Biko is a Filipino rice cake made of sticky rice, coconut cream, coconut milk, and brown sugar. Some recipes include butter; which is always a welcomed addition in the recipe, but not required. This is a traditional Filipino sweet and sticky rice cake that was often eaten during the holidays or during parties when I was small.
For this recipe, I wanted to capture this rich, delicious, and very much loved dessert my mother would make for us.
It is very tasty right away but 1 week steep would be optimal.
♥️ I hope you enjoy it ♥️

★Q & A ( 9/20/2017 )
• Question: Is this very sweet?
• Answer: Yes. On a sweetness scale: 1 (not sweet) - 5 (very sweet). I would rank it a 4.5.
Note*
If you do not prefer added sweeteners like Super Sweet - feel free to substitute with Meringue. Or feel free to leave the sweetener out. It is nice & sweet on its own.

• Question: Can I mix at a higher VG ratio?
• Answer: Sure thing. 70/30, 80/20, whichever you prefer.
Leilani, I have never had Biko, but your recipe makes me WANT to. I'm missing what I think are two of the non-sub'able flavors, so now I must go shopping at EcigExpress.
Thank you SessionsDrummer! I seldom find a person who doesn't like traditional Biko, Filipino or other. You should definitely have the real thing. I appreciate you using your hard earned money to buy flavors to make this recipe. - Much Respect & I hope you enjoy it.
You're welcome Trane. When I first started DIY I used other mixer's notes in combination with my own. However now I know my taste differ on some - so I gotta go back, re-Single Flavor test on some previous ones. Tons more to do!
Oh! Thank you Robin! I'm so glad you like it! I will make a good pancit lol! Pancit E-Juice = hard core Filipino love. But I have other Filipino desserts in the works you may like!
OK, finally, after ordering the missing flavors, finally getting to the mixing and steeping, I get to try this one. Wasn't sure what to think, as I've never tried sweet rice anything (at least in a vape). I found this to be a shockingly GREAT vape !!!! Why shocking ?? Not sure, maybe I didn't expect as much as I got out of this. I think it's safe to say it is FAR more than the sum of the parts. Very interesting vape. Smooth, creamy, some sweet, but not overpowering in any way, and there is a VERY interesting shift from the inhale to the exhale that I can't put my finger on, .... yet. I came into this with an open mind, yet thinking, "Who vapes a sweet rice vape" ?? Well, THIS guy does now. Great mix Leilani.
OH! OH! Thank goodness! I'm so happy you like it SessionDrummer! I really got nervous thinking you and others went out of the way to buy flavors to make my recipe. I'm humbled - truly. Thank you so much for your critique and for keeping an open mind on the sweet rice. Much 💖
This is a great profile and idea for recipe, and the result is yummy! I don't have FLV coconut, so I just added 2% INW Coconut. I will be lowering the sweet rice next time I make it because I get a little bitterness on some puffs but that's just me probably.
Hi Kotsos! Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you like it. If you are getting some bitterness from the sweet rice, that is good to know. I will take note of it for future recipes. Again - thank you kindly for trying my recipe.
A big hug to you and thank you for your inspiration on MixenVixen and everywhere I see you.
I'll make my version of this (I don't like rise 😒 ) and I will sub some to what I think could be a better choice - at least for me :-)
Anyway ... Don't forget to Dance 🕺
This juice i lovely.
I was curios and bought the rice :-) and I'm happy i did that. Onle sub was Condensed Milk which I subbed with a mix of Cream (Milky Undertone) (PG) (OOO) and Fresh Milk (VTA).
Once again .. thank you and remember, Don't forget to Dance 🕺
