Hi Chris, very interesting indeed. I'll mix this up right away to compare with how I've been mixing the #71. I'll let you know in here. Many thx :)
Coconut (CAP) 1%
Juicy Peach (CAP) 1.25%
Sugar Cookie (CAP) 1%
Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%
Sweet Tangerine (CAP) 0.75%
Yellow Peach (CAP) 4.5%
Do pay attention to the caveat in ELR to the Specific Gravity of Yellow Peach (CAP), it's entered at 0.870 g/ml which should be 1.02 - 1.05. Just something to keep in the back of your mind.
All the best,
Screwdriver
Very smooth and delicious ADV!!! I can highly recommend this one!!!
Now I see why you were so happy and excited in the video Chris. One that will be in my rotation for sure. Chapeau Chris, chapeau! (Hat off to you Chris)
Click the little blue wrench up the top above the recipe and choose ,adapt this. Then make the changes I suggested and the calculator will work it out for you.
Hi DiYVapour - great job with the fruity notes, but sniffing the 71 side by side (I just made a batch) I think we're missing a vanilla/doughy element from the recipe. (Unless these flavours develop from steeping) unfortunately I don't have any of these flavours to try it out now....
at what percentage you use your CAP super sweet? mine does not burn my coils. try to minimize the super sweet if you are using at higher percentage. i just followed the percentages on this mix and it's good does not burn my coil also.
I've left this to steep for a few weeks coming back occasionally, but I'm afraid IMHO is isn't close to the #71 - of course everyone's taste is subjective, but from the #71, I get mellow rich peach (some say apricot/pear) + sweet/sour + buttery/creamy exhale from #71. I think the peach here is too acidic fruity (although the tangerine is going in the right direction maybe) the acid too strong and needs to be softened by buttery/creamy. I've ordered some different peaches to see if I can do better 😂
I'm just starting out in diy and after mixing six of The so called popular recipes, all of them got dumped down the drain and (yours) has been my only success story.Although I have Never tried beard 71 so I Cant comment How Close you to THe orignal, but whatever u did here is just right for me and my taste buds....I just made a big batch of this as I ran out of my tester...good job buddy cause I was starting to lose hope that I couldn't find anything that worked for me and Bam this one comes out of left field...awesome
Browsing the internet for reviews for the original, I stumbled upon this gem of a diy ejuice, and figured I had to try it before I bought the original. Will get the missing peach flavors in tomorrow, so here's to hoping that this one will be the one to end my eternal search for the unnatainable diy peach that's too delicious to put down.
Just mixed a 30 ml of this, and I can already tell after a few pulls that I should have just mixed up a 100 ml. This is absolutely delicious! Great job, op!
Made exactly as described. I agree with Brett, overall the flavor is too acidic compared to the original, Next time I will drop the TFA Sour as I feel it mutes a lot of the flavor over time and hoping it will be less acidic. If that doesn't do the trick I will try to experiment with adding TFA juicy peach to round out the peach a little more.
I had really high hopes for this one and the smell is really spot on with the original. Unfortunately the flavor isn't close enough to stop buying the original for me personally.
Great recipe. Your hard work paid off, big time. I mixed this up a couple weeks ago and it's great. I hadn't made it in over a year but I don't remember it being this good! Great job Chris. Hope to see you back soon.
Bang on Chris, and I am a great lover of the 71. If the VAST majority of mixers concur, then you have it mate. Just ignore the occasional sufferer of the 'little green eyed monster', you are a master mixer man;)
