I have everything but the blackcurrant. What exactly does it do for this and can it be substituted?? Thank you.
#2 by freshepies, Oct 19. 2015, 03:49
It makes it taste like the blueberry from a yogurt vs. a blueberry candy. I can't think of anything off of the top of my head that you could substitute out for it.
#3 by sexyginger, Oct 24. 2015, 04:54
Maybe Blueberry Wild TPA?
#4 by freshepies, Oct 26. 2015, 03:37
Blueberry Wild didn't quite do the trick either. Believe me I tried allot of different ways to get it just right.
#5 by tonysrecipes, Oct 27. 2015, 06:29
Gold my girlfriend loves this stuff. As do i but i lowered the blackcurrant to 1% that is perfect for my profile. Thanks man
#6 by sgbisere , Oct 29. 2015, 19:01
Great recipe fresh the blackcurrant is fantastic
#7 by kevin_215, Nov 4. 2015, 01:33
balance is really nice on this recipe, never overpowering, a great all day vape and it's shake & vape so a big thumbs up. many thanks
#8 by Kitsune, Dec 6. 2015, 23:06
Excellent vape after about a week, before that the blackcurrant was a bit overpowering but everything mellowed out and melded perfectly. Fantastic recipe, thanks!
#9 by freshepies, Dec 7. 2015, 04:08
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
#10 by Zeekey301, Dec 8. 2015, 07:40
Ever tried this with creamy yogurt?
#11 by freshepies, Dec 9. 2015, 07:04
No I haven't, if you do let me know!
#12 by Ryanmcg1, Dec 27. 2015, 09:57
Fresh or anybody use FA Bilberry instead of Black Currant? What's the difference between them?
#13 by freshepies, Dec 28. 2015, 17:15
Billberry is more of a blueberry flavor, blackcurrant is more of a rich grape type flavor. The Blackcurrant is what does the trick to get the blueberry tasting like the jelly like filling in yogurt. Hope that helps.
#14 by LIFA Vapes, Jan 14. 2016, 22:53
This is excellent! My 2nd mix and this is an amazing shake and vape!
#15 by therionangel, Jan 19. 2016, 03:12
Very nice! I didn't have blueberry extra so I added the same portion of blueberry CAP and 1% wild blueberry TPA. Also absent was greek yogurt subbed with yogurt FW. Shake'n Vape but as with most I'm sure it will age well. I'll try the recommended recipe when the ingredients are available. A very good combination of flavors Freshpie!
#16 by Nika Monster, Jan 23. 2016, 09:55
Absolutely my favorite. This was the first DIY recipe that I made and I still cant get enough. My hat is off to Fresh for all he does and provides for the DIY community.
#17 by freshepies, Jan 24. 2016, 06:42
Thank you Nika! I appreciate that allot.
#18 by Jason fox, Jan 27. 2016, 19:29
Hi fresh love your recipes the thing is im still deciding on my preferred vg ratio! Its bugging me lol. So this vg ratio is 80vg if i make it in 60vg will i get more flavour from it or does it just mean less steeping time is needed? Thanks bud
#19 by freshepies, Jan 27. 2016, 23:02
More, PG carries flavor more strongly. The steeping time would be the same though, three days seems to be the magic amount on this particular recipe. Enjoy!
#20 by Jason fox, Jan 28. 2016, 10:24
Thanks for your reply so what you mean by that is if i make it in 60vg i would get more flavour from it then i would 80vg? Ta
#21 by ChrisFJS, Jan 28. 2016, 22:25
Could I use TPA blackcurrant. If so how would I adjust it if needed?
#22 by Gdeszyk, Feb 19. 2016, 00:17
FA Blackcurrant is a little bit overwhelming but that's the only con IMO.
#23 by Jaded Jae, Mar 1. 2016, 20:22
Tastes amazing. I was hesitant because I don't care too much for yogurt, but I was very pleasantly surprised! Making 120ml tonight!
#24 by Tema , Mar 9. 2016, 19:43
It's awesome. Thanks a lot
#25 by Woodroe, Mar 26. 2016, 22:27
Excellent right out of the gate! Hope it makes it through at least a couple days of steeping lol I twisted it a little bit adding 2% Blueberry FW to the list above, only because I enjoy TPA blueberry extra with a little kiss of FW blueberry on top. Keep them flavors coming fresh!!!
#26 by Krazykloudz, May 10. 2016, 04:00
@freshpies you are amazing
#27 by Sub-Ωhm, May 15. 2016, 18:42
Personally I like this one even more than the famous Addy's Yogurt, it's a ADV winner !
#28 by hblamo, Jun 16. 2016, 16:36
Delicious recipe. Tried the original and thought that there could be more flavor so I ended up replacing Blueberry Extra (TFA) entirely with Blueberry (FW). Its pretty awesome, very strong blueberry flavor and yet you can still make out the black currant. Would highly suggest giving it a try! Only two days in, so steeping my change the profile. I will report back, but I have a feeling that the juice won't last too much longer.
#29 by Jeff and Ryan , Jun 26. 2016, 05:42
I have INW blackcurrant what % should I use? Thanks for all your recepies!
#30 by freshepies, Jun 28. 2016, 00:49
I have no idea, lol, never used inw black currant before so couldn't tell you how it would react to the rest of the ingredients.
#31 by mixmyvape, Jul 1. 2016, 14:16
Shaked and Vaped 100ml and GOD it is good. Excited to see what it turns into after steeping.

