Notes
This is my first EXCELLENT recipe. The RY4 Double has a very light vanilla, caramel, tobacco blend that is perfect. The Vanilla Swirl is an amazing custard that reminds me of homemade vanilla ice cream. The sweet cream is a sweet custards addition that adds a slight "milky" flavor. This is not a candy sweet but a desert sweet. The sweetness isn't over bearing. The smell is amazing and fills the room. This has become one of my favorites!

After mixing: spun the flavor with a frother for about 1 minute. Placed in very warm water for 20 min two times. Leave the cap off while it sits in warm water to get the strong perfume out.

Thanks, This has been my ADV for the past 3 weeks. People around me like the smell and other vapers like the taste.
#2 by Bubblegumskunk, Oct 9. 2015, 23:18
Had my local shop whip this up for me till my next batch of flavors come in, very nice adv. Quite surprised at the complexity of the flavor given its basically a straight vanilla. Had a shot of sweet pineapple added to a bottle, un-freakin-believable! definitely give that a try if you get the chance. Nice job on the recipe sir!
#3 by lesharodin, Nov 1. 2015, 10:59
Very nice and tasty!
Thank you
#4 by SthrnMixer, Nov 19. 2015, 19:32
I like this! And in my opinion it is just BEGGING for some type of chocolate. I will work on that aspect and if it's good I'll post the recipe and credit your blend. Thanks for the share.
#5 by tonylee57, Jan 3. 2016, 17:31
Really smooth recipe thanks for sharing

Very good. Nice and simple.
#8 by synergyblends, Jan 30. 2016, 01:18
sweet creamy deliciousness with slight tobacco after taste A+ man
#9 by x47vapes, Feb 12. 2016, 16:26
Thanks for simple but great recipe. Good creamy vape after 3 days but Wow after 7 days.
#10 by Warui, Feb 19. 2016, 16:30
can i swap the sweet cream to fresh cream? Or alternative for sweet cream?
#11 by yiana, Feb 19. 2016, 19:14
Warui, I would try it, the vanilla swirl is pretty sweet.
#12 by noshadowkick, Feb 24. 2016, 23:19
Could Vanilla Custard be subbed for Vanilla Swirl? I'm very new to the DIY game and a good RY4 creamy vape is at the top of my list of to-do's.
#13 by Dio, Feb 25. 2016, 20:43
Perfect juice... So creamy and light tobacco taste!!!
Thanks a lot for sharing @James
#14 by yiana, Feb 28. 2016, 02:03
noshadowkick, I was actually going to try it with vanilla custatd next.
#15 by noshadowkick, Mar 7. 2016, 22:42
I ended up holding off until I got Vanilla Swirl in. Have 50ml in the steep drawer, can't wait to try it. yiana, if it tastes good with custard let us know!

Very nice recipe!
#18 by Smoky , Mar 23. 2016, 16:45
Made it 4 days ago, really nice vape. Gonna make more of it.
#19 by Boogenshizzle, Mar 27. 2016, 18:15
Switching fresh for sweet and vienna for the swirl around 2.5%
#20 by Diamondfgh, Apr 10. 2016, 17:17
Just made it. Reminds me of cuttwood boss reserve, but this is better. I think after few days it will be even better. Delicious, thank you.
#21 by yiana, Apr 10. 2016, 18:32
I liked it both ways with the vanilla swirl and then also subbed with cap vanilla custard v1.
#22 by juarezdude, Apr 18. 2016, 15:23
A nice (but not excellent) vape. The RY4 double flavour recedes after a few days and the milky/creamy notes come through. Not really an ADV for me, as I think it needs a few other flavour notes to impress...
#23 by Laderon, Apr 19. 2016, 20:22
I just made a batch of this today after waiting for the flavors and it is damn good. The funny thing is that I have been driving myself crazy trying to figure out an RY4 recipe from my local shop and this is really close. I will be adding this to my rotation for sure. Thanks for a great vape.
#24 by JMFI, Apr 22. 2016, 12:02
Just GREAT, perfect recipe IMO.
#25 by W0WZA, Apr 24. 2016, 10:31
Is that breathing-thing necessary?
#26 by Smoky , Apr 24. 2016, 11:37
I let it with a cap open for 1 hour right after mixing and shaking. It's enough.
#27 by N, May 4. 2016, 18:42
i waiting that flavors from usa :)

