Let this one steep for about two weeks and it doesn't taste good at all to me. I've tried so many Berry Crunch recipes now and none of them are anything special... Maybe my taste buds are dead to this flavor, which is sad since I love Captain Crunch :(
I made this on 7/18/2015 and it has steeped for just about 2 weeks. It tasted much better when it was fresh but now it is quite flat and thin tasting. Berry flavor is gone and the nice cereal taste is barely detectable. I mixed it up exactly as shown except I made 100ml. I mix by weight. I could have a case of vaper's fatigue but I have not vaped very much of this recipe. Maybe 4ml over 2 weeks of dripping to taste it every few days. I am vaping it on nickel at about 450F at 0.12ohms. I also tried kanthal at about 0.5ohms. I have yet to try it in a tank. I'm thinking maybe 3% meringue is a little too much? I dunno. If I try this again, I am going to make some tweaks. I really wanted to love this. I will let it sit another week to see if it wakes up and if not I'm going to toss it out!
@bigolbear you can add more percentage to each flavor. That's what I do to recipes I personally find too low. Add anywhere from 1-1.5% more for each value. Should help you taste it
Absolutely love this as I'm a bit of a cereal addict!
It's brill as a shake n vape/overnight but I can't wait til the milk shines through with steeping. It tastes similar to Special K with a slight berry - never tried captain crunch so I can't compare.
I made it at max VG and the flavours still really prominent!
I'd love to add cinnamon to this somehow, make it into a sort of Cinnamon Graham type. I'd try but I'm still a newbie and still need to get used to my flavourings- but if anyone has any suggestions chuck em at me!
For Cinnamon, get FLV Rich Cinnamon and add one or two drops to a 30ml bottle. (When I say drop I literally mean one drop straight from the bottle.) That actually sounds good and I may try this when I get home. Good idea!
I let this one steep for about a 1.5 weeks and absolutely love it,so smooth and tasty and I am sure it will just get better with time. Will try it with the plain crunch instead of the berry crunch next time. Thanks for sharing as always!
Wayne, you are being way to hard on yourself when you say it's just like every other Captain Crunch recipe. After steeping, I find the sweet aspect of this mix to be quite tasteful (without EM or sweetener). It is a little light on flavor, I might bump the percentage of flavoring base up a bit. And maybe add 0.5% Biscuit INW, but it's pretty damn nice as is. Thanks for sharing, and don't be too hard on yourself.
candyman, you've forgotten to say the magical words - TO MY TASTE.
It is your opinion and your taste buds. You don't have to like anything. Why saying "shit" about the work of another person?
Wayne have done a great job with many of his recipes, to MY opinion.
Even though I don't like all of his recipes, I respect his job!
Thanks Wayne!
We aren't here to talk shit about other mixers! It just pisses me off when I see ppl thinking that it's okay to do that! Wayne, I have yet to try a recipe of yours and i am new to mixing but so far I totally respect all that you are about bro! Fucking haters have to realize that this is a community and everyone should have each other's backs and everything, EVERYTHING in vaping IS SUBJECTIVE!!! Except safety! Vape on, vape tough, vape long, vape love!
I love this. Added one drop of super sweet, and I used FA Almond instead of TPA Hazelnut (DX). It worked great! Thanks for the recipe, Wayne! One long drag and I was a kid again. This is an absolutely awesome mix! I'm probably going to pick up the hazelnut on my next order and mix a big bottle of this.
