Very good Thanks
#6 by Dubbya, Dec 7. 2015, 22:52
Nice little recipe! I knocked the sweetener back to 2.5% as 3.5% seemed a little too sweet.
#7 by TRisin, Jan 4. 2016, 07:32
Nice I just made a recipe last night when I was on instagram and seen a company doing a Twinkie e-juice. My recipe has almost exactly the same ingredients, only no sweetener and I have CAP V.Cupcake which is heavy on the vanilla. % are different but I'm happy my ingredients sound like the right direction. Haven't mixed mine but will have to try with the % you have listed in a second batch, just have to figure the cupcake out, maybe higher yellow cake or was also thinking maybe CAP NY Cheesecake with the V.Cupcake. Appreciate the recipe def makes me wish id mixed some up tonight!
#8 by karnkrimmommie, Jan 25. 2016, 12:10
Made this and let it steep for a week and its great!! Im extremely picky but I love love this one. It'll prob be better if I let it sit longer but i dont have patience lol. I made it without sweetener at first but soon realized sweetener with this recipe is a MUST. Keep the recipes coming Arnie.. thanks so much 😀
#9 by karnkrimmommie, Jan 25. 2016, 12:12
I also used the last of my bavarian and sweet cream to make this. It'll prob be a no go but any suggestions on subs for those? Jw
#10 by Engnr264, Feb 7. 2016, 03:11
I made this and let it steep for a week. This is amazing!! I just made another batch, 120ml this time... This has become my ADV!!! Thanks for sharing.
#11 by ElimiNathan, Feb 15. 2016, 17:21
Nice job. Its only been steeping for 4 days but I can already tell where the flavour is going. I think its gna be pretty good after 2 weeks
#12 by atallcosts, Mar 24. 2016, 21:25
Steeped for 2 weeks and its very good. I may bump down the sweetener just a tad on the next batch, but its great as is. Thank you for this recipe.
#13 by lesharodin, Apr 13. 2016, 11:08
Too much sweet and I use only 2% of sucralose. All I can taste is Sugar.
#14 by Howard Hughes, May 12. 2016, 18:58
I backed the sweetener down to 2% & it turned out excellent. My 15 ml test batch was gone right away so I went ahead & made another 90. Very nice for someone with a sweet tooth like me.
#15 by Crispeezy, May 15. 2016, 07:17
I don't have yellow cake :( can I substitute at all ?
#16 by Howard Hughes, May 25. 2016, 21:14
I don't think I would substitute anything for Yellow Cake.
I've tried Vanilla Cupcake & Cake Batter before (not for this recipe), but it's not the same.
#17 by m3ek, Jun 7. 2016, 07:14
I had been vaping this premature from the recommended steep time. I thought it was just okay so I eventually set it aside. Tonight, which is 20 days from mixing, I picked it up and gave it another shot. Wow... that steep time is a must to get the full flavor! Way better than it had been before, if not a little too sweet still. I don't entirely get twinkie from it, but it is really good. Will be making again but with less sweetener.
#18 by Aquaneo, Jun 28. 2016, 22:41
I cant over state how much this needs to steep. Not good after a shake but very good after 2 weeks. Funny really, I was gonna toss it after I made it but it is so much better now.
#19 by Kitsune, Jul 2. 2016, 22:15
Can EM be subbed for the sweetner? I'm not a fan of sucralose
#20 by diyjuicer, Jul 25. 2016, 05:24
One of my favorites. I usually reduce the sweetener down to 1-2% though. :-)
#21 by Rangerdavid , Aug 3. 2016, 03:27
this stuff is awesome!! I was vaping it, and my wife said "that smells like hostess twinkie"!! Ha!!
#22 by Bledzepplin, Aug 20. 2016, 02:12
Great recipe definitely five stars thanks Arnie
#23 by BigClaude, Aug 20. 2016, 15:51
Love this recipe
#24 by KyleC1717, Aug 29. 2016, 04:39
Anyone made this as max VG? Any difference in taste?
#25 by geemoney808, Sep 1. 2016, 06:05
Was wondering the same thing Kyle, I think with the high flavour percentages it should work fine?! I have adapted the recipe at 80/20 to make a 10ml test batch. Will report back when it's had a chance to steep
#26 by Beast Coast Vapors, Sep 1. 2016, 10:07
Working on a Fried Twinkie recipe based off of Arnie's original recipe. I'll post a link if it's worth a damn.

Happy Birthday (yesterday) Arnie!

