This is a new recipe. The previous are all still published.
#2 by Apathy, Jul 3. 2016, 19:46
Ok thank you very much for publishing
#3 by Apathy, Jul 3. 2016, 19:57
Damn i thought i had the italian cream, ive got the hangsen icecream! Damn!
#4 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 3. 2016, 21:26
Is the fa marshmallow alot better/different from tfa?
#5 by K0LD, Jul 3. 2016, 22:09
Sounds delicious. What does the Italian cream do for it? Any subs for that? I have FA Catalan cream and FA cream fresh.
#6 by Apathy, Jul 3. 2016, 23:28
I think Fa marshmallow is thicker, creamier, & more fluffy, where as tfa is more of just a sweetener, but thats just me
#7 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 4. 2016, 00:14
Thanks @apathy, I'll have to get that on my next order...@kold, I'm going to make it now and use Catalan cream...never used it before, but, I'm sure it'll be good :)
#8 by Alisa, Jul 4. 2016, 02:09
@Michael305 - The TFA Marshmallow should work, it just won't be as sweet. What @Apathy said. :)
@K0LD - the Italian Cream is a Heavy Cream flavor. Just cream with no sweetness. Gives a great richness to a recipe. If I didn't have it, I would try using the FA Cream Fresh in it's place.
#9 by DIYRS, Jul 5. 2016, 12:06
Nice recipe Alisa ;)
#10 by Alisa, Jul 5. 2016, 14:38
Thank you @recipecollector!
#11 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 5. 2016, 17:32
Well, I ordered those last night, BCV had a 4th of July sale :)
#12 by Alisa, Jul 7. 2016, 14:15
Awesome, @Michael305 ! Let us know how you like it, if you end up making this one.
#13 by anon6970, Jul 16. 2016, 01:08
How much does the ratio matter?
#14 by anon6970, Jul 16. 2016, 02:05
Just wondering because I use sub-ohm tanks mostly....but I do build and a few RDA's
#15 by anon6970, Jul 16. 2016, 08:12
Alisa...I have all the flavors and getting ready to pull the trigger on mixing this...just need your wisdom
#16 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 16. 2016, 12:48
@anon6970...you can change whatever you want....mame it 70/30, 80/20, use the wrench on the top right, and hit adapt, you can change anything :)
#17 by anon6970, Jul 16. 2016, 12:55
ok cool..I don't use this site to mix...using ejuice calculator =)
I just want Alisa's input ...Just want to know if the "to-die-for" comment hinged at all on the ratio......I wanna experience Alisa's vision..completely... =P Oh and If I gotta let s**t steep for a month..I wanna know I'm doing the right thing...
#18 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 16. 2016, 13:03
I quit using pg personally, as for adding it in a mix to make it 70/30, and I don't notice any difference in flavor...other people say they do notice a change...

On another note, you could still use the wrench and transfer those notes over to your other calc....
#19 by Alisa, Jul 16. 2016, 17:24
@annon6970 I love this recipe and use it max vg, but I tend to make large batches and let it sit for many weeks before vaping it. I believe you should try it with your own ratio to see if it's something you like. Perhaps make two separate batches with different ratios of pg/vg to see if you think there is enough difference to matter. I don't think there will be much of one, but please let us know!
#20 by tw2k, Jul 16. 2016, 18:21
Delicious after a 2 week steep. Thanks for such a great vanilla custard.
#21 by Alisa, Jul 16. 2016, 18:43
Thank you @tw2k ! So glad you like. :)
#22 by The Vaping Surveyor, Jul 29. 2016, 13:37
I must be vaping a slightly altered version, since I made a comment the 5th, and I made this the 3rd. But this is super delicious!!
#23 by Alisa, Jul 29. 2016, 13:42
Thanks Michaeli305! Glad you are enjoying it.
#24 by CloudNine1, Aug 28. 2016, 11:52
@kold did you try it with Catalan cream fa.? @Alisa thanks for the recipe.I'm mixing now..
#25 by K0LD, Aug 28. 2016, 22:20
@GDesigns I made 120ml using fa cream fresh. It was delicious
#26 by CloudNine1, Aug 28. 2016, 22:23
Thanks bud. I'll give it a try
#27 by altneurose, Aug 30. 2016, 19:28
Mixed, steeped, and it seems that I can't handle HS italian cream at all. It's sooo strong and to me, tastes like plastic, play-doh and vomit. Such a pity, so many people seem to enjoy this recipe.
#28 by lola, Sep 24. 2016, 13:22
Alisa, do you use this one as a base or standalone?
And at how much % do you use as a base or standalone ?

just for exemple, I made
custardstone v1 10% + sweet strawberry 6% (was great !)

at how much % use this custard v3 with same % of sweet straw ?

