Update 5-12-17: It blows my mind to still get feedback after all these months! Thanks for taking the time!
I also want to mention that I enjoy this even more by cutting the INW Raz in half. I attribute this to the difference in current hardware vs the hardware I was using when developing the recipe. Everything else stays the same tho!
Out of all the recipes I've tried, bought or diyed this is the very best one and I don't say that lightly. (Well other than 1 other that I created myself), and they are about even. If you like raspberry and custard, I can promise you that you will love this.
It is perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and just perfect in my opinion. Coop34 hit it out of the park with this one and I look forwarward to trying many more from him.
I buy my base all in one and it's 80GV / 20PG with 6mg Nic, would this recipie still work out good using this base.
I don't know what Raspberry (INAWERA)111 is and could it be changed for some other Raspberry.
@vaping power, yes you can use that base without any changes. It may slightly increase the steep time, just give it 2 weeks to taste, and a month really makes it good! As for the INW Raspberry here is a link: http://www.bullcityvapor.com/raspberry-concentrate-inw/ It is the main flavor, and can't be subbed. It is very strong, a 10ml bottle will last a while.
I let it sit for a month as you recommended. Came out beautiful. I tried it in a tank as well as a dripper, with TC and wattage and no matter how I vaped it, it tasted delicious.
I didn't try it as a shake and vape, but when the creator says a month steep time, well then, you give it a month steep time. When I get around to making my next batch (soon) it'll be a lot harder to let it sit for a month without a few drips in between.
What I really like about this recipe is that no one flavour is overpowering the other - this recipe is very nicely blended. Some times with these custard mixes, the custard/cream base overpowers the fruits after a long steep time. After a month of steeping I can still taste a hint of raspberry. I'm excited to try out your Creamy Lemon Cheesecake next.
Thanks for taking the time to give some feedback! Never gets old knowing someone likes my creation! I hope you like the lemon cheesecake, it only needs 4 or 5 days to come together. The caramel almond custard got the most votes in last month's thread, try it if it appeals to ya.
I mixed exactly as directed and gave a 6 week steep.....really tasty...great way of taming inawera Rasberry.
Do you think it would unbalance the recipe to increase the VC by 2% as I love the heavy VC taste and found it slightly light in this recipe?
Kudos.
I'm sure 2% wouldn't hurt. I'm the opposite; I like VC on the lighter side. I stepped it up a little here from where I normally use it, because INW. Thanks for the feedback!
This look so delicious. I have to try it, but I lack four flavors and are on a tight budget. I got TFA Raspberry Sweet and TFA Raspberry. Also I got VC from FW and VC vi CAP, but hose I lack I have putted on my shopping list. Gonna take a while though :(
Actually I lack only three. FA Cream fresh which I have in CAP, FA Meringue and the INW Raspberry. I understand subbing all those flavours would make it a hole other juice though.
INW Raspberry has no good sub, nothing else is close. But it is strong! a small bottle will last a long time. And I think everyone needs FA Cream Fresh in their stash, it is my go to for "creamy, milky".
This is great! I couldn't wait and took it out 5 days early, but now I'm saving it! In the meantime, I'm happy to report this will be the first 120ml I make of a DIY recipe! Really good, wondering how something like blueberry would do in place of the Raspberry, for another variation. Maybe a blueberry / bilberry combo... Anyway - thanks for sharing!
Nice, thanks - I need to pick up FW blueberry on my next order, usually go to a mix of FA Bilberry / TFA Blueberry Wild. I like the Strawberry Ripe + Orange Cream combo idea, and I've got some Orange Cream arriving this week. Thanks again for the great recipe!
@vrettok, the short answer is no. FA Apple Pie is big on crust, but very little apple. Cap however is the opposite. I suppose it wouldn't be a bad mix, just not the same.
@tarjat, Try it at the same % and see. It won't be the same of course, but should be ok. Where are you that you can't find Cap VC? If you are a custard fan, you are missing out:)
@coop34, i mixed 10ml for test, we'll see in 1 week at least (deez raspberries are stroong).
Lol i couldn't find it because when i was ordering from Chef flavours, CAP vc was out of stock (baw), on my next order i will buy that too
I hate when asked if you could sub brands. I HAVE Inw Raspberry but not TPA raspberry. Would FA raspberry be okay? I've noticed FA not as sweet as INW.
Looking forward to trying this one! Mike Epps gave a review on best of the year. His favorite liquid was a raspberry custard.........sorry can't remember the name. It's inspired me to try this.
