This version of my Cannoli is light with softer notes. For a heavier Cannoli make these two changes,
Bump FA Nonna's cake to .6 & add LA Cream Cheese Icing at .5% up to 1%.
These 2 changes intensifies the Cannoli and really distinguishes how much difference those 2 flavors changes can make. Early mix of either way you mix this it will give off a bit of a throat hit and unsettled notes to some but will calm down after a week or two into a balanced blend.
I got the joy of being able to try this one out before BB posted it and I let it steep only a few weeks I believe a lil over 2 weeks to be exact. I love it , it's a sweet cannoli just a touch of vanilla the breadiness of it is super smooth and realistic. I get the sweet bread throughout the vape. Thanks BB for another amazing vape !
Dio, you can shake and vape but a good three days will do good things for it. But I will say that Zeppola is pretty important to the profile because of what it adds with the nice cinnamon touch and confectionary sugar effect. But I'm pretty sure it will be good with wOw as well, just be sure to get some Zeppola and try it that way too, you'll be glad you did.
BB I was thinking about his adapt and thought he was going to miss out on the light sweetness of the breadiness and I'm glad you mentioned the slight confectionary and cinnamon was wondering myself it is were true if I was getting it or was I imagining it...hahah it does have the Catalan Cream in there a well so could be a nice blend of it all but wOw could bring a fried pastry effect w/ berries thou.So far all my mixes that I have wOw & Zeppola together in have been stellar.
Amy, Zeppolas cinnamon touch plus rich cinnamon is magical, you will be getting my cookie recipe that I made with that idea to test. I'll send it to you, it is still being wrapped up but I think it's most excellent and probably done. I'll let you decide...
Thanks for commenting and for complimenting my recipe. Yes, I can't let it steep much either and it really does remind me of a Cannoli I had last year at Boston in an Italian kitchen/bakery up from the hotel my Wife and I stayed at when she ran the Boston Marathon.
Catalan on it's own is hard to sub but Cream INW Creme Brulee may be a suitable substitute. I highly recommend always having FA Catalan Cream in your library of flavors though.
Thanks so much for the compliment. I never use CAP Vanilla Custard in anything but Custard recipes. I am adding some alternates note in the comments that I forgot to put in when I posted this recipe so check them out.
Haha no worries. I just stumbled across then and it made me laugh. I'm missing FLV Frosting or else I'd give this a shot. Does the nonna's cake give it a lemony taste? I was just going for plain cannoli so I chose to avoid the possible lemon attached with nonna's cake
It actually gives it a stronger cheese bite, it only takes a little. The Lemon note is very faint and barely if at all noticeable at this percentage. I believe it helps the Cheesecake GC along with a bit more authentic cheese dessert tone. If you don't have FLV Frosting use LA Cream Cheese Frosting or just leave it out. I just like the richness it adds to the recipe here but it's not necessary.
Very delicious...not overpowering and not too airy! My daughter is a culinary student and at the time I was vaping this, she was bringing home school projects: canolis! Very interesting to give side by side comparisons! Excellent work, BB!
no need to make the real cannoli and gain 20 pounds when i can vape it! great job BB! very smooth and delicious vapeable cannoli is just what the doctor ordered
Could use a Marshmallow at twice the percent and Catalan Cream maybe Creme Bruelee INW and Torrone FA allowing both to split the percentage of Catalan Cream.
Wow this is excellent! I tried it the rich way by taking ur suggestions and bumping up the nonna cake and adding the CCI. This is so delicious and divine! Once again great work!
Thanks Jazzy_girl, I love this e-liquid and I make it often. Next time if you make this try subbing Vienna Cream with HG Italian Cream for even more Cannoli richness.
Your welcome my fella, I like that the Nonna's Cake gave the recipe a more authentic taste than other routes I went. The Nonna's Cake really made the difference of all other recipes I tested than the ones that I tested with out it.
I feel ya, I don’t usually ask for subs on profiles as I know the time and effort that goes into designing said profiles and the finished recipe is exactly that for a reason! Lol I was only curious due to the extreme low level used. I’ll defo get a bottle of FA Nonna’s Cake and I’ll mix this bad boy up 💯! Thank you for posting this recipe brother it does look great. 😋👍🏻
I let this steep 6 weeks and it has went from NOPE not my thing off the shake, to HOLY sh!t this is amazing. The pastry in this is perfect. Its so light but rich at the same time. Great recipe 5 stars
@Mindfloodz, I like at least a week on this. I do have a steep recommendation at the bottom of the notes section. I'm glad you let it steep before you gave up on it. Thanks much.
