Zen garden, oba oba and plum where completely new to my growing arsenal of aromas.
Christopher, the way you mixed this together with the other ingredients like the plum and honey suckler is outt of this world!
I was afraid the totaling flavor (7.5%) would be to weak for me as i am a sweet tooth (so i cheated and added 1% sweetner) but at 8.5% it is very pleasing and delightful.
Well done sir.
Im really interested in mixing this up but I am missing the Oba Oba. Could you suggest something that might fill the space in the mix? I know it would not be the same but I'm really interested in the combination of the other ingredients.
@Kopel, I recently made a recipe using Zen Garden for the first time, and as a fresh mix, the Zen dominated the juice, in a oregano/basil type of way Needless to say, it was actually really gross, but I am waiting for it to steep so I can try it again. In your experience, is that just the case with Zen Garden? Needs a lengthy steep to stay out of Pizza territory? Would you say that this recipe here is herbal in that sense...? And what steep time do you recommend for it? Thanks
It needs around a week or so to mingle, but even fresh I don't recall Zen Garden dominating that much. At .5% it should add backnotes, but then plum and raspberry are pretty high and should definitely be the forward note.