Please let me have TPA raspberry please let me have TPA raspberry lol, is TPA raspberry sweet just TPA raspberry ?, I know sometimes they get called a couple of things like the FA range like cookie/biscotti lol,
This is ridiculously good. Made 1250ml since December, should do me for a long time. Currently rotating this, strawberry fog and peach yoghurt as regulars
Thank you for posting your recipe on this wonderful site. As a relatively new mixer, I was looking for a simple Raspberry vape and just finished mixing this up. I tested immediately in a newly wicked RDA and it was very pleasant. I have now put it away to steep for several weeks before trying it again. I did not have the sweet Raspberry so subbed TPA Raspberry. Additionally I inserted 2 drops of MF Raspberry. I will let you know how it turns out in 2-4 weeks. Thanks.
very nice after 3 weeks, at first I was not sure, but then the wick beds in and it gets addictive lol, it has a lovely over all flavour, and the meringue helps sweeten it along with raspberry, as suraclose would kill this Imo
The more I vape this the better it gets lol, u really get that nice surgery note from the meringue as well, I'm only blazing this at 12.5 watts in a kayfun 5 as well ha, mind I remember vaping at 3.7v back in the day with a kayfun lite
Best recipe I've mixed in 1 year DIYing.
For me after 2 weeks it's good to go, but it definitely reaches it's full potential after 3-4 weeks of steeping.
I had been vaping sweet fruit mixes for three months, thinking custards weren't for me. Then someone had me try this recipe. Not only did I like it, it made me look beyond juicy peaches and ripe strawberries. I'd like to thank Mr. (?) Coop34 for this wonderful recipe and for the introduction to the world of ryes, custards and pastries that came from it.
I made it to spec, waited 3 weeks and it's great. The Raspberry is surprisingly vibrant given the small amounts and the steep time. I do want a little more body to it, so maybe I'll raise the custard a bit, and/or the AP. It's a winner, for sure.
@natbone, FLV Cream in place of FA's should thicken it up. Yeah, that INW Raz is killer strong. I think I enjoy this more with it @1/2 percent. Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated!
This is really good. Using temp control I find it tastes different with varied temps. Sweeter at higher temps and more custard at lower temps. I think it shines in the 500s.
Outstanding juice. Steeped a little over two months before tasting - super smooth and creamy. Can't wait to try it after 3 months. If you like raspberry custard this recipe is a must try.
I'm still working on the same 30ml bottle and it's just getting better. I tend not to mix in large batches seeing as how I have about 2 liters of juice waiting to be vaped. However, this is such a fantastic recipe and given the steep time of a month, I just have to make a large batch. I figure 180ml to start, it's that good. It's my favorite fruit flavored custard yet, hands down.
Given a 500ml batch a 2 month steep and its good but the inawera raspberry is still very present and somewhat harsh. Hoped it would mute down after a couple of months. I'm thinking I may add Smooth to see if it softens it a tad and may substitute strawberry ripe next time as that works really well with Raspberry sweet.
Update - just mixed this batch with an old batch of the Real Raspberry Cheesecake (heavy new york cheesecake base) and it's gone taste supernova... they work so well together... credit to the creator for the original recipe... top job!
Hey coop, how much of a change occurs between steeping for a few days (3-4) and steeping for two weeks as recommended? Mine's been steeping for about 4 days and just tried it. It's pretty damn good right now and I could probably kill the whole bottle lol. But want to know if I should stick it out for the two weeks.
Ah, screw it. I'll make another, bigger bottle and have it both ways. ;)
@Antonio, you may want to start with the INW Raz at .5%, and adjust from there. This recipe was conceived back when I vaped at a whopping 11 watts lol. Around 40 watts now, and that Raz can be a little much to some folks (a lot still like it @1% tho). I hope you like it!
coop34,
Can you tell me what your INW Raspberry smells like? I've got 30 ml that I think has gone bad. It's foul and smells similar to INW Cactus. I get no Raspberry flavor from it at all.
@natbone,
Mine smells kinda funky, too, and definitely needs a steep. If you want a sweeter, s&v raspberry, TFA Sweet Raspberry is better. But for this recipe, yeah, it smells weird when you open the bottle. I would try it, it shouldn't go bad really.
Natbone, it's fair to say INW Raz may have an "off" smell, especially if you are expecting a sweet candy raspberry. It is a dark flavor for sure. You can see a couple of comments up where I mentioned lowering it.
Thanks guys. I'm pretty sure mine has gone bad. I first made this recipe and it was great. Then about 2 months later I mixed up 180ml, waited a month and it's foul. I tested it by itself and it's just nasty with absolutely no fruit taste. Oh well, I'll just order some more.
So at first this was kinda weird. But after 15 days it's fantastic. This is not a shake and vape. This recipe NEEDS to steep. I will be making another 120mls of this with half the inawera. Great job this is a great vape and well worth the wait.
I make juice for myself and and few people at work they use mtl vapes should I leave the raspberry at .3 for the stuff I make them? Or would cutting it half still be good for them with the small tanks? Thanks!
Caper, for low wattage-high ohm (I made this back when still using a Nautilus Mini around 10watts) keep the same. If more high power then I personally cut the INW Raz in half while leaving the rest the same. And no, there is no shortcut to steeping. I don't even vape this until after at least a week, a full month is best. 3 months is like "raspberry velvet" lol
I have found the same thing about the steep time. For virtually everything involving creamy flavors, unfortunately, it sucks but if you make a juice every day that needs steeping, after a couple weeks you'll have a steady supply of ready to vape juices lol.
