Very easy and after stepping for 1 week is absolutely amazing. Thank you for this simple but very good recipe. Easily added to my ADV. I made a 20ml batch now off to make a 120ml. Thanks!
This was my first try at DIY. This simple yet, ADV worthy recipe has not only made me love strawberry vapes but also now I'm not regretting the somewhat high initial expense of being a DIY'er. Thanks Fizzmustard!
Tried this with Strawberry (TPA) and it's good, second batch Ripe Strawberry (TPA) and liked it even more. Used Vanilla Bean Gelato (TPA) for both. Thanks for the great recipe.
I'm getting a funky smell. Never used tfa vanilla ice cream. Does it smell weird until it steeped or something? The strawberry smells fantastic though.
Mixed this up and tried it right away but that peppery VBIC was just awful... now a week later it smells amazing and trying it out again it's great. Guess it just needs some steeping.
WOW, that is amazing how good it is with this simple recipe!
Couldn't find Strawberry so I used CAP sweet strawberry and it is AWESOME!
Thank you very much for sharing this recipe. Very kind of you!
Didn't have Vanilla bean icecream so I used 4% Vanilla bean Gelato (TFA) instead, 2% French Vanilla (TFA) and 6% Ripe. Gave it 3 warm baths (15 minutes each) with cap off and a good shake between each bath. Tastes great right after.
After 10 days or so, this stuff is a really easy yummy vape. The VBIC is too potent at first. I might adjust the percentages a tiny bit in the future, but it's easy and good. Just needs a long rest.
To be honest, i think that the taste is a bit "flat".. The strawberry is a bit sharp in its taste which i kinda like, but I dont really get a vanilla ice-cream "sensation".. Tried up'ing the vanilla bean ice cream percent a bit but with no luck..
Any advices ?
So I dropped the strawberry to 5%, added 2% tfa milk and used caps new vbic and it smells tricked amaze balls.lurifax, try adding sweetener and little em. Go 1% for sweet and .5 for em. The tfa milk helps as well for that nesquick reminiscence. if you try adding whipped cream or marshmallow you will get a better mouth feel. That with em should over all give you a more rounded vape.
Yeah for the most part at least I haven't used the French vanilla from cap I'm assuming it's a sweetener though seems like a good revision though if the mouth feel or sweetness isn't quite there try bumping the marshmallow up a bit. After a hot bath and 3 days everything should mellow out nicely
I think the French Vanilla from CAP is a bit more sweet than TFA's version, and i wanted to create a nice "vanilla sensation" with strawberry taste.. Think ill buy the flavours to mix the cutwood unicorn milk clone in here, and see how that works out, some day
But thanks for the input, it smell's really good allready
If you have the means I'd give caps new vbic a try it's like their custard without the vomit. Lol that em will really mellow out the strawberry though I hope it's what you're looking for
Thank you for posting! (vomit lol danbrochill) I just started on sub ohm and found flavorings act different at high wattage. I had to knock down nic from 6 to 1 mg so quickly had to get some recipes to vape. This is not a shake and vape, it needs time. At first taste I would cut that Vanilla Bean down to about 4% maybe? That will be my next try on this.
This is my favorite ADV right now. I made 15ml yesterday substituting the Strawberry 6% with Strawberry Ripe 3% and TFA Strawberries and Cream 3%. Then added LA Cinnamon Roll 1.5%.
It was so good I bought more flavors and made 150ml today. This time substituting the Strawberry 6% with Strawberry 3% and Cap Sweet Strawberry 3%.. I added LA Cinnamon Roll 1.5% again. It's so good right now I can't wait for it to steep. I think for my next batch I will go back to the Strawberry Ripe 3% and TFA Strawberries and Cream 3%..
I dont have vanilla bean ice cream so i tried the following
Cream Fresh (FA) 1%
Strawberry (Ripe) (TPA) 4%
Strawberry (Veracura) 2%
Sweetener 1%
Vanilla Bean Gelato (TPA)4%
Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP) 1%
I doesnt taste anything like strawberry or vanilla.. Input anyone ? :)
Barnacle try more Strawberry Ripe, like 6-7%. I think too much Vanilla Bean Gelato. Everything else looks like a good mix to me if you want to taste the Strawberry.