#31 by EGeneus, May 17. 2016, 19:59
Exellent deep flavour! Highly recommend!
#32 by Randall_H, May 22. 2016, 10:47
I tried this recipe in February thinking it might be okay... but I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. It quickly became my primary vape. I make it 12mg/ml, 65VG/35PG with the same flavor percentages. Steeped at least a month is best. I keep four 120ml bottles of this steeping in rotation now. And I love how it never dirties up my coils or wicks. I just keep the same RDA of this going and going and going... Thanks for this @James!
#33 by BKKVape, May 27. 2016, 17:04
Simple and delicious. Mixed it about a half hour ago, vaped it and its delicous! Cant wait to try it after a few weeks. thanks
#34 by DeXoteric, May 31. 2016, 17:08
This is so good. I mixed this over a month ago and I tried it today for the first time. Such a good vape. Thanks for sharing! :D
#35 by artutot, Jun 3. 2016, 09:48
Thank You so much for a great tasting recipe and simple
#36 by noshadowkick, Jun 9. 2016, 20:48
This was one of my first DIYs and I just discovered a dusty 50ml bottle hiding in the back of my steep drawer. Really good after several months of steeping. Typically RY4D kills my throat but it's not terrible in this, probably because of all the cream. Very yummy, but I still get a little tickle. I'm going to try this with FA's RY4 and see where that gets me. Thanks for the great recipe!
#37 by FrenchVaper, Jun 15. 2016, 10:59
Very good, very efficient after one week steep
Thanks for the recipe !
Reminds me of Janty RY4 i vaped 6/7 years ago !
Very good surprise :)
#38 by BrianTheLion, Jun 28. 2016, 22:23
Real good, this is my ADV at the moment :)
#39 by altneurose, Jul 3. 2016, 12:59
I've had trouble liking RY4 types, but this is good. TPA Sweet cream is a bit high so it takes a lot of time to diminish the soapiness, but after that it's quite nice. I will take this to field testing, ie. fill up a tank the next time I'm going out for a beer.
#40 by Daour, Jul 12. 2016, 21:52
I have RY4 not double, will it work?
#41 by Tarek Raslan, Jul 13. 2016, 10:03
I made 125 ML from the recipe now and will come back after few weeks with the result
#42 by apollo, Jul 28. 2016, 06:37
this taste like white rabbit toffee flavor candy
#43 by D.M.Turner, Jul 30. 2016, 08:53
Absolutely love love love this sauce dude. Five stars and one of my favorite ADVs. Thanks for this.
#44 by BoyHowdy, Aug 8. 2016, 21:45
Great simple mix , thanks for the share!
#45 by LORD, Aug 12. 2016, 12:45
Very good mix. Been looking for a good diy RY-4 for ages. Still looking for that Janty Classic nutty undertone....I added 2% Lorran Oils Pecan, adds more body and brings the sweet cream down a bit, which isn't a bad thing.
#46 by nasar, Aug 21. 2016, 08:38
thanks james , good ejuice n love it ..
#47 by Nik420, Aug 28. 2016, 22:28
TYVM this has instantly became one of my ADV. The cleanest juice I have tried, cotton looks fresh for days ( after it stays overnight in RDA, color turns nearly red but that clears away quickly). Though I must admit I practically don't taste any flavor in this juice. But that is fine since it is so hard for me to find liquid that I am ok with. Can't stand so many things, strawberry flavors, most of the fruity stuff, etc. This one actually performs a vital role, it helps me to avoid becoming quickly annoyed by my other ADV DIY juices.
#48 by zzzip, Oct 6. 2016, 17:18
The best DIY juice i ever mixed. Thank you.
#49 by Grimmshado, Oct 7. 2016, 09:56
This is the first recipe i found to be truly balanced. Great work!
#50 by Fallacious Fog , Oct 9. 2016, 05:11
Just mixed up 6x65mls of this stuff. Had to return to comments section to give a shout out to the creator. Super tasty right away been 24 hours really still tastes amazing. So simple. So good. Will be making this again for sure.
#51 by norwegianvaper, Oct 11. 2016, 14:17
Would four weeks of steeping do it? I newer tried any warm bathor something. And for how long do I leave the cap off to get rid of perfume/chemical taste?
#52 by Lakelover64, Oct 12. 2016, 14:02
This is really good, loving the RY4 Combination with the custard!
#53 by S's, Oct 14. 2016, 01:50
how long is the steep guys ?!
#54 by Lakelover64, Oct 14. 2016, 02:12
It was good after a week
#55 by DutchPunch, Oct 19. 2016, 20:13
I'm quite new to DIY and this is the best recipe so far. No breathing or frother for me, because I use a higher nic level and I really don't like spicy nicotine (I learned this the hard/harsh way) ;-) I learned that when it comes to steeping; patience is the best way to go! And this recipe is fantastic after 2 weeks, I even finally get the caramel note :D And I also really like that this is a fairly simple recipe (easy % and only a few ingredients) I hope I can find more recipes like this here. And the description from the creator is really accurate. Thank you for sharing!
#56 by djkokalis, Oct 24. 2016, 20:39
Love it!
#57 by Adil, Oct 25. 2016, 12:39
Can I replace sweet cream with Whipped cream (TFA) and at what percentage?
#58 by Kris-p flavour, Oct 31. 2016, 11:36
Nicely balanced, good job on the anount of RY4 Double, it's just where it's supposed to be. I might add some INW Shisha Vanilla to it in the future. Finally a satisfying custard vape that isn't based on the VC v1.
#59 by DrChud, Nov 6. 2016, 18:15
This recipe is excellent, easily the best I've tried so far and a definite ADV. Brilliant job :)
#60 by Alex, Nov 9. 2016, 23:09
Absolutely gorgeous vape, one of my favourites! Works in the Smok Cloud Beast and the Goon dripper. Thanks for sharing.
#61 by Yoonsetan, Nov 10. 2016, 13:06
I try to join this recipe today. hopefully good.
#62 by DDrama, Nov 15. 2016, 03:02
awesome light creamy tobacco vape!
I also think this would be a good base flavor for adding other tobacco notes.
I think im going to try to add a little Inawera cavendish and steep it with a charred oak chip in the bottle for a month or so.
#63 by Yoonsetan, Nov 15. 2016, 14:40
Guys..Why not as good as liquid being marketed? No way to be nice?
#64 by DrChud, Nov 15. 2016, 15:03
In my opinion this one is as good or better than any ry4 blend I've tried
#65 by The_Flavour_Specialist, Nov 16. 2016, 03:43
Just mixed this recipe up in a 30 ml letting it steep for a while. I'll report back when I try it. Figures since I saw so many positive comments id give it a whirl. My fear at the moment is that the sweet cream might ruin it......but the positive comments tell me otherwise.
#66 by The_Flavour_Specialist, Nov 16. 2016, 03:57
Not gunna lie I'm thoroughly impressed the sweet cream isn't as powerful as I thought it might come out in this! Great job!
#67 by Yoonsetan, Nov 16. 2016, 04:07
Guys, need additional EM or Sweetener?
#68 by DDrama, Nov 19. 2016, 20:44
I just tried this again after it steeped for about a week. AMAZING!
Best recipe Ive tried on here. It really comes together as a great smooth, creamy, sweet vanilla vape with a tiny hint of carmel and tobacco from the ry4d. At first its good as a shake and vape but has that unmatured ry4 off taste. After a week....wow!
yoonsetan.... Its perfectly sweet for me as is.
I may make another version with a small amount of western tobacco for a little extra bacco taste but this is 5 star all the way!
#69 by Yoonsetan, Nov 20. 2016, 09:20
Thank you drama to share opinions..
#70 by Bane213, Nov 21. 2016, 16:30
Not to bad as is. I added some toasted almond and coconut extra. Nice relaxing late night vape. Kentucky Bourbon would go well in this as well.
#71 by d3athblu3, Nov 23. 2016, 07:58
Was good as a shake and vape, I only made a small 10Ml batch at first since im not a tobacco guy. Well i did smoke but i never liked the idea of tobacco flavored juice. I only had the ry4 double from the 12 pack.

