Original recipe. Creamy strawberry with a touch of raspberry for a flavor bump. If you're a strawberry fan trust me, try this! The combination of FA cream and meringue blend perfectly with the berrIes.
-The juice starts out clear (with the flavors as posted) but will turn a very slight, barely noticeable amber-ish color in about 5-7 days. Then it's time to rock.
-The sweetener is optional. Some like it, some don't.
-You may also try subbing marshmallow for the malted milk.

This is one of the very first juices I'd mixed that I really liked. Mixed up a batch on xmas '17 and wasn't into it at first. I put it aside after a few days and it sat in the drawer for another month. While some of the pink has faded, I loved this mix. Not sure what the magic was, but it crept up on me, kind of slapped me around. I think the SB faded a bit and let the raspberry really shine like the hunker that it is, like a solid reach around. I'm writing this now, a solid 7 months later and -- guess what -- yup I found the last 10 ml of this sitting around daring me to mess with it like that tramp you know you can have a wild romp with every now and again. So here I am, the morning after, with no regrets. You should try it some time, have your turn at it.
Thank you for this recipe. Didn't have Raspberry or Sweetener, but subbed with EM. And even as a shake and vape it came out great. I had a retail juice that was very similar and was my top favorite of all time. Definitely going to have to check out your other mixes.
Zen, you really knocked it outta the park with this one bud! Anyone who rates this under 5 stars really needs to go to a doctor and get their taste buds checked. This is one of those recipes that only gets better with time. This is by far one of the best DIY recipes out. You rock, keep on mixin' brother!
@TorturedZen Thanks so much posting your delicious recipe. I just made a small batch and smell really very good. How long you want me to steep at least? (Normally I steep 24 hours at least any juice even which don't required steeping) Thanks you
@Elites.....I let this one age for about 5 days so the creams settle in. As for a custard recipe you could just work off of this one and just experiment.
Great Recipe! I tried it like it is, and made a batch with .5% Inawera Raspberry and left out the sweetener. After 2 weeks steeping it is more than sweet enough and the Raspberry is more realistic. Both are terrific. Thanks, and thanks for the inspiration. :)
I just mixed this with Blackberry instead of Raspberry and swapped the Malt out for Marshmallow. I tried Malt a while back and it didn't work out well for me personally. That's a lot of strawberry in there but I have a feeling it's going to work.
@ Maureeenie...I've done the marshmallow swap also and it was just as good, but in a different way. Better mouth feel I think. I'll put an addendum about it in my original comment.
How long time would you recommend it to steep for ? just mixed it exact as listed above and i can't really taste the strawberry but mostly just the merinque and fresh cream, will the strawberry taste come out more after a period of time or am i missing something ?
Whooooo that sweetener is just too much. When I get my 30ml of Strawberry ripe I'm gonna have to make this again. I can tell it's delicious , but that sucralose just isn't working for me at all.
WOW! I was surprised by how good this is. At 20w the raspberry was really coming through. At 25w i got an almost cooked taste and 30w was really delicious. I didn't care for it too much when i went higher. That was after a week steep. Looking forward to waiting another week !!!
04/02/16 Just a minor change to the recipe. Nic changed from 12% to 9%. And THANK YOU for all the comments. It looks like this has even made it over to some European DIY sites! Rock/Vape On!!
Ive been making juice 4 months now. Ive made around 60 recipes on here and i gotta say this is the best thus far. Only real adv ive made so far. Subbed fa marsh for the malted cause i dont have it. Great recipe! I did 8mg nic. Id like to make this higher vg any thoughts?
I make this at 75VG 25PG and it's beautiful, I think it makes it a little smoother on the throat, especially with sub ohm tanks. This is the stuff I make the most, really really great stuff @TorturedZen, you're a credit to the site.
