnt taste very well, yet.
I lacked biscuit so i used 1% of CAP graham cracker v2, might be it?
#71 by vapester68, Jan 16. 2016, 19:14
@NotCharlesManson : Bro, can i sub Biscuit (INA) with Graham Cracker (TPA) or i just upped the Sugar Cookie/Yellow Cake? Thanks bro!
#72 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 20:11
If you sub flavors, then it won't be this recipe. Can't guarantee it will taste good if you don't use the intended ingredients :)
#73 by DanielPt, Jan 16. 2016, 20:22
true, was just guessing if there was some fix :d
#74 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 16. 2016, 20:26
I haven't tried GCv2, but v1 isn't very similar to Biscuit. For anyone looking for a biscuit sub, I would suggest raising the Sugar Cookie to 3.5% and add FA Cookie at 1-1.5%.
#75 by vapester68, Jan 16. 2016, 20:55
@NotCharlesManson: Will do that bro! Thank you for the quick reply, bro. Cheers!
#76 by John-King-200985, Jan 16. 2016, 23:51
Defiantly will do. Thanks for the recommendation, and recipe dude.
#77 by Clouds4Fintan, Jan 17. 2016, 13:01
The only flavor I don't have is sugar cookie, do you think upping the Biscuit would help? I'm a pretty new DIYer so I'm stoked I have almost all of it lol. Thanks for sharing your recipe man :)
#78 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 17. 2016, 19:26
they are totally different flavors I'd just order sugar cookie plus it's a supper versatile flavor you'll use it in tons of other recipes
#79 by CAGE RATTLER, Jan 18. 2016, 11:56
I was actually shocked when you said it was based on a strawberry shortcake ice cream I thought you may have mis-named it. I made 100 ml exactly 1 week ago and new I would like it. 1st recipe ive made with Biscuit and when I got that flavor I knew I would like anything with it in it. Smells and tastes great. I felt the same way when I got FA Cookie.

I've been vaping on it everyday since I made it and at 1st with the biscuit being so pronounce, and the cheesecake flavor, I Immediately thought it tastes exactly like a Fiber One Strawberry Cheesecake Bar, Which I love and always have in my That's why I thought you mis-named

But as the biscuit is dying down and the cheesecake blending in more and I guess the cake and creams coming out more, I can definitely see where you were going. Its been a great vape either way

Might have to try another batch with more cheesecake and biscuit to see if the cheesecake bar taste holds up longer. ;)

Awesome recipe Man!! Thanks for sharing it. Probably the best one I've made off this site so far and theres been some pretty good ones.
#80 by Theemailman, Jan 19. 2016, 08:53
This in really good, swapped bav cream for the DX version, all good.
#81 by Mask, Jan 20. 2016, 21:04
Sounds lovely but only got sugar cookie v2 (CAP) is there much difference between them?
#82 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 20. 2016, 21:12
V1 Taste much better they tastes similar but v1 is more buttery and sugary because v1 has diketones and v2 doesn't v2 is the chemical free version
#83 by Mask, Jan 20. 2016, 21:54
Thank you very much. I'll wait until I get some before I make it.
#84 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 20. 2016, 22:02
No problem
#85 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 21. 2016, 00:52
For those looking for flavors for this recipe, Ecigexpress just put a recipe kit on their site!
#86 by rsimmy, Jan 21. 2016, 19:12
Man this taste good after getting my straw ripe back. Although I'm wondering if there's a way to boost the cakey cookie-ness of it without messing it up. I'm getting mostly strawberry with a hint of creamy shortcake. Which is delicious of course.
#87 by John-King-200985, Jan 21. 2016, 20:27
What can I say, this recipe is great after 5 days and will only get better. Can really taste the strawberry, cookie, vanilla and cream, but there is still a slight pepperiness to the cheesecake crust, the cake is light. I imagine the sweetness will increase soon and think this will be a definite favourite of mine!!
#88 by John-King-200985, Jan 21. 2016, 20:31
Oh and I made mine at 33/67 at 10 nic with biscuit subbed for oat cookie. Loving it!!
#89 by Jbird77, Jan 22. 2016, 16:44
Congrats on the kit, man! You deserve the recognition. Inspired by your recipe, I am trying to make a toasted almond bar. Hasn't worked out yet but I'm still playing with it
#90 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 22. 2016, 19:26
I'm going to mix this up today I'm just waiting on the mail to be delivered because it has the last flavor I need I'm so stoked I'll let you know how I like it but from the feedback Ive seen I'm sure ill love it (:
#91 by Gtrfrk83, Jan 25. 2016, 14:56

Thanks man! Glad you like it.
#94 by John-King-200985, Jan 27. 2016, 00:30
Wow this stuff is amazing. 10 days steep and I can taste every Flavor, no pepperyness, no over powering hints. Loving it, true genius right there. Well done.
#95 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 27. 2016, 00:37
Thanks! Didn't think this recipe would get this much love haha
#96 by shyclops, Jan 28. 2016, 00:45
Found this on Instagram. Wonder if there's any fishy business goin on...
#97 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 28. 2016, 00:49
Man..what the fuck.....
#98 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 28. 2016, 01:57
What are you guys implying ?
#99 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 28. 2016, 02:11
Some companies tend to just use others' recipes instead of putting forth their own hard work. Hopefully this isn't the case, but we all know how that goes.
#100 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 28. 2016, 02:51
O so your saying they might be using your recipe ?
#101 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 28. 2016, 04:07
Eh..I don't want to jump to any conclusions. I might buy some just to see if it is.
#102 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Jan 28. 2016, 05:33
Yeah ha ha it might be but it very well could not be because I know they're are actually quite a few strawberry shortcake ice cream bar ejuices on the market I mean I couldn't name them all off the top of my head but the ones I remember are the one you make the one shyclops posted about and then also Philip rock if you know him he makes one
#103 by shyclops, Jan 28. 2016, 06:55
I'm not trying to make any accusations, it just caught my attention is all...

I don't know what haters you're talking about, and I'm so confused as to what's going on here haha
#111 by anon6970, Jan 28. 2016, 14:50
Its all good advice is to just ignore it..hehehhe

Anon6970 I love that song Stan.
#113 by ENYAWREKLAW, Jan 28. 2016, 21:24
Btw this recipe blows Phiip Rockes recipe out the fucking water.
#114 by BigSmoke, Jan 28. 2016, 22:32
By far my favourite recipe at the moment but I make it with cinnamon sugar cookie (TPA) instead of Sugar cookie. 2 Weeks steep really brings out the flavours.
#115 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 28. 2016, 22:44
Haha thanks, Wainy.