This reminds me of a black and mild. good flavor all around. ill definitely be saving this one
#72 by DDrama, Nov 23. 2016, 13:50
You got to try it after a week or two steep... the ry4 really needs a little time to develop the carmel notes.

I noticed the similarity between this and HV vanilla sky which uses the same flavors but adds a chocolate, coconut, and a small bit of western..... so i had 240ml of this made up and decided to add only 16 drops of western.... changed the whole flavor profile. Its good but I should of left it alone. Now i got 4 60ml bottles of it and wished I would of stuck to original recipe lol.
#73 by Andy Miller, Nov 26. 2016, 09:44
Very good vape. I've never cared much for RY4 but I was getting a bit tired of Strawberry recipes. This reminds me of that creme brulee flavor that comes with the Juul cig-a-like. Mine steeped for about 2 1/2 months. Thank you for sharing this.
#74 by DDrama, Nov 27. 2016, 03:39
just mixed up another 240ml ....this time im not molesting the recipe lol.
#75 by baraah, Nov 27. 2016, 15:29
this is one of my Favorite recipe
till I made little adjustment

** add 2% Cardamom (FA)
#76 by Stanley, Dec 2. 2016, 02:07
This is just spectacular. Thank you.
#77 by DanceOfDoom, Dec 11. 2016, 12:04
This is an excellent recipe. When I first vaped, the taste was unbearable. But then I got a taste of great caramel. I will make 200 ml now.
#78 by incredible_hulk, Dec 14. 2016, 14:35
dripping this on a goon 24 0.27 ohm ni80 on a kennedy mech..unbloody believable..my new adv...nice sweet with tobacco ending
#79 by xnimry, Dec 16. 2016, 12:05
I've just done shaked and vape .... i replaced sweet cream (TPA) with Sweet Cream (CAP)... its very nice deep vape, however, I felt its a bit sweeter than it should. not sure if its because Sweet Cream (CAP) or maybe i should leave it to steep for a week.