Fantastic mix simple but great 4 day steep and i am loving it
you got to have the right build i am using 27g kanthal twisted dual
0.27 ohm the flavor is rich and well balanced not for a tank but that's my opinion
thank you.
This was the first recipe I mixed. Liked it. Very convenient to have and easy to remember. Also, easy to start experimenting with other flavors. I subbed TPA Ripe Strawberry and it works better for me as a shake'n'vape. But the author here is right, when it comes to the full steep time. Thanks Fizz.
Just whipped up a 120ml bottle of this at 80/20. Just after a quick shake and letting it sit with the cap off for about a half hour, this smells and tastes incredible. I'm a huge fan of One Hit Wonder's Milkman, but I think I just found a replacement for it. Great ADV. Can't wait to try this after a good steep!
Any chance someone can convert these measurements to weight? I'm guessing that VG (Which I intend on using for nicotine) is denser than PG/Water therefore I can't do the ML/Gram 1:1 :( Thanks in advance.
Leon. Here is a guide to mixing by weight and the calculator that is linked there is awesome: http://www.vapingunderground.com/threads/guide-to-mixing-by-weight.22891/
I mixed some a while back and all I got was a peppery vanilla taste and killed my wicks in a day. I reduced the amount of vanilla bean ice cream to 2% and it was better, but still not liking it.
Hi. Made this recipe from the exact recommendations: ingredients and weight. First day was significantly strawberry heavy. By the 4th day it had calmed down to a very nice vape. Good recipe.
I made this 2 times. Steeping for 2 weeks. I taste pepper from VBIC. (((
I also contacted TFA for some recommendations about it, they told me that artificial Vanilla molecules they use can turn out as pepper to some people, and recommended to reduce VBIC amount and steep it for a month!!! Or if you need to get natural vanilla, try there Vanilla Bourbon. But any way now i reduce there Vanilla custurds and creams to 2% max and it is almost OK to vape for me. Hope this helps to all who are on my pepper side (((
I had to use Strawberry (Atmos Lab) because I was out of Strawberry (TPA) with the same percentages.
Steeped for a week.
This is amazing!
Thanks a lot man!
Mixed this one up and gave it slightly more than a week steep. Fantastic stuff! Looking forward to trying it with other fruits, but this is, by far, my favorite Strawb & Cream yet. Thanks, Fizz!
I've been making this for a while and I love it. Lately I started adding 2% TFA Strawberry Ripe. It adds another layer of fruitiness that is very nice.
Unfortunately I have to steep anything with vbic in it for at least 4 weeks otherwise all I taste is black pepper, same with cap custard. Luckily it is usually worth the wait, especially so with this recipe.
I gave this a try, it's not bad ...but i wasn't impressed. TFA strawberry has a weird taste to it. Maybe with CAP sweet strawberry it'll be better(thanks /dsp)
One of my first DIY recipes. Let steep for 2 weeks before tasting and its indeed very good. To me, it tastes better than a lot of the "premium" strawberry/cream ejuices I've tried. This surprised me being that its such a simple mix.
Followed this to the exact recipe, two days natural steep and shake, and today speed steeped in hot water 4 times..... Just tastes like peppery butter with the TINIEST bit of strawberry?
If it got peppery you may have oxidized your nic with the heat. If it gets too hot that's what will happen, happened to me. After ruining 2 mixes trying to heat steep I now just naturally steep and have never had a peppery mix again.
Loved it for a while but the artificialness of the tpa sb eventually gets to me. I might just try a mixture of sb's next time to make the sb a bit more natural. As much as I love the taste of tpa sb (vs ripe) it has a weird syrupy or artificial chemically (hard to describe) bite to it that prevents me from using it as an adv. Unfortunate since I love the artificial sb flavor it provides since is kind of candy like to me vs ripe which is a little too ripe if that makes sense. Either way, still an amazing recipe for such a simple recipe. Takes skill to mix a few flavors and make te recipe amazing since it requires having just the right ratio and fizz is great at that. Either way, 5 stars from me and a favorite dispite not being able to vape it long.