Big, a touch of cinnamon does sound like an interesting twist on it, for sure!
#116 by trebor, Jan 29. 2016, 06:39
Made a 30 ml of this on sunday, tested it today, great recipe.thinkin I need to make a 250 ml now. Thanx for sharing
#117 by John-King-200985, Jan 29. 2016, 08:01
RHODONITE ROCKS!!!! Haha. Love this recipe too tho.
#118 by Perrywright, Jan 29. 2016, 15:48
Thank you what a lovely taste even shake and vape , will let the other half steep for a week , thanks again 5 stars
#119 by NotCharlesManson, Jan 30. 2016, 00:56
Thanks for the feedback!
#120 by John-King-200985, Jan 30. 2016, 18:22
Finally managed to get a hold of biscuit by inawera!! Will finally have a version with no subs.
#121 by DanyelVapes, Jan 31. 2016, 14:20
This recipe is attracting so many good reviews, how can I not try it out. One question though, I have INW Spicy Biscuit, will this sub for INW biscuit and if so, at the same percentage? Thanks in advance and also for posting your recipes here.
#122 by HrvestrOfSorrow , Jan 31. 2016, 15:29
This is a great recipe. I have been making this one for quite awhile.

I recently ran out of Vanilla Swirl, so i subbed it with the same percentage of FA Vienna Cream. To me it came out just as good.
#123 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Feb 2. 2016, 03:43
Was it a typo on the ratio ? Is it supposed to be 80/20 ?
#124 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 2. 2016, 03:44
I think that's just the site's weird handling of max VG.
#125 by DIY_IZZ_LIFE-57, Feb 2. 2016, 19:11
So it's supposed to be 80.5vg 19.5 pg
#126 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 2. 2016, 19:26
Yep! I think this was before I asked daath if he could add in a max VG option.
#127 by Vurecipesforll, Feb 5. 2016, 07:32
This is honestly just one of the more popular Reddit crunch berry recipes with tweaked percentages, and the addition of a couple very generic flavors. Smell is on point, but it just tastes like the crunch berry recipe
#128 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 5. 2016, 08:45
Please re-word your comment to "literally every juice recipe out there is basically just like every other recipe, but with some tweaked percentages and the addition (or subtraction) of a couple generic flavors." Not sure if you're attempting to "call me out" on something, but thanks for the feedback either way.
#129 by John-King-200985, Feb 5. 2016, 18:09
Ignore him, has no idea what he's talking about. This is the highest rated recipe here for a reason. Also tastes nothing like crunch berry.
#130 by Vurecipesforll, Feb 6. 2016, 01:35
Quite the contrary, HiC can consume a phallus. I archived his recipes when he flipped out. Either way, I'm just pointing something out. Who's riding whose dick now?
#131 by Dio, Feb 7. 2016, 00:10
Just perfect! Thanks for sharing dude!
#132 by coolpowers, Feb 7. 2016, 02:00
Deserves to be the current #1 rated recipe. Probably the best juice I've tasted.
#133 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 7. 2016, 02:02
Thanks, man! Glad you guys like it.
#134 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 9. 2016, 00:45
Can't say that I do haha. That's a new one for me.
#135 by Shawn Evans, Feb 10. 2016, 19:13
i have everything except the cake and biscuit flavorings i think I'm gonna just throw it all together and see what happens
#136 by juicy4me, Feb 10. 2016, 19:32
have everything but biscuit any good sub for this or should i hold off and get it?
#137 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 10. 2016, 19:38
Hold off and get it. FA Cookie is a decent sub, but it won't be the same.
#138 by Burritoclock, Feb 11. 2016, 03:40
Very tasty, smooth, minimal steeping. One of the best for sure!
#139 by cerevisaphile87, Feb 12. 2016, 23:22
Love it. Let's start a cult and change the world!
#140 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 12. 2016, 23:40
I agree! We'll have a gigantic facility where we'll hold meetings, mixing sessions, and build a warehouse to store flavors. We can call that facility The Concentration Camp. Sounds a little familiar, but super catchy.
#141 by Ken O'Where, Feb 13. 2016, 00:47
I went to rate the recipe and it is sitting @ 69. I wont be the one to change that, hehe. Good stuff NCM, thanks!
#142 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 13. 2016, 01:16
Haha that was me shamelessly rating my own to get it at 69.
#143 by Ken O'Where, Feb 13. 2016, 02:11
I cant blame you, it is the best number..
#144 by Jonaz1988, Feb 14. 2016, 06:55
Fantastic perfectly balanced vape..... Recipes like this motivate me to continue on my journey through DIY! Very grateful....
#145 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 14. 2016, 15:28
Thànk you for the kind words!
#146 by Tcar, Feb 14. 2016, 17:07
. . why couldn't we call the cult The "NotCharlesManson Family"? Again, familiar but catchy. . . we can just mix all "helter skelter". . .

About to mix my third 120 of this. It's in my regular rotation.
#147 by KGuardian, Feb 15. 2016, 01:27
Hey NCM... I'd love to give this a try, but I don't like TFA Strawberry. It tastes too seedy to me. Love TFA Ripe Strawberry though. Did you ever test a version using only Ripe?
#148 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 15. 2016, 01:38
I haven't tried that. I don't like Strawberry that much either for the same reason. It works here. Trust me. It just gives it the little "tang" it needs. If you still don't like it, give it a try with maybe CAP Sweet Strawberry. I haven't, but it might work with 2% or so.
#149 by KGuardian, Feb 15. 2016, 01:56
Cool.....maybe I'll just go ahead and mix a small batch with the exact ingredients first and then make adjustments if needed. Can't hurt to try :)
#150 by sgbisere , Feb 17. 2016, 13:02
Just made 500ml of this and it's amazing thanks for sharing
#151 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 17. 2016, 13:06
Thanks, man!
#152 by Clutch2k3, Feb 18. 2016, 20:17
Wow - my test-batch is at 3 weeks and this just keeps getting better. The cookie/bar taste keeps getting more prevalent. y'all got a winner here. I'll be mixing up a big batch of this soon.
#153 by NotCharlesManson, Feb 18. 2016, 20:19
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoy it.
#154 by RobbieRobV, Feb 18. 2016, 20:53
This thing is the bomb. I was pretty sure I would like it and I made 30ml and waited a week to vape. The 30ml is gone in 3 days... Already made a 120ml batch and I'm hoping it I'll be able to hold off another week or so to let the mix settle in a bit. Tastes great, smells awesome... Amazing job and thank you!
#155 by m4rtian, Feb 19. 2016, 16:57
Best strawberry juice I have had to date, easy 5 stars for this one.
#156 by pappasmurfsharem, Feb 20. 2016, 04:01
Not sure what's the deal for me, but this is surprisingly bland for the ammount of flavoring.
#157 by TapersVongue, Feb 21. 2016, 23:41
Made this a couple of weeks ago, finally got around to trying it.... Amazing recipe, went through 30ml in a day and a half.
#158 by Awayze, Feb 22. 2016, 03:15
Made it at 3mg, 30/70 ratio a few weeks ago and this is so good. Making up a couple of more bottles, definitely better than a lot of the juices on the market. It needs steeping for a couple of weeks, it's not bland at all.
#159 by sir-racha, Feb 24. 2016, 08:09
I replaced tfa strawberry with tfa dragonfruit and it turned out pretty damn good.. Thanks for the recipe!
#160 by TrECeNTeRs, Feb 26. 2016, 08:21
I hate TFA Strawberry. It gives some crazy lingering taste that I haven't been able to get past. However, You are amazing man. Very good Balance on this. I went with 3% TFA Strawberry Ripe and 1% Flavorah Strawberry. 10/10 ... My wife fell in love and is leaving me for this recipe, You fucking homewrecker.
#161 by TrECeNTeRs, Feb 26. 2016, 08:29
^ oops meant 6% Ripe