all in all its a very nice vape.
#80 by incredible_hulk, Dec 16. 2016, 14:46
xnimry i think its a combination of cap sweet cream and shake and vape. sweetness drops after a week and it becomes very creamy and thick mouthfeel
#81 by Abdul Hannan, Dec 22. 2016, 23:26
I used RY4 instead RY4 double, and tried after 18 days, totally love it.
#82 by bjotch, Dec 26. 2016, 20:43
Amazing!Thanks man!
#83 by yiana, Dec 27. 2016, 04:31
I've been vaping this for a year. I like vanilla custard with it instead of vanilla swirl, but this is what I vape 80% of the time. It is my favorite. Thank you again for such a great recipe.
#84 by Shaun, Jan 2. 2017, 11:21
Ry4 DBL tastes muted after 2weeks
#85 by pmvART, Jan 15. 2017, 00:15
I made this up 12/27. I'm 18 days into a steep. The flavor is really good, although I have to agree with Shaun that it is a bit muted at this point. I'm guessing maybe after more than a month this juice will pop. All in all it's pretty good. Thanks for sharing.
#86 by partalos, Jan 17. 2017, 13:40
i vape it after 2 months . Perfect strong taste ! Thank you James!
#87 by Geb, Jan 17. 2017, 23:49
Hi. I got some DIY Flavorshack Holy Holy Grail RY4 flavoring. Can I sub it for the TPA RY4?
#88 by Puffaway, Jan 26. 2017, 01:25
I made this at 12mg 60pg/40vg. It is delicious after just a 3 hour steep. Not too sweet and very moreish. I imagine I shall make a lot more even if if it doesn't get any better than it is now! Thanks!
#89 by Linger, Jan 26. 2017, 03:55
Just tried this after a month steep. Excellent vape. Nicely done.
#90 by Op3nOrd3r, Feb 4. 2017, 18:59
Hello and thank you very much for the recipe i have not tried it yet but can i ask if the vanilla swirl can be substituted with TFA Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla or FA TFA Bourbon Vanilla. Thanks
#91 by Randall_H, Feb 4. 2017, 19:45
TFA Vanilla Swirl is like a Vanilla Ice Cream, not a straight vanilla flavor.
#92 by smok, Feb 9. 2017, 19:56
any one try with dx sweet cream ??? do i need to increase %
#93 by natbone, Feb 18. 2017, 15:26
I mixed up 20ml of this two months ago. I tasted it a couple of times and forgot about it. This morning I thought I wanted to vape a tobacco flavor all day, which I haven't done in 3 months. I pulled this out and it smelled great. At first, I was a bit put off by the "tobacco" flavor, but kept at it. It's 8 hours later and this juice is just fantastic. The flavoring is layered, mouth feel is full and smooth, and it's just a bit sweet. It's like a natural sweet, not one forced into a recipe.

Well done.
#94 by Ryno, Feb 24. 2017, 00:42
I don't think the tobacco goes well for me personally in this one.
#95 by boomboy, Feb 24. 2017, 21:03
I tried DIY for the 1st time today... lost my virginity to this recipe.
Hope it lives up to the comments :D ... will report back soon.
#96 by Shaun, Feb 24. 2017, 21:05
What I found is that the tobacco goes away after a month. Then it's sweet. Then after 2months the tobacco is dominant and beautiful. Not overpowering.
#97 by string78, Feb 25. 2017, 14:19
Is it dangerous to not let the perfume out? New to DIY here and those warnings really bother me. TIA!

@James

THANKS for this recipe! I'm liking it as SHAKE N VAPE. I'm sure this will only get better with steeping.

I used Vanilla Custard v2 (CAP) cos I don't have VS.
#98 by Doe Zee, Feb 28. 2017, 14:58
Would love to try this but ry4 double gunks my cotton in like 3ml ... lol how do you all put up with that so much ??! XD looks greath though

#101 by Geb, Feb 28. 2017, 16:01
@String78 - How is this recipe with Capella custard rather than vanilla swirl? Love love love custard - was thinking about trying it that way.
#102 by Bama, Mar 1. 2017, 01:58
Mixed this up! Good job I like it! It's only been steeping 5 days but is very good already...thanks!
#103 by string78, Mar 1. 2017, 03:20
@Geb I haven't really tried the original. I just used VCv2 (cap) cos I don't have VS and it's good. Not sure how it compares to the original recipe tho.
#104 by Randall_H, Mar 1. 2017, 05:32
Using CAP Vanilla Custard in this would make it a whole different product. Probably good but a significant difference.
#105 by Shaun, Mar 7. 2017, 22:24
Well Pls share it % with what flavor u added. Would love to try
#106 by Monotom, Mar 8. 2017, 22:35
Rated 5 stars. Would have rated 4 until I came back to see what's in it again: "wait, what, this is THREE ingredients??"

