This has been an over 8 month labor of love. Basically all the commercial ones I tried, were completely off the mark, and hence the quest. With over 85 iterations, and literally every chocolate combination attempted, I kept going back to the FA Choco over TPA DCC. I had a VERY specific profile I was looking for, and this is pretty close. 2 week absolute steep time required for the liquor notes to fade off the FA Chocolate. Nice, even, creamy, and best of all simple. Working on some new mixes, with the goal to be as simple as possible without needing numerous flavors, enhancers, etc. In closing, had tried numerous times to get the toasted part of this right, but any amount of FA Black Fire or TPA TMM added, pulled the entire mix off of profile. No subs will work, and it has proven to be a very picky mix, with these exact percentages. Even small adjustments pull it off profile. Will be posting the Golden S'mores that I discovered while in my 85 iterations of this one, which is more of a golden or grahm profile. As usual, had a lot of ELR members offering to help out in this quest, most notably Skullblade789, Fozzy71, woftam, and others.
This looks good. I'm assuming after 85 tries that this must taste damn near close to a original smores? I'm also assuming by reading notes that I couldn't sub TPA marshmallow for FA marshmallow lol... I just put a order for TPA toasted marshmallow in just now...damn it... I didnt see this until afterwards.... also i ordered TPA double chocalate too :(
I guess I'll order the flavors you have here and give this ago... thanks...will leave you feedback if I get these flavors
Let me know what you think after steeping Rconrad. TPA MM is not very strong unlike other MM's, hence the 6% in this mix. I also did not add any sweetener, which you could, which most if not all commercial juices do.
Just mixing up an old favorite. Have 3 separate branches off this one, but still, the original, just works for me. Not fancy, no frills, just stupid good S'mores'y.
