The Triple Threat, Caramel/Tobacco/Vanilla. This was my play on Tribeca with a few differences such as lower AP, and the exclusion of EM. Using RY4 HS as it is a complex, deliciously sweet take on a classic flavor and melds with RY4D beautifully. I normally use Bourbon Vanilla in my Tobacco recipes, but wanted a little less sharp of a vanilla for this. Caramel Candy is one of my guilty pleasure caramels, sweet and buttery, like a hard candy caramel. I mainly like to use Caramel Toffee (HS) in alot of my tobacco recipes as well, as it is luscious and condensed, although wanted more of a one dimensional caramel here. Any caramel you prefer is great in this, but a tasty substitution is Creamy Hazelnut at 1%, instead of Caramel Candy. 0.5% Caramel Candy may look like a small amount, but it is quite strong compared to other Flavor West flavors, and half a percentage really balances the mix better than a higher percentage.
This was kind of my play on Tribeca, only using different ingredients. Original Caramel would work perfectly, the FW Caramel Candy is honestly just a sweeter, almost hard-candy, slightly buttery caramel. I just adapted the normal ingredients more to my liking, and also did not include EM, as I mostly avoid using it.
Guts Rage & David, the HS RY4 is so worth it, I have bought FA, INW and they don't even come close to that of the Hangsen version, it's sort of similar in flavor to RY4D, but with a very up front and realistic brown sugar and sweet caramel, though it is quite light on the Vanilla. RY4D will always be in a league of it's own, but the Hangsen boosts it's flavor tenfold. Bull City has the 10ml right now, and they are normally out of that size as it goes quickly. I guarantee you will enjoy it! โบ
Did you get the Hangsen RY4? It smells phenomenal out of the bottle, although make sure you shake it good, its consistency is a little thicker than other flavors. I should have gotten a huge bottle, because once you use it, it's like 'where has this been all my life?' I hope you enjoy, it certainly is one of my favorites. You should try also, mixing this at maybe 10-15ml using just Hangsen @ 4% as the sole tobacco flavoring, and try at 7 days, something about the way HS RY4 melds with Acetyl Pyrazine makes for a really flavorful vape.
Just wanted to let you know this has become the best tobacco mix for me of all time. I will continue mixing it as is. BUT!!! I have 750ml of vg that steeped in an oak barrel for 6 weeks and has imparted some of the previous contents of Bourbon Street essence into it. I am going to make up a batch of your recipe with that. I am going to name it Amber if it works and will be a very limited first run.
That sounds like an awesome idea! Man, I bet that will be good. Go for it, I bet it will taste 10x better with the residual Oak & Bourbon infused into it. Let me know how that turns out, I bet it will be amazing ๐.
@Silhouette just ordered the Hangsen Ry4 because of your rave about it on the threads and I love Ry4D. Can't wait to try this. Any recommendations for a sub for the Madagascar Vanilla? I have a lot of Vanillas.
If you have a simple vanilla, or a vanilla that is not fruity or dark flavored that will do perfectly. I was mainly going for a pure vanilla that wouldn't conflict with the Caramel Candy, as it's already sweet and sugary itself. Its such an easy RY to work with, it tastes good with multiple flavors, or even as a single flavor. Let me know how you like it ๐.
Yeah sure, I love using Vanillin, just do it at 1% instead of 1.5%, so it doesn't dull any flavors over time. Vanillin goes really nice with HS RY4, I use it in my Sweet Leaf.
No prob BLM, sorry I got to this late, I always tend to miss notifications for the email used with ELR. I hope ya like it, definitely come back and let me know what you think when you get to it ๐.
Thanks Stafylidis, your Candybecca was just as much inspiration for this as my own palate, and thanks to you and some of the other users I finally tried tobacco flavors I never thought I would. Y'all have been a great help over this past year. โบ
This looks awesome...gonna try a spin off...don't have some of the flavors...I'm in total agreement about RY4 HS...so excellent! Just ordered up a bigger bottle! 10ml went way too fast! Thanks for the share.
Hey Silhouette... nice recipe, I've vapped probably 300 or 400 mls of it, a few times I've changed up a couple smaller batches with items like Nut Brittle or things like Black Label French Vanilla (SC) and/or French Vanilla Deluxe (TPA), but liked how you formed up the recipe better each time. One thing I did change up and seems to work very nicely (and I will probably redo again) was drop the RY4 Double down to 3% and add Sweet Tobacco (Purilum) at 1.5% into the mix, for my pallet the sweetness worked well. Thanks for the recipe, I've really been enjoying it on a daily basis...
Tut, it's crazy that you say that because my mixes that I have been using alot of are Sweet Tobacco at 1.5% with HS RY4 and French Vanilla Deluxe, just sometimes a different profile flavor like Butter Pecan or Maple. It's simple to whip up, but there's so many variations to keep it fresh. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to make the Trifecta like you have doing, I'm betting I would really like it as well.
Eh, the Hangsen Ry4 is kind of in a league of its own, but there are other flavors that would still be good here like Holy Grail, or even just a lighter tobacco, like a Virginia, something leafy instead of dark or aromatic. What other Tobacco's do you have currently?
Hmmm, need to try this one - just for HS ry4. 4oz sitting in the fridge since tried some variations of Capone on my own. Hangsen's flavour is so powerful it should be used only in combo with softer tobaccos, at least for my taste. Just vaping on David's sweet Boker Tov enreached by UK Bestcig's Captain Jack natural tobacco leaves juice, they melt so good together. I especially ordered Hangsen's RY4 in order to make my Boker which works perfectly with Black honey, tiramisu and catalan cream. David however has not reported about steeping this Trifecta in his oak barrel? For me the best tobacco juices I've tried remain the Malaysia's Nasty Silver and Captain Jack. No DIY recipe comes even close. But, well, let's see how this Trifecta works... going to mix it right now.
