Mixing this tonight 10/2. I made a test mix 5 days ago with just aged bourbon cream and blackberry, which was so good I wanted to make a more complex recipe based on it.
SnV: - A nice Blackberry. Bright and tangy, but needs steeping, kind of disjointed.
3 Days: - Coming together, Bourbon Cream poking it's head out, Blackberry is ripening, getting warmer, sweeter. Nuances from supporting flavors swirling around the edges. This is going to be really good when steeped.
1 Week: Not much of a change, but better than 3 days
2 Weeks: The Caramel, Brown Sugar and Creams are starting to really come out. Its a totally new flavor profile. The bourbon is sneaking in, too. Blackberry and supporting fruits are meshing together to form a deep Blackberry effect, right out front.
5 weeks: very good now that it's steeped. The bourbon is a little light, but very tasty all around. I just ordered Bourbon RFSC, going to add a little to the next batch.
7/19/18: upped Caramel a nudge to 1.65g just the last few drops in the bottle before reordering. 1 month Update: Caramel stays up! Adjusted recipe to reflect 1.65g in ~120ml