Ooooh, I'll have to try that strawberry combo! How have you been, man?! It feels like it's been forever since we talked.
#164 by chalatso, Feb 29. 2016, 06:10
Best strawberry I've tried. Kudos!
#165 by Mixmeister, Feb 29. 2016, 08:18
My last two missing flavors will be here today for this recipe. After reading all of the comments I can't wait to mix this up. Thanks for sharing, I've already enjoyed a couple of your other recipes too.
#166 by nuno, Mar 1. 2016, 18:25
just did this, and tried it right away... this is awesome, seriously.
Thanks to the OP for sharing this. Highly recommended.
Now it goes in the drawer and next week I'll give it a go again.
Thanks :)
#167 by nuno, Mar 1. 2016, 18:26
Question to the OP:
I like blueberry vapes, I have wild blueberry, would it work instead of strawberry? :)
#168 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 1. 2016, 20:00
It should. I would probably try 6% Blueberry Wild in place of the strawberries.
#169 by 4 rings of fury, Mar 3. 2016, 09:19
Flavor sooooo muted after 7 days of old fashioned closet steep. I'll have to mix this up again and see if it was an error on my part (prob was considering all the reviews and buzz with this recipe). Has anyone mixed this and needed to up any of the percentages by any chance? Or has flavor faded after steeping for some of you?
#170 by Dajmosik, Mar 3. 2016, 13:43
I've got a question for 'mixers' that have a lil bit more experience in mixing then me. I cannot get yellow cake from FW ANYWHERE in my country, so whats the best replacement for it? or should i skip it and increase INW biscuit for example?
#171 by cptncloud, Mar 4. 2016, 04:57
Subbed sugar cookie (cap) for cinnamon sugar cookie (TFA) turned out delicious!!
#172 by 4 rings of fury, Mar 4. 2016, 08:55
I'm gonna mix this up again tonight as I'm pretty sure somethings not right with the first 80mls I mixed. Can't wait and hoping to end up with some delicious juice!
#173 by funky_skunk_81, Mar 6. 2016, 19:26
First recipe I've mixed from this site and it tastes perfect in my dripper... Gonna mix up a bigger batch for my crown. NotCharlesManson is the cats whiskers
#174 by Bigliu , Mar 7. 2016, 02:50
Mixed this one up months ago and loved it. Just mixed it again. Last time I made it and this time as well I didn't have tpa strawberry so in place of it I used FA red touch at the same percentage and put 1 drop per 10ml of FA forest fruit to accentuate the strawberry. Also put in 2 drops of vape wizard. Had to try it right away and it's amazing. Last time I let it steep for one week. It will be hard but I know this recipie gets better with age! Thanks again!
#175 by 1nn, Mar 7. 2016, 22:18
cool stuff!
#176 by APeik, Mar 7. 2016, 22:48
Been mixing this recipe up with cap sweet strawberry/tfa ripe strawberry for a month now, everytime it's utterly amazing. When the odd person says they don't like it i just kind of stare at them because i don't understand what's wrong with them haha. Anyways 6 out of 5 stars. Anyone ever tried subbing out the strawberry for lemon or blueberry?
#177 by nuno, Mar 7. 2016, 22:56
I've done a blueberry (wild tpa) still steeping. smells great though ;)
#178 by Tcar, Mar 8. 2016, 00:35
Dajmosic: CAP or TFA Vanilla Cupcake, maybe
#179 by Kevin Spacey, Mar 12. 2016, 12:50
Do you guys think I could substitute the Vanilla Swirl for Vanilla Custard by TPA? I've heard that the Swirl is the Custard, just without diketones.
#180 by nuno, Mar 12. 2016, 13:04
@kevin, from what i've gathered it seems feasible, since the swirl is vanilla without the custards. But you will lose some of the buttery taste.
from TPA website: "This is our vanilla custard flavor that has had the "Custard Notes" removed. It is a very useful vanilla, good on it's own, or used in blends."

So go ahead :)
#181 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 13:58
WTF? Just mix it as noted..what's the problem is? Methinks a bit too much biscuit..but that's me...I kicked it down to rid of the only bad note in this my mind...god bless know who
#182 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:04
I'm sure..Chuck don't give a fuck anymore....nuff said
#183 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:16
Go ahead and tweak, sub , and substitute....please get the flavorings and try it 100% verbatim before you comment here......"only way to be sure"..and all that have, tweaked it, know what the f**k... god bless =)
#184 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 14:16
@anon6970 What do I not give a fuck about?
#185 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:18
Dudes / Chikas....Strawberry...really... It ain't that hard
#186 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 14:19

Oh, no it's cool. I've just been completely swamped at work. 18 hour days, conference calls all day. Fun stuff. I just haven't had time to really be as active as I'd like to lately.
#190 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:25
just kidding...he's great!!! no wait, fantastic!!!! hey man..does ecigexpress give you any kick back for selling all the flavorings in a pack for this recipe?
#191 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:26
they are doing it yunno....if you don't better go get 'em

#196 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:30
I want you too
#197 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 14:30
Yeah, I linked the kit in the notes. I'm not getting anything from them. Not a paid thing or getting free stuff from them, or any sort of special treatment at all. No shifty shill stuff happening haha. They just asked if they could use this recipe to sell as a kit, and I was overjoyed that they wanted to do that. The only thing I get from the deal is that sweet, sweet vape fame. I'd rather it be that way, to be honest.
#198 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:31
You deserve it bro...
#199 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:32

