Notes
This is a butterscotch mix with elements of custard and creme brûlée

I wasn't really happy with a lot of the Butterscotch recipes I had been mixing so I went ahead and made one from scratch. There's no chemical/weird taste in this one which a lot of other recipes have. Butterscotch is not really the prominent flavor per se, so adjust your percentages accordingly if you want it to be more "there".

Aging time is about a week+. Obviously the longer you can wait, the smoother and tastier it gets. Feel free to try it out before a week and it'll still be pretty damn good.

Enjoy!

Misc Notes:
All these flavors are available at Bull City Vapor.
FW Butterscotch (natural) is not the same as FW Butterscotch!
Leave out CAP Graham Cracker if you want.
FW Sweet Cream and VBIC are quite different from their TFA counterparts. Please keep that in mind if you decide to sub with those (I haven't tried it personally)

Looks great! I'll have to order the 'natural' version of Butterscotch. Only have the original, which I love.
#2 by ThirdWorldOrder, Dec 28. 2015, 08:14
The original is pretty awesome but it just didn't work out well ever when I tried mixing it with other desert flavors. I ended up purchasing just about every butterscotch flavor I could find in the end and found that this one worked the best!
#3 by mjag, Dec 28. 2015, 08:57
The FW Natural Butterscotch is real good. Been trying to figure out what to do with INW Creme Brulee, it smells awesome but in my single flavor mix tests weren't so great. Going to swap out the FW SC and VBIC for the CAP versions since that is all I have. Will post back when it has had time to age. Thanks for another recipe TWO, you put up some tasty recipes.
#4 by ThirdWorldOrder, Dec 31. 2015, 18:21
Thanks mjag, please let us know how those substitutions work out
#5 by mjag, Jan 4. 2016, 22:03
A week steeping and it came out real good with the CAP SC and VBIC. I also skipped the graham cracker but might try it with a second mix. I might actually like this better than your Third World Custard which is also great.
Do you think this would make a good strawberry custard? I have nearly all the Strawberry flavors out there, I was thinking maybe INW Shisha SB at around 4 to 6% would make for one of the best SB custards out there.
Once again you have made an excellent recipe, you have mad skillz TWO!
#6 by ThirdWorldOrder, Jan 5. 2016, 18:40
Hmm, not so sure about strawberry.. It might work but it wouldn't be the first fruit I would try to mix it with. I'd probably pick tangerine, apple, or banana first.
#7 by Johnny Matthews, Jan 14. 2016, 17:13
+1 on the apple. I have a butterscotch/apple/caramel custard which is a fan favorite, works extremely well.
Damn you TWO, I have 311 flavors in my stash and I am missing 4 to mix this recipe, FOUR! Bull City doesn't ship to Canada, guess I'll have to hunt these down slowly from ECX and my Canadian vendors... Oh well. My name is Johnny, and I am a DIY-aholic.
#8 by LordVapor, Feb 3. 2016, 21:46
I get the taste of ice cream that has sat out all day with TPA VBIC. How does FW's version differ? I just got on a custard kick so I will be mixing and commenting and rating all your recipes. They all look so delicious!
#9 by ThirdWorldOrder, Feb 3. 2016, 23:34
@LordVapor, I've never had FW or TPA VBIC standalone, but I can tell you that I like FW a lot more. TFA VBIC is strange and sometimes gets an annoying peppery flavor when interacting with other flavors. I use the FW version mainly for a little bit added sweetness and cream here.. I can't imagine that TFAs would be a very good substitute.
#10 by saryou, Feb 15. 2016, 05:01
Wow, this stuff is great after 3 weeks of steeping. Need to make a huge batch. Kind of pissed I only made 50ml. Made it as is.
#11 by NotCharlesManson, Mar 17. 2016, 03:32
I finally made this last week. Tried it about an hour ago. It's amazing.
#12 by footballrain7, Mar 23. 2016, 08:07
@thirdworldorder Have you ever had Wookie cookie by vapor hut? I've been trying to clone it for months as my ADV and I am running in circles. I was wondering if this recipe tasted anything like it.
#13 by chrome, Mar 24. 2016, 16:24
So I made this on 2/29 and tried it after a day and it was absolutely amazing. I just went back to it last night, almost a month later and the butterscotch is almost muted. It's hard to explain... I can still taste the properties of butterscotch but its not like it was as freshly mixed. I usually vape Sugar Rush/Unicorn Milk Leak so I don't think there is any vaper tongue issues here.

Has anyone tried this after a month steep and if so are you having similar results? Is this the result of not enough butterscotch natural or too much?
#14 by ThirdWorldOrder, Mar 24. 2016, 19:31
Hey chrome, did you use the exact ingredients, including the FW creams (instead of CAP)? I haven't noticed and taste change due to extended steeping times.
#15 by chrome, Mar 24. 2016, 20:38
Yep, I used the exact flavors. I will mix another 30ml up without nic this time see if I get similar results.