@Mike, Fuji will take this profile in a whole other direction. But who knows, a small amount might make a great juice too. FA Apple Pie is huge on crust, but the apple is hardly noticeable this low, that's why it works so well here.
This is an exceptional mix, superbly balanced, this really hits the spot and I wouldnt say I was a huge custard fan either. Five 50ml batches made so far !!! Thanks for your hard work on this.
Rasp based vapes are my fav ADV's , this sounds great , just gotta order the Cap custard and the FA apple pie and I'm good to go , will report back , thanks for posting. 👍
@indi, If you didn't see my recent updated notes, try initially with INW Raz at half a percent (unless you already know that you like that one strong:)
@Frog, I don't have that one. From what I've read WG is quite different from Malina (concentrate). If you do sub it, I would like to know your thoughts!
@coop, I made it with inw raspberry wg last week and I'd say it is the best I've had in a long time, and I'm not even all the crazy about raspberry so that's saying a lot. I think I've finally found a recipe with a raspberry that I really like. I just wish I made a bigger bottle of it. I'm gonna order the raspberry Malina on my next order to see which one I like best.
This recipe is amazeballs! Rasberry custardy, sweet and tart, very well balanced and smooth. Tried mine after 2 weeks and didn`t find it amazing, tried it again after 4 weeks and it is the bomb. Made 800ml and don`t regret it for a second. Made 60%VG 40%PG @3mg nic. Vaping on Uwell Crown 3 and TFV12. Everyone needs this juice.
@coop34 How do you think this will turn out compared to yours? I wouldn't say I'm a MASSIVE custard fan, so I wanted to try and make it a tad fruitier. Did I ruin it? Should I scrap it for a new batch?
Urano, That's not a dramatic change. If anything the pinch of DF will only enhance it. I too lower the Malina these days. Age some of it to a full month, tell me what you think!
Mike, Char is correct. FA Apple Pie is a misnomer. Very little actual apple taste, but big on crust. 1% FA Cookie or INW Biscuit will stand in nicely. Or just leave it out if you want. It won't make a huge difference anyway!
This is my the best e-juice I've ever vaped and I've tried alot. I've just made my third 1000ml since December 2016, it's been my adv since I first tried it. I accidentally doubled the cream fresh in one batch and it was no where near as good. I'd say it tastes more raspberry donut than custard. 10/10, beautiful stuff
Mike, that's one thing that I haven't tried. If you do then I'd like to know how that works. Atko, wow thanks! You have vaped more of this than I have lol. I'm glad you like it so much, and thanks a bunch for telling me!
Hi Coop, Really like the flavour but couldn't taste enough raspberry and was a little to much biscuit, Am thinking cut the apple pie in half for starts but what would you recommend for upping the fruit flavour?
Hi Lobo. Can't taste the raspberry?? That is a first haha. Are you sure that you have Malina (concentrate) and not Wera Garden? INW caused some some confusion with those 2. WG has much the same taste, but is weaker and fades quickly. If you are sure that you have Koncentrate, well just up it to 1.5 or even 2%. I wouldn't go any higher as it gets pretty funky. As for the Apple Pie, it is there just for the massive crust that it brings, not the very little apple taste.
Honestly, I thought I had already left a comment on this a year ago, and was stopping in to leave another one to tell you how much I was still enjoying this, but turns out I didn't, so I'm telling you now.
I am vaping a four-month-old mix right this second, and I'm still continually blown away by how much I love this recipe. It's one of my absolute favorites, and I always do my best to make sure I have a long-steeped bottle on hand.
The first time I tried it, it was a batch I'd left sitting for six months, and, it was a religious experience. Dammit, one of these days, I'm going to try and let another one steep for that long, but, today is not that day!
Tried it, without vanilla custard but with simply vanilla and i also put some Baklava inside. Just testing and experimenting, the recipe is awesome. Congrats
I'm a new mixer, and this is the second recipe I've made. I gave it a good shake and a warm bath, then another good shake and into the RDA. Absolutely one of the best juices I've ever tasted. I'll be whipping up a bigger batch tomorrow to let steep for a few weeks. Its gonna be tough letting it sit that long, im sure of it. Thanks for the awesome recipe!!
I mixed this about one month ago and totally forgot about it in my steeping rack. To be honest after a recent trial with Raspberry (INW) I almost didn't even try this when I saw it. The last mix I tried with this ingredient was over the top and in your face. Not my idea of pleasant. This was a pleasant surprise to say the least! It has shown me that this Raspberry is super strong and the mix that I tried first was around 2%. This is a really good vape! Thank you for this and Bourbon Kiwi (another favorite o mine from you!)