#202 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:34
But you are somehow famous to me =)
#203 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:35
If I ever met you in person, I'll
#204 by Kevin Spacey, Mar 12. 2016, 14:36
to anon6970: Dude, are you crazy or something? Please stop spamming. I just asked an honest and to the point question, since Vanilla Swirl and Vanilla Custard should be almost the same, with the difference being only diketones. BTW I live in the Czech Republic, not a great place to get my hands on flavourings - and I don't want to to pay massive amounts for shipping. Anyways, "nuno," thanks for the reply.
#205 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:37
totally off fucking subject..sorry =(
#206 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 14:37
Hahaha thanks, man. I make enough at my job that I don't really care about getting money from this. It's strictly a hobby for me. I may eventually do something on the business side of it, but nothing like coming out with a line or anything like that.
#207 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:42
Yep....I'm crazy, Insane, looney .....ummmnn if you dont have the diagnosed flavors just try it with what you have ..duh..fuck dikatones and all that are still getting way less than 400 chemicals in standard cigarettes
#208 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:43
I love you Chuck =) I get it!!!
#209 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:45
You are not gonna make a million off of one mix unless you squeeze ecigexpress man...
#210 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 14:48
Haha nah. Those guys are great. I'm completely fine with them selling this as a kit.

I'm currently working on a couple business-type things I can't really discuss at the moment. Gotta see if they work out and all that stuff. Maybe some day soon.
#211 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:48
I'd be curious to see ..just how many mixers bought the flavorings in the pack they sell to make this mix..I just hope all those that did actually like it..but if not ...corporate America says fucking oh well
#212 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:50
nuthing but love for you Chuck..
#213 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:50

#215 by anon6970, Mar 12. 2016, 14:55
LOL...what's that I never had a Strawberry Shortcake Bar before I had this mix...and I found them at the store ...and I'm fucking addicted to them now...thanks a lot Chuck you fuck...
#216 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 12. 2016, 15:00
Haha those are my favorite. I had to try to make a recipe for them before I gained 200 pounds from eating ice cream bars 24/7.

So what's the consensus in FA yellow cake? I just ordered all the ingridients and don't want to give it to anyone if it's dodgy.
#223 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 16. 2016, 00:44
I've been trying to rework this to give an alternative for those who don't want to use FW Yellow Cake. The closest I've came is bumping the Sugar Cookie up to 3%, and adding FA Meringue at .5%. It's not too different from the original.
#224 by w00cash666, Mar 16. 2016, 01:03
I think I will stick with FA YC for now (just ordered a bottle) and wait for you to do your magic with this one. I've been dying to try it far too long. I might actually make a 10ml batch with the changes you suggested and see what the difference is myself. But I am jumping into a 100ml of the original to start off. I think a steeping time advice was asked here before but I am not sure if you ever gave it. What would you recommend?
#225 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 16. 2016, 01:11
I would say 3-5 days. I'll probably end up doing a v2 of this sometime soon.
#226 by Mini-Mist, Mar 16. 2016, 02:07
Just a quick question. see when i'm steeping liquid, am i best to fill the bottle all the way to the brim or leave some air in it? and also breathing, should i leave the bottle open to air for any time at all? Its my first time making liquid.... and we all remember our first time so i want to make sure its perfect!
#227 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 16. 2016, 02:13

Just kidding. Let it age (or steep..whatever you want to call it) with the lid closed. Just fill the bottle up to whatever your calculator specifies. I don't breathe anything. Fruit flavors have small molecules, which tend to escape when the lid is off. Basically, this means that some of that lovely fruity taste is escaping the bottle and leaving behind the dense cake and cream. The best way is just to mix, shake, and leave it alone for a few days. Simple and sure.
#228 by brotheomen, Mar 16. 2016, 05:34
I used cap gram cracker and cap newyork cheesecake. I added 2 drops of flavorah crunch cereal. Subd vanilla swirl for french vanilla. This is the siznit.
#229 by DaCreecher09, Mar 16. 2016, 11:05
I have everything except strawberry and sugar cookie any suggestions on what I could do?
#230 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 16. 2016, 11:16
Get strawberry and sugar cookie.
#231 by DaCreecher09, Mar 16. 2016, 11:19
Lol alright thanks man I guess there's no substitute if you want perfection
#232 by Dajmosik, Mar 16. 2016, 15:08
i've made it, taste great straight after 24 hrs of steep, any idea how i can make it more 'milky'? i like thoose kind of vapes, but i feel like this one needs more creamy/milky taste, atleast for me
anyway, great recipe
#233 by MrCessna, Mar 18. 2016, 00:58 , leave it to sit for a week, it will taste way better
#234 by Burritoclock, Mar 18. 2016, 15:41
Yes, I actually am using some this morning that I made over two weeks ago and it is very good now. The cake and bar type flavors are far more pronounced.
#235 by Kevin Spacey, Mar 20. 2016, 22:27
Ok so I finally managed to get my hands on Vanilla Swirl, so I have mixed this. Only thing that is different is the Strawberry, I had to use CAP Sweet Strawberry instead of that.
Didn't like it much as a shake and vape. Now after a week it's just amazing. Never tried actual S. Shortcake Bar, but I imagine it's something that makes one simply obese, lol. Love the layers - strawberry right at the exhale, and the aftertaste with lovely biscuity notes. Definitely the most authentically desert-y tasting e-juice I have ever had.
Props to you, mister NCM.
#236 by Natestir, Mar 21. 2016, 23:28
#237 by Joy, Mar 22. 2016, 23:21
Love it. I tried something different though. Instead of the Strawberry flavors, I added Capella Blueberry Jam. Love it! I just got this new flavor and needed a way to use it. This is it, for me. Thanks so much for sharing. I don't know what I'd do without your kindness.
#238 by Charlie, Mar 23. 2016, 11:54
so smooooth, so pleasant - this is the morning after mixing it. Cannot wait until it has steeped...
#239 by Charlie, Mar 24. 2016, 14:58
Are the strawberries definitely the right way round i.e. 6% ripe and 1.5% normal? I made this and it is very smooth and nice but feel the strawberry ripe in such high amount is adding a kind of "hay" taste... Just wondering if it should be 1.5% ripe and 6% normal?
#240 by leorosemedia, Mar 24. 2016, 18:45
I just made my first ever e cig liquid and chose this as the recipe. So glad I did, it tastes delicious.

Being my first ever attempt I stuck to the recipe and ordered everything specifically for this.

I couldn't wait for it to be steeped so I put it straight into my Crown Uwell tank at 65W and it is incredible.