Going to make a batch of this right now, tempted to add a drop of koolada to the finished product to give it that milkshake feel? Been trying to create one myself and keep ending with just strawberry and cream(Some great i must add) but guess i'll mix this and see as I wanna try the malted milk i got especially for making milkshakes :-)
I'd suggest for anyone who doesn't bother with shop bought juice thats sweet to NOT add sweetener. Its sickly sweet! A drop of Ethyl Maltol at an absolute push... but all the berrys combined in this are sweet enough as it is and I know strawberry ripe contains some ethyl maltol as it is, which will mix with your other ingredients! Spoiled what could of been a good recipe in my view. I actually made a recipe rather similar to this but with a dash of quite a few creams instead of just the one. Damn people probably thought I got my idea from this hah! But it tastes nicer based on the fact I didn't use any sweetener and even that is quite sweet if you ask me even using plain tfa raspberry :-) Just food for thought not having a dig!
If you've been mixing your own stuff for awhile and not been bothering with sweeteners I think you would benefit with leaving it out. Just thought I'd add this! As above you said it was optional but I wanted to make the exact recipe :-)
Just made 200ml yesterday, it's an awsome recipe
Very well balanced
Very tasty
just what we need of raspberry
Completely what i like fruity/gourmand and very milky !
Thanks a lot
I'd say sub fa raspberry but only use 0.25- 0.5% because it's a lot stronger than tfa. The raspberry is pretty much there to liven up the strawberry and keep from fading. You could also sub the raspberry for acai tfa 1% if you have it. This is just my experience /opinion with mixing.
Fa raspberry to me is just as sweet. I guess it's just how they named it because I'm pretty sure they have a raspberry flavor as well (tfa). I personally like fa raspberry better.
I'm not a huge raspberry fan by any means- for example I really can't vape Rhodonite even with literally 2 drops of raspberry in a 30 mg. HOWEVER- THIS IS EXTREMELY GOOD. Adds a different twist to a strawberries and cream that with this combination goes INSANELY well. Very nice. 5 stars.
Found a bottle of this from July 2016 in my cupboard and the strawberry is still there. Well done. Made mine withe the marshmallow instead of the TPA Malted Milk. Definitely on the sweet side, I'll skip the sucralose the next time, but nonetheless a very tasty vape. Good transition period juice if you've been vaping premium and are just starting to mix.
Mixed up a small batch with 0 nic at 85% VG. Subbed marshmallow for the malted milk and and used 8% FW Strawberry to start (11% total strawberry would be too much for me). Threw it in the crock pot but had to test it after an hour. Delish! It'll be tough to let this sit for a week. :)
Just mixed this up exactly as listed and tried it as a SNV. It's really good and one of the better strawberry recipes I've tried. Cant wait to see how it is after steeping for a week or so. I cant believe how well the raspberry makes the strawberry really pop! I've got a few other recipe samplers I made at the same time but i don't want to stop vaping this to try them!!!
Generally bored with strawberries and cream vapes, but just happened to have gotten in malted milk and was browsing recipes. Unusual for me to have the exact flavors specified in a highly rated recipe but did. The profile is perfect because I have been having trouble creating raspberry recipes that were less than astringent, medicine like, or floral. On a chance whipped up 150ml's and as I normally do dripped some on my 22mm Tsunami in single coil mode, to get an idea of the flavor. It's a winner man, damn good! I did make it with the 1% sucralose cause I knew if I found it too sweet that my son-in-law would like it regardless. Now I am going to have to make a bunch and send him some cause it fits his flavor profile completely. - Thanks!
I've been mixing for about 3 years now and have a pretty good sense of profiles that I will enjoy. Besides, it looked like a perfect to try out the aforementioned malted milk (couldn't see doing a standalone of it). It tastes even better today after steeping bout 24hours, I only imagine it will improve.
Yeah, the longer we mix the more we acquire that feeling of what will work for us. Kinda like a sixth sense. I can look at whole page of recipes and rule out 85% of them.
So took your advice even though I have used these two strawberries before at these percentages I mixed up a 30 ml. It was great off the shake, nice balance and actually tasted the strawberry. Just wondering as you know I struggle with tasting strawberry's, will they still be there after a steep. There's alot goig on behind them and like the other recipes the strawberries for me tend to get lost. Time will tell..warmest regards Sir.....
.
@Madmedic...I think the fading thing is inherent to most strawberries, but I could be wrong. In terms of this particular recipe I haven't kept it long enough to evaluate a difference. I make 30mls at a time and burn through it within a week. Play it safe and mix small batches.