Probably the best DIY I have had so far.
#32 by Trd_Vape_Reviews, Jul 13. 2016, 23:58
Just got my diy stuff in today & this was the first one I made. Tasted delicious. Then added 10 drops of double apple & it tasted like a mixed berry yogurt. Then added 7 drops of raspberry & it tasted good but odd. Then added 7 drops of swedish fish & it's pretty good. Hard to explain what it tastes like though lol. #noobmixing

I'll be making this again & I might make a few batches w/ the double apple. Really liked that added on.
#33 by Solace71, Jul 29. 2016, 22:41
Lovely. Ran out of Tfa blueberry extra so topped up with cap blueberry. The Blackcurrant is upfront as a shake n vape. Just what I've been craving lately. 5 stars.
#34 by TVP, Aug 3. 2016, 18:08
10/10 from me mate, superb shake and vape and a perfect balance of flavours...thank-you
#35 by Kiwi_Vaper, Aug 11. 2016, 22:39
The original Addy's Yoghurt was fantastic...but...this one is MAGIC.....love it. I made it exactly as the recipe and gave it a two week steep. It turned out absolutely delish and i am rocking it on the avocado 24. Thanks for such amazing recipes freshiepies....Now you have twisted my arm to try out your custard....lol
#36 by Wilkybob69, Oct 18. 2016, 17:07
Freshiepies would this work with cap creamy yoghurt instead of the Greek yoghurt I'm gonna try it anyway just wondering what your thoughts on it are
#37 by winginit, Nov 14. 2016, 04:44
Really good, even as shake n vape. Love it just like it is. Thanks for the share
#38 by Artemics, Nov 23. 2016, 03:50
Nice recipe bro, you sure dont need any sweetener for this?
#39 by Nika Monster, Nov 23. 2016, 20:59
Sweetener. Not even once.
#40 by Artemics, Nov 24. 2016, 16:27
So without sweetener/sucralose will it muted the flavour?
still thinking where is the sweetness come from.
This is my first try to DIY
#41 by Nika Monster, Nov 24. 2016, 20:10
Sweetener will not "boost" flavor. I personally will not add sweetener to any recipe that make. This recipe is heavy on the blueberry extra which in my opinion is quite sweet. If you are using a quality VG that in itself should be plenty sweet. The store bought flavors that I have had that where loaded with sweetener in my opinion where not worth it just due to having to re-build because of the gunking of the coils.
#42 by Artemics, Nov 25. 2016, 07:26
Thank you so much Nika, i will try some batch with 15ml :)
#43 by Opiumus, Jan 22. 2017, 00:40
Create alternative with Strawberry. Nice. 5 stars!

#44 by Coldnemessis, Feb 22. 2017, 05:38
@fresh i manage to make 60ml of this and let it step 1 week, try to vape it buuuuut the Blackcurrant just overpower everything else T_T no blueberry at all like it magically just step out of the unicorn bottle and banish. Will try with maybe less Blackcurrant or none at all.
#45 by Whooptidooh, Mar 2. 2017, 22:33
This is to date the best diy juice I have made, and I am truly happy to have waited until I finally had the blackcurrant. This is amazing!!! Thanks so much for making this! (To up it up I'm going to make the next batch with some koolada; that might be nice as well. :) )
#46 by The Vaping Surveyor, Mar 6. 2017, 04:23
Made me a batch tonight :)