I've now got the rest of the bottle sat in a slow cooker (crock pot) and will keep it there for a few hours.

Thank you for sharing this.

Next time I make it I will replace the Strawberry with Lemon and see how that tastes.
#241 by smok, Mar 24. 2016, 18:57
coil killer !!!
#242 by Sean C, Mar 25. 2016, 01:19
This recipe reignited my love of strawberry. Well done. Thank you!
#243 by Pstaboche, Mar 27. 2016, 11:37
Have everything except Regular Strawberry TFA. I do have FA Strawberry (Red Touch), and CAP Sweet Strawberry. How would these two go with this recipe? Never had TFA Regular Strawberry, how does it compare to CAP Sweet Strawberry and FA Strawberry?
#244 by Dajmosik, Mar 27. 2016, 11:45
tfa strawaberry is more like a candy one ;p
#245 by ApolloAtmos, Mar 28. 2016, 13:37
@NotCharlesManson Seems hard to find Biscuit (INA) but i can get Spicy Biscuit (INA) instead. Is it ok of i use Spicy Biscuit? Or should i just up Sugar Cookie to 3.5% and add FA Cookie at 1-1.5% like you suggested at a previous post?
#246 by smg058, Mar 29. 2016, 21:22
Has anyone else felt that the strawberry, even at the percentage listed gets muted after steeping for a week or so?
#247 by smok, Mar 29. 2016, 21:24
not only mute but killing the coils need to change every day after 60ml of vaping
#248 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 29. 2016, 21:27
I still somewhat stick to the sub 20% "rule", but there are definitely exceptions. With something like this, I wanted it to be complex. Using a lot of flavors don't always make a recipe complex, but most of these are pretty linear, meaning they sort of give one or two qualities, and that's it. I've been meaning to go back and cut down the flavoring, but other projects are taking priority. I could probably get the same profile with 10% less flavoring.

A lot of it is just knowing your flavors. For example, I know Strawberry Ripe needs a lot just to bring out the strawberry flavor, and not just utilizing the maltol properties.

If you break this down into strawberry, ice cream, and cookie crumble "crust", it makes more sense than looking at it as a whole. The strawberries play off of each other. Ripe giving sweetness, and regular giving a slightly tart, candied taste. The creams (Bavarian and Swirl) go together great, with the CGC bridging the gap between the crumbles (sugar cookie, yellow cake, and Biscuit).

Hope that helps!
#249 by smg058, Mar 29. 2016, 21:28
@smok I haven't experienced that, although I don't vape anywhere near 60ml of juice a day. It's a great recipe, but I feel like the fruit is a bit drowned out by the heavier flavors...
#250 by smg058, Mar 29. 2016, 21:31
The ripe strawberry was definitely the right choice IMO, and it's certainly there, I guess I just want more of I'll just add more of it! lol. Fabulous shortcake flavor though, man...really well done.
#251 by Bushy, Mar 30. 2016, 10:12
I just mixed this recipe. Then i looked over and thought" what is the Banana Cream doing there?" Doh!! Bavarian. Banana. Bit of difference.
#252 by Flash, Apr 2. 2016, 20:33
Are people still following the recipe exact even with cake yellow containing a form of sugar? i've got everyhing to make this but only made one with cake batter (cap) in place of cake yellow (fw)... feel like i'm missing out but worried about the sugar in cake yellow.
#253 by CAGE RATTLER, Apr 2. 2016, 22:46
Curious about that as well. I'm ready to make a batch and did pick up some fa nonna cake. Anyone try that yet?
#254 by A.D.V., Apr 4. 2016, 05:56
mixed exactly as you said notcharlesmanson, tried at day 2 and great all day vape. strawberry on the inhale, pound cake in the middle, followed by cream, then finished with light strawberry whipped cream. thank you for sharing! 10/10.
like what you said about making this a little lighter. cant wait till v2

This is, IMO, a perfect DIY recipe. Having problems finding ones I dont consider even the slightest bit harsh, especially when strawberry is used. So far, this and another DIY on this side, Addies Yogurt, IMO are 2 of the best i have come across, so far out of about 22 or so I have tried.
Thanks, Much appreciated!!!

Love it.. Another all day vape.. Just can't stop vaping this.

Im a complete noob to DIY im doing it now thanks to Wayne. I found this recipe and I automatically thought of my childhood. I just finished mixing a bottle and I feel like I opened up a box of Little Debbies. Im chomping at the bit for this time next week already. You are a champ bro!
#258 by NotCharlesManson, Apr 9. 2016, 01:46
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. Welcome to the dark, dark world of DIY haha
#259 by RuntDastardly, Apr 11. 2016, 23:45
I mixed this up when you first posted it, but I can't for the life of me remember what I didn't have that I subbed, but the end result was that I mixed it all wrong. Cut to 3/6/16 when I finally mixed it correctly, and I just broke into it last night. This is the most enjoyable a strawberry vape has EVER been for me. What a beautiful recipe! Thank you so much for sharing it.
#260 by krispy kreme, Apr 12. 2016, 04:34
having a hard time finding the biscuit is there anything that can replace it or is it essential to the recipe?
#261 by skeppy, Apr 12. 2016, 05:47
rights, got most of the flavours, just ordered yet another boatload!!! can't find tf/tpa dairy / milk anywhere at all, so will have to do with flavorwest's nilk. hopefully that will doits job nicely as it tends to thicken and bring a thick texture to ur vaoing experience, Hell, I've used FW milk and it has really turned a crappy recipe into a really good one! Works inplace of MTS wizard if you don't happen to have any with other recipes! Helps blend everything together I have found
#262 by Fraymond420, Apr 12. 2016, 14:43
Just mixed up a 10ml test batch and smells fantastic, love the flavour but slightly too sweet for my palate, any suggestions to reduce the sweetness will be much appreciated.
#263 by smok, Apr 12. 2016, 15:31
I'm using Nonas Cake FA @.75 yellow cake from FW contains sugars that the sweetenes.

User "vlad" only one-stars anything. Not sure if he's an alt account or if he really just doesn't enjoy anything on here.
#266 by w00cash666, Apr 13. 2016, 05:48
Try talking to Laars, maybe? This is not on, Matt. some cunts need to GTFO of here.
#267 by VLC, Apr 14. 2016, 05:05
This recipe definitly deserves the top rating. Really good. Normally I dont use higher than 5% in strawberry which I did in this recipe this is just about right in 75/25/1mg nicotine.