Just about to make my 4th litre of this since I first tried it in December 2016. It has been my adv since, I think that says it all. Simply the best juice I've ever tried
I don't like sucralose, so I reach for a flavor for that. FA Meringue for most things desserty or fruity. FW Caramel Candy is really sweet, if I can work that in. INW Shisha Strawberry is syrupy, TFA Strawberry is candy-like. Marshmallow isn't sweet to me, but TFA does add body to a thin vape. And every once in a great while a drop or 2 of Cap Super Sweet is needed, but for me never more than that. Stuff's strong!
Finally got all the correct flavours together for this juice , made up 2x 100ml bottles , I know it's meant to steep a while but I tried a shake n vape and the vanilla was a little overpowering so I warmed and cooled one bottle a few times to try and calm down the vanilla custard and bring out the raspberry and apple pie and it worked beautifully , what a fantastic recipe this is , it's an absolutely lovely thick flavourful vape.
Can't wait until the other bottle steeps for a couple of weeks and I can taste the full effect of it.
Thanks so much for sharing this , really really pleased I have yet another fantastic ADV.
This is my 2nd attempt at a DIY recipe and I must say, this one is absolutely amazing! My intention was to not touch it for a month as recommended. Yeah, that didn't work out, cause here I am trying it after one week. I only had a 180 watt tank available and was a bit nervous about the 1% raspberry concentrate. I read later that this was a pretty strong flavor and that maybe .5% would be the way to go.... uhuh. The raspberry flavor is absolutely spot-on to me. There's not one bit of harshness to be found. Behind that delicious raspberry flavor is like a thick wall of flavor. I've never tried a custard vape before, so maybe that's what it is. The sweetness of the juice is perfect for me as well.
As far as the 1 month steeping is concerned.... I honestly can't imagine this tasting any better than it does right now. I made 120 ml on the first batch, I'll make a 2nd batch today to let it sit for a month, because I'm not going to wait on this one for sure.
Thanks so much Coop, for sharing this recipe!! It's excellent! It still blows my mind you can make better than commercial ejuice for less than a tenth of the cost.
I’ve been mixing this on and off for several months now and I had to drop in and share something. Mike Vapes as well as a friend have hyped up this raspberry custard juice by a British company called Royal Vapes.
Well, I finally tried the Royal Vapes Ras Custard and all I could think of was “coop34’s recipe puts this Royal Vape Ras Custard to shame”. I was amazed that this fairly simple recipe I’ve been mixing is pretty much what that company wished theirs tasted like. It has some similar notes but it pretty much tastes like a noob version of coop’s recipe. Needles to say, half way through the first tank fill I knew it was time to mix up some proper Ras Custard that’s this recipe recipe right here folks.
Hi coop34. Thank you for sharing the recipe, it really does look amazing. However, I'm not a big fan of Cream Fresh as it has an off-note that I really can't stand. Is there anything else I could replace it with? Thank you.
Demiz, FLV Cream turned out nice. It didn't make a noticeable change. TFA Bavarian would prob be good too. And you could always just omit it completely.
Hi Coop34, thank you very much for the info. I'll try TFA's Bavarian Cream, cause I don't have the other one. I would use the same percentage, or do you think I should go higher?
This recipe looks really tasty. I wanna try it, I have everyhing but Raspberry(INW). Can I sub it with one strawberry below?
Strawberry(TPA)
Strawberry Ripe(TPA)
Sweet Strawberry(CAP)
I did small adaption like take out VC and add FLV's VC as well as added MF Pear it steeped 5 months and yesss it is smooth as velvet and the raspberry really pops with all that cream ! Thanks for sharing .
Chaz, don't sub TFA AP, just make it without. FA is very light on apple, but more on crust. On second thought, try 2 batches. 1 with and 1 without. If you do then I'd like to know how the TFA apple pie turns out.
@coop34. I've made the recipe with Bavarian Cream as suggested. It's a very nice vape. Sweet enough with a lot of creamy custard going on, but the raspberry is still the star of the show, pushing through on the exhale every single time. Really good stuff man. Thank you loads for sharing. I'll definitely be making this again and I'm thinking of adding just a tiny bit of FA Caramel or Butterscotch to hopefully make the raspberry a little more jammy? I'll report back if anything good comes out of it.
Just made this as my very first diy. Only made 120 ml and of course I hadda try it. So far there isn't much flavor coming through except for cream, but I love the weight of the vape. It reminds me of Inked Traditional. Only been in steep for two days so I have a while to wait. While I'm waiting for this to come around, I'm going to look at some of the shake n vape recipes. Thanks for the post Coop.
A 120ml does take a little longer to for the full flavor to come thru, more if mixed at more than 70vg. It'll come thru tho, and I hope that you're not disappointed!
prolly should elaborate a little on last post...120ml was 4x30ml. over the weekend i mixed up 300 more at 5x60ml. Mebbe six weeks on the 60ml? the raspberry has started to ome through on the first batch. there was one bottle that didn't get quite filled up so I'm vaping on it some. the rest won't get touched until mid april. Thmanks for the shake n vape link. I will check it out.