I think that makes a big difference and I'll add extra stars for any Zen Chef who comes up with something as pleasant as this that has a recipe that reads like a haiku.

Coming to think of it, the fact that it's not "brim full" likely adds to the ADV effect I've had with this; sure, it could be richer and/or more specific (non-native EN here so bear with me please), but as with heavily compressed music, richness can quickly become tiresome, and that's when I normally want to switch back to something with a little more headroom like this.
#107 by ali, Mar 11. 2017, 21:23
If I had to choose ONE recipe for the rest of my life, this would be it.
Everything I love is in this recipe, sweetness, tobacco bitterness, a little cream and vanilla with caramel.
Thank you!
#108 by leadpipe58, Mar 11. 2017, 22:52
I am trying for a good cigar mix.I think this will make a good base.I will let you all know.

@leadpipe58 Pls share. I'm also hunting a pipe recipe
#110 by Shaun, Mar 12. 2017, 19:40
Separate or all added to custard king at same time?
#111 by Shaun, Mar 13. 2017, 07:49
Thank u. I'm on it
#112 by James, Mar 13. 2017, 19:21
Wow. Thank you for all of the comments. I don't really monitor this account. This is still one of my main "Go To" recipes. I have pretty much mastered several "And Cream" recipes, such as Peaches, Blueberry, Strawberry, etc. I have done some side projects that were terrible (anything to do with doughnuts). Anyway - Thanks for the comments and the kind words :) I may check back again in another year. hahahaha.
#113 by Elites, Mar 13. 2017, 19:40
@James please check your post quite often so that you will know how many of us really like and appropriate your work. Thanks again. Could you please share your some of the other recipes please. Thanks
#114 by Randall_H, Mar 14. 2017, 00:22
@James- Great to see you're still alive, anyway. This has been my main vape for a year now. Great stuff. Thanks.
#115 by Aleman, Mar 28. 2017, 03:43
This goes to show that a great recipe doesn't have to have 8 different flavors in it to shine. I've been working all kinds of RY4 Double recipes and haven't tried the sweet cream yet in one until this one here. It works really well. Thanks man.
#116 by YEK1, Apr 3. 2017, 01:22
@james Can I use vanilla custard instead of vanilla swirl?
#117 by Geb, Apr 3. 2017, 02:02
@YEK1 - I made this juice a few weeks ago and subbed CAP VC v1 for the VS. I like it better with VC (I even upped it to 6%). VS is close in flavor to VC.
#118 by YEK1, Apr 3. 2017, 02:14
@james really thanks :) I'm a student. So There is only a vanilla custard
#119 by YEK1, Apr 3. 2017, 21:02
@james How do I mix ry4 double with graham cracker?
#120 by Wirm, Apr 7. 2017, 19:20
A great recipe! Thanks.
#121 by gorman, Apr 11. 2017, 13:07
I let it steep for 24 hours. Great juice, deceptively simple recipe. Thanks a lot for sharing.
#122 by D.Antoniou, Apr 11. 2017, 16:38
Please help i dont have the vanilla swirl flavour but i have the vanilla bean ice cream.... Are you agree with that or must buy your recipe flavour??? Thanks for your help!
#123 by Kectalron, Apr 14. 2017, 19:51
May i add a hazelnut flavor in to it how it'll become ? Good or bad idea?
#124 by Geb, Apr 14. 2017, 20:05
@D.Antoniou - do you have any vanilla custard flavors? VC would probably taste better in this juice rather than VBIC.
#125 by Jeffzam, Apr 19. 2017, 05:10
Great Recipe! Thanks a lot!!
#126 by Spyder, Apr 19. 2017, 09:29
The name threw me off but when I saw it was mostly RY4 double I had to mix up 100ml. Off it goes into the steeping cupboard. I'll leave it for 2-3 weeks because I'm a patient guy. I'll report back if I remember. ;)

Cheers

I added VbIC instead of VS at the same percentage and it turned out great after 8 days of steep.
#128 by Healkor, May 6. 2017, 16:21
I made 30ml and I so liked this recipe. Thank you for sharing...

Don't forget: min 4 days steep
#129 by Spyder, May 7. 2017, 06:55
Just loaded up the tank with this so it's been steeping for 18 days. Nice RY4 mix but it's not a custard to me, why did you call it custard? :)

It's kinda up there with the RY4 I thick you could get away with 5 or 6% RY4 Double. That being said, it is a very satisfying RY4 mix and great for those who link a good RY4 and/or a nice tobacco edge.

