Going for an Italian variation on Bread Pudding in this one. From the recipes I've read, there is an addition of Orange and Lemon Peel to the Raisins, often using the classic Italian Panettone, (a bread version of fruitcake with dried/candied bits of the fruits) for the Bread in the Pudding.
Zabaglione is an Italian egg-based custard type of dessert with a sweet wine element. Combining that with French Toast for the extra eggy/pudding booster. Banana should help create a more pudding-like effect, too. Not going for a Banana taste, more an additive/enhancer.
