Originally adapted from the brilliant work from onmywaydown (e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/241794/Placid+clone+v7).

1/18 - It always struck me that there was something decidedly missing from all the clone attempts of Placid that I've tried, including my own. I thought the addition of Fuji Apple (FA) filled that gap, and it did, slightly, but not all the way. As I kept vaping the real Placid I thought I tasted a hint of banana. I had recently picked up Banana Cream (LA) to make fizzmustards Nana Cream clone and decided to experiment with adding Banana Cream.

At first no matter what percentage I tried it either completely overwhelmed the juice or you couldn't taste it at all. Finally I realized that in the Nana Cream clone I didn't exactly taste the dragonfruit, but wondered if it brought something out in the banana when paired with the strawberry in his recipe.

Lo and behold I tried a few variations of Banana Cream (LA) with Dragonfruit (TFA) and I believe this is even closer to the original Placid!

As a side note I'm not at all convinced that the limes are in the correct percentages, or even the right lime! I did tinker with them a bit and I believe this is closer but the only other lime I have is INW Lime, and every time I experiment with INW Lime it tends to wash over everything else. Tried using EM to no avail. I wonder if Lime Tahity Distilled (FA) might work?

One final note, my nic base is PG based and Adirondack themselves has revealed that they use VG based nic. I believe this is why any attempts to reproduce their juice tend to have a bit more of a throat hit, since no matter how much you try to max out the VG you will be adding extra in your nic. I made a noob mistake when I first started mixing a couple months ago in purchasing a large quantity of 36mg nic.

Anyway, those are my updated notes, please let me know what you think!

Giving this a shot tomorrow. Cloning this juice is what got me into diy. I consider it the holy grail

Any updates on those who tried it?

Do you think Inawera Shisha Strawberry could go in there in place of the regular Inawera Strawberry?

Yes as a matter of fact in later experiments I've found that Strawberry Shisha tastes better. I come back to tinker with this recipe every now and then and I gave up trying to "clone" placid a long time ago. What it is now is simply delicious juice :)

If you have it, try this as the lime base: INW Lime 1%, FA Lime Tahity Cold Pressed 1%, FW Key Lime 1.5%.