Rtwl, iffen you like that one, it is available as a recipe pack at bull city. It isn't exactly flying off the shelf, but does get a few buys per month.
Twelve days in and this stuff is really starting to pop. The raspberry is much more pronounced on the inhale and the edge the exhale had on it has declined sharply. Its really hard to refrain from vaping it at this point. I bet it bomb after a month. I'm going to have to mix up 500 more ml because I won't want to run out. Coop...you need to run for office or sumpm...
Never tried it in this recipe, but IME V2 is not a bad substitute, it just needs a longer steep. Given at least a month it should be fine. If you don't mind let me know what you think!
Hy coop. Iam mixing also long time now. But only others recipes. I cant order flavours for the next 3 Weeks. So can i use one of this Strawberries(CAP, INW, FA) for Sweet Raspberry, to get a good, well balanced Raspberry/Strawberry mix?
This quickly became my all day every day vape. Waiting for more ingredients in the mail and i have 10 100ml bottles ready for my biggest mix yet. Thanks for this wonderful recipe
I feel like the custard is not sweet , nor the raspberry. The custard is abit hard to taste. But what i can taste i like, i just wish it was more intense. I am a mtl vaper .
Tara, this is def not a sweet recipe. I don't believe it would hurt to add sweetener to taste. Personal preference, but I rarely use it. As for flavor, there is plenty here. I used a old Atlantis around 20 watts when I came up with this one.
Hwy coop! Thank a ton for this delicious recipe! I usually MTL and it should be great there! Testing right now on a Mech mod @ .15 and its got a bit of a throat hit. I don't mind it but im wondering if i can smoothen it out. Its had a steep of a bit over a month. Better in another ? INW raz @ .5%, maybe up to .75 for a tad more rasp, or would it get too much in a sub-ohm ?
Thanks a ton again! Ill be mixing a 100ml batch soom.
Sidhu, I never notice a throat hit. But I smoked Reds for 30 years=). If you mixed 60 vg, try mixing at 70 or even 80. I would def bump up the raz if mixing that thick vg too....
Thanks Coop34 for responding ! I am having issues tasting all my flavors I make, I was using a nautilis mini at 10 watts 1.8 ohms. Like this flavor tastes good but I want it to have more flavor and be more intense. It has been steeping for 2 months now. I recently got some rta mtl tanks (berserker mini and doggystyle) in the mail and tried making single coils and still the same problem... I ordered some clapton wire... I just hope clapton coils help .. if not I will have to give up =(
I think the reason your still getting comments here in 2018 is this-People are searching around for the best Rasp Cust and this is it!
I said EFIT, and threw a 120ml together as soon as my flavors came through the door(I was missing the Malinga rasp INW and Apple Pie FA) and as a SnV, this is beautiful man. Seriously! I can't even imagine this being much better a month away, but im certain it will be. I'm going to put a 10ml aside to play with, but the other 110ml or so will be put away for the long sleep because I want to experience all it has to offer. I'm checking out all your recipes my friend. This is one that will go down as a best of the best.
On a side note, I think I've had this mix before a couple years ago when I first started vaping. I cant be sure, as it's been too long, and it hasn't even had a chance to steep, but I wouldn't be surprised if a premium juice company wouldn't just copy this custard and start selling it as their own. I truly hope that wouldn't happen, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Thx deisel, glad you like it so much! I saw a juice advertised as a raspberry custard, and the description sounded suspiciously like this recipe. At first I was kinda mad, then later I felt flattered to think that just maybe one of my recipes was good enough to be put into production=)
@TwinsWin-Comes alive? As a shake and vape it's amazing. Can't imagine it being better in a few weeks, but I'm convinced you are all correct. I just couldn't wait, so I mixed up two full batches of 120ml, one to vape straight away, and another that I'm not touching for 6 wks! After the first 120ml I took a vape and immediately made up another 120ml. I received my Rasp Malinga the same day and knew that I Loved this particular rasp flavor from Inw. I must not be alone as I've tasted this in a lot of rasp vapes over the years, well before I started mixing my own juices. It's not an authentic tasting Raspberry, but to me it's just tasty and what I like. Another great one for a single flavor is Liquid Barns Blue Rasp. 8% of that, with a little sweetener(Cap Siluper Sweet for me) and it's a real bright, wonderful mouthful of flavor.
Anyway sorry for the long post guys, I'm just very new to mixing and want to talk about everything I'm learning from all you awesome people. What's another place to discuss diy, that isn't subscription based, and welcoming to the diy newcomer? I will eventually get a paid sub over Diyordie once my finances settle down a bit. I love what Wayne is doing for the community and don't mind supporting. In the meantime, is the forum here the best solution in the interim or even the long-term?