I realize it's maybe not a stone ?
whatever it is, I'm sure it's a great one again !!

#29 by Alisa, Sep 24. 2016, 17:31
@lola - I vape this one just as is and really enjoy it. If I wanted a strawberry added to it, I would try Medicine Flower's Strawberry with it, because that particular strawberry doesn't seem to fade after a few weeks like others do in custards.
#30 by CloudNine1, Sep 24. 2016, 18:11
Please what can i sub for italian cream ..Thanks im advance

Gdesigns coil arts uk
#31 by Alisa, Sep 24. 2016, 18:22
@GDesigns - the Italian Cream is a Heavy Cream flavor. Just cream with no sweetness. Some get even a little sour/tartness from it. Gives a great richness to a recipe. If I didn't have it, I would try using the FA Cream Fresh in it's place though.
#32 by Thecod003, Oct 8. 2016, 16:35
What ratio should I use v2 custard at. Never had v1
#33 by Alisa, Oct 8. 2016, 16:46
I've typically used the v2 at about the same percentage as the v1 in recipes, @Thecod003
#34 by Thecod003, Oct 8. 2016, 18:54
Thanks alot for the help. Just waiting on some flavours but looking at the comments and you're sheer list of mixes I'm pretty sure it will be epic.
#35 by Thecod003, Nov 1. 2016, 18:14
Very very rich and tasty custard. The Mrs loves it and so do I. Alisa you are a genius with recipes. I recommend not substituting any of the flavours as this is incredible.
#36 by DougC, Nov 13. 2016, 03:36
As a rule I don't touch a custard mix for at least a month and was a little leery when you said it was "yummy" at 2 weeks. I made an exception, split the difference and tried it at 3 weeks. This is incredibly delicious @Alisa. Thank you so much for sharing.
#37 by Alisa, Nov 13. 2016, 18:25
Thank you both for your kind comments, @Thecod003 and @DougC . Made my morning!
#38 by Fleming, Nov 22. 2016, 23:37
I want to make this so bad your tobacco cannoli recipe is amazing. but i am out of cheesecake graham crust. would it work if i subbed with cheesecake cap and graham cracker cap
#39 by Alisa, Nov 23. 2016, 14:57
It won't be the same, but it will still be very good, @Juice ! Just go for it and make a small batch up. Make sure and let it age a couple of weeks though before making your judgement!
#40 by K0LD, Nov 23. 2016, 17:55
@Juice Cheesecake graham crust is one of those flavors you need to have in your arsenal. You should get some.
#41 by Lolly, Jan 8. 2017, 17:28
So I had to sub Hangsen for FA Cream Fresh but this is a deliciously rich custard, which just keeps getting better and better with age! I'm glad I mixed up a big batch and have also added the Hangsen IC to my next shopping order! Thanks for being so awesome at mixing lovely @alisa!
#42 by Alisa, Jan 8. 2017, 17:51
Thank YOU, dear @Lolly . What very sweet comments. I'm so glad you like this recipe. It has stayed in my ADV rotation since I made the first batch. :)
#43 by DougC, Feb 18. 2017, 00:08
I had to comment again. Rearranging some bottles I discovered a bottle that I mixed 3 months ago. Wow. Simply wow!!! It is so smooth, creamy and flavorful. I'd like to say more, but I'm rearranging again, hoping I will find another bottle! ;-) Thanks again @Alisa, for a truly incredible recipe.
#44 by Alisa, Feb 18. 2017, 00:41

Most welcome Shelley_12
#49 by natbone, May 16. 2017, 14:27
I just pulled out a 30ml I made 7 weeks ago. It's extremely good, one of the best custards I've tried. I'm happy to be able to use the Hangsen which I bought on a whim a while ago. This will make a great base. Thanks, Alisa.
#50 by Alisa, May 16. 2017, 15:46
Very happy to know you like it, @natbone . :)
#51 by robin, Jun 11. 2017, 06:35