How long did you steep it BrotherBob?
#29 by BrotherBob, Sep 3. 2016, 22:59
#27 &28 aswr. :7/25-9/1 ~3wks plus.
#30 by KyleC1717, Sep 3. 2016, 23:50
Thank you for the answer. :-) I'll stash mine away and give it a try in a few weeks. Been looking for a clone for Tallahassee by Cult Classics which is a sweet Twinkie. Hoping this is close.
#31 by BrotherBob, Sep 4. 2016, 17:04
#30 aswr. : " Hoping this is close." Pls let me know how it works out.
#32 by rosieisred, Sep 24. 2016, 09:22
What do you think would happen if I added some Joy to this??
#33 by BrotherBob, Sep 24. 2016, 17:31
Don't have Joy, however some of these might give the mix some pop:
FA Meringue,TFA Vanilla Swirl,TFA Sweet Cream,FA Vienna Cream,TFA Toasted Marshmallow. Answ #32 [re; Mild breadiness-No punch #27]
#34 by KMvapes, Oct 19. 2016, 18:53
Seems no matter how long i steep this it looses it's flavor after a day or two vaping. I have followed the recipe exactly every time too. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Wish i could get it to work cause it sounds delicious!
#35 by Aintunice, Oct 20. 2016, 06:40
@KMvapes - I am about 40ml into my first batch. Steeped 18 days exactly. If you use that much sweetener, you need a fresh wick daily, and better yet, half way through the day. My next batch will cut the sweetener down or out completely. Not sure yet exactly. Good luck!
#36 by Shelbygirl62, Oct 22. 2016, 01:44
Love it! Made a 30ml batch and that lasted 2 days and now I'm on my 2nd batch of 120ml. Definitely an ADV. Thank you so much
#37 by jamesspringle, Dec 5. 2016, 23:45
I hate to be that guy, I really do. Made the recipe exactly with the exact ingredients, no substitutions. I put in a 30ml bottle on 11/6, dropped it into the box, and gave it a vigorous shake every single day. Pulled it out today to give it a whirl, which is around 30 days of steeping. Using a Aromimizer Supreme RDTA with dual fused claptons at about .25 ohms. It smells like Play-Doh. It tastes like Play-Doh. If I had bought this at my local B&M I'd accuse the juice maker of liquefying Play-Doh and putting it in a bottle for some unsuspecting vaper to buy. Just no. I've been vaping since May 2014, been making e-juice since January of this year. And I've never made a juice that made me want to dump not just the tank but the entire bottle of juice immediately. I'm sorry, I really am, but no.
#38 by Peter.B, Feb 8. 2017, 19:54
Jamesspringle you must have done something wrong or you have dodgy concentrates ive been making this for some time and always taste great ,, check you concentrates
#39 by KMvapes, Feb 8. 2017, 21:41
@jamesspringle my wife says the exact same thing every time I make this juice. I however don't get that from it and it has become one of my ADV. Your opinion is not wrong and you are entitled to it.
#40 by jamesspringle, May 3. 2017, 17:46
@Peter.B With all due respect, sir, I didn't do anything wrong. I made the recipe just the way it's listed. And all my concentrates are fresh, stored in a cool, dark place away from anything that might affect them. I think @KMvapes is right though, this is one of those subjective things where each person's taste buds are different. I really wanted to like this, as I was craving a good Twinkie recipe. But after steeping for 30 days I was amazed at how bad it tasted. Again, it's not a knock on @Arnie, it's just me.
#41 by Sierra Nev@d@, May 26. 2017, 22:39
Hello Arnie, i had tried this recipe, but made it as a twinkie base.
It was a great recipe.

i mixed with tanger FA n orange FA, makes a great Orange Twnkies. It was good after 6 hours. And I cant stop vaping it.

below are my adjustments..
PG 60% (Since i dont vape much pg)
Tanger FA 3%
Orange FA 2%
Vapecraft's Sweetner 20% Sucralose at 1.5%.

Next, im tryng Strawberries, Bilbery and Banana.. wish me luck.. coz im dong a 100ml batch. hv a nice day.
#42 by Sierra Nev@d@, May 29. 2017, 13:09
Jamesspringle.. try a factory made ceramic atomizer. Such as the Ccell vaporesso. Or any other built in coils.. im sure u'll enjoy this vape and thousands others. Cheers.
#43 by Degamad, Jul 30. 2017, 15:58
Looks good... trying it now. Thanks!
#44 by Tay-JW, Aug 2. 2017, 23:10
i dont have vanilla cupcake...can i substitute it for anything els?
#45 by SelfAclaimedMixoligist, Sep 7. 2017, 11:08
what percentage do i need for van cupcake CAP instead of TFA. PLEASE HELP dying to make a twinkie and this seams to top them all
#46 by Dubbya, Sep 7. 2017, 15:18
@SelfAclaimedMixoligist, I'd say around 2.5% would be a solid starting point. You can fine tune it from there.
#47 by WhosOnTheThrone, Oct 7. 2017, 00:05
Substituted cap sweet cream @2% and super sweet @1% just because I prefer them. Very nice recipe. Thanks 👍
#48 by Dubriato, Nov 20. 2017, 14:24
great recipe, good vape!
#49 by greenhithogger, Dec 13. 2017, 16:48
Awesome vape! Steeped for over a month and was fabulous!
#50 by KumariHPX, Dec 30. 2017, 07:14
To address a question, I don't have the Cake and substituted with
Biscuit (INAWERA or JF)1.00
Frosted Donut (TPA)1.00
Joy (FA)0.75

