This is a more simple and refined version of Cyka, and is my go-to all day vape about 80% of the time. These flavor percentages are not arbitrary, wild-assed guesses. I have tried so many little tweaks and changes to it, but it's perfect with equal parts of all three. The only change I sometimes do is to up the Butter Cream to 5.5% enhance the thick, full, almost savory mouth feel. Butter Cream ABSOLUTELY makes this recipe. Any less than equal to it's counterparts, and it just doesn't quite do it. A little more doesn't hurt though, depending on your preference.
For me, this is unquestionably a shake and vape. I prefer it fresh over steeped. It's still good with a 1-3 week steep, but it doesn't quite have the "bite" that lets it be such a good standalone when fresh. After steeping, it would make a great cream/custard base at a lower %, but even though these are all flavors that typically take time to reach their peak, this is not one of those recipes. I only make it in 30ml batches, just so it's always fresh. Shake the hell out of it, let all the bubbles rise out, fill your tank/drip it, and hit it like a redhead stepchild.
I am sure that you could play with the VG/PG ratio, even max VG, and it would be fine. It just works best with my setup at 60/40.
This is my first review of any flavor I have mixed. I mixed a 30ml bottle at 70/30. It has steeped for a little over a week. It is absolutely delicious. Very happy with this one. It is so smooth, thick, but not to thick, very full, and it is very savory. Thank you!
This looks very tasty to me. I have Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, but the CAP version. What to you think about subbing those? And of course adjust to Capellas suggested % in a mix, Or the recommendations from this excellent group of mixers in my go to calculator/recipe/knowledge source that @daath has provided for us. I am so grateful to every single one of you.I had very little success with mixing back in August 2014 when I started. But after I found this place I have several good to great recipes. Wish I will come as far as to develop an ADV on my own. And to able to pass some knowledge to new(er) mixers Cheers from a happy Norwegian mix noob
I have actually changed this a little bit. I swapped out CAP Vanilla Custard v1 for TPA Vanilla Custard, and I use both CAP and TFA vanilla bean ice cream. For this recipe, CAP VBIC can be substituted at the same percentage and still be delicious. I have done it several times, and I have found its best with half CAP and half TPA. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Also, it doesn't hurt to bump the percentages of each flavor up to 6%.
Just mixed up a 30ml of this, Its a decent shake n vape as far as dripping goes but I would want to steep it to run in my tanks. Good job on a simple juice AK5150 :P
Finally got around to mixing this really nice. It is my rotation now so thanks for your recipe. I will try the 4 banger with added TPA Vanilla Swirl and may get creative enough to swap the swirl with INW Shisha Vanilla.
I mixed a few of your recipes back in January - the first week I went DIY. I passed on this one thinking it was too "simple". I could not have been more wrong. Just mixed about two hours ago and sampled a few minutes ago. A true snv custard? yes! this is fantastic. I can see whipping up 15/20 ml bottles to take when I go out in the morning. I won't mix huge bottles of this since you say it's better fresh. The recipe is super easy so it's no problem to mix as needed. Thanks for sharing this - it's really a great recipe. 5 stars and ADV material for sure.
I don't know how it can be an ADV with Butter Cream that high percentage. Steeped it for 6-7 weeks. By itself, it sucks. Thanks to lovely folks over reddit, I was able to salvage my 120ml mix. I use it as a base now. So basically I have 120 mls of base laying around. Not a total loss after all.
@turbon - this one is intended to be a shake and vape. the notes state it's not nearly as good after a long steep. I've never tried it well steeped but at a few hours after shaking it's quite good. I mix in 30ml bottles and vape it all within a week or two. try it fresh. I was suprised by CAP VC V1 and butter cream can be quite good as a snv.
Greybeard, those are changes I’ve made to it myself. The only difference between what you made and how I Vape it now is that I’ve added 2% TFA Vanilla swirl. It adds a pretty distinct dimension that just brings the flavor right where it needs to be.
I’m so glad you like it! No matter what, I always end up coming back to this as my ADV, almost 3 years later.
i used FA Custard Premium at the same % and added .3% Super Sweet. this is a really interesting flavor.i am going to try the VS added to a small bottle tomorrow. i like it.