Need some help guys
I made this a while ago with capella's sweet strawberry and van. bean ice cream
Not matter what i try in my TFV4 it tastes realy bad (bitter taste) in my subtank mini its good
Is it because of the type of tank or subohm vaping that my taste is terrible
(recipe is great btw but said that some posts ago :D)
I used Strawberry (Ripe), because I was not able to get the regular strawberry. This does not taste like strawberries in cream, BUT this tastes EXACTLY like some hard candy I ate as a child. Absolutely love it.
Way to go Fizz! I'm liking this even better now than when I first mixed. Friends are wanting to buy it from me it so I'm mixing batches of 150 ml at a time now. I think it's great right after shaking. Steeping may improve it a bit but I don't think it really needs it.
This was the first recipe I ever made some months ago when I started DIY'ing, but I wasn't all that impressed with it. For anyone starting out, this is a great ice breaker recipe to learn how to mix with. Unfortunately, again, I found it rather bland overall -- made 3 separate batches of it with different nics to test them out, and they all were very underwhelming. I was expecting something close to OHW's Milkman or at least a strawberry milkshake sort of taste, which could have been a failed expectation to begin with, but still... I won't be making this again. It just needs a huge boost in flavour, sweetness, etc.
Enjoyed it, it's very tasty but definitely too candy-like for an ADV. I was expecting more vanilla creaminess from this. Just a personal preference, though.
I made this recipe at 60/40 VG/PG and 4mg Nicotine. Smelt amazing instantly. Tasted like Pepper for first 4 days. On day 5 it started tasting exactly like a creamy strawberry milkshake. Great flavor. I'm sure a 4 week steep will do it wonders. I made a 120ml batch so will keep you posted as to how it matures over time. Thank you Fizzmustard!
Didn't have the TPA strawberry but substituted it with Shisha Strawberry. Not familiar with the original but this is fantastic juice.
No harshness at all. Not even a pinch.
Very few recipes I find that I will make a second batch up at 100 mls but this one will be tomorrow, for sure.
Thanks for the recipe.
Will still try it with the proper Strawberry flavouring when it arrives.
Made this recipe with Strawberry Ripe instead of Strawberry at same percentages but after 2 weeks of steeping strawberry totally faded away. So, I decrease VBIC to 4% and lived strawberry at the same percentage. Will see in a week how it will be.
Its been 4 weeks of steeping now. Peppery taste of VBIC is still hidden in the background, but it is a great e liquid and I have received many compliments from people that have sampled it. I will be making the diketo free version next time to compare.
Mixed it up, despite the slight peppery taste, it is very nice.. That said, surely we cannot call this SB and Cream, It is beyond that, and it is Strawberry Ice Cream.
Made this juice and for some reason flavour is muted to no flavour at all... fairly new to diy tho. Just can't seem to get simple recipes down to something that's vape worthy
is vapegasm a word? i think i just had one so i had to come back here and comment. i cant get over how delicious this is. I like this better than any retail strawberries and cream i've encountered.
I was really worried about making this recipe as i have vanilla bean ice cream from Capella's and i don't have TFA strawberry.Capella's vanilla bean ice cream is really peppery to me so 8% worried me as i thought it was going to be to over powering at 8%. I decided to use 8% cap vanilla bean ice cream, TFA ripe strawberry 4% and Capella's sweet strawberry at 2%. Put her in the crock-pot for 3 hours on warm then let it sit over night.Tried it the next day and I'm really impressed. Very glad i made this one.Thank you for sharing your great recipes Fizz
Think I'll join you MassiveCloudz, TFA VBIC is peppery, but I can't not put it down despite that. Think I'll follow you, as I had the same content of Strawberry as you, but TFA VBIC, will try Capella VBIC now, as I've tried this before, and I like the taste also.
Just a question guys. If I will be using a larger bottle like 50ml. Will the percentage of the ingredients change? I will be trying to make my own juicestarting today so I need your advice. Thanks!
