Notes
🔸Adapted Sweet Leaf Tobacco (EZ RY)
🔸Sweet Vanilla and Hazelnut Profile
🔸1-2 Drops Purilum Super Sweet Really Makes this Shine

This is a pretty heavy vanilla and light cream tobacco. I don't know why this is my favorite mix, but it is. It's pretty darn sweet, and heavy on the vanilla and hazelnut flavor, but I love it. It definitely tastes more like a dessert or ice cream rather than straight up tobacco, and this probably will not appeal to someone who likes strong or ashy tobacco flavors. I make this more than any other mix, there is always a huge bottle in my cabinet. It's not even really complex, but damn it's satisfying. French Vanilla Deluxe TPA is potent, over 2% creates a buttery vanilla, mildy creamy, almost custard like flavor. It doesn't have any egginess, and it isn't a heavy cream. The taste is comparable to TPA Vanilla Custard minus the peppery notes. It's much stronger than TPA Vanilla Custard though. FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is simply to add a clean vanilla, and is usually where I would use Vanillin, but I love what it adds here.

This is a super simple mix, not a whole lot of flavors, but the end result is just delicious.

• RY4 is a great way to try out a tobacco flavor, even if you don't quite find it appealing. RY4 Double is a great complement flavor to so many recipes, as it's slight dryness and heavy caramel are so easy to work with, it makes for a highly versatile flavor and the combinations are endless. RY4 TDM Inawera is a good flavor, but to me the leafy aspect blasts it's way through to the point of being almost cherry-like, and it's hard to incorporate other creams and vanilla flavors as it is so dominating. RY4 FA to me is just too sharp, which is a shame because I like other FA Tobacco flavors such as Soho and Glory, but the RY4 has an off taste to me, like a strong permanent marker, time did not make it more appealing either. RY4 HS is sweet and leafy, and as they use natural extraction it is labeled as an essence rather than a flavor concentrate. It is dessert like without really trying, not earthy or dry, or even grassy. It also complements RY4 Double in recipes, adding a leafy sweet flavor, and it's clean vanilla flavor boosts where Double is lacking.

Is there an adequate sub for the french vanilla deluxe?
#4 by Silhouette , Dec 13. 2017, 04:41
Robin, I haven't quite found a Vanilla that carries the same potency of French Vanilla Deluxe, but French Vanilla Creme is supposed to be like the DX version of it, just lacking Custard notes. If you don't have that, it is similar in flavor to TPA Vanilla Custard, it's just much more potent, and sweeter. I've only found French Vanilla Deluxe at Nicotine River, and it has become one of my favorites. You could try LB Vanilla Ice Cream, I always thought it tastes pretty similar to FV Deluxe as well. Thanks for letting me know Robin, I'm so glad you like my recipes! If you want, let me know what vanilla you have, and I can help.

I added it to my shopping list. I forgot to get it during the black friday sales. I have Holy vanilla, tpa and cap custard. Also milky undertone ,cap french vanilla , LB ice cream and fresh cream

Wow, OK that helps. Hmm, this could be good a couple of ways. You could do 1% Holy Vanilla with 2% TPA Vanilla Custard, or 2% LB Vanilla Ice Cream and 1% Milky Undertone. Heck, even 2% LB Vanilla Ice Cream and 0.75% Holy Vanilla.
The FVD is really buttery as well, so whatever flavors you have that mimic a buttery taste will work really well here. LB Ice Cream and TPA Custard are both quite buttery, so a combo of one of those, plus your favorite vanilla would work splendidly, it's up to you, I'm sure whatever you decide on will be scrumptious!

Can I ask how long to steep this?
#8 by Silhouette , Dec 22. 2017, 01:01
Lexie, that's up to you, I can use this after 7 days and be totally happy with it, but it's properly steeped when it starts to turn a slight peach color, which is around 15-20 days.

@lexie next time you could leave about 20% and seed steep it. I've tried it out and it works great to steep much faster!!