Even good after shaking.
#268 by ryaadk3484, Apr 14. 2016, 14:58
Mixed 30ml of this at 3mg and let it breathe overnight and already loving it. Can't wait for all of the flavors to develop....going to have to mix a larger batch because I know this bottle won't last very long. Thanks for the great recipe.
#269 by Uncaged, Apr 15. 2016, 22:51
Vlad seems to be an alt account, the one recipe they 5-starred, they strangely answer a question on, though it's apparently someone else's.
#270 by Debbiej, Apr 17. 2016, 17:51
This is a great vape. I'm not a strawberry fan and L o v e this!
#271 by skineedog, Apr 21. 2016, 02:58
This is an awesome vape. I made with TFA Strawberry Ripe @ 7% without the TFA Strawberry Non-Ripe and it's great. Don't know what if anything I'm missing without it. The Strawberry ripe really shines but not tasting the biscuit much if at all.
#272 by KittyVapes, Apr 21. 2016, 03:05
Mixed this up 2 weeks ago and what an awesome juice this is! It is hard for me to get much flavor from many recipes but this one delivers. There are just so many strawberry/cream recipes out there but I don't need to look anymore. Ty for the time and energy you put into this.
#273 by W0WZA, Apr 24. 2016, 21:54
Looks good. I think that I'll mix it the next few days, but I'll leave the Strawerry out and up the Ripe 1.5%, I am getting a funky taste out of the normal Strawberry.
#274 by NotCharlesManson, Apr 24. 2016, 22:07
I get a weird taste from regular Strawberry as well. Try leaving it in. I think you'll be surprised how little you'll notice it, with the way I use it here. It's one of those flavors I use as a "booster" instead of being really noticeable.
#275 by W0WZA, Apr 25. 2016, 01:16
Alright, I'll do that.

I was just so disappointed, when I started DIY. Everyone said "try Mustardmilk, it's the easiest for beginners and its delicious". I tried it, but I just cant get rid of the weird taste the Strawberry gives me.
#276 by masterstephenvapesologies, Apr 25. 2016, 12:08
good job! im vaping a 1.5 week steeped mix. just exactly strawberry shortcake bar. just like from the (god forsaken) ice cream man. i hate the ice cream man with his loud obnoxious music, enticing children to eat his sugary treats. hes just causing trouble if you ask me. tearing families apart...
#277 by Kiwi_Vaper, Apr 27. 2016, 00:11
This one needs a bit of a steep, but is very delicious if you do it right. Thanks for sharing #Notcharlesmason. This will be on my regular rotation from now on. Five stars all the way mate. Cheers

Wow, this is a drama free zone.... Great job on the recipe it wouldnt have been something that i would have thought of to use for a profile. Thanks for the recipe

Just amazing after a week steep...Awesome job NotCharlesManson!!!
#280 by Awayze, May 3. 2016, 02:19
Well, I got vapors tongue from excessively vaping this recipe. No matter how careful and even in new bottles I make this, it just isn't as delicious as when I first made it :(
#281 by Arkaygee, May 4. 2016, 03:21
Just made a 30ml and couldn't help but give it a go straight out the mix, but it already tastes awesome. I've put it away and can't wait to give it another try once it's steeped!
#282 by N, May 4. 2016, 16:46
1 mg nicotine :)
not good. i will make up to 12 how i like
#283 by ApolloAtmos, May 7. 2016, 14:59
After 2 days all i can taste is the strawberry (ripe mostly) and a very light tone of cookie. Hmm something is wrong with my flavours? 70VG/30PG 9mg nic, Kayfun Mini v3

I haven't tried this yet. Just made 100 mls, so hoping it is good. With all the comments and positive notes, it is just too much to pass up. Thank you for the share @NotCharlesManson
#288 by Thisisourview, May 16. 2016, 18:12
Mixed up a batch a week ago, following the recipe exactly, thought I'd try it today...can't really taste it :/ I get a watery biscuity flavour, without much strawberry. Any ideas..? Ha. Maybe I just need to let it steep even longer.
#289 by Shawn Evans, May 18. 2016, 20:02
@NotCharlesManson Just ran out of bavarian cream would vienna cream fa work or how much would vanilla custard v1 cap change the flavor?
#290 by doodlebob, May 18. 2016, 21:15
easily a 5 star recipe. i wish i could comment on how it tastes when fully steeped but i finished my first 30 ml bottle in 2 days after giving it a hot bath and letting it breath for a while. just whipped up 240ml more of it because i liked it so much :)
#291 by STONE HAMMER, May 26. 2016, 19:05
I made this a while back and subbed BC TPA for CAP. It was ok. made up another bottle with no subs and this is tasty as hell. Good job dude!
#292 by mikepeifer, May 31. 2016, 15:40
All I gotta say is wow! I made this exact recipe and this is the best strawberry shortcake I've ever vaped! Amazing job!
#293 by Thumper5102, Jun 1. 2016, 23:40
When I first made up this recipie it came out good, maybe a little strong on the graham cracker/biscuit note, but was my favorite Vape other than muffin man. A month ago I made up 60mL 3mg and just today Vaped it, I no longer taste the strawberry, the flavor is flat... Where did I go wrong? Do I need to lower the cream/custard/graham cracker notes a bit if it is going to steep a month+ ?
#294 by Ryan CrowdSurf , Jun 4. 2016, 01:47
Absolutely love this recipe! I some times swap the (TFA) Strawberry with (TFA) Banana Cream at the same percentage (1.5%) and leave the Strawberry (Ripe) in there and it's a nice change up. Basically a GREAT shortcake base that you can add which ever fruit to, to change it up! 5/5 stars from me!
#295 by 4 rings of fury, Jun 4. 2016, 03:51
@thumper5102 same here. I've made this 3 times...every time I kept giving the benefit of the doubt that I mixed up wrong(despite using a scale for all my mixing) and get the same results. Pleasant pastry-ish vape but very mute. Sb is barely noticeable. In fact, id bet if u gave this somebody and didn't tell them there was sb in there they would never be able to tell u they taste sb. Even the other elements are faint to me. Bummer since what i tasted was good stuff but just lacks overall flavor. I don't use EM or sweetener in my mixes so I can't chalk it up to vape tongue either. I keep saying I'll try it again but with my preferred ratio of sb ripe and cap sweet sb and also modify the other stuff a bit but, tbh, it's kind of a pain to make since it's not the simplest recipe. If im pulling that much shit out for a recipe it's gotta be worth the trouble and so I never ended up trying this again. If u figure out what the weak flavor issue is here or a modification to where it becomes a full flavored vape let me know so I can give it a try.