For [Og] and [MassiveCloudz]: I am also one of the unfortunate people who taste pepper in TFA VBIC. It does however 'steep out' over time. Let the mix steep for a month and it will taste great. This is about the time it will turn a very dark yellow color.
DjChefMarco: See the blue wrench to the right, at the top, of the receipe? Just click on it and press Adapt....then fill in your desired ml size, in your case, 50ml. It will automatically adapt the mls of flavouring needed for that size. Just double check everything. Make sure your VG/PG is right, your nicotine, etc but no, the flavour will be the same at any size, providing you fill in the right nicotine you are using.
This is a nice and simple recipe. It doesn't have a lot of layers, so it requires only a few days of steeping. I enjoyed vaping it, it has a tangy fresh strawberry flavor that is not sweet. The VBIC adds a light creaminess and a faint vanilla bean. I would not say this is an ADV for me, but it is a quick recipe made with easy to find flavorings. I like my vapes sweeter and creamier with less tangy-ness. However, you can use this recipe as a starting point for other strawberry cream recipes.
Bit late to the mustard milk party. This is a great simple recipe. A well balanced ratio of flavours. Very reminiscent of OHW Milk Man. A week steep and it's good.
This one steeped for 8 weeks and works beautifully (10 ml batch). Gonna try to mix in 1 % Koolada to get the iced feeling. It's well balanced, and I propably try this as a base for further experiments.
I prepared 50ml yesterday but i dont know why is not convincing me. is this a shake and vape or need to steep ? any advertise if im wrong in something ?
Delicious recipe! I tend to add 1% Strawberry (ripe) and down strawberry to 5%. I find that to be just about perfect for what I was looking for! I would recommend anyone give it a try if your looking for a bit more strawberry.
First batch was Strawberry ripe and it came out delicious. My next batches were TPA Strawberry, and I hated the taste, artificial strawberry taste, like strawberry laces.. Tried koolada also, and I think it just interrupts the icecream taste. Suppose thats the beauty, we all have different preferences.
This is a good vape. I think I was trying to get too complex with some of my recipes and this simple one surprised me. Good with Blueberry too. This is making me rethink some of my other recipes. Throwing a lot of flavors together, thinking more is better, isn't always the best thing. Sometimes keep it vaping simple stupid works just fine.
I made 100ml of this earlier this evening. Give a few good shakes and I have to say that it tasted great straight off the bat! The Strawberry was very succulent and the vanilla was coming through extremely creamy. Really excited to see how it goes over the next week or so.
2 days on and this taste like Carnival - We out here doe (Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy and Ice Cream) but with strawberry in the place of the cotton candy, amazing!!! Please note i made this to 80/20 and i'm vaping it on a mini fat buddha rda with dual claptons (26/32 @2.5mm) at 75w.
I made 20ml of this, 10ml for testing and i keep another 10ml for steeping around 5 - 7days.. I change the recipe a bit, adding the whipped cream to make it more creamy.. 20ml i steep it for 15minutes using my steeping machine, and i gotta say it turned out perfectly.. i gave it to my friend and he said it tastes like strawberry milk.. im also mixing another batch using Dragon Fruit instead of Strawberry and it also tastes good.. If I add 0.5% or 1% of EM, would it mute the flavor?? After shake i still get that chemical taste from the VBIC (im using CAP VBIC i/o TPA)..But it should be good after few days.. I gotta say this is Strawberry Milk, not Strawberry Cream.. Anw, thanks for this recipe!!
between 2.and 3. week juice was good.but after 3.week juice muted.usually juices be better if you steep longer.but not this time ))
(followed same ratios and flavour-brand.steeped in dark and cool place.no heat,no extra.daily shake thats it )
I found that adding 2% (was meant to be 1% but I wasn't concentrating) of TFA Dragon Fruit bridged a tiny gap between the creams and the Strawberry and made the Strawberry pop fantastically!
Love this, I never liked it in 3mg but in 12mg 60pg 40vg it tastes amazing in my MTL Kayfun.
It's weird some flavours I don't like in 3g but like them in 12mg and vice versa.
This was my first go at DIY and it's great. I let it steep for a couple days, and it's easy to vape. Not overwhelmingly sweet. I'll definitely be making more of this!