Thanks again for sharing all your great recipes!
#16 by chrome, Mar 24. 2016, 20:42
Ok actually. I just checked my print out from the Juice Calc and 1 flavor was substituted (my bad) but I don't think the flavor in question would cause issues. I always use GC v2 instead of v1... damn :/
#17 by Rbait, Apr 1. 2016, 19:21
Left out the GC but this recipe is solid AF! Thanks for sharing it. The butterscotch natural has also opened up some ideas that I would have never considered without this recipe.
#18 by KGuardian, Apr 2. 2016, 22:01
I let this one simmer for a couple of weeks and it's excellent. I'm liking the FW Natural Butterscotch a lot. I can see that one being very useful.
#19 by Byter, Apr 19. 2016, 04:52
Hey TWO, Love the Sugar Rush so now I'm gonna make Imperial Butterscotch. I have CAP Bavarian Cream instead of TPA. What do you think of that substitution? A little more / less? Altogether different or even swap? Thanks.
#20 by ThirdWorldOrder, Apr 19. 2016, 05:01
Hey byter, ditch the CAP Bavarian Cream - they are totally different flavors. I also don't like CAP Bavarian very much at all so just leave it out. Don't worry the recipe will still taste great!
#21 by BunnyT, May 2. 2016, 18:06
I really wanted to like this one. Really. I get that celery taste from the butterscotch. Still a big fan of Third World Custard. This one is not for me.
#22 by ThirdWorldOrder, May 2. 2016, 18:07
Celery taste? Were you using the butterscotch (natural) or the regular butterscotch? Interesting.
#23 by BunnyT, May 2. 2016, 21:44
The natural. I just can't vape butterscotch. I was hoping the natural would end the celery taste. I've experienced that before in other butterscotch juices. I'm sure it's a good recipe it's just the butterscotch and celery.
#24 by BunnyT, May 16. 2016, 18:33
I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. I let it sit for another 10 days and no more celery taste. In fact, it's realllllly good!!
#25 by Vynnyn, May 20. 2016, 01:32
Finally, perfect butterscotch! I also made a batch subbing Graham Cracker v1 (CAP) with Chai Tea (CAP) - Makes a wonderful Butterscotch Chai flavor. Thanks - this one is now in my standard ADV rotation.
#26 by PaulyyyEM, May 30. 2016, 05:32
@thirdworldorder I live in the Netherlands so its really hard for me to get flavourwest flavours but i placed one order with some flavours i wanted from the UK and ordered butterscotch (riple) because dwayne really recommended it and i wanted to try his Triple C. that was before i saw this recipe. This butterscotch is so creamy and just delicious but because you maked this particuliery with the Natural i wondering what percentage i need to use. Im gonna order graham cracker so cant start yet but i really want to try this. Do you now butterscotch (riple) and if so what % you recommend?
#27 by Cristyvapejones, Jul 8. 2016, 06:06
Just restocked on flavors from BCV, but don't have Butterscotch Natural or Creme Brûlée. What are the differences between natural and the regular flavors?
#28 by The_Ckemist, Aug 2. 2016, 00:28
Will have to use original FW butterscotch lol, I'm on a concentrate ban due to having over a grands worth in my draw lol, if not more to be honest lol
#29 by The_Ckemist, Aug 2. 2016, 00:29
So pleased you mix at my kinda percentages, I pass on anything over 17% lol, well I make the odd exception but I won't mix over 20% no matter what, I don't see how u could need 20% Flavor
#30 by JTC, Sep 12. 2016, 23:23
Awww dam
I really wanted to like this but after a 6 week steep it's way too weak in every way for my taste.
Thanks anyway
#31 by ejexe, Sep 26. 2016, 19:59
@JTC Maybe try it after a week instead of a month and a half? Props for being patient, but juice does have a shelf life. Nowhere on this page does it recommend leaving it for that long..
#32 by Robinsue , Oct 7. 2016, 00:11
Hi I know I'm waay late on this one, but in comment #3, mjag used cap sc and vbic instead of the fw versions and I was wondering if he used the same %s or if he changed it. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!!
#33 by JTC, Oct 7. 2016, 00:23
Sorry @ejexe but if I can't make enough of any juice that won't keep 6 weeks then that juice ain't no good to me.
Yes juice does have a shelf life and that is usually 2 years :D
#34 by Robinsue , Oct 12. 2016, 05:57
Does anyone know how much caps vanilla bean ice cream I could substitute for fw vbic in this recipe?
#35 by horizonism, Oct 12. 2016, 20:53
Just jumping on to say this is an absolutely awesome recipe. I (completely accidentally) subbed in TPA Graham Cracker for CAP Graham Cracker v1.

