It makes it taste like the blueberry from a yogurt vs. a blueberry candy. I can't think of anything off of the top of my head that you could substitute out for it.
Excellent vape after about a week, before that the blackcurrant was a bit overpowering but everything mellowed out and melded perfectly. Fantastic recipe, thanks!
Billberry is more of a blueberry flavor, blackcurrant is more of a rich grape type flavor. The Blackcurrant is what does the trick to get the blueberry tasting like the jelly like filling in yogurt. Hope that helps.
Very nice! I didn't have blueberry extra so I added the same portion of blueberry CAP and 1% wild blueberry TPA. Also absent was greek yogurt subbed with yogurt FW. Shake'n Vape but as with most I'm sure it will age well. I'll try the recommended recipe when the ingredients are available. A very good combination of flavors Freshpie!
Absolutely my favorite. This was the first DIY recipe that I made and I still cant get enough. My hat is off to Fresh for all he does and provides for the DIY community.
Hi fresh love your recipes the thing is im still deciding on my preferred vg ratio! Its bugging me lol. So this vg ratio is 80vg if i make it in 60vg will i get more flavour from it or does it just mean less steeping time is needed? Thanks bud
More, PG carries flavor more strongly. The steeping time would be the same though, three days seems to be the magic amount on this particular recipe. Enjoy!
Excellent right out of the gate! Hope it makes it through at least a couple days of steeping lol I twisted it a little bit adding 2% Blueberry FW to the list above, only because I enjoy TPA blueberry extra with a little kiss of FW blueberry on top. Keep them flavors coming fresh!!!
Delicious recipe. Tried the original and thought that there could be more flavor so I ended up replacing Blueberry Extra (TFA) entirely with Blueberry (FW). Its pretty awesome, very strong blueberry flavor and yet you can still make out the black currant. Would highly suggest giving it a try! Only two days in, so steeping my change the profile. I will report back, but I have a feeling that the juice won't last too much longer.
Just got my diy stuff in today & this was the first one I made. Tasted delicious. Then added 10 drops of double apple & it tasted like a mixed berry yogurt. Then added 7 drops of raspberry & it tasted good but odd. Then added 7 drops of swedish fish & it's pretty good. Hard to explain what it tastes like though lol. #noobmixing
I'll be making this again & I might make a few batches w/ the double apple. Really liked that added on.
Lovely. Ran out of Tfa blueberry extra so topped up with cap blueberry. The Blackcurrant is upfront as a shake n vape. Just what I've been craving lately. 5 stars.
The original Addy's Yoghurt was fantastic...but...this one is MAGIC.....love it. I made it exactly as the recipe and gave it a two week steep. It turned out absolutely delish and i am rocking it on the avocado 24. Thanks for such amazing recipes freshiepies....Now you have twisted my arm to try out your custard....lol
Sweetener will not "boost" flavor. I personally will not add sweetener to any recipe that make. This recipe is heavy on the blueberry extra which in my opinion is quite sweet. If you are using a quality VG that in itself should be plenty sweet. The store bought flavors that I have had that where loaded with sweetener in my opinion where not worth it just due to having to re-build because of the gunking of the coils.
@fresh i manage to make 60ml of this and let it step 1 week, try to vape it buuuuut the Blackcurrant just overpower everything else T_T no blueberry at all like it magically just step out of the unicorn bottle and banish. Will try with maybe less Blackcurrant or none at all.
This is to date the best diy juice I have made, and I am truly happy to have waited until I finally had the blackcurrant. This is amazing!!! Thanks so much for making this! (To up it up I'm going to make the next batch with some koolada; that might be nice as well. :) )
Great recipe Freshepies!... as shake and vape im not getting much of the blueberry or blackcurrant coming through, a little bit on the inhale.... but mannn, this yoghurt and cream is amazing... its barely noticable on the inhale then thick and wonderful on the exhale. good work!
Made this the other day and can't stop. 120 ml bottle here I come. Wonder what a 1-2 week steep will do, but I don't think I'll be able to wait .Thanks for sharing this
excellent work one of my favourite shake and vapes in fact adv can this be done with strawberry instead of bluebery or both anyone tried any of these combinations?
Made today by weight exactly as instructed but at 70 VG. 10 mins on the magnetic stirrer.
Cube II. Velocity Dripper. 4 core ss316L clapton. 0.19 ohms. 50 watts.
This is very good right away, and I do mean very good, a smooth velvety blueberry yogurt. Thank you so much for renewing my belief in DIY from shared recipes. For anyone interested this tastes just like 'Blueberry' from the Wired Juice Co.
I mixed this up and gave it a 12 hour steep and I found the Blackcurrent fairly upfront - not my favorite flavor. I let it steep for 3 days and the Blackcurrent dropped down so that it was somewhat equal with the Blueberry. After a week steep the Bavarian Cream rose up quite a bit taking some of the twang out of the Geek Yogurt. It is a nice creamy mild Blueberry yogurt recipe, but that Blackcurrent flavor is still perceptible in the background. Maybe I’m just overly sensitive to Blackcurrent; regardless it is still a good vape.
Hey, your recipe has inspired me to try again with yogurt. As a shake and vape, it feels a little "thin"? I know it's been awhile since the last comment, but do you know if this will get a denser mouth feel after it steeps or should I try adding something like meringue? I did follow your recipe to the letter (and decimal). 😁
