I've been obsessed with cloning this for well over a year now. This is the culmination of many, many attempts. It's richer, creamier and nuttier than my early recipes.

So what's changed?

I've dropped the TFA RY4 Double entirely. I tried various other RY4s but TFA Tobacco on its own seems enough, and not too much of it. It's a relatively obscure flavouring, but it has the perfect floral (rose) note I taste in the original. This was one of the first ingredients I picked out, and it still seems a no-brainer to me. Be sure to shake the bottle well before adding - I've had some wild results which I put down to forgetting to do that.

I've switched from TFA to FW Hazelnut for its creaminess, and used a lot more of it. It does need a stronger nut to back it up, and I've found FW Pecan has the right kind of profile. It's a deep strong flavour but still not quite enough to deliver the almost popcorn note of the original. Butter Pecan would seem an obvious choice for that, but it adds something musty to my mixes. Maybe that can be blended out somehow, but meanwhile I found straight A/P does the job.

I've boosted the creams too. The Sweet Cream in particular smooths out the mix and accentuates the butteriness. I also added some French Vanilla to boost the custard and blend in the nut. I suspect TFA custard + FV could be key to Vapetasia's custard formula (see my Killer Kustard clone for example.)

I'm still deliberating whether the drop of Smooth adds anything. Perhaps some fluffiness?
