A perfect chocolate glazed doughnut recipe. The kind of doughnut that you would buy at bakery, and not an Entenmann's doughnut. This is the best doughnut e-juice I have ever had. Tastes much better than the Doughboys E-juice as this recipe is much sweeter, fuller, and refined. A very simple mix, if you have the ingredients, and a great vape in the morning with coffee.

try adding some light cinnamon notes. ive made a very similar donut flavor and the light cinnamon gives it the crunchy/bakery note i was looking for. Just a suggestion for ya!
#2 by bigolbear, Aug 1. 2015, 06:48
Mixed this up on 7/24/2015 exactly to the recipe except I made 100ml. I mix by weight. It has steeped for 1 week. I can taste doughnut but the chocolate is very very faint. Good smooth vape but a little too doughy for me. If I mix this again I might try to add some TFA Double Chocolate to boost that glaze and lower the CGD. I will let it sit for a couple more weeks to see if the chocolate will break through.
#3 by KeggsNA, Aug 6. 2015, 04:15
This one is fantastic! Tastes exactly like a Chocolate glazed donut. Might experiment with some AP or INW Biscuit because the dough tastes a little soft and not quite cooked 100% but this is still a fantastic vape!

what about substituting the CAP chocolate glazed doughnut with reg CAP glazed doughnut?
#5 by garrett, Aug 20. 2015, 22:41
This is the best recipe I have tried to date. Holy cow! you can clearly taste the donut, the chocolate glaze, and that doughnut grease on the finish. truly brilliant. Thanks!
#6 by eezel4801, Aug 24. 2015, 19:13
Yes!! Found this while watching you on youtube !!Cool!!
#7 by eezel4801, Sep 8. 2015, 19:52
Cant find these flavors ANYWHERE except for Capellas Frosted donut..
#8 by Ohm_Sweet_Ohm, Sep 11. 2015, 02:04
Good recipe but to me it does not live to the hype it is dry maybe some sweet cream or marshmallow to smooth it out.
#9 by mjag, Sep 11. 2015, 20:04
@eezel4801 you can find the flavors at http://www.bullcityvapor.com/ the website is down right now for maintenance until 9-12-15 though

#13 by Darkon, Sep 18. 2015, 03:44
Amazing recipe ENYAWREKLAW! I made a couple adjustments to suit my own tastes but I'm sure that's all a part of the beauty of a simple recipe- space to improvise freely. Thank you!
#14 by core, Sep 20. 2015, 07:36
Great recipe. Strong bold flavor. I'd vape it all day but the chocolate is quite rough on the throat.
#15 by BIGDADDY7163, Sep 25. 2015, 16:28
Replaced the chocolate glazed donut with glazed donut. And added 2% billberry(FA). Makes a wonderfull blueberry glazed donut.
#16 by Kebabzi, Sep 25. 2015, 16:36
Can you replace the chocolate glazed donut with straight glazed donut?
#17 by BIGDADDY7163, Sep 25. 2015, 17:06
I did. Works good.
#18 by Dio, Sep 27. 2015, 22:55

Many thanks Bro!

Add 2% Bavarian Cream for the boston creme variation
#20 by GobbleThisObelisk, Oct 2. 2015, 07:14
This is really delicious, surprisingly accurate.

It feels a bit 'scratchy' on my throat though... anyone have an idea what could be causing that?
#21 by Kebabzi, Oct 7. 2015, 11:49
Mixed this. Don't like it one bit. Taste like stale chocolate bread/cookie. Doesn't have any dough-notes.
#22 by rohin7, Oct 18. 2015, 18:11
Good recipe. I feel like it could use some more work though. As Kebabzi mentioned above it does taste stale and not like a fresh donut
#23 by eezel4801, Oct 18. 2015, 18:59
BEST DONUT EVER IS MFN DONUT...Ive tried glazed and Choc Glazed...OMG SOOO good.!!! This recipie compared To MFN with mfn being 100 this ranks about a 50 - 60...if you havent tried it youve got to...Mfn donut.com....i dont work for them or anything .just a very very satisfied customer!
#24 by eezel4801, Nov 11. 2015, 23:37

