My first DIY and this is really good even unsteeped. Plugged your ratios into ejuice me up app and did a 15ml using 50/50 12mg premix. Never tried CLR but this is nice! Liked so much after first 15ml, immediately mixed up 60ml more.
i have tried this..i find it strange...its better before steeping..im trying to figure out what flavours disappear after steeping but cant really decide
Smoked genuine castle long reserve and cried "My God .... me what taste, what flavors" I would like to ask a question relating to maturation in oak barrels .... the taste of oak definitely does not exist in this clone but from what I saw there in the oak aroma company ECIG. After I Just think the amount of 30ml can draw 5ml and buy oak aroma and add a small quantity to see what will succeed .... what do you think;
it is eerily similar.... makes me really question my own ability to discern and identify 7 basic flavors--well, 5 because i could taste the coconut and bourbon... but also wth? how does one even begin to create something like this??? God i wish that were a rhetorical question. anyways thanks a bunch!
reminds me of the first time i ever had bourbon as a "flavoring" in egg nog--i thought to myself WOW after 10 years of only having tasted this stuff 750mL at a time mixed 3:1 with coke/sprite after sneaking it into football stadiums, i suddenly realized that it also TASTED pretty good! haha
I just mixed this up today, put it in the UC for an hour and shook it. As a shake n vape, I am very pleased with this. I can not wait to see how it steeps. Good job!
Spectacular. I used CA Coconut (instead of TFA extra), DIYFS Holy Vanilla (instead of vanillin), and used FA Merangue @ 0.5% to make up some of the sweetness on the coconut switch. Most complex, well rounded, satisfying recipe I've ever mixed. Must be steeped well, but worth the wait. Thanks.
this recipe really sucks. Too bad for me with pink mule base red label. 0 stars! I have vaped around 100 ml and now i am disgusted by it. The coconut is very intense too.
I had everything on this list except coconut extra. I did have some coconut candy, and it substituted fine. I used it at the same percentage that you noted, but I might drop it slightly if I make a larger bottle. The coconut candy made the overall juice smell right, but it is a lot sweeter than I imagine the coconut extra is. Might want to bring the bourbon up a hair as well.
Even though I couldn't duplicate this recipe exactly, it still turned out very close to the original. I like that the overall flavor concentration is only 10%, but it packs so much flavor when vaping. It's not exactly castle long, but it's close enough to give me my fix!
I've been vaping this almost daily for a couple of years now. Someone gave it 0 stars above, everyone is different. I really don't like some of the highest ranked recipes here too. But in my opinion this is one of the BEST recipes on this site.
It is so different from all of the other flavors, it really stands out and I think that is why I keep going back to it. All the custards, cookies, creams, fruits, and bakery flavors are great, but this one is a superb change of pace.
Never Tried anything with bourbon before as just acquired the flavors so thought i would give it a go smells good on the mixer now will give this a steep and report back.
Made this today, after looking at the castle long v2 that’s very popular here. I felt 22/23% flavour may be too much so figured I would start here.
I added 1% Oakwood and didn’t have Kentucky bourbon so I used regular and vanilla. With those changes (and likely this one by default) it’s very very close to castle long but a LOT weaker in flavour.
So that makes me think the other v2 recipe has a reason for being so high in flavourings.
I’m going to do half again if the flavours into what I made, and see how that goes.
Also I made it 25pg/75vg at 6mg and compared to other 6mg recipes I’ve made it is very VEEY smooth. Which I really appreciate.
I’ll check back in when I try stronger flavour percentages.
Fwiw I’m a mtl vaper which may be why I am looking for a bit more flavouring.
Thx.
