An 'After Eight' is a very popular after dinner mint in the UK.
It is basically a wafer thin soft mint fondant covered in chocolate.

This is my take on it and a very simple and tasty recipe it is also.
In fact when testing this out on friends and work colleagues I specifically didn't mention what it was to gauge whether I had captured the taste and in all cases everyone said it tasted like an after eight! So I knew I had it cracked! LOL

The secret addition to this mix is the inclusion of Caps Jelly Candy flavouring.
Don't be put off with the name because I've discovered that this is a very versatile additive that can and does add great mouthfeel,whilst also helping certain flavours 'POP'
Works beautifully with fruits but works equally well with vanillas and mints!
In this instance when combined with the vanilla and mint it creates a very realistic sweet fondant that I can see working for all manner of fondant recipes, Cadburys Creme Eggs I'm looking at you Next!!! Lol
Inawera said Chocolate Cream adds a very true light creamy chocolate that sits at the back of this mint led taste but adds the rich creaminess that you get when you stuff your mouth full of these things!
The mint itself has that almost candy peppermint aspect to it which FW candy cane does so well but previous incarnations of this used Creme de menth which also worked beautifully. But for me the candy cane held its own especially when paired up with Inaweras great Mixed Mint offering.
I love this mint flavour as it combines a multi layered mint taste in a very subtle way that keeps the interest there in every vape. Very refreshing and very potent so tread carefully with it or it can overtake things in high percentages!
The Holy Vanilla at first taste like many other fine vanillas out there but as if by magic it transforms into a very rich, deep vanilla that I struggle to find an equivalent vanilla that offers the same depth. This only comes to the fore after the magical 2 week steep, which this mix really needs because of the chocolate addition. But don't worry because after this 2 week steep you will be rewarded with this fresh, sweet and very moreish vape that you will wish you made up a bigger batch! Lol
