I use cucumber in a couple of mixes, love it, Melon is in one of them lol. Very good mix, I am making it today and will let you know how it went after steeping, thank you!
Thank you and dont get me wrong I love the cuc/melon mixes, I was just searching for something a little more outside the box on this one. The cucumber can get so damn bitter I wanted to balance it with something sweet....in the past I have had great results pairing with dragonfruit or peach.
I'm now 3 days in after making this and I still like it but I think it's missing just 1 more component (although the wife loves it as is) but once I hit my 1 week mark I'll see where I'm at and I may need to just raise the straw or LL?
Thanks for the comment and please let me know how it works for ya!
UPDATE 7.18.15
Its been 4 days now and patience is NOT my strong point so I gave it a taste...
I really do like this mix BUT it still seems like it's missing....something? I didn't really want to change the profile so I added 2% Organic Strawberry. I like the ripe strawberry for the background but IMO it needed more and after debating I decided on the OS for the fact its a touch stronger than the ripe but not as strong as any other strawberry flavoring.
I will say I LOVE the cucumber and lemon lime combo!!
Thank YOU! Yes I try to push everybody to the second version. There isn't anything wrong with this one but the second version pops a little bit more. This version was actually an idea my wife had and after making it we liked it but made the second version as the tweaked version
I did not have Lemon Lime so I used FA Citrus Mix. I noticed a few folks saying it needed more Strawberry. Strawberry is acidic so I looked for another sweet acidic fruit. I settled on Cap Golden Pineapple at 2%. I don't know what's going to happen but it smells pretty good.
That's awesome! So you made this recipe and then added the pineapple? or did you sub it out for something? I haven't really touched my GP so I am curious and may give it a try!
I did not have Lemon Lime so I used FA Citrus Mix instead. I used your Strawberry measurement and I added Capella Golden Pineapple at 2% to give it an extra kick. That Citrus Mix is awesome btw.
I'll have to give it a shot thanks! Funny enough I have FA's citrus mix coming tomorrow so that's perfect!
TBH I haven't tried this mix on my sub tanks yet but good to know it holds up!
Thanks again!
Update...maybe keep the citrus low %... I just tried it at about 6% alone in a test batch at 6 mg nic in the sub tank alone at 6% it is making it pretty harsh for me (but I'm a sissy too).
hi there i have all the ingredients to make this how do i dilute Ethyl Maltol (10% PG) down to 2%? if i have a 10ml bottle would i mix 40ml of PG to make 50ml at 2%? thanks in advance look forward to trying this :)
Did you get the EM from TFA? I bought it this way and you shouldn't have to do anything with it. I stopped using EM over a year ago though because it mutes flavors over time. I would suggest using a marshmallow or other sweetener in the place of it for recipes
Thankyou darth yea i used TFA EM 10% but on your recipe it says diluted 2%? ..... so just use marshmallow at a similar % going to make this tonoight as i have a marshmallow.
Thanks for this i needed some inspiraton for my own cuc mix ive been wanting to make for some time now. Made a few small tweaks, came out really good :)