@juice junkie Tortured Zen posted his original mix on 3/12/15. So, this is just a coincidence in the flavors.
Thank you again Tortured Zen for making a great mix and sharing your hard work with the community!
@heel4you...I was the first one to comment on this recipe back in 2015. I wasn't saying he cloned diy or die if anything I was saying diy or die might have made his one shot of off something similar to this recipe.
@TorturedZen kind of crazy I got that Quik and the recipe off the shake seems real close. I made this with sweet strawberry jungle flavors because I feel like that is what is in Quik. You really should check it out! Crazy man! Off the shake they seem real close. I guess we will see once it steeps.
You can sub whatever flavor you have available so long as you understand that you have essentially changed the recipe and will not get the same results.
Good luck!
@TorturedZen.. Thank you for your kind comments. I shall be giving this one a go. Looks Great!..
I see you had a run in with G3N0CID3. Just had him myself, on my back giving S** before even trying my recipe.. What A F**..
Anyway Of to Mix this with a bit of "Smooth TPA". With High percent Strawberries, I get a funky taste imo after a 30 day steep as I always do.. But this really smooths out any Strawberry mix I have done. 2 Drops per 10ml.. Give it a shot and see what I mean..?
@ TwoTone...It wasn't really G3N0CID3. Some kid named SpankyMcYanky. Got his panties in a wad because I leave honest comments and advice to some of the new users. I think you saw my reply.
I have not. My preference for this is Malted Milk. Dairy Milk will work but in my opinion it tastes thinner, at least to my palate and won't give the same 'texture' or mouth feel.
How long did you steep? Some strawberries tend to fade, then bounce back after a few weeks. You can sub any strawbs you think will work.
I have difficulty tasting strawberry so I'm constantly experimenting with different combinations. One suggestion would be to cut back on the other ingredients just a bit to see if the strawbs pop through.
Many thanks for the feedback, TorturedZen! I steeped for about one week. I don't think cutting back on the other ingredients would work because they are already subtle. Maybe I try with Inawera Shisha Strawberry, I read somewhere it was good for strawberry-blind people (which I may be?)
Do you think I can just add a few drops of Inaw. Shisha strawberry to the mix I have? (I prepared 60 ml!)
Maybe I need more sucralose? I also read somewhere that sucralose helped to bring Strawberry flavour up. I added only half of the sucralose recommended in the recipe. BTW, the raspberry hint is great
Mcclurejacob-be aware some have reported the Strawberry (Ripe) having a tendency to fade after extended steeps. I have not experienced this but just giving a heads up.
You are correct Mr. Englishguy! Unfortunately for you us wannabe's know how to enter correct flavor names when we post recipes.
Sadly, you don't even qualify for that.
@TorturedZen is this the same adaptation as the one posted on ATF ? The one on AFT has lower %'s on some ingredients, which one do you recommend mixing i have all the flavours on hand.
The original recipe here, due to my being new to DIY at the time, has some higher percentages. The re-worked recipe was posted on ATF while this one, if I remember right, remained unchanged.
Try the lower ATF version first. If the strength works for you then no need to make this one. Or...make both and let your palate guide you.
Hi TZ. Ive made a batch of this, but left out the sweetener. And all i can say is WOW!
I will have to mix this in large batches in future as the whole family keeps on requesting.
This is the first recipe that I enjoy. Very new to this, as you can guess. Everything that I have mixed before tasted aweful. This, however is not only delicious but also quite unique. Really like how creamy flavors work here. Will try to improvise and sub all the strawberries and raspberry with some other fruit. I think peach should work great.
Thanks again @TorturedZen
You have made DIY enjoyable for me.
I've been mixing (copying other people's skills) for a few years now. Mustard Milk got me 1st, then Bearded Smooth No5, but always been concerned about the diketones in those. I've been searching for a Strawberry alternative without the nasties for a while now. I think I've found it! Even straight off the bat it's fruity, creamy and more importantly has a smooth mouth feel. Can't wait for it to steep. I did sub the malted milk for FA marshmallow. Well done @TorturedZen and thanks for sharing 👍
First time trying someone else’s recipe. Yup TZ, damn good! (and I’m tone deaf to strawberry) mixed up 30ml, one week steep, GONE in one day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