Tried this with CAP sweet strawberry and TFA vanilla bean gelato. Shook it up, left it overnight, and woke up to a delicious juice! Gonna do a 10 mL test run using TFA sweet raspberry, just to see what that's like. Thanks for the recipe!
All I'm really getting out of this recipe is butter flavor. The VBIC smells like butter something fierce. I get that diacetyl does that and I'm vaping it at my own risk, but I was hoping for some strawberry in here as well. And maybe some creaminess rather than just butter. And I was an idiot and bought 4oz bottles of each flavoring. I have made a huge mistake.
This really does get better with age. Vaping a bottle made almost a month ago and the flavor is really good. I don't mind it with a shorter steep but this bottle the VBIC has really mellowed out and I get a good strawberry taste too.
Anyone tried with Strawberry Ripe at the same percentage or increase it? This will be my first DIY e juice, waiting next day my flavors coming. Appreciate any answer..Big Thanks
This is a bit rich for me. I'd give it about a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The "Ice Cream" tastes more like Cool Whip to me, without the mouth feel. The strawberry flavor definitely isn't like a fresh strawberry, but isn't very artificial to me. It's a bit like if you made a strawberry milk shake with strawberry syrup, ice milk, and cool whip. I ran out of the latest incarnation of my current favorite flavor today, and honestly getting a bit sick of vaping this with only about a ML in the tank. Gonna try a few variations on it to see if I can get more of what would be an ADV for me. I wouldn't mix it up very often at these percentages.
Mixed up a batch of Velvet Vinyardes at the same time I mixed this. Didn't really like it. But mixing the two in my tank is a lot better than either alone. Gives me hope that my ideas of how I should modify the recipe are on track before I have a chance to get anything mixed up.
@MtompLMT, and other mixers. This long comment. :D it's almost one month. But my juice just still have like chemical taste or what it's called, I think from VBIC from the smell.
The first until 3 puffs was great taste, but again the bad taste came out. Also, I notice my juice always make the cotton broke in the center. I can't figure out what was wrong, I'm sure the cotton wicked properly because I've used in other juice and everything's okay.
I think the problem not from the recipe because I can taste the great flavour. Just still trying. Actually this is 2nd mixing after strawberry cheesecake.
Maybe from my PG, VG, or flavors, or how I steep. So, any thought how you mix and steep will be very appreciated.
- MIX By weight with same percentage but change regular strawberry to strawberry Ripe.
- Steep in dark cabinet for 1 week, then taste regularly until 1 month. My room has Air Conditioner with 18-20 Celsius. (maybe this too cold for steeping. Please let me know if it's wrong)
- While trying to smell the VBIC, I think that's not good. Is it normal?
I don't know why I hate the flavor of Vanilla bean Ice cream by TFA. It seems that I am in the minority on that... Maybe it's the fake buttery flavor? It just tastes horrible and I can hardly taste anything else...
However, sub in capella's Vanilla bean Ice cream and boom! 10/10.
Easy, and delicious.
Kevin@, I guess, I'm in luck? I just made a little batch and discovered, that I don't have Vanilla Bean Ice Cream by TPA, but I have some by Capella, so I used it instead. It tastes pretty good, actually. You are right.
I quit smoking vaping Unicorn Milk for like 3 months straight. After that I was strawberried out. Haven't touched strawberry in over a 17 months. then I got into DIY and figured for $1 a bottle why not try it again. This juice is delicious. Simply and not overpowering. Great recipe.
Yea, this is/was my first mix i DIY, made it some minues ago, and already its pretty good. I'll take some of the pro advise in this forum for the next 100ml - Thanks for making this mate!
This is definitely not a shake-n-vape recipe. The vanilla bean ice cream is really overpowering My next batch will probably use only half of the VBIC.
Since so many people commented that they were looking for something to "pop" the strawberry, I added 0.5% dragon fruit, but again, without steeping, the strawberry flavor is completely lost.
@Geb - Thanks for the tip, but raspberry is one of those flavors that I really can't vape. I chose dragon fruit because i read it's known to bring out the strawberry (and I saw it in a couple diy videos as well).
