This recipe has taken me aaaaaggggess. Couldn't get the raspberry right. Until I had a drunken brainwave - not usually helpful I know. I was using tpa raspberry. It's flavour art raspberry ffs, What a bell! ;)
Unusually, this recipe was a huge labour, but after 10 attempts I think I'm as close as I ever will be and I probably need to put this to bed. ran out of the original a while back. I like to do a back to back comparison. Smells very similar at least.
The raspberry tastes so different to other juices, because there's a ton of lime in there. It needs a bit of a steep so that the lime can become one with the raspberry, although tbh it's pretty good right off the bat.
It's a touch throaty (wouldn't call it harsh) due to the combination of lime, citric acid and rainbow sherbet, so girls blouses need not apply ;)
I may still edit yet, we'll see how the lime steeps.
This is a seriously good recipe. The way the bite of the lime/sherbet compliments the sweetness of the raspberry is just spot on. Recommend this to everyone!
Pg is easier to work with because it can be used straight out of the fridge, is easier to pick up with a syringe and less likely to suffer from hot spots of higher strength. It also tends to last longer as it dissipates oxygen quicker.
This was a difficult 5 stars for me, turns out i don't care much for rainbow sherbert and i am not a fan of the original, the Mrs however absolutely loves it and goes through this at a rate of knots, so i don't like either and she loves both so pretty much spot on!
Hi, i want to make this recipe, with the raspberry (beryl) is that the same as normal FA raspberry? I ordered wat i thought was going to be the beryl version but looks to me as if its just the normal raspberry now its turned up. Thanks
