I'll have to mix this one this weekend. My current favorite store-bought liquid is a Kix cereal in sweet milk. This looks like it might work as a replacement since that one is so hard to get.
It's called Xik v2 by Basic. It's essentially a store's private label. They have other flavors as well. They don't have a web store front so I have to call the shop directly and order over the phone. A few times when I've called they were out so I'm looking to try it myself. I was going through my flavorings the other day and managed to smell both the Cereal 27 and Acetyl Pyrazine, and both had the aroma I was looking for. I'm thinking that one or both in some combination would give me the flavor I'm looking for and this recipe is a great place to start.
This mix smells great! It doesn't taste as good as it smells under high wattage (100+). The malty, grainy notes tend to get washed out by the base, but steeping may make it more resilient. For now, it tastes great at 30-40 watts.
Hey, I mixed this up. I subbed TFA Sweet Cream for the CAP Sweet Cream 1:1, reason being, all my cereal milk recipes I have the same base - Cream Fresh/Meringue/TFA Sweet Cream combo. First time I used Cereal 27 I thought it smelled like Kix, just never got around to making it, but researching a different recipe on DiY_eJuice I found this recipe, so I made this instead (with the change I mentioned). It's bang on- it smells like Kix, tastes like Kix....IT IS KIX!!! So many recipes you wonder what it is your tasting, no doubt about this one. IMO, this does not need AP & I'm glad you didn't add it either. Thank you for this recipe!!
