This is fantastic! I had to alter it slightly until I get some more creams and I can't wait to try the real deal, but I'm loving it. I took your suggestion and used some coconut AND caramel and it is wonderful. Thanks!!
This is the only coffee based vape I keep coming back to. Steeping a few days blended all the flavors perfectly. Need to try with coconut / caramel / etc... 5 stars from me.
Made this with suggested caramel, tasted straight away, steeped 2 days, retested, steeped a week and finally finished. Tasty coffee vape and yes great for the morning. My only issue is a slightly perfumey note which I think may be the tiramisu, won't be a problem for most I'm just fussy ;)
Great stuff thanks Lars!
I made this with 0.8% Irish Cream (FA), 0.1% coconut (FA), and 0.3% caramel (FA). 2 days steep, then 4 hrs in crockpot on lowest setting, shake every hour, let stand to cool, then vaped.
Nice flavour, very nice smooth vape, tones are subtle. I may up the %'s a little next time I make it just because I'm a whore for big flavour. Highly recommend this recipe.
Mixed this up exactly and damn does it smell exactly as described desert like, mocha, creamy, coffee. cant wait to steep a little and try. will report back
Mine is pretty smooth after a week. Currently I'm vaping this and a Raspberry Cheesecake all day. If anything it's a bit too sweet for my taste as I usually drink dark expresso without sugar. Next time I'll probably up the Coffe espresso a bit and drop the rest a bit to get a less sweet vapor, but hopefully, still smooth. Thanks again, it's great recipe!
This is one of the best recipes I have made on here. I added Caramel (Original) TFA and Caramel Candy along with a little Coconut FA. Turned out fantastic. It really does taste like a cup of coffee! Thanks Lars! Great recipe.
Ok man. I have been vaping this since last night. This deserves an extra star. 5 stars isn't good enough. Have you tried Irish Cream yet? I wonder how that would do in this.
Couldn't see it in the flavour art section maybe I was being stupid, searched and found it , top man for the rapid response, I'll let you know how it goes.Ta
Definitely requires a few days of steeping. I had tasted it after one day using an orbital shaker plus 30 minuts of US in a 50 hot bath. . .but it tasted strongly of burnt popcorn. FA sesame also tastes that way, but that flavor smoothed out and went to nothing for the juice steeping in the bottle. However the nasty stuff I originally filled my aromamizer with never got any better. Still, it's a solid taste vape like a Starbucks milk coffee thing.
Good recipe , thank you for the share! Unfortunately I don't have the Dark Bean yet so I upped the % on Tiramisu. I never rate recipes when I sub or emit anything but man this is too good not too.
Nice recipe! Added the caramel right off... 30 minute hot bath and shake'd the vape out of it.. really good flavor. I use to enjoy vg-coffee from vaper4life, this just replaced it. just gets better with age. may try the coconut later on. Thanks again for the recipe!
GREAT RECIPE MATE, I'm going to put some pralines & cream in this by Capella and a touch FA caramel, will also put 6 drops FA coconut in 30ml mix, I'm also going to put 0.25% FA brandy in, as I love that brandy aftertaste in Philip rock grand reserve ha, I know that comes from reclaimed oak barrel, but I don't have any oak barrels handy lol
Perfect & tasty made it late last night and tried it later on this morning it is fantastic I can see why so many ppl like this one. It's simple & delicious I made it with just the addition of the caramel mmmh thanks Lars it's fab !
I'm going to make this again, but going to half the espresso ha, as I prefer a much subtle coffee like grand reserve, I think this recipe is a great base for adding nuts, chocolate, caramel, and other additions
So the issue I was having before was due to the Caramel Candy FW that I used. I put in 0.3% and it totally messed it up. Made a fresh batch without it and it's instantly better.
Note to anyone - FW Caramel Candy does not work well in this!
You want a milder syrup kinda caramel like FA caramel, at 0.3% it will just add a touch rather than to much, sometimes I fancy caramel and sometimes I don't, so I made both lol
I made this exactly as listed above with out the addition of caramel or coconut or irish cream and all im getting is an awful super black coffee taste. i did make this max vg but i know it blended well because i make everything in a mason jar and i mix it with a pretty strong immersion blender
Well try 0.2% espresso and 0.2% tiramisu, or even 0.1% of each, as FA coffee is very potent and I have a recipe with only 0.2% espresso and it's more than enough for my liking, I dropped the coffee in this recipe in half as 0.4% of each is a pretty potent amount to be honest and taste like mud
Well I just tried mine again after a month steep lol, and it's strong very strong on the coffee front, it's too strong for my liking now, so I'm reducing the coffee to 0.2% and the tiramisu too 0.2%, I actually thought about 0.1% for both as FA coffee is strong strong strong lol, I am making a few 15ml batches up with some renditions of my own and will post results when I'm happy, but it's going to be a milder coffee and may drop some chocolate in to smooth it out more
Almost perfect to me. A touch of caramel and/or cappuccino would probably make it more layered and thus more interesting. I also think it could use a touch of sweetness, like some marshmallow, but that is strictly because I like sweeter flavors.