@Jake - fair enough. try 1% dragon fruit and a 1 week steep. I know this is marketed as "shake and vape" but I find it needs to steep at least a week or two. Honestly, for me, I've never had a "shake and vape" juice. just about every juice needs a day breath and at least a couple of days to settle down and blend in.
strawberry ripe need at least 1night to pop out (in my exp).
i have tried mix strawberry ripe & strawberry tfa to vbic, and still left some "glazed" berry in my palate. i mixed to test how it like, and i may say this is simple recipe for simple beginner. for me, my most recipes usually use around 10s flavs lol
Why does all my diy e juice taste like shit along with this.i mixed it at the right percentage my vg is fine because I've tested it and i steeped it for 4 weeks and it just has a weak bad and non authentic flavour,i dont get it everyone is saying its amazing ibe wasted all this money on diy suplies and every mix is shit
@Miles - how long have you been vaping and how long have you been DIY mixing? First - IMO just about every juice needs at least a week or so to steep. I don't care if it says it's "shake and vape certified". All juices need a little time to come together.
Second - it could be your nicotine (if you use it). If you have a bad batch of nicotine every juice is going to taste like shit. It could also be you have bad PG. Are you also buying TPA and other "name brand" flavors? If you are using say VapeWild or house brand flavors, the taste may not be the same and your percentages may be off.
Third - if you have been vaping "premium" e-liquid for a while there may be an adjustment period to get used to DIY juice. Most DIY recipes have no or very little sucralose or other sweetners. "Premium" juices are chuck full of it. Think of it like eating McDonalds hamburgers for years and then you get a fresh, handmade gourmet burger. The fresh burger may taste "odd" at first because it doesn't have all the McDonalds "extras" and chemicals and preservatives etc.
For what's it's worth I've been mixing almost two months now. My only regret? - that I didn't start sooner. I've mixed up over a dozen recipes from ELR, Reddit or ATF. The vast majority of them have been really good. Several of them I've made a couple of bottles - they were that good. I found several ADV material juices and at least one or two "clones" that are better than the originals. Not every mix is going to suit you. I think if you try enough of them and use the exact same flavors and flavor companies, you are bound to mix up at least some juice that you like.
Last - you may have to tweak recipes a bit to get what you like. Take this Mustard Milk for example. I wasn't crazy about it mixed as described above. I took the strawberry down a hair to 5%, the VBIC down to 4% and added 4% of TPA sweet cream to get a flavor that worked better for me. You may have to do something similar. Also, post your question over on the DIY e juice subreddit - those guys over there are really knowledgeable and will give you some pointers and help you to find out what's wrong with your juice. Someone will ALWAYS get back to you and help out. There is a "new mixers" thread where you can post you issues.
Hope you get it figured out - when you do, you'll find DIY is way better and WAAAAY cheaper than "premium" juice.
do a search (right here on ELR) for unicorn milk. there is a clone recipe that is supposed to be the actual cuttwood recipe. still - I would say it's not really about clone recipes. there are dozens if not hundreds of really good recipes you could try. I like custard so I mixed up about 10 of them. some I liked more than others but I found 2 which were really really good. you should try recipes that look good to you - not clone recipes. some of the mixers here have put up recipes that are BETTER than the originals. there is nothing "premium" about perhaps 75% of the commercial juice market. it's only "premium" because some people are willing to pay $25 a bottle for it because they think they are getting something special. there is nothing special about it. those companies use the same exact ingredients that you see listed here on these recipes.
First recipe I made. I was very not happy with it at first. It needs a steep for at least 5 days. A LOT of these recipes on ELR say Shake & Vape, but they don't taste right off rip. This puts new mixers off, and discouraged. I am extremely surprised how much this has changed. I didn't think it was possible to have a really good DIY juice, compared to store bought. I'm getting a real nice buttery, creamy, strawberry. I gave it a 10 day steep. Will be making more! Made it at max VG. I think it would be much better with more PG. Using Hadaly RDA, Tiger Coil 26g, 1/8th in ID, 6 wraps, .38 ohm resistance.