#50 by GenoK, Mar 8. 2017, 21:19
My first attempt at mixing and I owe my success to you! Kudos to FFTK in showing people how fun and easy it is to DIY!
#51 by KnockoffNath, Mar 29. 2017, 00:51
Great recipe Freshepies!... as shake and vape im not getting much of the blueberry or blackcurrant coming through, a little bit on the inhale.... but mannn, this yoghurt and cream is amazing... its barely noticable on the inhale then thick and wonderful on the exhale. good work!
#52 by haggisking, May 5. 2017, 15:31
Very good 200mls made so far

Delicious! Great taste right after shaking
#66 by freshepies, Feb 21. 2018, 14:50
It gets way better once tje blackcurrant calms down!
#67 by Paul2566, Mar 27. 2018, 15:58
Made today by weight exactly as instructed but at 70 VG. 10 mins on the magnetic stirrer.
Cube II. Velocity Dripper. 4 core ss316L clapton. 0.19 ohms. 50 watts.
This is very good right away, and I do mean very good, a smooth velvety blueberry yogurt. Thank you so much for renewing my belief in DIY from shared recipes. For anyone interested this tastes just like 'Blueberry' from the Wired Juice Co.
#68 by Paul2566, Mar 27. 2018, 16:00
Just forgot to rate it. No surprise 5 stars from me.
#69 by freshepies, Mar 28. 2018, 14:50
Glad you dig it!
#70 by Rudrar, Mar 29. 2018, 21:30
can I use blueberry FA if so what will be the percentage?
#71 by freshepies, Mar 30. 2018, 00:25
That's not a very hoid sub, cap or hangsen would be better choices.
#72 by SamyworldDIY, May 24. 2018, 07:30
Thinking to sub blueberry and blackcurrent with lemon sic FA and a hint of passion fruit TPA
Let’s see:)
#73 by BTCruiser, Aug 6. 2018, 06:53
I mixed this up and gave it a 12 hour steep and I found the Blackcurrent fairly upfront - not my favorite flavor. I let it steep for 3 days and the Blackcurrent dropped down so that it was somewhat equal with the Blueberry. After a week steep the Bavarian Cream rose up quite a bit taking some of the twang out of the Geek Yogurt. It is a nice creamy mild Blueberry yogurt recipe, but that Blackcurrent flavor is still perceptible in the background. Maybe I’m just overly sensitive to Blackcurrent; regardless it is still a good vape.
#74 by freshepies, Aug 6. 2018, 07:54
Thanks! Drop the bc down a bit or sub pomegranate.
#75 by SonicMyst, Sep 19. 2018, 21:36
I have everything except I have the TPA Black Currant. Is this acceptable as a replacement? If not, I’ll wait and order the right one.
#76 by krabban, Sep 25. 2018, 11:51
Any chance you could swap the Greek yogurt (tpa) with Greek yogurt (CAP) ? I have every ingredient except the right yogurt
#77 by Tracy, Aug 8. 2019, 21:19
Hey, your recipe has inspired me to try again with yogurt. As a shake and vape, it feels a little "thin"? I know it's been awhile since the last comment, but do you know if this will get a denser mouth feel after it steeps or should I try adding something like meringue? I did follow your recipe to the letter (and decimal). 😁
#78 by freshepies, Aug 8. 2019, 23:21
Meringue or Marshmallow flavors have great mouth feels.
#79 by rouxz, Oct 17. 2019, 18:25
can i use cap bavarian cream at the same percentage instead of tpa
#80 by freshepies, Oct 17. 2019, 21:26
Sure thing!
#81 by Xavier, Apr 5. 2020, 20:25

#83 by freshepies, Jul 17. 2020, 07:13
Nice! Enjoy it!
#84 by Harusai, Nov 28. 2020, 15:35
Hey freshepies, I’m having a hard time getting TFA Greek yogurt what’s your best suggestion for a sub?
#85 by freshepies, Nov 28. 2020, 22:35
Flavorah would work just fine!
#86 by Harusai, Nov 28. 2020, 23:49
That I can get my hands on :) I can technically get the tfa as well but would rather from a place that does free shipping over 35$ instead of 120$ ;)

Thanks for the quick response can’t wait to try them ;)
#87 by freshepies, Nov 29. 2020, 08:18
Enjoy!
#88 by domino, Sep 12. 2022, 12:20

I love yoghurt. Really a good recipe. The blueberry is very authentic, which I like.
