Notes
Here is the recipe I submitted for the second round of the competition. Went with my vanilla custard recipe as I've been trying to perfect it since I've been mixing and felt it was pretty close to where I wanted it, and didn't have any other recipes near as close to finished as this one. I had to cut out a couple flavours in order to meet the 8 flavour maximum, but was able to do it in a way that, imo worked out very well as it turned out being my favourite revision yet. Once it has been perfected to my standards, I'll be posting that up as well.
Flavour Notes: Was trying to make a really thick and complex vanilla custard, based off my favourite custard juice here in Canada which is extremely popular. It was the reason I got into DIY. So I opened FW Butter Pecan, and instantly I felt like it was one of the missing main ingredients/profiles, but is worked in in a way that you can barely tell there is pecan in it. The vanillin was used mainly to thicken up the mouthfeel when I was cutting down on the amount of flavours I was using, felt it worked out well. The Graham Cracker/Sugar Cookie/Vanilla Cupcake/Yellow Cake combo gives the custard a thicker, slightly creamier, more complex base. Kind of agreed with the InTheMix hosts on the Brown Sugar, think I may try replacing it with a butterscotch because, after watching that and then tasting the store-bought custard I am obsessed with, I feel like the brown sugar taste I was getting was from a butterscotchy profile in the juice but didn't realize until now.
Let me know what you think if you mix this up, thanks!

I like the looks of this recipe. I love Butter Pecan and I've been using Vanilla Cupcake in my custard mixes for a while. Curious what custard you're trying to emulate. One of my favourites is DaVinci Code because of the Butter Pecan (although I think it's a very simple recipe.) I'm going to use your ideas in this recipe and put my own spin on it. Remove the brown sugar, add FW butterscotch, increase butter pecan and lower the vanilla custard. So mine won't be the same but I appreciate the effort and the recipe you created.

I am trying to emulate OMC (Oh My Custard) by Toronto Juice Co. - could be the top selling juice in all Canada (at least in the custard scene - apparently it blows Grants Vanilla Custard out of the water. I think I'm only a few revisions/batches away from having it 90-95% there. When I am satisfied to the point of where I don't have to buy it anymore (constantly going throw the stuff like crazy trying to nail the profile so I just try to keep a reference bottle around of 0mg so I'm not tempted to vape it all in one day.
If you want some more suggestions to play around with, I'd suggest:
CAP Cake Batter, CAP French Vanilla, CAP Butter and/or Sweet Cream, CAP Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and maybe a drop of CAP Egg Nog but maybe not. These are some of the other flavours I have been using to tweak. Also definitely about to use FW Butterscotch for my next iteration. The company claims to only us FW and CAP (but I have my doubts because of how extremely complex their profiles are - straight up top-grade DIY style ejuice for the main market, with decent deals. 15.99 per 30ml and 50 for 140ml incase interested - check out www.vapemeet.com - the 2 dudes who started vapemeet, one was a businessman and the other was a DIYer (iirc). The DIYer for them owns 3 companies under the vapemeet name - Toronto Juice Co., Funksauce, and Captain Oliver's Custards and Puddings. All STELLAR juice lines and all DIY level quality - haven't had better store-bought juice, regardless from where or how much it cost and how popular it is.

I love OMC and have gone through several bottles of it. And a few of Captain Oliver's as well. I agree, they make some excellent eliquids. I mainly vape custards n creams so all of your suggestions are great. I have eggnog but haven't used it yet so that'll be a new avenue which I hadn't even thought about. I haven't bought any juice in a while so I'll have to get some OMC and see how it compares. Thanks

No problem - as I said I'm still in the process perfecting that in particular. Mixing up 3 new batches tonight. Hopefully soon I'll have it close enough to perfect and I'll be releasing the entire recipe along with my notes on it as I wouldn't call it a clone yet. As for the Egg Nog, it is extremely potent for a Capella flavouring. I use it between 0.1-0.5% - I find 0.2% is my sweet spot for adding just a hint of it.

Awesome mix Adam. I'm pretty new and I figured while I'm tweaking some of my "from scratch ideas" I'd look up some well rated recipes. I've got a crazy sweet tooth and so I made the mistake of adding about .5% sweetner. I never should've messed with the original. It's fantastic but too sweet for even me.

Just made 2-30ml bottles of this recipe. One with jungle flavors yellow cake and one with fw yellow cake.
Replaced brown sugar with butterscotch ripple at 1%, upped butter pecan to 3.5% and reduced vanilla custard to 5.75%
Recommend aging time?

@Brad H. Thank you for the feedback :) it is definitely quite sweet on its own, I got quite the extreme sweet tooth as well haha but have yet to try adding sweetener to my VC personally
@Billywilly Thanks for the feedback as well - much appreciation for the rating! Sorry for the late response, haven't been able to mix recently so I haven't been on here in a bit. Sounds like the changes you made would be delicious. As you said, it's great right after mixing - but I TRY to give at least a weeks time before diving deep into the bottle. Sometimes it doesn't make it though lol so I started making larger batches of it. Haven't had the time to tweak and make further changes to it yet, will update once I have.
Hope everyone is enjoying their creations, vape and mix on!