Anyway, as I mixed up 100ml I'm thinking of splitting some down into 20ml bottles and adding 1 - 2% of FA Coconut among some other variations.
#130 by Shaun, May 7. 2017, 07:12
It has a traditional English custard tone. Caramel cream
#131 by Spyder, May 8. 2017, 11:13
Just read through your notes. Apologies, I didn't heat it or leave the cape off so that might explain why I didn't get any custard notes lol ;).

Ah well, I mixed it as it was an RY4 mix and I like playing with RY4 mixes. With 2% FA Cocount and 2% Cap Sugar Cookie added in it's rather nice. I also cut it with about 20ml VG so it bought down the overall initial percentages a touch.

I might get around to mixing up another 100ml batch at a later date and will remember to follow the heating and cap off instructions.I'll report back if I do.

Happy mixing. :)

This is a great recipe but, it's not a custard. Vanilla Swirl is definitely not custard.... Regardless, it's a great recipe. An ADV for me. Thanks for sharing.

Is this for mouth to lung?
#136 by Whooptidooh, Jun 16. 2017, 11:19
Just mixed this up an hour ago, in a hurry to get out the door. Let it breathe in a hot bath for 15 minutes and it´s friggin´ great already. Thanks! This will only get better with time, I´m sure.

Thank you for this. I'm going through 60ml of this stuff a week now, it's become my new ADV. Absolutely perfect.

i tone down to 10% of the flavor, let it sit on my USC for 10minutes x 3 cycles, it become vapable. nice recipe,

Great stuff!!
#143 by Teresa8536, Jul 30. 2017, 04:37
wow... sometimes the best recipes have the fewest flavors lol... It just takes someone else to think of it. I see a lot of people asking about switching flavors... One thing that I have found out the hard way... when you are doing a recipe that has only a few flavors... those flavors make the recipe and switching them creates something different. Most of the time, even the brand make a huge difference.. they often have a different flavor profile. Not saying that if you switch it will nott be good, but it will not be the same recipe. IMO vanilla swirl is not the same as vanilla custard, I love them both but in this recipe... I think the vanilla swirl is important. Anyway... this is a great recipe!!! How long did you steep??? I have a hard time waiting... I just tried mine and only steeped about 7 or 8 days.. I know it will get better if I wait longer... but it smelled so good lol
#144 by incredible_hulk, Jul 30. 2017, 21:16
Played around with this recipe and added cap cool mint and 0.5 to 1% with 1 month. Accentuates the ry4 nicely.

#147 by Vaggelino , Sep 6. 2017, 15:34
Amazing recipe I leave it for 1 day and vape it today because I was curious... How much steep to get 100% of this flavor?
#148 by Stratos X., Sep 12. 2017, 08:41
Hi my friend !!! can i ask you something?? If I use 50-50 bases, could I reduce the overall percentage by 50% or there is no reason to do that ?? will significantly reduce taste?
#149 by Queequeg, Sep 17. 2017, 23:51
this juice is awesome dude! I made an adaption of your recipe a little bit ago and decided to post it today, would love your thoughts. I'm a flavor junkie so I added a little bit of toasted marshmallow and caramel to the mix, and made the percent of vanilla swirl 6 and sweet cream 2.
#150 by 4 rings of fury, Sep 20. 2017, 13:14
Do any of these flavorings contain Ethyl Alcohol? Why the breath? Just asking because I've seen that it's a total misconception and trend in the DIY world (entire vaping world for that matter) that all juices need to "breath". You're just losing flavor by letting it breath among it equivalent to using a less % of flavorings ...unless of course the recipe contains a decent amount of alcohol from the flavorings. I was at a vape shop 2-3 years ago where they had open bottles sitting on a bar stool and a fan pointed at them. I asked: "what's with the fans aimed at the open juice"? They told me that everyone says it helps steep the juice and they just got those juices in so they wanna steep them since those bottles are gonna be samplers for their customers. I suppose everyone's entitled to thinking they know what they're doing or talking about but I figured I'd ask and bring this up so that you don't miss out on your recipes full potential. I'm actually mixing it myself to try right now. Once in done, I'll use my drill rig to shake it up and into my steeping closet it'll go for a at least a week. Thanks for sharing...looks like it's gonna be spot on 👍
#151 by netzoner, Sep 25. 2017, 22:49
today i will open my batch its 5-month steep ends today
#152 by gorman, Sep 25. 2017, 23:34
FIVE MONTHS?!?
Does it really make a difference?
#153 by netzoner, Sep 26. 2017, 12:45
@gorman i steep the juice i buy or make for at least 2 months
some i let it steep for longer than that

once i buy a juice from budget e juice maker and when i got it it was 2 weeks old because they print the day of birth on the bottle and it was very bad so i just left there and after 6 or 7 months i see the bottle and i thought let me tray it and wow its a different story the same day i re-order 6 bottles

there is a difference indeed
#154 by Paul_dark, Sep 27. 2017, 02:23

I just wanted to point out that Vanilla Swirl is actually vanilla without the custard note, that's why this juice is awesome. Custard would probably take the mix elsewhere.