I'm going to try subbing out Yellow Cake FW with Cupcake Batter FLV and up the Sugar Cookie CaP and Cookie FA
#299 by ahkwa, Jun 10. 2016, 15:08
I mean add some Cookie FA
#300 by Richdurhm, Jun 11. 2016, 19:01
i've made this 4 weeks ago (exact recipe).. i didn't like it that much... but lucky i made 60 mil's and tried today and it is half decent i give it 3 stars!
#301 by Hutchy, Jun 14. 2016, 04:45
I made some yesterday but I subbed INW strawberry shisha for tfa strawberry and it's really good at 1 day, so I imagine it's going to be awesome. I guess I need some tfa strawberry to try the full recipe:)
#302 by Johnwannamaker, Jun 14. 2016, 20:40
I've been looking everywhere for recipe that gets me close to PRocke strawberry "shortshake" as that's tied for the best strawberry juice I've ever tasted (and I've tried A LOT, oh-face by beantown is other favorite). I'm highly tempted to try this recipe due to all of the positive reviews but will add 1% sweet raspberry as that is the key to the PR recipe. Trouble is, I'm deathly afraid of tfa graham crust. It's horseradish on roast beef to me (everyone loves it but to me it smells and tastes like a corpse fart ). I'm gonna try without it as I'm thinking the biscuit will provide the cake. Thanks for sharing brother, I'll let u know.

I can't get enough of this. When I first started trolling DIY_eJuice to get info to place my first order, I saw this recipe and knew it would be one of the "road tested" that Wayne mentioned making first (ADV material). Get your feet wet kind of flavor, learn about some ingredients and layering, etc. I know so much about each and every one of those flavors now.

Wanted to share because SSB was the first juice I ever mixed. 2 months later, I just made my 150th ml. I was addicted to these as a kid growing up (Good Humor all day.) This might be the most beautiful representation of the essence of those delicious childhood memories. Bravo to you sir, this will always be in my rotation.
#305 by fluffs_travels, Jun 17. 2016, 01:32
Hey NCM - your ecigexpress kit picture should be this!
#306 by doodlebob, Jun 17. 2016, 20:38
i initially commented on this recipe saying that it was amazing pre-steep when i first started mixing, and i stand by that statement, but some time has gone by and i keep coming back to this...

i just wanted to say that i've now mixed several different recipes, created quite a few of my own, and even went out and bought a bottle of boosted yesterday to see if i could clone it.

this recipe is above and beyond any other recipe i've mixed, as well as "boosted" and several other "premium" ejuices. boosted honestly tastes sad and unbalanced in comparison to this. of course they are different flavor profiles, but as far as the heart and soul put into the balance of all of the flavors, the attention to detail, the subtlety, etc. this juice blows it, and several others, completely out of the water.

if "boosted" is premium, this is connoisseur. i couldnt thank you enough for putting the time and effort into this recipe just to give it away to the masses. every time i make this juice, i make the largest batch i possibly can so i never run out.

NotCharlesManson, you are a gentleman and a scholar.

you are my hero notcharlesmanson!
made exactly as specified, steep 10 days, and am blown away at the complexity, and satisfaction i get from vaping this! to me the strawberry is just a footnote to the delicious cake base-its insanely good, moist and with great texture. i love that you kinda "broke the mold" by not going the CAP vanilla custard v1 road that you could have so easily taken. instead you created a superb base with the cakes, swirl, and graham crust (i hope some flavor manufacturer can come out with a suitable FW yellow cake substitute soon). NOTE: if you are a mouth to lung person like me and use high nic i would NOT recommend over 11mg as the bite becomes very noticeable. this recipe has been my go to for 2 months now :)
#308 by ZaFFeeR, Jun 21. 2016, 16:26
Is it true, I heard that you going for Version 2 on this for strawberry
#309 by eurythmia, Jun 23. 2016, 01:05
@NotCharlesManson This is a fantastic vape. I mix this at 3% nic, but I find that the nic makes it a little too harsh. Do you have any suggestions to mellow out the flavour any? I also like a little stronger of a flavour, so I want to play with the proportions to bring it up to 20% or 21% ... further suggestions? :-)
#310 by Scoobysnax, Jun 23. 2016, 03:11
Just made some of this. i messed up on the first batch but vaping it anyway. still good. i made another batch to steep for a while. thank you for the recipe! great work!

#312 by Pro_Vapes, Jun 28. 2016, 01:41
I made this on Jan.30, 2016 and I finally got around re-tasting it. I'm not a big fan of Cap, TPA and FW, but you worked magic with this mix. This well beyond anything I've made using these flavors. Good job with this mix NCM. 5 Stars.
#313 by fluffs_travels, Jun 28. 2016, 01:59
Meatloaf - I def like it better fresher too
#314 by illitirit, Jun 30. 2016, 12:17
I've steeped a 120ml bottle of this for 2 months.

Wow it is horrible compared to a fresh batch.

I wonder why the longer this steeps the worse it tastes.
#315 by smok, Jun 30. 2016, 12:29
I make of this 1000ml batch one week in a big bottle and strait to small 30ml after a week and its perfect.
Once notice that there is a bad batch from TPA of Bavarian Cream where taste and smells like burn popcorn that may be issue.
Try to use DX version where i found it perfect
#316 by BassVape, Jul 2. 2016, 15:08
the taste is so on point if you follow this recipe!
#317 by Mongoman , Jul 3. 2016, 21:04
Made a batch with and without yellow cake, both great just seems to be a stronger shortbread taste without yellow cake .
#318 by Derek H., Jul 5. 2016, 12:44

Not yet versed in ratio, or how much flavouring I actually like. This is one of my fave recipes but i can no longer vape it. I find it now, far too strong today.
I have to figure out what percentage of flavouring i do prefer and adjust the ratios as I do miss this one
#325 by JTC, Jul 7. 2016, 22:05
I've changed my mind a few times on this one.
Now it's steeped at 6 weeks on max vg, it's very tasty and I like the strong flavours coming through.
Hmmm I'll try and delete my previous comments.
Great recipe 👍
#326 by D.M.Turner, Jul 23. 2016, 00:53
I subbed .5% CAP cake batter as I didn't have yellow cake on hand. I tried it right after mixing it up to get a reference of how the flavor changes over time. At no steep the strawberry is very prominent and it's almost like you can taste all the components in discrete layers, like striations in bedrock. Day 3 the strawberry had settled down a bit and you can tell the aromas have started to marry. Today, day 5, the strawberry has clearly taken a back seat, the flavors have blended and the mix is homogenized and you just get a wonderful, fluffy shortcake bar with just the right hint of strawberry glazing. I've tried about a half dozen of the most popular strawberry vapes on here and I have to say this one is my favorite. The balance is fantastic, dessert-like but not too sweet. Great recipe #NotCharlesManson! Five Stars.
#327 by Vaper60's, Aug 1. 2016, 17:13
I love this recipe...5 ☆
#328 by Captain_Vapor, Aug 3. 2016, 13:53
This is a master piece IMO, it's probably the best strawberry shortcake bar online by a mile, it's better than the diyordie version, in fact this is as good as the Philip Rocke version IMO, made 30ml and going to make 100ml later today, steeped mine for three weeks, so pleased u used TPA strawberry, as Capella is good but dies down after few weeks, flavorshack has sweet strawberry that's as good as Capella if u ever try it, and it holds flavor u like Capella
#329 by ViTALiTY, Aug 6. 2016, 15:30
Used CAP's Bavarian cream instead of TPA, came out amazing as well.

