Notes
This just hits the spot when you want a fresh cool mint ice cream!
Love Liquid Barns Vanilla Ice Cream, especially when paired with Flavour Arts Vienna Cream and Cream Fresh. They seem to boost the delicious ice cream taste and mouthfeel!
As you know I am also a fan of Flavorahs Creme de Menthe.
For me you cannot get a better Creme de Menthe with its sweet peppermint taste that works beautifully with the ice cream taste.
Now the chocolate!
Inaweras Milk Chocolate is the best you can get, a really true milk chocolate taste that is not synthetic in any way, shape or form.
It does need at least 4 weeks for the chocolate taste to really shine, which can be a bummer waiting on but believe me it really is worth the wait!
And you can't have ice cream or chocolate without an overload of sweetener!
Honestly you really can't!
The Erythritol not only adds a very natural sweetness, very similar to the clean sweet taste of sugar but has the added bonus of a cooling effect on the exhale which adds authenticity to the cold ice cream.
You could also add some Koolada or Menthol for added coldness if you wish?
I have also used this mix with 4% Inaweras Biscuit which gave a cone wafer slant to it but most times I go without the wafer taste but you could add if you wished?
Please, feel free to mix up and enjoy!
All comments a relevant ratings will be appreciated!
After all without the feedback, positive and negative, it gets hard to progress further and learn!
Enjoy!

Hi, where can I get Erythritol from. Thanks
#2 by Chewy, Oct 1. 2016, 13:00
I got my Erythritol in pure powder from ebay.
Mixed it up @ 20% in PG, or if you prefer VG?
Really simple to do.
A great, useful sweetener to have in your stash.
You could get away from using it in this recipe if you don't have as it is not crucial to the overall taste.
I just happen to like it and the slight, back end cooling effect it has.

Thanks for the quick reply really helpful, will make without erythritol and wait 4 longs weeks to steep, Geat recipe by the way.
Thanks

Thank you
I hope you enjoy and can wait the full 4 weeks!
LOL
I know I struggle with waiting but what I tend to do is mix a big batch up and dip into when the urge takes me!
As I said, enjoy and please rate accordingly and let me know what you think?
Thank you

The longer you let this steep the better it gets, now into the 6th week of steeping it's superb. Thanks for Sharing.

Have you tried cuprian? How does it compare?
#9 by Chewy, Nov 23. 2016, 20:47
Sorry haven't tried the cuprian yet so can't offer any comparisons. Hopefully when I get some time I will mix it up to try out.
