I mixed up some of V3. The smell and taste is exactly like the original, but Strawberry Kiss @ 2% brings too much of that 'Koolada' feel that you don't get in the original. Wondering if I tone down the Strawberry Kiss, will I ruin the flavour?
Appreciate the response mate. I'm going to try Strawberry Kiss at 0.5% in my next batch using the V3 recipe and see how it goes. TBH, the original is not really an ADV for me anymore, I got bored of the yoghurt fast! Would be good to replicate it though as a lot of my friends like it.
No worries at all. Yeah I never found the original to be anything that great to be honest.. for some reason I would get a taste of plastic every few hits lol
I do enjoy this clone though :)
If you are into yogurt flavours you should try "juts raspberry yoghurt". It's fantastic
I just whipped 180ml of this and im very disappointed! Doesnt not taste like kiberry at all. I get no yogurt what so ever and the kiwi is too strong. Just wasted supplies on this...
No offence, but let that be a lesson! Never mix up a large batch of something you've never tried..
That being said, aside from the slight koolada effect from Strawberry Kiss I found this indistinguishable from the original when doing a side-by-side comparison
I used sweet strawberry and all im getting is a really tarty kiwi flavor. Your comments are misinforming saying "supposed to be dead on kiberry" and you "couldnt put it down".
Antman, you really shouldn't have swapped the strawberry haha. Strawberry kiss is what makes this recipe taste the way it does, it's an incredibly unique and potent strawberry flavour.
Sweet strawberry was never going to make kiberry yogurt man
So I tried the formula V2 EXACTLY as SteppedOutOfTheSMOG recommended. I have been steeping it for 3 days now maybe. I shake it once in the morning and place it in fresh hot water from the sink, covering it all, and again at night. However, the smell is still different from the original. The original is much sweeter and richer in taste. The color is getting closer, but the color is still yellower and clearer in the original. Will the tastes get closer with time. If so, how much longer should I wait? and should I possibly add some sweetner?? like Super Sweet by CAP maybe? Thanks for your feedback.
Hey Michelle. Where are you looking for the yogurt flavour?
Yogurt v2 isn't really a "v2" per se. FA had a yogurt flavour in their "kitchen magic" range of flavours but it was loaded with diacetyl so they made a reformulated version without any diacetyl for the DIY juice market. Most vendors that stock concentrates for DIY juice have already begun selling the reformulated version. :) I copied this recipe when the transition was being made so I wrote v2 for my personal reference.
Hi Bavle. Which of his recipes did you copy? The one listed here or a different one from the forum?
If you are not partial to using sucralose then by all means, use CAP super sweet to sweeten it up a bit. I myself stay away from sucralose in my juices because of the health risks + I like my recipes mildly sweet. The colour will continue to get darker with age I'm afraid, so that is one sign that this is not a perfect replica. I was content with the way this clone tasted when compared to the original version so I haven't done too much messing around with it.
One thing I should mention is that speed steeping is not good for the flavour of the juice, and you mentioned you have used heat as well which could have oxidised your nicotine and turned the colour darker.
Perhaps try making another small batch and leaving it in a dark cupboard for a week? :)
Thanks for the super quick reply. I did the exact formula you have on the top which I saw that it was used from the vaping underground forum. I used the exact recipes and flavors from the exact labs recommended. I'm totally fine with the colors changing, if anything it will mean that i'm on the right track cause the original IS DARKER. But how much longer should i wait? and didn't you feel yourself that the original IS SWEETER?
With a yogurt based recipe such as this one I'd say it needs a minimum of 1 week steeping to achieve the intended taste, but 2 weeks + is recommended :)
You could try subbing the FA Caramel for TFA/FW Caramel Candy or adding a bit of super sweet to get the taste that you're chasing! Like most things, taste is subjective and I have to assume that I looked over the sweetness of the original when I made my comparison and focused instead on the flavours themselves!
I would still recommend making a second smaller batch and leave that one to steep without any heat or agitation for a week or so.. That'll probably help with the flavour issue you're having :)
Thank you so so so much for your quick replies. I made an account on this website just to write you, and I'm so glad I did. :) I'll make another one and update you on it.
Hello Rohin. Thanks for your message. Honestly, I ended up tossing out the old batch that I made, and possibly burned up with the excessive hot baths, and made a new about 3-4 days ago exactly as you did. To be honest I don't smell the burned sugar that I smelled in the old batch, cause this one i only shook and let it steep, but the smell is still not close to the original. I ended up buying a new 120ml of the original cause I was so frustrated with not being able to get it down. So now I mix some of the original with some of the left over from the version 1 left over, and it does it for now. But I really hope the V2 would turn out better in a week or so or else I just added another $30 (for the cheese cake and the vanilla swirl) to the losses of making this juice. lol.
There's no way that there is banana cream or white chocolate in the original.
I don't know what to say man :( When this version finishes steeping why don't you give me a side by side comparison and I'll see if I can help you fill in the blanks. It's been a while since I've tried the original so I can't really offer too much help :(
Hello Rohin. I've been steeping his latest version and it tastes sooooo weird compared to the original!!! It's so peppery. I cannot tell what's wrong with the picture but it doesn't taste the same. I actually couldn't stand the taste so I took it out right away!!!
I also tried another version by someone else called "Killberry Yogurt" and he/she added Bilberry which tastes so different as well from the original!!! Come to think about it, the very first version from SteppedOutOfTheSMOG was the best!!!!
I've already been steeping both of them for a week, and I have no other option but to keep waiting, hoping that something will taste better after a few more weeks!!