Made a fresh cotton to taste it, really awesome stuff. I'll probably make this with higher PG next time but I'll definitely make another batch.

Delicious!!! Made this last night and added .30 FA Latakia! Also added a few drops TFA sweetner. Did not use a frother or the warm bath. Just a really good shake and left cap off for 20 min. Was good off shake and even better this morning with coffee. Will be making more and playing around with some more adaptations. Thanks for sharing!!!

Recommends five weeks of stepping and it is much better. I will also try to add something more to it. Otherwise, it is very good as it is. But definitely not as an shaking and Vape.

5 stars absolutely!! Great tobacco mix. Much better for my taste than the highest rated Goofy's and on-pair with absolutely delighted RY4 Delight. Changed the VG ratio to 60/40 to get closer to the taste. Will publish my adaptation with 1% of RY4 Hangsen...

Big thanks again to James for sharing. The above is my adaptation, a bit different using RY4 by Hangsen and substituting partly cream with custard. I would't say it is better than the original but slightly "heavier" and stronger. Worth trying.

Been vaping this for awhile now but only in RDA or sub ohm tank. I find it sucks for MTL and tastes awful but DTL its amazing. Weird. Most people on here are saying the other way around. Maybe I'll have to try it in MTL again.
#205 by MTL sLOVEnia, Aug 30. 2020, 17:13
@jbitts
What mtl are you using?
#206 by jbitts, Aug 30. 2020, 20:34
@MTL sLOVEnia I use my berserker or Siren 2 RTA's at home or Caliburns when I'm out and about. I just find this recipe almost makes me nauseous when I MTL it, like the flavor is too dense or something but I absolutely love it when in my direct lung dripper, makes no sense lol. My favorite MTL recipe at the moment is 10% Soho 3% Meringue. Try that one if you haven't yet.

@jbitts
Interesting, out of my mtl-s the 2xSiren tanks and the Caliburn were my preference for quite some time. Caliburn just broke down (doesn't re-charge anymore) while Sirens are waiting in the drawer for better times - due to my favourite mtl of all times: Nautilus 2 with premade 0.7 mesh coils, which I use more in very restrictive DTL mode.
And, Custard King plays perfectly for such restricted dtl use. The real mtl use I should try it with my Siren and will do so to test your bad experience.

Berserker mini was on my list but being already occupied by several others like the Kayfun 5 (clone), Expromizer 4 and Fresia I decided to stay with my ever preferred Nautilus 2.

Even more strange, I see from your "OhoSsOhO" that we're both using 70/30 and 5-6mg/ml. So this should not have impact. Well, for my nic I am using - nic salt by ZAP as the regular nic is causeing. I find it enhancing the tobacco flavours a bit.

Anyways when started to vape I was only using mtl but within 2 years I switched almost completely to dtl (restrictive options like with the Aegis Boost). I think MTL simply doesn't suffice my instant need for nic. Even in a pod with 15mg ! You need to pull mtl hard while 3-4 easy puffs on my Boost/Drop Solo rda/Hadaly rda satisfy me almost instantly. (have you tried Hadaly ? I need try the Custard King in it - today)

Will go and mix your interesting combo Soho + Meringue !! Soho is one of my favourite flavors. I suppose I'll be trying to add RY-4 double which is my all time best flavor.

I would invite you to try this one:

tjek.nu/r/yDHJ

or if you have not - the more simple original Capone recipe:
tjek.nu/r/4Mzr

And, have a good one.
#209 by MTL sLOVEnia, Aug 31. 2020, 10:52
To add, the majority of my DIY efforts were aimed to get even close to the best e-liquid I've ever tried: the Nasty Silver tobacco. Well, cannot replicate that, not even close. I have had some support even from expert members of this forum letting them to try to crack the formula, but poor success. RY-4, caramel and vanilla are the basic ingredients but trying very hard with all possible combos - none of them realy worked. The original Nasty Silver remains a big secret to me.... it is much smoother than the Custard King and bring an extra note in its flavor that nobody can define...
#210 by jbitts, Sep 1. 2020, 04:55
@MTL sLovenia Wow I actually own a Drop Solo and Hadaly RDA lol, the only 2 I have, then I have my Siren 2, Berserker, Caliburn, Nautilus GT tank and Veco Solo tank. I've been trying to clone my all time favorite tobacco as well called Gold Seal Fresh Tobacco and have bought almost every tobacco flavoring under the sun but nothing comes close, then I stumbled upon that OhoSsOhO recipe on here and haven't looked back, which is amazing cause the Gold Seal Fresh Tobacco was my ADV for over 5 years. I make my MTL recipes 12mg 50/50 and my DTL 70/30 at 4mg. I order all my nic and supplies from DashVapes in Canada. I will check out those Capone recipes thank you but make sure you make it exactly 10% Soho 3% FA Meringue. I have made it with RY-4 double as well but I prefer the original.
tjek.nu/r/AACE

