Yes. IT's a recipe for a concentrated flavor, basically. A flavoring to add to your stash to make it easier to mix a new creamy, cake-like juice with.

At what%
#4 by Alisa, Dec 23. 2015, 21:31
Depends on the recipe. If I want the juice to be very cakey, I'll use up to 5%. If I just want the cake mouthfeel, I'll use maybe 2%.

Hey :)
Those bases of yours need steeping or any other methods to blend?
Thanks!
#6 by Alisa, May 31. 2016, 14:13
Hey White Raven... for a stone, I will just add ingredients to the bottle, shake it up a little bit and put away in my flavoring cabinet. Anytime I use a flavoring, I shake well beforehand. I have found with my custardstone, if my stone has been curing for more than a month, I don't have to leave the newly mixed ejuice to age for very long. So, the stone's aging seems to cut down cure/age/steep needs on a new mix. Hope that helps you!

Thanks! It does :)

Mixed up a 60ml of this today...need a couple creams to make your cream stone though...

Oooh, it's been steeping a month now....time to use my new flavor :)

Hey Alisa, i've been following all of your recipe from the day i started my DIY, and i gotta say its pretty spot on recipe you've got...
For this one im kinda curios, i dont have vanilla cupcake, so it is okay if i replace it with Vanilla Swirl? My Cake batter and marshmallow is CAP, not TFA..
#11 by Alisa, Aug 22. 2016, 19:34
@SRSL - the Vanilla Swirl is more like a custard than a cake. Not sure what that would do. The Vanilla Cupcake is the main ingredient. CAP Marshmallow is fine.

Hay Alisa, thanks your for your update... So, what we are goin after for this one is to be a more cakey feels, isnt it? How if i replace it with Sugar Cookie?
#14 by Alisa, Aug 23. 2016, 16:39
@SRSL - perhaps try it with the Sugar Cookie, but just do a very small batch. Let us know how it goes!

Anyone try this with DX Vanilla Cupcake? This sounds like a good base, but all I have is DX and so far I'm not a fan of the DX versions but who knows maybe it will be ok..

Hi Alisa, really lovely idea of making a flavor concentrate batch, just a question tho, let say after i mix it up and wanna make a vapable bottle of 50 ml, how to calculate it, especially that i used to make this particular recipe either for 30ml or 100ml for a fixed ratio.

Thanks in advance dear
#17 by Alisa, Jan 30. 2017, 21:45
@QB's - As a stand-alone flavor, I would try it at maybe 7 or 8% to start. But, as a stand-alone, you might want to add some type of sweetener too.

So, to use it as a stand-alone flavor, first, use the ELR 'create recipe' and just add this as a flavor. It's already in the database as a flavor with the name 'Cakestone' .

I have a problem with CAP cake batter, as it is flammable and kinda hard to get it overseas, can you suggest an alternative that would give a close result?
#19 by Alisa, Mar 26. 2017, 00:39
Flavorah's Cake Batter would be good, but it's a less 'heavy' cake batter flavor. Real Flavor's Cake Batter would be best, but it IS a much stronger flavoring. YOu may have to experiment a bit.

@Alisa hi , I have FA Marshmallow ,how many percantage should I use?
thanks

i have all but the cake batter... darn it. im kinda interested in trying this out. i have tried other cake stones for recipes & it wasnt bad. just felt like it was missing something...oh ya, it wasnt cakey LOL i guess they were more like creamstones thinking about it. before i go buy yet a new flavor (cake batter CAP),i was wondering how this cakestone holds up in recipes? i glanced at your public recipes using the cakestone & i noticed you have used it in quite a few recipes. i'm looking for a cake stone that not only tastes like cake, but has a good mouth feel too.

Hi Alisa im new here going to make up some of you recipes they look great just a question if i make up this stand alone can i just add pv/vg and mix like a one shot
#23 by Alisa, Jun 17. 2020, 17:34
Yes, @Sarel . If I want the juice to be very cakey, I'll use up to 5%. If I just want the cake mouthfeel, I'll use maybe 2%. Experiment small amounts to find out what the best is for you.

Thaks alot will do
#25 by Benny, Jun 18. 2020, 15:31
Hi Alisa, can i use vanilla cupcake from capella
#26 by Alisa, Jun 18. 2020, 20:50
@Benny - My recommendation for ANY substitute on a recipe is to definitely try it, but just make a very small amount . For a 'one-shot' recipe like this, I would try just making 2-5ml of it, then test it by mixing with it and trying it out on a device with new cotton/atomizer. Then adjust the recipe as needed. The 'median' recommended percentage of flavoring for both the TPA and CAP versions, are slightly different. CAP is (for VC) a little stronger, so you may not need as much. You can check the 'median' recommendation of a flavoring here on ELR before you begin to make such a change.

Anyhow, have fun with it!