Thank you :)

#333 by Tony, Aug 24. 2016, 00:30
I have all but the vanilla swirl. What could I use to replace it. I have French vanilla from tfa and fw. Vanilla cuocake. Any ideas?
#334 by DrSeuss, Sep 2. 2016, 22:17
This is banging good! Immediately after mixing, the strawberry and biscuit are prominent (I love INW). It's for certain a great shake-n-vape for the impatient! I made 30ml and accidentally vaped it all in a day! I made 60 more the next day, let it steep, and took notes every day for a week. After two days the cake is comes through while the strawberry mellows a bit. After four days the strawberry is no longer the star of the show as the bakery flavors come together. I haven't noticed much of a difference after a full week. I think 3-4 days is good for steeping. Everyone who tries it loves it! I made 600ml yesterday and put 540ml away for steeping (the missing 60ml is going in my lungs while I wait!). Thank you very much for sharing, @NotCharlesManson!
#335 by kingcouchlock, Sep 3. 2016, 22:33

#341 by Captain_Vapor, Sep 15. 2016, 17:27
This deserves another shout out, I tried it again today and it's good very good, I try to vape the really good juices like this for a few days then rest for few days, but it's hard lol, but worth it because you get that full on effect every few days rather than over doing it and becoming fed up lol
#342 by pappasmurfsharem, Sep 16. 2016, 08:35
Something strange about this one.

If I mix a 120mL bottle it doesn't taste right.
But 30mLs are fantastic... It's most upsetting

Mixed by weight.
#343 by madLyfe, Sep 16. 2016, 15:51
@pappasmurfsharem: maybe the 120 needs a longer steep?
#344 by skulcius, Sep 16. 2016, 15:55
Hmm glad you said this @pappasmurfsharem was gonna mix 120 this wknd.
#345 by V๐๐|)๐๐, Sep 16. 2016, 18:27
@NotCharlesManson The only flavor im out is the TFA Strawberry, Do you think i could sub with any of these flavor CAP SweetStrawberry INW Shisha Strawberry? If yes what percentage would you suggest... Thankyou for the recipe!
#346 by JTC, Sep 16. 2016, 20:07
I mix 400ml a time with this and it's my favourite Vape.
Awesome stuff :)
#347 by Captain_Vapor, Sep 17. 2016, 00:11
Larger bottles always take longer to steep, just top 30ml out a week before u vape it lol
#348 by pappasmurfsharem, Sep 17. 2016, 18:05
RIght but when I mix 30mls it is basically a shake n vape for me

but the 120 never gets that good crusty flavor for whatever reason.
#349 by Joel, Sep 18. 2016, 02:38
This is an insane recipe, it's so fricken good that I think it could be a premium juice with a load of sweeteners and I would've bought Litres of the stuff. Great recipe, will always be one of my ADV
#350 by VapeCity, Sep 26. 2016, 21:17
This recipe is killer. After steeping it turns out better than the Phillip Rocke version.
#351 by steve9207, Sep 29. 2016, 05:29
Well, I suppose there's a reason this has 350+ comments! I'm not big on strawberry, but this looked too good too pass up. I regret only mixing 15ml, it's the first strawberry I'm strongly considering putting into my daily rotation. Thanks for the great recipe!
#352 by iCloud, Oct 4. 2016, 03:32
I made 200ml of this first time round, shake and vape it wasn't vapable really. After 4 weeks I'm just left with a biscuity vape with no hint of strawberry at all. I'm going to try re adding the strawberry as I know it can become muted over time. I will report back once I've done that. So far I'm not impressed unfortunately. Not sure what went wrong?
#353 by Captain_Vapor, Oct 4. 2016, 12:42
I find long steep times do bring the biscuit out, but my thoughts are to add a touch dragon fruit to long steep times, as it will brighten the strawberry up.
#354 by iCloud, Oct 4. 2016, 18:54
I doubled the strawberry, still couldn't taste it. So I've added an extra 4ml of Cap Sweet Strawberry. Slight can't taste it barely. I give up.

I'd like to make a blueberry version?
What's would be suggested?
I have blueberry wild, blueberry fw, blueberry flavorah and bilberry.

Was thinking 4-5% blueberry wild and .25% bilberry.

Thoughts?? Thanks!!!

Fuckin' love this recipe.... but I feel like it's missing something everyonce in a while. I'm starting to think it's the TFA Cheesecake graham crust. Anyone sub Cap's NYCC for the TFA?

Guys, what can I use as a substitute for FW Cake ? Without Sugar, I mean...
#366 by Paul N, Nov 27. 2016, 16:43
One of my favourite vapes. Is great in just a few days.

Miragaia, I've been using Cap Yellow Cake with good results. Cap is a little more rich and buttery and even works better than FW imho.

Added to my ADV collection! Thank you for sharing!! Went through 100ml and just made another 400ml so I can steep for a week or so.

I made 200 ml and I added 1% INW biscuit . Week 3 the strawberry seems gone over ripe LOL but one week later everything is back in place. I will try the ice cream version with CAP Vanilla Bean Ice cream

WOW!!!... I steeped this 4 weeks as I do for every vape...v2's get 7 weeks...just having eaten real strawberry shortcake with the taste being fresh in my head....this is a DEAD RINGER for Strawberry Shortcake... I couldn't hold back the wow's every time I took a hit... Great recipe...I'm not even going to make any adaptations to it. I always make adaptations!!!!

I'd highly recommend subbing Cap Yellow Cake for FW though, it doesn't gunk up the coils nearly as bad.

This stuff really is awesome after a nice long steep though.

I feel like i must be doing something wrong with this recipe. It smells amazing but tastes of absolutely nothing. I even copied it and subbed out the Strawberry for raspberry and still the same.... Smells SO good though... i really want this to be great

Yeah it's surpsisingly good after only a couple days, but I mixed one and set aside for a month and finally understood what all the hype is about :) NCM really is a mixing genius.
