THIS is my favorite Bust-a-Nut so far.
Real Flavors ( http://www.realflavors.com/ ) does not make the Butter PEcan flavor yet, so I am continuing to use my favorite so far from Flavor West. But, the rest of the flavorings are all from Real Flavors and they have done an exceptional job with these.
The difference between this and the original is not significant, but definitely made for the more discerning palate. It's very rich, CLEAN, Nutty and creamy.
REcipe is high VG, but not Max Adjust to your own liking.
Hi Lisa.. first things first..I must have made a litre of bust a nut over the past couple of months and love it... looking at your original recipe and this I see that the percentages for real flavours have been dropped by quite a lot.... my question for you is compared to FW.. how do the flavours from real flavours compare in your opinion... reason for asking is that I have a delivery arriving today with real flavours and would love to hear your opinion... by the way did I say ..I LOVE BUST A NUT and creme brullee... mmmm.mmmm.
Hey @MARNIC ! The RF are MUCH stronger, concentrated flavorings. They are also very smooth and 'cleaner' tasting, IMHO. Please come back and let me know what you think after trying this.
Thank you, @Ciginix. Good to hear someone else feels the same as I do. I still enjoy the original, but this new version is sooo smooth, rich, and clean tasting.
Made this on 7th April and tested today. Totally know what you mean about it being 'cleaner', yet it's still got that lovely creaminess to it as well! The RF Hazelnut Is fantastically realistic. Yummy - Awesome job @alisa - now we just need to get Walt to release a Butter Pecan 😃
While you're waiting for Walt you could get some Purilum Butter Pecan. I just made an adaptation of your recipe using that and the RF SC Hazelnut. I think I'm in LOVE! :)
@SthrnMixer - interesting, as I wasn't impressed at all by my initial testing of the Purilum. At what percentage did you mix it? Obviously, I need to revisit.
Hi it's been awhile since I've looked at your recipes, noticed the RF version so contacted real flavours, and found that here in the U.K. RF concentrates are available from rainbow vapes or chefs flavours.
Hope this will help any Brits looking.
Is your FB page a mixing page ?
@Alisa, Wow! WOW! I'm a fan of the original BAN, and this RF version is so delicious. It's much smoother, softer but tastier. Please post more of your RF recipes/conversions. Thank you very much for such delicious recipe!
Thank YOU, for taking the time to comment, @UglyTiger ! So glad you like. I have a couple of other RF recipes, but not ready to publicize yet. On the road a lot these days, so not as much time to experiment either! haha
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Real Flavors were VG-based, but the (SC) versions are PG based. I have some Strawberry (SC) (RF), and it looks way too watery to be VG-based to me.
@Urano_Metria and @UglyTiger - I believe PG is the main base in the Super Concentrates. From their website FAQ - "VG Based, and Super Concentrates are the same flavor but do differ in the concentration amounts and the base. Super Concentrates tend to be 4 - 8 times stronger than their VG counterparts. VG based flavors are alcohol-free and the only base is VG. Super Concentrates are alcohol based (up to 3%)."
Even after 3 days, the stuff is great. A tad too buttery to my taste and may try to play with ratios/subs to get this off, but one of my great vaping pleasures of late.
Part of me wants to put banana and walnut on top, for a completely different recipe.
@Alisa I was so excited to make this that I didn't even noticed that I ordered the VG based RF concentrates instead of the super concentrates. My Question is, can i still work off this recipe, or will I have to adapt it or work off the V1 recipe? Help Please!
@Eugynn - Oh my... well, my understanding was the VG based were all being phased out and only the SC would be made anymore, but that was info I had back in the middle of last year. Not sure what happened. I only use the SC versions which are approx 6x's as strong in most cases. You may have to do some experimenting of each flavor to see what works, or (depending on your vendor), see if you can exchange them for the SC version.
hi Alisa, want to try this but is it possible to go completely RF as they have butter pecan pie, FW is hard to find. you can check the link http://www.realflavors.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=BPP-PSC
and if so what percent would you recommend since its concentrate
@ Bulaureen - I feel bad, as I've not tested that butter pecan pie yet. I will make an effort to mix it this weekend and see if I can work with it. Just a warning though. A couple of other experienced mixers have commented it isn't very good at all. I will try it though.
thanks alisa for your reply then have you gave Butter Pecan Flavor by Capella's a shot before since thats the only one available by my online supplier if looking to source it locally
No. Unfortunately, I don't have that one yet, @Bulaureen . I have been told by another very good mixer that the CAP version is really good though. He recommends using about 4% in a mix. Let me know if you do try it!
