Probably my favorite in the Dark Project series. This is good to go right after it settles out for a heat steep of five hours and a vigorous shaking until milky. It's so much better the next day and only gets better.
Your coffee recipe would be nice to see also. This look wonderful but if I go put say FA's expresso in there it could be off tasting ( which I'm doubtful wouldn't even have to change ratios it looks like. ) so if you did use a certain coffe would you please let me know. I'll try your juices and let them steep.
Thanks Amy. Right after I posted I realized I didn't put the DIY coffee recipe in the description. It's now included. You could make this without the DIY coffee. It's still good, I felt the coffee in the Tiramisu need a little kick. ;)
Wow sounds like I'd want to drink that after a few hours of simmering ☺️ But I won't. Lol. Ok thank you very much. These look great and you seemed to put a lot of time and effort into them.
Another thing to mention, WHAT?NOW? ya I know:) Until it sits for awhile and steeps for a bit the coffee can be a little off putting vapor smell wise. Just let it sit, it'll mellow out.
I went ahead and used a premade concentrate ( Kona cream NF) I like this coffee flavor a lot and feel it and the tiramisu will be fine in the recipe. One of my favorites has the two together so in looking forward to this one steeping. I know it'll take some time but it's totally worth it.
Thanks Amy, I'd like your opinion.I would guess any coffee flavor that appeals to you would be just fine. The only reason that I used DIY coffee was because I didn't have another coffee flavor around and always wanted to try and make some. It actually turned out pretty good.
I'll let ya know how it goes. I'll probably give this one around a 2-3 week steep. I like it when the acidity in the coffee chills out and finally melds w/ the other flavors. If u taste it too soon you miss out on that and coffee will dominate the batch.
scent wise, its seems like it may be getting time to try this one....I love coffee juices. heck I love coffee ! now the Viktoria and Basso we longer steeps right?
Hey Amy, I think VR needs steep time because of the Milkstone, unless you really like the strong coconut flavor. Basso's Bananas needs a couple of days to a week to develop depending on how you feel about the Banana. I find it tastes better after a week, but that's just me. I'm curious what you think about Benny's Breakfast. Don't feel as if you have to stick to the exact recipe. I've made it with a lot more caramel candy and it was good, I've made it more often than not without the added DIY coffee. It's sweet, but it's also sort of, um savory? I know it's not a flavor everyone enjoys. It tanks well, but I usually drip it.
I stuck w/ everything as is outside of the DIY coffee I placed FA expresso that is why it has been steeping since the 21st of last month as well as the other 2 just didn't know when I should try them. Thank you for your response. I give them a try over the next couple of days and let ya know !
I tried this one this morning. Made it on 8/21 and put FA expresso in place of your DIY and let it steep after 4 hr crock pot bath and shook when I could. Delicious than you I keep expecting peanut butter every I smell it lol the coffee is compliemented very well w/ the caramel and chocolate and cream MMMhhh Thank you !
Those DIY Coffee instructions are awesome! So basically, you're just brewing coffee in PG, right? Does the PG evaporate as you go, or just the water around it? I'm mixing this recipe just so I can try that out. Thanks for the inspiration!