(Was a last minute thing when I was half way through making a 30ml tester, and only then realised I only had the TPA GC). It's amazing regardless.

My friend enjoyed it so much, he stole the final third of the 30ml tester I had going after a one week steep, and attempted to steal the 120ml I made last weekend.

Fantastic stuff! Well done & thank you for sharing the recipe @ThirdWorldOrder
#36 by Lama, Nov 3. 2016, 02:55
TY TWO, had to sub the Butterscotch but have the rest. Hopefully it will turn out good :)
#37 by Bledzepplin, Nov 15. 2016, 17:38
Excellent five stars
#38 by A.D.V., Jan 11. 2017, 05:06
made exact, steeped 3 weeks. great recipe! absolutely not compaints, though i would call it butterscotch creme brûlée. i usually do not like FW VBIC but it is barely noticeable in this mix and just adds a creamy aspect. no off flavors and a great (though heavy vape-all butterscotches are heavey in the lungs). but this one does not give the astringent and cloweyness that the others i have tried do. really does taste like creme brûlée with a thick butterscotch cracking on top. 5/5 flavor!
#39 by ItzMrWright, Feb 16. 2017, 04:42
Very good
#40 by benjy337, Feb 17. 2017, 04:06
Another great recipe by you, thanks!
#41 by juice junkie, Feb 21. 2017, 23:56
This looks great! Thank you! I just mixed this up with Liquid Barn Creme Brulee instead of Inawera. I double the % because it seems LB is a little weaker than Inawera! It taste really good SAV but I bet its excellent in a week!
#42 by Cowboy, Mar 5. 2017, 05:56
I cant wait to try this. it looks heavenly!! will comment when I get it made and steeped. thanks
#43 by Geb, Mar 14. 2017, 23:53
I'm about to mix this one up. Do you think FLV butterscotch or FW butterscotch ripple is a reasonable sub for the natural butterscotch? if so what might be a good percentage for the sub?
#44 by ThirdWorldOrder, Mar 15. 2017, 00:55
Geb -- haven't used either of those flavorings before. I think the butterscotch ripple has sugar in it so I try to steer clear of it. If you're going to do FLV route, use a lot less since it's probably a lot more concentrated (~1.5 - 2%?? No idea, just shooting in the dark.) Hopefully it works out!
#45 by DougC, Mar 28. 2017, 01:26
Excellent recipe. Mixed it exactly. The Creme Brulee and Butterscotch Natural are an excellent combination that makes this mix perfect. I discovered a 3 month old bottle of this and it is incredibly good. Flavorful, creamy smooth, velvety perfection. Thanks so much for sharing TWO!
#46 by c0ntax, May 24. 2017, 23:53
Had this steeping for 6 days now and it's really good. After 2 days it was good but it's getting better every day.
I find, though, it has a floral/fruity taste for some reason. The OH thinks it has a bit of a spicy/cinnamon taste to it. Hoping that will go with further steeping.
#47 by Geb, Jul 9. 2017, 15:02
Got all the missing flavors and mixed as described about a week ago and it's very nice. Since I have plenty of other juices I'm putting this one in the back on my steeping closet and will revisit in a few weeks. I suspect it will be fantastic after a month or so steep. Funny part is I like butterscotch candies etc. but every commercial butterscotch juice I purchased was "ok" at best. I'm finding more and more that DIY recipes are way better (and in some cases waaaaaaay better) than similarly profiled commercial juices. This is a 5 star mix for sure. Thanks for sharing it. Last to anyone who happens across this comment: do yourself a favor and mix up a bottle of TWO's Hawaiian Tiger Blood (recipe is at ATF) - by FAR the best Tiger Blood mix I've had (and I've mixed at least a dozen variations of tiger blood) - it immediately went into my daily rotation and went from a 15ml tester to a full on 120ml bottle so I don't run out.
#48 by ThirdWorldOrder, Jul 10. 2017, 01:34
Thanks Geb, I didn't notice that I had that Tiger's Blood recipe set to private. It's public now for convenience!
#49 by Geb, Jul 15. 2017, 04:26
@TWO - I came back to this mix today (7/14). after about 2 weeks it's fantastic. I mixed it without the graham cracker as I don't really care for cinnamon notes. may mix a small 10/15 batch to see how it is with a small amount (1/2 % shouldn't be too strong in the mix). This is an ADV for sure. Like with so many of your mixes it puts me on a search for other recipes with a similar profile. I tried several commercial butterscotch juices but didn't care for any of them. this mix changed my mind about butterscotch. thanks for posting. this is a five star juice.
#50 by Fleming, Sep 19. 2017, 04:10
Wow is all I got to say
