This looks good Lars and I was looking for a reason to use my anise! I don't have red touch though and I am not familiar with it. I have a lot of other strawberries in my stash though. Does red touch have anything else in it besides strawberry I should try and mimic?
I love using the cactus too! BTW did you get a chance to try my prickly dream?
#2 by Lars, Aug 21. 2015, 05:40
No, it's just a natural tasting strawberry - Using your favorite should be fine! :)

Ok awesome, excited to try my anise! Never thought to use it with cactus. I'm thinking I'll use the organic strawberry on this, since I bought like a litter of the bloody thing....

So here I was, looking for something different to try FA Anise in, and I come across this. Looked pretty weird, but I decided to give it a shot. This is seriously amazing, man. Definitely in the rotation for me. Thanks for sharing, Oh Great One.

Haha don't stroke my ego, hot stuff ;)

I've enjoyed most everything I mix of yours. Which reminds me I need to stop being lazy and pass along some ratings to you.

Really nice recipe. I'm liking it with the anise.

This looks really interesting, I'm yet to get my hands on Cactus though, guess it's fairly integral here given the %age but is there anything that you could sub in or perhaps leave it out? Probably a silly question but if you don't ask...! Thanks all

flipthebuzzard, You're right; it's an key component of the recipe, and it really doesn't have a likeness, so it will not taste anything near the "original" of you sub it :) But get the Cactus (Inawera) - it's great! :D

Lars, thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I'll add it to the shop list.
Had my eye on the Grack Juice recipe for a while so completes two recepies nicely, cheers :)

just wanted to come back to say that this is a wonderful mix - i was looking for something similar. i tweaked slightly to make it closer to the "sour" red strawberry licorice so used Strawberry Kiss instead - but all credits to you, Lars.. thanks for sharing

A really interesting vape. It's very well balanced and there's just enough sweetness in there for me. The anise is there, but not overpowering. Reminds me of a kind of wine gum for some reason. Will make more :) Thanks!

Looking forward to mixing this. will get back on here with my thoughts on it. looks really good!

Awesome intriguing vape Lars. Love how it's a three step vape: the cactus in front, as you're pulling and on the exhale the strawberry works his way up and then on the end of the exhale, there's the anise! Greatly approved by myself and all vapers around me that I let this try 😀
I mixed it up exactly and now have a batch steeping with a little more sweet strawberry to up the pinkness a little. Not much, just half a percent at a time. Thank you so much for this. Going to check out the other recipes from you. 👍👌

Hey Lars. I am finding INW Cactus impossible to find. Any suggestions for a substitution? This is one of my favorite vapes.
#19 by Lars, Dec 14. 2017, 20:24
mrneph2, Sorry, the Inawera Cactus is so unique, I don't know of any substitute... Where in the world are you? Perhaps we can find you some? :)

Had to come back and say I love this, really nice change of pace. I don’t have anise so subbed for some black ice I have. Thanks for the recipe!

I just mixed this up and like it a lot. At 50 watts, it's perfect for me. Thanks for sharing.

Good. Thanks

Weird. All I get is the cactus, and a tiny hint of lemon. My palette must be messed up. Gonna let it sit for a couple of days, and see how it goes ;)