Different strokes for different folks I guess, I thought it was ok at first, but half way into a tank it just got strong and muddy for my liking, I vape a lot of grand reserve by Philip Rock and guess any other coffee seems bad in comparison lol, he nails that juice perfectly and it's light on the coffee which makes it perfect for me
Made 100ml up :) Loving this after a 3-days quick test, so can't wait until it's totally steeped (and got some Coconut and Caramel to try too)... Thanks for the share :)
I had to sub Madagascar at .25 for the V. Tahity since that's what I had on hand. It is awesome and I wish I'd have made a lot more than 30 ml. Well, now I know better. :)
I had everything but the Vienna Cream. I added DX Bavarian. This is the best coffee vape I ever had so far. I didn't think the low percentages would be enough but it's just right. Thanks.
I don't have vanilla tahity, but I'm wondering if you think vanilla bourbon might work at a lower percentage with a small amount of toasted almond (TPA) and a touch of cherry morello (MF)?
Sounds complicated - I would just try using Bourbon (Vanilla Bourbon) (FA) instead of tahity - sure it's not exactly the same, but I think it will taste nice! :)
I made this juice at first 30ml, and was blown away. So I made 240ml, now its a bit harsh, been steeping it for 10 days now still the same. Any idea what this might be?
OK, I started Diy over a month ago but my wife only likes Tobaccoish and coffee juices. I personally dont like tobaccoo and I dont drink Coffee. I wasted 1000 ML of total juice and a lot of time trying to make my wife something decent. She hated everything I made (Especially the( (TPA) Kona Coffee) I finally got around to ordering all of these flavors and thinking she will not like this but I was so wrong, she absolutely loved it, My wife enjoys this more than anything I have paid 20$+ for and later that day I tried it, and I even liked it, It was bitter as i only vape sweet rich creamy juices. I made another 120 ML for myself this is a wonderful website with very helpful folks, I have already made 4 of Alisas recipes (Soooo good) I may try a few more of yours. this is definately a 5 star gourmet Coffee in my wifes opinion and I like it as well, I did add coconut chocolate and caramal to mine because im a wimp. Thanks again for sharing :)
Hi All, Its really hard to find Booster Tiramisu (FA) and Dark Bean Coffee Espresso here. Can i sub with something else? Maybe the taste not so close to the original, but still enjoyable one. Really Appreciate some helps.
Well I made this with a few alterations too suit my taste buds more ( I like coffee notes to be very very mild ) so I dropped espresso too 0.2% & Booster too 0.2%, and it's perfect. I also made another batch with my alterations above, but I added in 0.5% FA coco & 1.5% FA chocolate, not tried it yet, but hoping it's lovely too ha, also going to try a batch with Inw milk chocolate soon too, I'm wondering if the chocolate and Irish cream together will work ha, one way to find out lol,
Mixed it yesterday and it is delish! Mixed the flavors in the original recipe, 70 PG 8mg. Will try some of the suggested variations later. Thanks for sharing.
@captain_vapor
I have the same problem, I haven't tried this recipe yet, but Tiramisu at 0.5 for me is overwhelming, I can taste the gluey aftertaste that results from FA high concentration,
I think I will start at 0.2 as you did
@Lars
I have the three Vanillas of FA, but I am thinking that Vanilla Bourbon profile suits this recipe better, just based on my sense of smell, have you tried that?
Just a quick note. If you do not have Booster (Tiramisu) (FA), then doubling Dark Bean (Coffee Espresso (FA) to 0.8 is NOT the solution. Just saying :] Man, that D.B. is some powerful stuff.
von beethoven, Of course you can - it will not be the same though, and the switch from vienna cream to bav/whipped/sweet would require an adjustment in percentage... For bavarian cream I would double it, for sweet or whipped cream I would up it very little.
FA Vanilla Tahiti has an almond component (according to the Gremlin DIY website). I have a nut allergy (one of the reasons I'm going DIY - I need to know for certain what's in my juice). Can Holy Holy Vanilla be subbed for it? I have several vanilla's - which do you think would be the best sub? thanks.
I'm sure Holy Vanilla can take its place - I haven't tried it, even though I have it :) Pretty sure it will be delicious!
