made 1/15/17 tried 4/9/17
Very nice blend I get blueberries on inhale followed by a vanilla glaze then i get a powdery bread with a blueberry sweet syrup finish.
This is a powdered like donut that's has fresh blueberries and cream drizzled w/ a sweet blueberry syrup on top or should I say bottom since I taste the sweetest note at the end.
Man that's delicious ! I was helping someone on the forum and decided to write up some recipes and this is the best of the tests !
Yes I steeped it a good 3 months but I bet at 2-4 weeks this would be great!
I can make this... I actually have the ingredients amy***. A rare but awesome thing. But you know... I always adapt a few things. I use that bb extra wild combo alot... I tried WF BB Smoothie in place of extra... I was pleasantly pleased with the turn out.
I havent used Vienna Cream in ages.. I was looking at the big bottle of it last night scratching my head thinking... Now WTF am I gonna use you for... Lol
What's your take on Zeppola.. Im steeping a SA test. Morning Sun I found to be a bit light
Storm Crow so far I really like Zeppola it's another bready dessert flavor so many uses ! As far as Vienna Cream use it to sweeten your cream recipes just use it a lil lower like around the 0.5-1% mark and let it steep it taste so much better after 1 months steep it can come off nasty early on. I am glad someone liked WF BB smoothie I felt it came off way too chemically tried it a varying %s and not a whole lotta luck heavy cream was decent thou.
I second the vienna cream SC! I use around .25% even to wake up other creams and its great! Hey Amy this looks good but I got a question, I made a cronuts version with zeppola instead of frosted doughnut and I thought it was lighter like it had lost a little umph....Did you happen to compare by swapping just zeppola and have similar experiences? I tried zep solo and it immediately after mixing tasted like an elephant ear or the cinnamon powdered doughnuts in the variety pack....so good! Tasted the next morning maybe 10hrs later and it was bland like a little bit of dough but maybe kind of stale. Similar experiences with Cap Funnel cake too, almost identical actually .......BOTH GREAT flavors but im worried ill just get frustrated or flatten a bunch of juice trying to use em. Guess I worry too much but I havent had as much time to mix lately so I wanna make em count lol.
Hollywood VApes I didn't have that issue w/ finding it weak but I understand what you mean AFA Funnel Cake goes it did fade w/ time. However I didn't try this one until 3 months later accidentallly not intentionally and the Zeppola was spectacular ! I totally get you not wanting to waste time if you have very little of it to mix. Maybe add it to a list for when u have time to work on it. I haven't subbed Zeppola for my original Cronut recipe that sounds nice. This one only came about Bc I was helping someone on the forum.I have no idea what the retail version taste like so it isn't intended on being a clone.
Love this one Amy! That doughnut profile is beautiful! Blueberry is one of my favorites and you absolutely nailed this one. Spot on! Zeppola has become one of my favorite flavors to play with!
mixed straw donut and cronuts juices today so im gonna go for a straw cronut recipe.....Still no luck with zappola, fades all my mixes I put it with and they barely taste strong after a week or so. I had better exp with dx doughnut, now FW has a glazed doughnut which im not sure I like yet ....but the new FW white cake is WOW so far!
Hi Amy! This recipe looks really good! I was wondering if I could replace those blueberries with Cap Blueberry or FW Blueberry? And maybe the INA Biscuit with FA Cookie (Biscotto)? What do you think?
Sorry just seen this , I'd probably use Cap Blueberry around 5-6% and yes you can sub cookie FA in for INW biscuit. or if your wanting to use both I'd try them at 0.5% each just bc they can be strong
Colonel.... I would get BB Extra there is just something about the combo of it and BB wild that is magic ( haha ) ya know what I mean. BB Jam is purdy good just not guna cut the mustard for this one to me. Now the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder right...so you may love BB jam wayy more than BB Extra and if that is the case I say go for it adapt a way ! However you go about it I hope it's something delish ! Let me know how it goes.
@Amy, have you tried the TFA Berry cereal? I am in love with it at 3% and blueberry extra 3%, my fav blueberry combo so far. I bought bb jam but haven't even tried it yet because it love this combo so much.