@Miles - you can add whatever you like to your juice - that's the whole purpose of DIY; to get juice specific to your personal tastes. Most people use sweetener at .5% - 2% - try some and see how it goes. If you like it sweet you can play around with the ice cream element in the recipe too. instead of 8% VBIC try maybe 4% VBIC and 4% vanilla custard. Also read the comment above about steeping. Almost every juice will taste a little different and in most cases a little better after a one week steep. some juice can require up to two months of steeping for the best taste. also try another strawberry and cream recipe that uses different ingredients. it could be you simply don't like this recipe. try a another recipe and see how that goes. try something other than strawberry and cream altogether.
First tried it with tpa strawberry ripe and it was good but now that I got tpa strawberry it's way better. Did a warm bath and steeped it for two days, it's already very pleasant. Does anybody have a sweet spot for steeping?
First recipe I tried to make. Made just 10ml. Flatmate and I liked it so much that I made 30ml the following day, just so it could steep. Was curious to experience the taste after two weeks (had read that 1-2 weeks' steeping time is best), but it just... umm... "disappeared." So today, I made 50ml. Let's see whether this lasts long enough for us to test it at 2 weeks. To us, it's pleasant a few hours after making, and absolutely delicious after 3 days.
Great recipe - thank you so much. Really encouraging for beginners to be able to make something so tasty, yet simple.
Taste: Strawberry icecream - just that, just perfect. A very good juice, will go into my ADV rotation. I really like the throat hit I personally get from VBIC and the light peppery notes from it in combination with strawberry
Very good juice. Next time I will mix 100ml of it. Additionally I will play with the strawberry (make some batches with some other flavors) and see how it works.
I was looking forward to this! Added a little strawberry ripe expecting a rounded strawberry taste.... few days to steep as people have suggested but i feel like I'm vaping puke, i was expecting to fall in love with it :-( any ideas?
I added more strawberry and a touch of vanilla custard and it was heaven. The flavour has since died away a little but I am knew to all this so I'm sure I'll master it in time
I added 1% bavarian cream tfa and 1% sweetner and made vbic 7% instead of 8% and it was beautiful after 1 week.it's not shake and vape must steep for 1 week min for the pepper taste of vbic to fade .4.5 out of 5
I can't believe it took me two years to try this one out..
I followed the recipe to the letter and it is just perfect.
What amazes me and everyone else in here, is the simplicity.
Thanks @fizzmustard.
dont have strawberry normal and subbed with strawberry ripe, after 7days steeping its not sweet at all, add some sweetener or change it to strawberry normal?
I think it's funny how people say they substituted the vbic for this and the strawberry for that and this is how it turned out. Changing one ingredient is 50 percent of the recipe. Shell out the 2 bucks and get the right ingredienta
can i also use strawberry ripe or maybe one drop strawberry or all just to help bring out the strawberry you know with out compramising the cream side of this recipe
I took the v.b.i.c to 5%. Took the strawberry to 7%. Added 1% whipped cream and 1% Vienna cream, let it steep overnight in a cup of water in a crockpot with no lid on top, it is the start of the 3rd day of steeping and I’m loving it!
I give it a 3 star because I can't vape this one and know how it tastes. If I use TFA VBIC over 3% I get a peppery taste, and I don't have the Capella version. I have to mix it with TFA Vanilla Swirl, FA Vienna Cream and such to get a decent full body ice-cream.
I love this juice. I make a lot for myself and my family, they love it too. It's great as a snv, or with some steeping time. Absolutely one of the best I've found and been able to reproduce. Thanks for posting it!
I'm new to this craft and find this utterly fantastic. As good or better than anything I've bought. Took a risk and mixed up 120ml. Glad I trusted the ratings for this. It's simply great. Was good as a S&V. Is great two days later. Can't imagine it getting better... Thank you.
Great simple recipe. For my personal taste buds, I added an extra 1% Capella Strawberry ripe and 1% Capella supersweet and it's superb. I'll certainly be making another 100ml batch. Thanks for the recipe.
I mixed this just like the recipe. Let it step for 10 days.
Smells just like strawberry ice cream, tastes like the cardboard of the container where the missing ice cream was..