I gotta say, though, I am fairly sure that a flavor such as Vanilla Tahity (FA) will not trigger allergies (the flavors are built on flavor molecules AFAIK).
Thanks. Will try Holy vanilla. I know what you mean about the flavors not triggering allergies. Still, for me it's probably more psychological than anything. I simply don't want to ingest anything that I know has a nut component (real or imagined). Probably mind over matter - I think it will make me sick - so it will.
Tried this exact recipe (without caramel etc.) and tbh, it's not really that good. The flavors don't seem to 'push' really through the mix. It might be just personally, but I like my flavors to be more pronounced.
But, not a bad vape in the end. Will try this again in a few weeks with the caramel and irish cream, will review again!
Lars - do you think TPA coconut extra would work well as a sub for the FA coconut? I'm going to mix this up this weekend - I have all the ingredients including all the recommended ingredients except the FA coconut (and will sub holy vanilla for the vanilla tahity since I don't vape anything with almond in it). thanks.
great - I love good coffee juices. will mix up 15mls to start. more likely two 15ml bottles - reading some of the comments it looks like the tiramisu and coffee percentages may work much lower. will do one bottle as described and one bottle with the coffee/tiramisu notes cut in half. if the juice works for me it's a candidate for a 60ml mix.
Excellent.
Wasn't sure whether @Lars suggested Caramel variation was intended to be in addition to the Irish Cream/Coconut variation or separate from it.
I added All Three variations, and my only sub in the whole recipe was to use Inawera Coconut at 0.9% instead of the FA.
Let it steep 14 days, and running in the Aromamizer RDTA with a .32 ohm, single horz. (btwn the posts) 24ga SS 3mm 6wp spaced, 34W, full air.
This recipe is great just running thru the tank, but dripping onto the coil is a particular treat.
I am an old-school black coffee drinker, so can't compare this with the high-dollar Starbucks or coffee shop varieties, but from my perspective this recipe tastes perfect. And most liquids I have tried clash with my cup(s) of coffee, but not this one.
It has a deep, rich coffee flavor, smoothed and sweetened perfectly with the creams, vanilla, and caramel.
Thank you, Lars, for sharing :] 5 Stars
Thanks for the comment vaug :) You did the right thing - I actually meant three different variations, though some of them together would probably be equally delicious :)
I'm going to try to sub the vanilla with holy vanilla soon - I think it will be nice!
Mixed up a 15ml sample two weeks ago and tried it today. it's a good coffee juice. Tried it in a dripper and it's way too harsh for me. It's much better and much more smooth in a kayfun v5. I'm almost certain, for me, it's the tiramisu which is giving that harsh note (which is not present in the kayfun). Will mix two more sample bottles one which cuts the tiramisu down to .2% and one where I'll sub cappuccino for the tiramisu. Recently tried several juices with a coconut note - I'm loving that note; will add a bit of coconut and perhaps the caramel to both. All in all a 5 star juice and one that lends itself to minor tweaks to get a good coffee mix for personal tastes.
In theory you could use any vanilla, but it won't be quite the same. If you have Holy Vanilla, try that - otherwise maybe another Flavour Art vanilla or even French Vanilla (TPA) in a bit higher %...
It's pretty good think I might try some caramel or something with Lil more of a cream to it next time. I like my coffee drinks Lil on the sweeter side.
It's pretty good think I might try some caramel or something with Lil more of a cream to it next time. I like my coffee drinks Lil on the sweeter side. I'm so amazed at the fact of usIng such a low % of over all flavorin and still so strong of a flavor
these are some very potent flavours, especially tiramisu and espresso. espresso over 1% transforms to a strong, almost turkish coffee flavour (at least for me), and tiramisu will take over any recipe over 1%. I started mixing with FA flavours and for me it was the other way round, i was amazed I had to use over 3-4% to get a flavour in a mix
mixed 70vg/30pg with caramel. Absolutely delicious! Was looking to make a coffee/espresso flavor but have always been intimidated by how strong they can be. This is perfection.
Vanilla Swirl (TPA) is Vanilla Custard (TPA) but without the custard notes. So it's more or less just vanilla, you should be able to switch it, though French Vanilla (TPA) would probably work more as intended. Either way, they are pretty different vanillas :)
If you try it with vanilla swirl, I would start with 1-1.1%
johnfrank, Simple: It's because it's enough :) The Flavour Art flavors are strong, and the coffee types are strong in particular. Not a lot is needed to get a full-flavored juice :)
To the remaining 45 mls of juice, I added 6 drops Coconut (LA) and 0.3 mls Caramel (Original) - only ones I had... Warmed and shook the fuck out of it like it owed me money. It's exactly what it needed. Oh, I also added 0.3 mls Sweet Cream. I LOVE IT. I'm sure it would be fine without the added sweet cream, was just a test and it passed, it's great. Your recipe is GOLD brother, thank you.