#51 by anILLytical, Sep 19. 2017, 17:13
I love myself butterscotch milkshakes, but I have yet to find a decent butterscotch juice. I've bought all listed ingredients. (Had to buy from 3 different sites to get the exact ones here in the U.K.) I made a 120ml batch today as per the exact recipie. I will report back and rate the juice when I know what it's like!
#52 by HMoore, Oct 29. 2017, 01:20
Has anyone out there tried swapping out the creme brûlée for a butterscotch ripple for those that want a little more butterscotch?
#53 by ThirdWorldOrder, Oct 29. 2017, 03:21
You can add/sub Medicine Flower Butterscotch @ 1% if you want more butterscotch. It’s the best butterscotch on the market.
#54 by HMoore, Oct 29. 2017, 15:10
oh my, I'll have to find that one. I've not heard of Medicine Flower ~ thanks!
#55 by Fleming, Nov 23. 2017, 18:51
Do you mean like from medicine flowers site or lotus brand butterscotch
#56 by ThirdWorldOrder, Nov 23. 2017, 21:21
I think they are the same thing. FWIW I ordered directly from Medicine flower.
#57 by pgall, Jan 3. 2018, 12:57
Just came here to say this is hands down the best Butterscotch mix I have vaped. Unbelievable! I happened to also use FW Butterscotch (regular) instead of ( Natural) and it it was amazing too. I also tried using INW Custard @ 1% for CAP VC but just wasn't as creamy without the DAAP. There's no getting round the fact that without DAAP, it's gonna be crap. By the way, i'v read somewhere that Butter Rum is a great way to accent Buttersscotch so will might try that in your recipe. Cheers for sharing man!
#58 by ThirdWorldOrder, Jan 3. 2018, 13:54
Glad you enjoyed this one! Butter rum does sound quite delicious.. I’ll have to try that as well. I’ll probably take out graham cracker (doesn’t really mesh with butter rum) and add Loranne’s flavoring. Last time I tried it, it was pretty damn close to tasting like those lifesaver candies. I think Ken had a good recipe with that flavoring so I’ll just steal it and adapt 😈
#59 by pgall, Jan 3. 2018, 14:12
By the way, I tried using JF Yellow Cake @2% to give it body but it just took away from the profile and overall taste. I couldn't get lorann's Butter Rum, only have FW Butterscotch Rum, which I ordered for your recipe. Can't wait to try it.
#60 by anILLytical, Jan 10. 2018, 23:36
So my feedback, it was an interesting vape. But over time I have found it a bit sickly. Shame really, thanks for the recipe tho bro. I think I will make a batch again eventually. I just haven't found it to be an ADV. 4 stars
#61 by Zugmaschine, Feb 25. 2018, 15:22
Can i use Graham Cracker (Clear) instead of GC from capella? Or will that change the nature of this recipe much? Is because i dont like the Cinnamon in Capella GC.
#62 by ThirdWorldOrder, Feb 25. 2018, 15:23
You don’t even have to add it zugs. Make it without it and if you feel like adding graham, go ahead and add the TFA one and see if you prefer it.
#63 by Chris Smitty, Feb 25. 2018, 23:47
This is one of the best custards I have mixed or vaped hands down. I made it with One on One Creme brulee. It is sweet, smooth, and just a hint of savory from the butterscotch. Great job almost 2 years later!
#64 by Carlitosway, Mar 17. 2018, 04:57
wow!!! this is good 5 star
#65 by Zugmaschine, May 3. 2018, 18:43
@ThirdWorldOrder, @all
FW Butterscotch, cant get here in germany. To order it in USA is very expensive. So i have:
FW Butterscotch
FW Butterscotch Ripple
LA Butterscotch
FA Butterscotch
FLV Butterscotch
I know, now one will be the same like Natural, but whitch one is the best sub? O what flavours i can add, to come near the original Recipe?
I want make this Recipe so long time now ...
#66 by Debbiej, Jun 19. 2018, 16:21
It. Is. Good. Thank you
#67 by Zugmaschine, Jun 20. 2018, 19:02
Lately i got the FW Butterscotch Natural. And it was worth to buy it. After 2 weeks steeping Its a really tasty juice. I add a little more Butterscotch in my following Mix and changed to FW GC, because i dont like the Cinnamon of CAP GC. Thanks for this good Recipe @TWO.
#68 by BoyHowdy, Sep 18. 2018, 10:58
Another great mix , Thank You TWO!
#69 by VaporGuildRecipes, Feb 18. 2019, 05:01
Very delicious. You and I seem to share a similar palette. My adv for the past year has been a iteration of your Maiden Milk. I’ve probably gone through 5,000 mls or more. Keep up the great work man!
#70 by Sub Vapes, Jul 29. 2019, 12:54
Delish, rich n smooth. Mixitup.
#71 by Braveheartldy, Nov 9. 2019, 06:43
Mixed this on 10/05/19 and forgot about it. Tasted it just now... it's very good.
#72 by Cilo, Jul 12. 2020, 22:53