Weird thing is that I taste ice cream a few minutes after I’ve finished vaping..
I will let this thing step for a month and see what happens.
Must have been two weeks of step. Much improved flavor or I've just grown used to it.
The cardboard taste is gone. I still don't enjoy it.
I come to the conclusion I don't feel strawberries too much and dislike vanilla completely.
Still this recipe might be great for the ones who enjoy it. Good luck, and thank you for sharing it.
I mixed this with Strawberry ripe at 3%, Red Touch at 2% and Shisha Strawberry at 1% (for a touch of that syrupy Strawberry INW gives me). Added 4% FA Vanilla Gelato and 2% CAP VBIC plus Vanilla Extract, 1 drop/5 ml. Gave it 3 times warm water bath for about 1 hour each and now I'll let it steep for 8-10 days (first test in my NarDa dripper was a little harsh, Strawberries too prominent, needs to mellow somewhat). I really like the Vanilla Ice Cream from FA and can't wait to see what it can do for this recipe...
I dont know what im doing wrong or how people can call this a shake and vape when even after a week of steeping, 4 hours breathing on day 4, mine still tastes like dish washing liquid. Smells amazing but thats not the point. I also made a tfa pineapple and tfa mango with some sweet cream and got the same taste, not sure if its just the tfa fruits that i cant stand, but it tastes horrible.
I mixed this one on June 7th , smelled great but tasted like cardboard .
2 weeks of steeping and the cardboard taste is not as much.
I mixed another 2 recipes and it is the same.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong,is it ny setup?
I have the smok nord pen and the smok nord pod and fuchai due 3 mod with mad hatter RDTA. I tried from 20 watts to 50 watts.
And advice???
I’m one of the unlucky ones tasting the pepper on this vanilla. It’s been steeping for a week now... will leave it in my cabinet for a month and see if that changes anything though
2 stars from me. I have no idea how diy mixes were in general back then when this was posted, but all i tasted was a flat, sour/tart strawberry ice cream.
I added 3% tpa marshmallow and made this way better. Made the strawberry sweeter and the ice cream more rich but still feels to need some work.
I’ve been vaping this stuff for years, recently dropped the vbic by half, tastes a less custard like after steeping, i mix it 6% tpa strawberry 4% tpa vbic (sometimes add 1% FA cream fresh) @ 60VG
Goes to show a good eJuice DOES NOT have to have 8 or 9 different flavors blended. Most of the flavors we are already using are kinda like little “one shots and can be amazing alone at the right percentages. I work in lean manufacturing and I can tell you most if not ALL “premium E-juice” are looking for the cheapest way to make the most, with that said, do you really think juice companies are sourcing 9 different flavors from 6 different venders? Ummm, no...best deals are made in bulk as with everything else in this world. Absolutely CONCRETE proof that simple is absolutely the way to go! Very good work done here for the community and a valuable lesson taught via this amazingly simple and delicious recipe! Thank you for this!
Taste good between 5-8 days after mixing. Then the VBIC start to overun the Strawberry. After 1 month there is not much Strawberrytaste.
Solution: Lower the VBIC to 4-6%!
I have made this twice now. But it does need tweaking to conform to new mods and coils. I use a rba and it sometimes tastes like i was vaping a pencil. I been messing with it and have come close to getting it right. I cut the vbic down to 4% and added .5% tpa marshmallow and .3% tpa dairy milk. Changed to strawberry ripe this 3rd going to see how it goes. Hopefully it does the trick.
Az i will it has been steeping for two days. Got one with tpa strawberry and strawberry ripe the Strawberry ripe has .5% marshmallow and the strawberry tpa has 1% So ill see where it goes in a few days. Right now both smell unreal but we all know a good smell doesn’t always mean great vape lol
Thank you Fizzmustard, I'm still making this by the litre lol, this has been my ADV for 5-6 years, I tweak it here and there, sometimes I add FA red touch 1-2% and/or TPA strawberry ripe 2% and/or RFSC strawberry 1% & sometimes I add TPA CC graham crust 2% or INW biscuit 1% to make it cakey.
