Notes
This is by far my best attempt at a rhubarb and custard mix.
As with any custard mix I mix that part of the recipe up first and leave to steep for 4 weeks before adding any additional flavours. Custards and creams really do need a good steep for the fullness of the flavours to blend properly.
We all know that Caps V1 is without doubt the best custard out there but for added creamy decadence it is superbly supported by Dulce de Leche, this adds an almost caramel richness that helps bring forward a rich deep smooth custard flavour. The combination is further enhanced by the French Vanilla Cream and Inaweras excellent Vanilla Shisha. The mixture of these 4 flavours together is probably the smoothest creamiest vanilla custard I have mastered.
After the magic 4 week steeping period this Custard base will take almost any flavour added to it with ease.
In this instance I chose Inaweras Rhubarb.
Now this stuff is strong, usually I opt for 2 drops per 10ml in a straight rhubarb mix but it got lost slightly in this, so I kept upping the percentages and settled at 1% which for me was perfect but you could always tread carefully with it and start out at 0.3% and work your way up to your sweet spot.
The Shisha Strawberry really helps bring the sweetness out in the rhubarb, think stewed rhubarb and you aren't too far off.
After you have mixed up the fruits to the custard you will have to further steep for an additional 2 weeks.
Believe me after this additional steep you will taste the difference.
So all in all a great smooth creamy sweet tart vape that is very moreish.
All great things come to those that wait!
Mix this up and I promise you that you'd have wished to have made a bigger batch! LOL

Mix up and enjoy!

Just finished a 50ml bottle after a 6 week steep - really good @chewy - the custard isn’t too “heavy” like in some of the commercial R&C’s I used to vape - which allows the Rhubarb to shine! Thanks for sharing!

@Lolly sorry for the delay in answering" I've not long discovered the alert function!
Yes it isn't a heavy custard at all but quite layered, if that's the right description?
The rhubarb cuts through it very nicely. Thank you for your kind comments and rating, very much appreciated!

Thanks Chewy! I just did the custard part and I'm wondering when the time comes if I will add the fruits. Cheers!
