Notes
After a very long time in the making, a TAKE on Phillip Rockes famous Looper.

I had 2 rules in mind for this recipe..
1. Get as close to the flavour profile of Looper.
2. Create the mix as a shake and vape.. No stupid long steep time.. 4 weeks etc.

Recommended 70/30. 0.50Ohm Duel Clapton coils. 40-50w, low airflow. I found the best flavour from the Aromamizer RDTA. Tastes good straight away but better after a couple of days. No harsh perfume taste, very smooth nice vape. Enjoy!!

Just placed an order for the flavors that I was missing to try the new recipe. I will mix this as soon as they land. Will keep you posted.

Mixed the bad boy this evening, Smells like you definitely got those missing notes from the previous recipe. I will wait a couple of days before trying it and will report.

Thanks again John.

This looks interesting... most recipes use TPA fruit circles and I think that TPA just got that one wrong. It tastes like lemon pledge at almost any amount. So to see that not present here makes me hopful. Any pledge or lemon-chemical notes to this recipe?

Juicy lemon and even the lemon meringue pie make sense, but I'm cocking and eyebrow at the lemon Sicily... Motivation?

Could you maybe elaborate a little on function of butter cream? Also the somewhat high percentage of AP considering the presence of biscuit?

Not criticising as I haven't made it, just looking for some history on your journey and processes that led you to this realization. Thank you in advance

Mixed this up yesterday and you really have something amazing here! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Hi there, I appreciate your input. I added lemon Sicily to reinforce the citrus notes, I found that it gives the lemon a more rounded note, a kind of fresh taste/aroma without adding any harshness or pledgeyness. lol. As for the AP, I always found that the original Looper has a fair amount present, but this higher amount could very well be my own personal preference. Also I 100% believe that fruit circles is one of the worst concentrates made! SOOO chemically tasting. As for the buttercream, this I found to be an incredibly usefull addative, it adds a very hard to replicate mouthfeel to the recipe, with a kind of milky sweetness. Especially being exhaled thru the nose, (one of my favourite things about Looper) All in all, I wanted a similar vape to Looper, with no steep time!... The bane of every mixer. There is a downside tho, the recipe starts to loose its flavour after a few weeks.

@john-king: Thanks for the information. I was thinking about trying FW fruit rings, but I think that would also be a waste of time. I've actually pondered picking the best offerings of orange, lemon, cherry, raspberry, apple, blueberry and lime then making my own froot loops concentrate with them. I just don't think I'd be up for the challenge.

Holy fuck, this is a milestone for me because for the first time in over 3 years of mixing, I find a recipe that I want to try (yours, John) with 13 different flavourings required, and I actually have them ALL. I've had to pass on some recipes that have 3 or 4 ingredients because I was missing something LOL, so to see this one and then discover I can actually make it, tells me my stash is getting where I need it to be. I'm mixing this today, like in a few minutes when my lazy ass gets off the couch. Looking forward to it too, thanks John.

Hi John!
I did try your original Looper 80%, and its been steeping for the better of 2 months, and has dad a day open. It is quite ok now. Vapapble and enjoy the flavour profile. The perfumeiness does tend to take away a bit. Im inclined to mix this recipe also. I do not have butter cream. Do you think a small % of Golden butter would cut it ? But I hear Golden butter requires a long steep. Any other alternative ? Thanks for you effort and for sharing!

Hi John
I don't have Italian Lemon Sicily (CAP) but do have Lemon Sicily (FA). Can this be used as a replacement and at what percentage?
Thanks

Well i tried this after about 12 hours after mixing and to me it tastes like lemon meringue pie sorta...im not getting much creams yet so maybe it does need a steep. Using the bonza rda .15Ω at 83w. I wont rate this just yet im going to see how it ages.

@PrettyClouds...what particular notes are you exactly thinking of? Granted this mix is only a day old and does taste better than it did as a shake n vape. Im getting the grain finally with the AP but still having problems getting any creams as of yet. Im doing a warm water bath overnight to see any changes.

I’ll be super honest, after trying this recipe a couple of times, I went back to John’s previous Looper 80% recipe which is still to date my adv. The main problem I had with this recipe is that it never tastes the same. And very quicky it turns to something that you will throw away. I think the amount of AP in this recipe triggers an interesting reaction for a couple of days, but then it will turn to something completely different. Forget about big batches with this one. Thanks for the efforts though John. Looper’s mystery is still to be cracked...
