Damn, I can't wait to try this when I get my Brown Sugar Extra and re-up on my Bavarian Cream. How's the FLV caramel? I have the TPA and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Subbed TPA caramel and just brown sugar, no extra. One of the best shake and vape i've had in a while. Can't imagine how good it will be after it steeps. Really don't think it will last long enough to find out. Job well done!

Thanks! AFAIK, TPA brown sugar and brown sugar extra are the same thing, so you really subbed only one ingredient ;)

Very nice but for my taste, I will have to drop the percentage on the Butterscotch. It was a bit too much. Still a great vape from the word go.

This is really good, one of my top 10 juices. Butterscotch, caramel and brown sugar is a good base, cream base with a hint of vanilla complements it really nicely. Marshmallow adds sweetness, but it doesn't get excessive. Cream base gets richer with steeping. Overall great and well-thought creamy toffee.

I started a discussion on this recipe on ELR and someone left a very interesting comment. I felt it's only right to leave it here for the original mixer.

"Just a side observation, and I'll take from the coffee world for this: have you considered slimming down this recipe a bit?
In the coffee world, 20+ years ago, roasters would brag about their 7, 9, 12 bean "special family secret" blend for their espresso; we collectively realise now that by going with that many ingredients, you kind of end up with something homogenized and not really distinctive; people thought 30 years ago these kinds of recipes gave complexity to the shot of espresso, but today we know it just creates a homogenized, no-single-flavour-can-be-identified soup. Today, the most complex tasting blends are those with 2, 3 different types of coffee, maybe four at a stretch.
I worry that with all those creams, sugars, and browns (the molasses from the brown sugar, the butterscotch, the caramel, the toast element in the marshmallow), the flavours will just get lost. My suggestion:
one cream
one sweetener
one primary flavour
one or two accents
I'd pare your recipe down to this:
Vienna Cream OR Bavarian Cream OR Sweet Cream
Brown Sugar Extra OR Joy
Butterscotch
Caramel (to jack up the butterscotch a bit)
Madagascar Vanilla (or similar - to again jack up the butterscotch a bit but also give you a bit of a "french vanilla" vibe with the cream already in the recipe)
You'd play with the ratios. Anyway, just a thought."

Hi, thanks for the comment. I'd like a link to that discussion, I love talking about recipes! Now to answer for a bit, I do know that too much can be counterproductive, and this recipe surely could be slimmed down with similar or probably even better results, depending on what you're after. However it just won't be the same juice (and I admit I like the idea that my mix is unique lol). For example, vienna, bavarian and sweet cream are very different things. You will end up with a different flavor profile with each of them as the only cream. Eggnog, vanilla cream or sweet cheese, to exaggerate. Creams do well when layering them, that's no news. Flavor layering in general isn't either, you just have to get things balanced as you like. And as for the worrying part, the poster obviously hasn't tasted this. It's good so I encourage him to try it first. He has a point, though, I'm sure you could drop the brown sugar and bavarian and up the caramel and vienna but everything else is in my opinion vital in this recipe to make it what it is. Anything else and it's not Game of Thrones.

You can make a sachertorte, but it won't be a Sacher Torte ;)

Hey, bud. I was drawn to this recipe because I really enjoyed Fisticuffs by Good Ohm Boys. It's described as "a delicious vape consisting of butterscotch and toffee with a dab of cream." The ejuice was so good that I'd probably put it in my top 5, and I've had hundreds of juices in my life (expos, vape lounges, etc). I had to sub toasted marshmallow with vienna cream, so I really can't speak on this recipe as a whole.

That being said, I just pulled the bottle out of a 2 week steep. It's not exactly what I was looking for--a clone for entirely different recipe. But it's good enough that I probably won't look for another recipe and tweak from what you have here. One downside I'm noticing is the sweetness of the creams and sugars are really jumping at me, so much so that the butterscotch profile is being detracted. Flavors, especially in DIY, are usually too weak for my palate.

I will probably try to reduce and/or eliminate some of the creams/caramel as was mentioned in the reddit thread. I may also try to add toffee and a bit of dark chocolate to the mix. Fisticuffs had this smoky undertone to it that I think would transform this recipe from good/great to excellent/perfect. With my substitution of toasted marshmallow for vienna cream, I only added to the problem, so my next shot is to place another DIY order and reevaluate before going any further.

This recipe is delicious. Tried after 4 days and it is heavenly. Is going to be a chore to put it back in the darkness to age it any longer.

My first 20 ml never made it to full steep time. It was seriously the best ejuice I have ever tried, diy or commercial. I was going to order what I think you were going to clone at first but there is no need now. I mixed up another 100 ml. and must try to vape my other juice and leave this one alone. Seriously great work, thank you so much.

This recipe looks right up my alley - I have everything except TPA butterscotch. Would FLV, FA, FW butterscotch or FW butterscotch Natural be a "good enough" sub?

No idea, never tried any of those. TPA Butterscotch is very different from other butterscotch flavors from what I know.

fair enough. this mix looks very similar to another juice I mix up often - Imperial Butterscotch. I use butterscotch natural in that one, so I may mix things up and try the FLV here. thanks for posting.