#54 by Alisa, Dec 21. 2017, 21:08
Vape on, vape happy, @45 CALIBER JUICES' !! :)
#55 by Eggsaladsandwichhead, Jan 2. 2018, 06:54
All I'm missing is the Italian cream! Alisa do you think Hangsen Cream would sub for it (I'm in lurve with that flavor...) or should I use Cream Fresh like some other commenters? Sorry if you are sick of answering sub questions, but I JUST hit send on a large order and can't afford the shipping to just get one more... (Banging my head on the table as I want to try this exactly as you have written it.) And Happy New Year to you!
#56 by Alisa, Jan 3. 2018, 20:00
I would definitely try that Hangsens, @Eggsaladsandwichhead ! Please let us know how it turns out.
#57 by Hiwayhero, Feb 7. 2018, 15:59
Just finished mixing up 240 ml of this.... now the wait! So far, I have enjoyed your creations very much! Hence, the large batch this time bc I thoroughly love custards! Thanks so much for sharing it 😎 💨💨
#58 by Alisa, Feb 8. 2018, 01:02
Oh wow! I do hope you love it as much as I do, @Hiwayhero .
#59 by kirstyl88, Mar 7. 2018, 02:08
This is honestly the best most authentic custard recipe ive ever vaped!! Great work with this one. The addition of hs italian cream is what makes this stand out from the rest. Thanks so much for sharing. New adv! Mixing up 500ml more today! I never want to run out of this!
#60 by Alisa, Mar 9. 2018, 00:22
I am so very glad you are enjoying this. It's in my rotation today too. I definitely agree about the Italian Cream, @kristyl88 . My favorite custard vape as well! :)
#61 by 45 CALIBER JUICES', Mar 9. 2018, 18:46
Hey Alisha, I just ran out of VCv1 do you think I could try TFA, Vanilla Custard, and it would still turn out decent?
#62 by 45 CALIBER JUICES', Mar 9. 2018, 18:46
I meant Alisa!
#63 by Alisa, Mar 11. 2018, 01:21
@45 CALIBER JUICES' - You should try a small batch with the TFA and see if you like it. I don't think it will be quite as 'rich' or 'thick' feeling/tasting, as with the CAP , but please let me know how it turns out for you!
#64 by 45 CALIBER JUICES', Mar 11. 2018, 01:25
i'M placing a new order of flavours! I should know better, lol gonna get my cappellas VCv1
#65 by Whothrewthepoop, Apr 5. 2018, 13:48

#67 by Chiva1074, Jun 5. 2018, 05:26
I made about 6 different Vanilla Custard recipes I found on the internet, and this one is my favorite. I let them all steep for a month, then did a taste test to see which one I liked the best. I think your recipe is awesome!!! Great job!!! Thanks!!!
#68 by Alisa, Jun 6. 2018, 01:47
That's wonderful, @Chiva. Thank you so much for your time in commenting on this recipe. :)
#69 by hussam, Aug 8. 2018, 08:47
Hey Alisha, I m looking this topic caramels, hidden cinnamons and deep and intense biscuits where a haze of tobacco lingers can you advice me seam this recipe thanks
#70 by Tim Edwards, Feb 5. 2019, 17:04
Mixed up 200mls of this just over 2 weeks ago and tried it yesterday.. its lovely!!

Im just buying the ingredients to make more! Do you think I could shave a bit off the Cheesecake (say 0.5%) and sub with Cap French Vanilla to being a bit more vanilla to the front? Im getting quite a bit of the biscuit coming through...or will the vanilla custard come through stronger in the next couple of weeks?
#71 by spaga78, Feb 20. 2019, 20:58
Thanks for all your great recipes Alisa! Was curious if you've tried the dx bavarian cream from tpa and how different this recipe would be with the substitute.
#72 by Alisa, Feb 20. 2019, 21:22
@hussam ... sorry I don't do cinnamons well.

@Tim Edwards .. Letting it age is key. True for most custard based recipes.

@spaga78 I have done the DX version before and just needed to let it age longer for the desired result.
#73 by spaga78, Feb 20. 2019, 21:25
Awesome, thanks for quick response.
#74 by deb , Mar 27. 2019, 02:57
going to mix this ASAP! Your mixes are very good, I don't comment very often... but some recipes are just too dang low on %'s... I need to taste my juice... lol
#75 by Strange- loop, Jul 21. 2020, 02:02
I wish i knew where to get that Italian cream. I’m dying to try this recipe!!
#76 by Alisa, Nov 12. 2020, 20:20
@Strange- loop .... My favorite vendor no longer sells it I guess, but I did find it DIYVaporSupply: https://www.diyvaporsupply.com/italian-ceam-ha/