I have a few batches of this Custard King steeping right now, one is 70/30 4mg for my Hadaly and Drop Solo, then I made a 30ml 50/50 12mg to try in my MTL tanks again. Will report back with my thoughts when they are ready, take care.
#211 by MTL sLOVEnia, Sep 1. 2020, 20:23
@jbitts
Amazing not that we share taste for e-liquids but even several devices. Let's rather move to pm.
Just a question re. your OohSsoho... Steeping how long? I made a 20 ml batch yesterday, smells interestingly, maybe a bit harsh? The only Meringue in my stash is TPA's which seems to be on lighter side than FA. So I used a bit more of it: 3,5%.
It seems you're from Canada, Dash vapes I like to follow on YT but never tried their selling site. Getting ready to lift Vic's Siren 2 from the dust. Will report. King Custard just sitting in my wife's MTL (Innokin Endura) and she's happy with it also. But I'd say it does shine more in dtl. Well, I must say all my diy juices are VG 70/30 I am not using higher PG than 30 due to my PG sensitivity. Having said that it might be the cause of my slow switching from mtl to dtl. Vaping's all about flavour to me. While vaping 50/50 I was pleased with 1.8 Ohm mtl coils in Nautilus 2 or some small builds in my Siren 2. Moving lower with PG I was lacking the flavour which I found improved with seveeal dtl devices I mentioned. One of them, not to forget, amazing Freemax Mesh Pro but stiil too airy for me. I only take few hits at home cause it is really clouding the place. But the flavour is so true, so exacts as if you were drinking your juice. Still, I can't take more than a few hits daily because it rapidly increases my PG sensitivity due to high vapour intake.
Finally if you have not tried Nasty Silver - it is a must. With so similar taste buds to mine you will love it. It is far top liquid out of all I ve tried. Nothing comes even close. Smooth, flavourful, just perfect. Find a bottle. I think it's been claimed best liquid in UK a few years ago.
#212 by jbitts, Sep 1. 2020, 21:52
@MTL sLOVEnia is there a way to pm on here? I'm fairy new to this website. Yeah the OohSsoho just won't be the same without the FlavorArt Meringue, the differences are huge imo. I usually only steep it a week or two cause I run out so fast but I made a few extra bottles this time to test how well it really ages after a month or longer. I have also SNV but all you can really taste is the meringue, takes time for the Soho to come to life and blend perfectly. I will see if a Canadian vendor carries your Nasty Silver for sure.
#213 by MTL sLOVEnia, Sep 1. 2020, 22:49
@jbitts
So, sent you a pm. Click on my nickname and then profile and you should find "test" message.
Also checked about Nasty Silver availability with Dash vapes. No stock. But, Sagavape has it on stock for 25CAD.
Shame, wanted to order some flavours from Dash but the shipping to Europe is almost 50CAD (cheapest way-no way😞) Besides min. bottle q-ty is 30 mls. I am used to 10ml and was ordering much from Nicotineriver, US. Until they raised shipping to 150 US$. As if somebody's trying to destroy export sales...
#214 by MTL sLOVEnia, Sep 4. 2020, 23:31
I confirm: this recipe plays much better in my DTL (Hadaly RDA) than in MTL-s like the Nautilus 2 or Expromizer V4.

#217 by Little Blue Screwdriver, Jan 2. 2021, 23:40
I've been vaping this for a while now and really enjoy it after meals or with certain beers. I much prefer simpler tobacco recipes like this. I vape MTL exclusively and mix it at 50/50 with a 13.5% total flavoring. I almost always drop the total flavoring when mixing 70VG recipes to 50VG because PG is the flavor carrier and I find it works best. Anyways thanks for a really good tobacco/dessert recipe.

Still rocks, simple yet delicious. I'm just hoping it won't crack my pod, I prefer to vape my tobacco liquids in my Luxe QS with higher Nicotine.

Great simple recipe, 20min in a hot water bath and straight into the RDA on day 1. Goes well with a coffee.

I can't believe that my first comment on this was 7 years ago. I just made a 500ml batch yesterday. Still vaping this awesome stuff.