@deisel1016. I love to hang out at the Vaping Underground DIY sections. There's a lot of great mixers and discussion. I even keep a tab open reading the old posts made there. I think you'd love the whole forum really.
You can also try Reddt DIY Ejuice. There's good info, but it seems really clique-ish sometimes. There are some dumb rules in place too, but its still worth reading. Reddit's formatting and layout takes some getting used to.
Tons of info in the wiki and sidebar (make sure you can view it, different ways to see it on mobile. Use the desktop site if you cant see it any other way). The rules have been recently relaxed, and there are a few weekly threads if you have any questions!
Thanks, it's very good after 5 months. Comparing a fresh batch to the 5 month batch, the difference is unbelievable. The steeped batch is smooth and silky but also hard to describe in words.
The 2:1 TPA:INW Raspberry ratio works well. The INW Raspberry is dark and the TPA is light, they blend together perfectly.
Your kiwi bourbon recipe is also great. Thanks again.
I've been mixing now about 18 months. My ADV back wen I was buying juice like a chump was Raspberry Custard, so upon searching for a recipe for that, of course I came across yours... Ha, it's so delicious that it kinda stalled my development as a mixer for abt 6 months, lol, cos I mixed up not much else during that time. On the other hand, I was incredibly lucky to mix up something this great on my first attempt, it really opened my eyes to the possibilities of DIY.
At first I did fall foul of the noob trap of disregarding steeping instructions out of impatience, but after I began making 2x 120ml bottles at a time, I really noticed how much better the 2nd bottle seemed to be. Eventually I came across a bottle I had mixed and forgotten about for months, and it really was sublime - Raspberry Velvet is a perfect moniker, I really think you should adopt it as the official recipe name.
I branched out into my own experimentation largely by making small changes to ur recipe, like subbing 1% INW Biscuit/ FA Cookie for the Apple Pie; or keeping the custard heart and pastry base, and subbing in different fruit top notes; or keeping the base and top the same, and swapping the Custard for CAP NYC/ TFA VBIC at the same percent. Of course none of these mixtures even approached the subtle, perfectly balanced flavour synergy of ur recipe, however none of these changes produced something nasty, and all were at least quite nice, perhaps needing a top up of a few drops to balance flavours. It was a great framework from which to learn abt the relative potency of different flavours, and which flavours work best together. This recipe truly is a masterclass in how to make a good juice, and you have my sincere gratitude and respect.
I have recently been playing with FA Custard Premium. I think it's an awesome flavour, I honestly prefer it to CAP VC1, as I think it's a bit more realistic to homemade custard. You can actually taste the cream and the egg, whereas VC1 is more like pudding. I think that ur recipe, with 3% FA Custard Premium subbed for the VC1 (or even a mix of both) is very tasty indeed.
Do you have any flavour permutations you have developed on this recipe that you could recommend? I see you mention FLV Cream in the comments, I'll give that a try next. Oh yeah, I'm actually vaping a version of this right now, with 1% FLV White Chocolate + 2% FW White Chocolate subbed for the FA Cream Fresh, and it's pretty damn tasty. I've got a bit of a sweet tooth you see.
Also, how do you feel abt pre-steeping the custard and adding the other ingredients to that as required? Would it significantly reduce the time required to reach the Raspberry Velvet stage, or do all the ingredients need to steep together for 2/3 months?
Sorry, I forgot to click the star rating wen I commented. Hope I've done it correctly this time (working on mobile). In case it didn't work I'll just say it : FIVE STARS FOR SURE!
Hey Jim. Wow at your feedback! I'm blushing /s. I really appreciate your kind words and thoughts. And I am glad that this has helped you in your mixing.
It's been over a year since I mixed this. I burned out terribly on INW Raz because I vaped so much of this custard. The variation that I enjoyed the most was FW Blueberry/TFA BB Extra in place of the raspberries. The strawberries that I tried just didn't work like I really wanted. Besides the fruits, I didn't really try many changes. FLV Cream is sublime, but I still think Fresh Cream is the best fit. And I really need to try this with Custard Premium. I only recently picked it up, and agree that it has it's pro's vs Cap. Just not enough exp with it yet to declare a new champion lol.
As far as pre-steeping, I feel the INW Raz needs the time to really get smooth. Just like the custard needs that time to develop. IMO, mixing all flavors at once is the best way to go.
Thanks again for your feedback, and motivation to once again play around with this recipe!
Hey coop, ben_gaming from Reddit here, thanking you again for what I consider to be both the best custard flavor and the best raspberry flavor of anything I’ve had the pleasure to vape— and it hasn’t even fully steeped yet so it will get even better! Thanks a million fam.
A full month and it is starting to really smooth out, finally getting that thick "mouthfeel" that can be elusive in this hobby. Thanks for the feedback, it never gets old:)
Since you said you like a cheesecake vape, have you tried e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/933359/Kiwi%20Cheesecake That one is on Bull City, actually nets me enough credit for a small reorder every couple of months. I have mixed it more times than any other recipe, never fails me.
