A Sweet and Buttery White Pound Cake, Topped With Sticky Caramel Toffee.
Another way to achieve that buttery bliss is by using 1.50% TPA Vanilla Custard in place of Butter Cream (CAP). TPA Vanilla Custard is is buttery and luscious when using as a mixer, although doesn't quite have thickness of other custards. I get that for some, Pound Cake comes off as odd tasting, but under 1% can really spruce up a an airy, fluffy cake, and turn it into a dense, moist and buttery cake. As for the other oddity in the Flavorah line, Crunch Cereal, there is no taming that one...blech.
After a good 15-20 Day Steep, this is the best Pound Cake recipe I have ever made, at current percentage, the Pound Cake FLV is perfect, doesn't overwhelm, but still provides a sweet, buttery background. This recipe is massively buttery and cakey, exactly how I wanted it.
Aug 25: Edit- Took White Cake down just a smidge 5 to 4.75% and raised Pound Cake to 0.85%, just because the Pound Cake worked so incredibly well with all the other flavors. A 20 Day steep is perfect here, but it is bang on at 15 days as well.
You would definitely likep the Chocolate Cream Cake, I know you like chocolate and that is a good one, tastes like a dark chocolate cream. Based on their own version of Waffle, I'm not too keen on trying Waffle Cone, but it may be better and more sugar-like than I imagine. I'm curious to try their Malt though, it is simply Malt instead of Malted Milk, so without dairy and more barley flavor, I bet it would have a ton of potential.
hello SilhoueTte,
would like to try this one , it must be very good
I have all flavors except the Caramel Toffee pfff....
I guess it's impossible to find a sub for it ?
what you think ?
Lola, I've actually been wrestling with how to answer from the the other recipe, and I am almost at a loss. I have tried to contact Hangsen about the availability of Caramel Toffee in the UK for other users on the forum with no luck. I don't think I can replicate its flavor with other concentrates, but I can tell you my favorite stand-in flavors. FLV Caramel is definitely my second favorite Caramel, and I think if it were combined with a semi-pungent cream, it may taste similar to Caramel Toffee. That's not to say it needs it, if you want to do this recipe with simply FLV Caramel as a sub, that would work beautifully too. If you have a strong Cream, and use it at a 2:1 ratio, it may be similar, but I would simply use 1% FLV Caramel in this recipe. If you really want to try, maybe HS Italian Cream or CAP NY Cheesecake + FLV Caramel would get the flavor slightly closer to Caramel Toffee. Hope this helps. ๐ค
yes it helps Silhouette, I will try with caramel flv as I have it ,
and will also a combo of caramel flv + NYcheese (I don't have Italian cream )
I will use caramel flv at your others recipies using caramel toffee,
as I have no other choice, I hope Hangsen flavours will be available soon in UK .
I really thank you for the help Silhouette, you're an angel you know !
gros bisous
