I mixed this on 3.28 and trying it today after a week steep. By the way I did have to sub the walnut and used MF Walnut at 0.5%. If that made a difference with this recipe then disregard my next comments...
Upon first vape I found this to have an odd (not unpleasant) taste, like tasting something familiar that I can't quite place. At the instant I notice it I feel like it's something I'm extremely familiar with and my mind thinks "there it is, it tastes like..." then it goes away just as fast. Perhaps it's that phantom familiarity I'm finding most appealing. It's not waned after vaping 10ml of this stuff. Whatever the case, there's not one flavor I find to be distinguishable. No single flavor stands out either; rather all seem to be present and absent virtually at the same time. Is there some sort of wizardry at play here? Well I don't know. While there is that constant cycling of flavors going on, this recipe has it's own presence too, and that overall flavor is not something I would yearn for. Still, all those little nuances are very entertaining, making this mix hard to put down. i may be ready for something different by the time the bottle's empty, but I don't think I will have become bored with it. Hat's off to the creator of this recipe. While it might not be the addictive type of vape that I often stick with, it does have something kinda magic going on, and I will mix it again.
Thanks for your review! It was definitely part of my intention to balance each note to be present, but only so much. I get a little something different, and all the same each time I take a puff. I can see why most wouldn't find it an ADV, which wasn't ever my intention. This started as a play on Ambrosia salad but turned into a study on delicate balance. Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm not familiar with MF Walnut, but I'm certain the impact to the overall mix wouldn't be large.
The first thing that comes to mind when vaping this recipe is "balance." The balance on the fruits is impeccable. As another reviewer stated, none of the flavors really stand out above the other, but none are lost. This decliately balanced fruit mixture somehow mingles perfectly with the cream, and gets a nice bit of texture and nuttiness from the Walnut and Marzipan to keep your palate interested.
It's sweet, but not cloying; fruity, but not over-the-top; light but full-bodied.
Had to try this. Have to sub cherries for TFA cherry extract (3%) and mandarin for orange mandarine TPA. (0,5)% 'cause I find it strong.
Smell really good! TY for sharing this!