I have cued up that insane looking Dragongirl Cheesecake that you mention, I love simple recipes
I haven't but I do have kiwi showing up in an order an the day now, looks delicious. Thanks for the recommendation and I hope you like the cheesecake flavor I recommended!
Hi Coop, thank for the recipe.I seem to be having a problem that even after a month of steeping it is coming out purfumey and all my ingredients are exact,no subs.Something is going wrong and I don't know what. Can you think of any possible reason this is happening? Thanks.
Michael, my guess is the INW Raz. It is quite strong, and I came up with this recipe years ago while using Aspire Atlantis at 20 watts or so. These days I'm vaping usually around 35-40w, and find myself using much less of strong flavorings. Try using .5% of that one flavor, keep everything else the same.
Thanks Coop for getting back so fast! That in itself is amazing.I will do what you suggest,I suspected it too.By the way,I haven't seen you post any new recipes on ELR in a while, are you posting somewhere else? Thanks again.Michael.
I have been lazy and uninspired for the last several months lol. I have been mixing mostly other's recipes. I still use ELR to do experiments and testing, then park my better ones over at alltheflavors.com
That site is free to use but $14 per year to get the full features. I am most active on reddit/r/diy_ejuice. A ton of useful resources if you aren't familiar. If you are using mobile then be sure to find how to access the sidebar so you can peruse the monthly recipe threads, best of threads etc. Thousands of recipes, a link called "flavor reviews" that is very very helpful.
Thanks so moch,I,ll check out those resources you mentioned.I have been so busy with mixing recipes I haven't looked beyond ELR.Just one last thing, you mentioned Dragongirl Cheescake ,I searched for it but came up with nothingDo you know where it is?Thanks again and all the best!
This is an amazing Recipe. The fruit flavor is very pronounced without over powering it. It is the best fruit recipe that I have tried. I did tweak it very slightly. I added .3ml/30ml of Joy. The steep time was not to bad either. It is nice with the concentration of custard to smooth it out. The use of two Raspberry, one sweet and one pronounced was a great combination.
Thx @coop34 i have the CAP raspberry, it kinda taste like fake raspberry juice or candy, not sure if it's sweet but it's quit strong, does the TPA taste the same?
It is pretty similar. The INW is the potent one here. I developed this over 3 years ago using an Atlantis tank around 20 watts. Now I vape around 35 watts, and when using INW nowadays I dial it back to .5 to .75%. It can get a bit floral at 1% and to me.
Thank you, yea i saw your comment about cutting down the INW, i use 38W so I'll probably do that.
Any fav recipes one might try? I vaped enough unicorn milk for years now, looking for something new, or at least on the side
Search alltheflavors.com, filtering by "hottest" or "most mixed". Those tend to have lots of reviews. What profiles do you like best? Fruits, creamy, cereal, desserts?
Hey EC. thanks for telling me! I have been in a slump lately, been mixing mostly other's recipes. I did just make public a V2 of this one. Cut down the number of flavors and used FA Raz 'cause I burned out on INW:)
Will any of these sub for the Fresh Cream? TFA Bavarian Cream, CAP Sweet Cream, TFA Sweep Cream, FA Vienna Cream, TFA Whipped Cream? or do i need to finally get my hands on Fresh Cream?
Moog, Fresh Cream is a staple for anyone's stash, so yeah I would pick that up. I wouldn't pick it up just for this recipe, but when making another order. Having said that, in this mix TFA Whipped would be my first choice, then Cap SC. Either would be good I suspect.
I mixed a test bottle of this 24 hours ago, I used 0.5% ina raspberry and subbed vc for fa premium custard because I prefer it over vc.
I will be mixing a bigger batch tomorrow, 5 stars mate im sure it will only get better over time too.
thanks for this mix. I made t his recently and noticed all the great comments but sadly im not experiencing the same result as everyone else. Mine is 2 months steeped now, only made a 100ml bottle. The smell of it is wierd, dont smell raspberry. Taste wise im finding it quite harsh which is odd as custard mixes usually iron out over time and get really smooth.
The only changes/additions I made to this mix is that I added:
1% TPA Smooth
1% TPA Sweetener
I do this with all my fruit based mixes. I can't figure out why I'm finding it too harsh. I don't even think it will get better after more steeping.
As for the concentrates, they were all bought new when I made this mix.
Solid, just curious as to your setup and wattages? I developed it using an Atlantis V1 at 25w. If you are way above that, then try diluting some of your bottle and see if decreased flavor helps. And I have no idea if the Smooth is causing it as I have zero exp with it....
thanks for the reply coop34.
no offence but I dont think wattage and setup really has a part to play here with the issues that I mentioned but anyhow ill tell you, im using the drop rda with a dual coil setup of a 0.2ohm build and vaping between 38-44W. I do use sub-ohm tanks as well but I like to test mixes on the rda first.