You can use your favorite sweetener, but you could also try a bit of marshmallow (just enough to sweeten with the taste) - or you could try a sweeter version with some Caramel (FA) (and maybe a few drops of Coconut (FA)) :)
I like the recipe. I'm using a sub-ohm tank, .5 coil around 28-33w. To me the coffee, cream and sweetness are just about right. Reminds me a lot of HIC's Vanilla Mocha Cake (because it basically is that recipe). Anyway, good stuff....
If anyone else wants to follow these subs, a note to add is that initially the vape was harsh & rather unsweetened (15-20 day aging makes a smooth, creamy wonderfulness)!
I made a mix with 0.25 FA Dark Bean & 0.25 FA Capuchino, because @The_Chemist sad its strong and i like also a light Coffee.
But now it smells very weak(to weak?)!
I hope it get a little stronger with time.
Or will the time reduce the Coffee Taste?
Mixed this up with FA Cappuccino in place of the Tiramisu. It tastes really good but is a little weak, which is probably from the substitution since Cappuccino has a much milder coffee flavor than Tiramisu. Next batch I plan to increase the Dark Bean a little bit and add some TFA Meringue for some sweetness and a little more creaminess.
@urgn: That is exactly what I hate. What do you mean by "too fucking strong, cannot survive this in 2018"? What do you think? That everyone is a testosteron-driven cloud-junkie? That's not against sub-ohm-vaping. Don't get me wrong. I Vape a NarDa (sub-ohm-dripper, a Merlin, a Pulse, a Wasp Nano, a FeV 3, an Origen and others). But some people just don't seem to get it. They seemingly think that 1000 Watts and a 0,0001 Ohm coil equals balls. That's so stupid. Why can't you not follow the rule of "live and let live"? We are not in a competition - MtL against DtL. I love a strong coffee flavor and I also had to tweak the % a little - upwards, because for me it was too weak. It's your responsibility to adjust a recipe to your liking. And not the one if the recipe-creator. Was I supposed to state that "this recipe is too fucking weak, cannot survive this in 2018"? Don't think so. More watts, more heat, more liquid, more money for the manufacturers. They play and manipulate people of your mind. Stop it. Flavor chasers and cloud chasers...what gives one the maximum pleasure is just right. For them. It also seems that many people have forgotten the one and most important thing vaping was invented for: To help people quit smoking. And those shops that sell smokers the 200 watts/0.25 ohm devices are responsible for a lot of them not making it. That's terrible. Your mindset doesn't di anything.
Lars, your recipe still us one if the best I came across. Thank you.
LG, Ruana.
Made this about two months ago, forgot to give a review. I enjoyed it a lot, thanks for the recipe Lars. My findings was that a week's steeping is about enough for this flavor. The flavor has a very strong taste and I enjoyed it as a break from all the other sweet fruity and desert flavors out there. Had about 300ml of this and would definitely recommend it for coffee lovers. Well done.
I do not rate very many recipes due to my challenged taste buds but I am really enjoying this mix. Smooth, sweet and creamy! Have been a coffee drinker forever and this is perfect! Thanks for sharing!!
I just tried this for the second time since I made it on 1/8/18 and it’s amazing. I didn’t like it when I first tried it after a couple of weeks but with a good steep it’s transformed into something else. Vaping on Uwell Crown RBA,0.7 MTL Clapton at 20 watts I’m getting a really smooth and creamy vape with a nice coffee background and good mouthfeel. I shall definitely keep this recipe in my rotation. Thank you very much for sharing this, much appreciated.
Lucas.
A tip of my hat for @Lars.
Even after about three years, this recipe is fresh as day one!
I admit that it took me too long to find this diamond.
Thank you Sir 😊😊
Five stars ( I can't find ten )
I've been wondering about this recipe for a long time but never really got to it because of previous disappointments with coffee vapes. Now I regret having waited so long.
I mixed this recipe as published (no additions or subs) and it's a very good, smooth and balanced recipe. The coffee isn't a slap in the face like some of the other recipes. This recipe already contains sweet flavors so definitely no need for additional sweeteners.
One of the good things as well is that you can mix this up in the evening and vape it at breakfast and don't stop there coz this can easily be vaped all day long.
For my palate it is missing a bit of a wow factor but still a solid 8/10.
Wow, this will put hair on your tongue, I LOVE IT. I did add .5 FA Irish Cream and .3 FA Caramel. I am sure as it steps it will get better, but it's awesome now.