Also, Sugar Cookie + Cheesecake (Graham) makes a cake-like flavor

Will report back when have all flavors, but so far this is a good recipe!
#51 by KumariHPX, Jan 3. 2018, 05:16
Ho Ho, using cake for Twinkies would be much too uncomplicated! LoL

Bastardized as such:
Cheesecake (Graham Crust) (TPA)3.00 + Joy (FA)0.75 + Sugar Cookie (CAP)4.00.
Sweetener is JF at ONLY 1% (and that's plenty).

2 weeks to cure and it's scrumptious! (Was great after 1 week, too). Think Biscuit would be better sub for me than SC (as I am quite sick of it by now), and Frosted Donut the best sub of all (it is v. cake-like); mix the two.

I'll try it for the YC and I have Vanilla Cupcake (FW) on the way, so I get to play again!

Would like to know if anyone's tried Fresh Cream (FA) or Meringue (TPA) in a Twinkie recipe, since I'll receive soon and would like to give them a go. Or a diff. recipe where either shines is helpful - thanks!

And thanks Arnie for the yummy recipe!
#52 by JeffreyReal , Jan 27. 2018, 14:54
Followed recipe exactly as posted. After 1 week steep - great taste, however after 2 week steep the flavor became very much muted. Trying to figure out how to change things up to prevent this from happening.

Thinking about adding either strawberry Ripe or sweet strawberry at this point. But ultimately, I would love it if I could just keep this standalone.
#53 by Suomynona, Apr 24. 2018, 21:36
@JeffreyReal If you already notice that after steeping, the flavor fades away, you can really suspect maltol or ethyl maltol being at work. It mutes flavor when used too much (3.5% sweetener on top of the other EM containing flavors). Adding Sweet or Ripe strawberry is only going to make this worse.
You'll have to cut down on the sweeteners and if you still want it to be so sweet, try a little sucralose or other sweeteners. You should check the MSDS sheets on the flavor pages. For most TFA flavors it will tell you how much EM there is in the flavors already... beware of those.
I'm glad I see your comment though, now I know not to follow this recipe :)
#54 by jayquik03, Jul 31. 2018, 20:34
tastes great but kills my coils. Used as a S&V didn't get a chance to steep it more than 2 days.thinking about making a bigger batch and lowering the sweetener to 1% as suggested or maybe replacing w/ marshmallow.
#55 by Bootleggers, Apr 8. 2019, 14:13
I used Capella Super Sweet @ 1.25% and ethyl maltol@ 1.25% for a total of 2.5% sweetners. I think it made the creamy middle of the Twinkie more realistic.
#56 by Zugmaschine, Jun 7. 2019, 21:45
Used 2.5% Vanilla Swirl, because had no TPA Sweet Cream. Also made the sweetener down to 0.5%. After 10 days, a really nice Twinkle. Thanks for te recipe.
#57 by jayquik03, Mar 26. 2020, 15:52
1% is the way to go for sweetener on this in my opinion. Still super sweet.
#58 by HJQuinzel, Jun 23. 2020, 23:52
Reduced the sweetener to 1%, but great stuff! Would work great with fruits.
#59 by Draco707, Jul 6. 2021, 09:10
Made this in 70/30 2mg
Fantastic recipe
Added in .30 super sweet instead of sucralose and it shines like a superstar
Thanks for the great recipe.
#60 by oldman82, Nov 13. 2021, 23:52
Good one and works out a lot cheaper than that over-priced Twinkie branded concentrate.
#61 by Apathy, Feb 3. 2022, 00:32
Anyone know who arnie is?
#62 by BallSackBishop, Jul 8. 2023, 04:44
Just mixed this up and shook for about 10min. Its great straight of the shake so I know it will only get better with age. Puffing on it now with a coffee and its fantastic 👏
#63 by BallSackBishop, Jul 8. 2023, 04:46
Definitely a creamy sponge cake. Awesome recipe Annie! 5 Stars
#64 by BallSackBishop, Jul 9. 2023, 06:49
Made a 30ml just over 24hours ago and only have 10mls left! Can't stop vaping it so I just made another 60mls. So good! Was really craving a good cakey recipe