I think it might be the sweetener that is causing the harshness? could try making again without that and smooth just to see.
Another thing I forgot to mention, I made this in a 70VG 30PG ratio with 3mg nic in a glass bottle which was also breathed for an hour which I do with all my mixes then left to steep.
Did u do 1% or 0.5% raspberry as suggested?
Why not try it with no sweetener and smooth and just 0.5% raspberry and see what its like. Thats exactly why most of us stick to small test batches first to see if u like a mix or not.
Im running a wasp nano rda, 0.3 ohm @ 60w and its fine, the only sub I made was using fa premium custard instead because im not that much of a fan of cap vc! Not harsh at all its smooth and delicious but I could imagine it could easily be harsh with 1% raspberry!
I love sweet mixes and this is sweet enough without sweetener.
I think one way to take the bite off the floral flavor like Rasberry is to increase the amount of cream in a recipe. A lot of people use smooth. I feel like smooth is great in recipes and a layer of complexity of the recipe but it doesn’t always take off the bite. Sweet cream is great for this Vienna cream is good also. Might need to increase its concentration to get the profile you are looking for.
thank you for the replies!
I did 1% raspberry.
I will make it again with 0.5% and remove smooth and sweetener.
Im surprised you dont like cap vc?! first person I've heard say that lol oh well everyone has their own favourite eh @ Jamie_M
Yeah I could increase the custard to 8 or 10% which should do the trick.
Not so sure about adding other creams into it as its already got fa cream fresh, perhaps I could increase this instead of the custard? @Resonant
sounds like a good idea. I take it u haven't tried fa premium custard, its hard to look at cap once u try it as I find its in a completely different league and leaves it for dead. Well for my taste buds it does anyway!
Whatever cream you are using is fine. I would not add a different cream just increase the percentage. Personally I like Vienna cream but depends on what you are going for. I tried by making a batch and than adding a drop on my rda to see what would happen.

Thanks for the feedback Chaz! I really need to pick up the Devon Cream. I have been disappointed with so many new flavors that I have picked up, but that one sure has gotten a lot of mentions since it's been out. Maybe it will live up to the hype:) And I like the use of Shisha over Malina here, it's a lot less floral. That's a lot of custard!!
Was just a quick and dirty edit of the ambrosia custard mix. Im a little miffed lately. Since I got bronchitis im unable to touch anything with ws23, koolada etc as it leaves me wheezing so im trying to come up with some different mixes. Ive thrown it to the side to settle and will give it a quick taste tomorrow.
Thank you for this recipe! Just mixed it this afternoon and already taste a lot like Wildberry Custard from Carolina Clouds back when I use to buy ejuice. Lovin it!
I used V1 here. V2 can be used at the same %, but give it a full month to lose that off taste. Heck, this recipe needs a month to really hit it's stride anyways. Not a lot of mixes will store well, but try this at 3 months. Like Raspberry velvet:)
Flavour Creative at chefsflavours.co.uk is Flavourart, just rebottled. I buy hard-to-find in the states flavors there. Great shop! I highly recommend picking up Milk, there is nothing else like it. And Corn. "Corn you say"? Yep. Pretty much straight canned corn. "But wth would I want to vape corn"??? Pair it with Custard Premium or Cap VC, some FA Maple Syrup, a few drops of AP and a touch of sweetener. Freakin' awesome. CORNBREAD PUDDING anyone? lol
Zug, I prefer Milk over CMU. That's just me. I go back and forth on Malina vs Shisha, but prefer Malina at 1%. or lower now since my gear is more powerful than 5 years ago. FA Raz is a good flavor, but I feel is doesn't fit as well as either of the INWs in this mix.
@coop34
Thanks for your answer.
Yes, taste is different. Its not that i dont like FA Milk, but its more of a warm Milk, near a condensed Milk for me.
How ever, great recipe coop.
@coop long time a big fan of your recipe.
What you think about to use CAP NY Cheesecake for CAP VC?
Do you think that can work as a other variation?
If yes, how much CAP NY Cheesecake i could use? Same amount?
For use in a Cerebrus tank, would you recommend I use the Raspberry (Malina) (INAWERA) at the ratio listed in the original recipe or should I cut the INW Raz in half?
KC, I dont know what wattage that is, but I made this mix on an Atlantis tank. So around 25 watts. Very full flavored vape. .5 or even .75 should be good too. That Malina is powerful!
Zug, TPA Meringue is a perfect sub. In fact its the only meringue I use these days. It is a wonderful single flavor when I'm wanting something light! Flavorless is my jam these days. And makes all the old recipes new again after several days of no flavor vaping. I digressed a bit there didn't I lol
Old but gold. Just returned to this one. One of my oldest ADV, kept it in rotation for many years. It's just so goddamn smooth and everything works together, the FA apple pie rly blends in well, good layering
Takes a couple weeks to really come together. After a month it really is at it's best. Someone told me it's like raspberry velvet after 3 months.
