Notes
•Vanilla Pudding with Freshly Sliced Banana and Vanilla Wafers•

*08/2017

*This is a simplified Banana Pudding, using only FR Banana Ripe as the main banana flavor, for a creamier banana I have 'Bangin Banana Pudding: Ripened Remix'. I made this one because I think for me, the Ripe Banana is enough of a banana base flavor to complete the pudding, and mimics a fresh banana slice pudding. In this version I am also using Nilla Wafer with Milk, as I like the malt aspect it brings to the recipe. Not everyone is a fan, I get it. Replace with Biscuit if you don't have or want to use Nilla Wafer, although it works perfectly here.

Flavor Revolution Ripe Banana is described as a Golden, Sweet Ripened Banana. I am picky with banana flavors for sure, LA tastes kind of yucky for me, and I was excited for Shisha Banana, but did not like some of the back notes I was getting from it. TPA Banana Ripe is not quite to my liking either. But this, this is such a balanced and creamy delicious banana, perfectly ripened. It's not an ethereal, green ripened banana flavor. It manages to capture the white, soft outer flesh and the golden, creamy inner flesh as well. It's definitely a softer banana flavor, but really balanced.

FLV Vanilla Pudding is really sweet and satisfying, the same Vanilla used in their Custard Concentrate, and is perfect for a banana pudding as it really does well to mimic that off white, jello brand style white pudding.

The INW Vanilla Cream is the topping flavor, as it works so well as a whipped cream. Tastes very similar to the style Vanilla used in INW Custard, but without any egginess, or the similar flavor that Creme Brulee and Custard seem to share (eggy, thick, stronger dairy aspect). *Not a pungent cream.

Test Notes:
Going to try this recipe in small batches with Banana Ripe at the following percentages, 1%, 0.75%, 0.5%. First pudding base was used at 0.25%, and while it was light, was more of an authentic banana flavor than any pudding made with other banana flavors, or combination of banana flavors. I don't want Banana Ripe to lose it's authenticity at higher percentages, so I want to find the perfect amount for a fresh style banana pudding. This will most certainly be more of a vanilla pudding with fresh banana vs. a box style artificial banana flavor pudding, but that is what I am going for, like the pudding I use to eat at Nixon's in NC.
** Preferred percentage is 1% after batch testing.**
0.5 and 0.75% were both light and fresh authentic banana, still great for a lighter flavor option if using as the sole banana flavoring.

Hey thank ya, I have this private for now until I can that banana exactly how I want it, but am loving how this has turned out so far. I think I am enjoying it more than any version using Banana Cream or Shisha Banana. I'm stoked to try more FR flavors, they are super potent, but darn delectable.

This is my favorite Banana Pudding recipe to date. Out of so many variations from my OG 'Simply Bangin Banana Puddin' to private recipes using various banana flavors, this banana gets it right.

I had to sub in some purilum flavors I had on hand instead of TFA but I have to say that I really like this recipe it’s the only banana pudding I’ve tried that actually tastes like banana pudding and not candied banana very grateful for the poster figuring out the perfect ratio of cream to banana. Mine only sat for 4 days and it really great.

Thanks a bunch! If you mean Cheesecake Graham Crust PUR, that would be an awesome sub, I have found I enjoy it much more than the TPA version. It did take some doing to blend a more authentic Banana flavor, but was well worth it in the end. I'm glad you enjoy, it is one of my favorites.

Also I am super glad I bought Nilla Wafer with milk and condensed milk from PUR because both have really helped my creamy flavors. I bought them on a whim and now they are permanent members of my main used flavors now if I could only make a cinnamon danish or something that didn’t suck I’d be in business.

I enjoyed this recipe very much, thank you. At first I found it quite subtle in flavour but with continued vaping the flavours became more pronounced and it became a lovely creamy banana pudding the only thing that never came through was the wafer note which I was looking forward to. Next time I mix this I will either up the Nilla Wafer With Milk a tad or add a little Crispy Wafer by WF just to get that wafer note come through. The problem is most likely with me and my damaged tastebuds. As is this is a very enjoyable recipe, thanks again and a Happy New Year.