#25 by eezel4801, Nov 11. 2015, 23:43
@Frumpie..you get fat eating donuts not vaping them haha...I do eat like a horse though..just don't gain weight..I can eat as much as I want I make muscle not fat!!
#26 by iLLNESS, Nov 23. 2015, 23:00
Finally got a chance to DIY this and ohh man is this some amazing stuff! The only thing this recipe lacks is something to chew on.
#27 by Regulus49001, Nov 27. 2015, 07:12
Dig this recipe. I added another ml of chocolate glazed donut to my 120ml
#28 by eezel4801, Dec 2. 2015, 07:48
frumpie must have changed his name to cereal vapist cause I dont weigh over 300 lbs...now he is embarrassed that he is wrong after reading my reply ...he changed his name...from Frumpie to Cereal vapist...what a clown!!
#29 by Big_Fat_Donuts, Dec 2. 2015, 19:59
Unbelieveable! I agree, this guy is an absolute clown. We should start a thread on the forums so people know to watch out for this name changer. He is probably so embarrassed that he will never post again.
#30 by eezel4801, Dec 2. 2015, 23:17
Big-Fat-Donuts you're too funny...Im glad some people still have a sense of humor ...anyway I hope he isnt that embarrased as to never post again..I tried a couple of his recipes..theyre pretty good..lol
#31 by Clonemaster, Dec 23. 2015, 19:09
Toned the donut down to 6.9 and upped yellow cake to 1.1. Tastes just like those little hostes chocolate donuts that come in an 8 pack at the store. Solid recipe! Love it. Thanx Enya!!
#32 by Stoney553, Dec 26. 2015, 03:11
Very Nice Recipe! Ive keep making only 30 ml batches because Im afraid im gonna get tired of it quick. I already made 7-30 ml batches and still going. Great Job Wayne!
#33 by Ctheseicecreams, Dec 26. 2015, 06:35
Is it me or are you guys also getting a faint coconut taste? I let my mom taste it and didn't tell her what it was and she mentioned coconut also.
#34 by Stoney553, Dec 26. 2015, 20:20
I don't taste or smell coconut at all but I will say that when I had a bottle of it on me, I gave it to my sister telling her to smell it and without saying anything to me she asked if it was coconut. Some people just pick up on different things. That's why taste is so subjective.
#35 by eezel4801, Dec 27. 2015, 07:19
I don't taste or smell coconut...I smell and taste a strong artificial chocolate. Which after buying 3 bottles from Capella's is still a bit harsh...I bought 3 bottles thinking they may have been on the shelf too long...but all 3 batches are pretty much the same...I'm gonna cut down on the amount next batch..and if it's still the same cut the Choc. out completely and just try the glazed donut flavoring..I know there is potential for this recipe!
#36 by heliontide, Dec 29. 2015, 00:35
Just whipped up 60ml's of this juice, and the flavour is spot on. Was pleasantly surprised by this, as I'm not a huge chocolate fan when it comes to vapes. Excellent flavour so far. Going to come back to this in a few days and see how it is!
#37 by WhiteOutt, Dec 29. 2015, 00:56
Pretty good so far! Just mixed it up and it had a lot of throat hit for some reason. Maybe I'm just used to vaping higher vg, no idea. Other than that, really good flavor right off the bat. Can't wait to see what it's like in a day or two!
#38 by IcedCloud, Jan 2. 2016, 18:21
i cant find in europe the Cake (Yellow) (FW) what can i put instead of that??
#39 by Ctheseicecreams, Jan 2. 2016, 22:13
I think the chocolate is giving off the throat hit. After a few days it smooths out
#40 by cerevisaphile87, Jan 2. 2016, 22:32
This mix wasn't for me. It certainly tastes like a chocolate glazed doughnut, but I seem to get sick of the flavor very quick. I know this recipe has a huge following, but I really wasn't a fan.
#41 by cerevisaphile87, Jan 2. 2016, 22:32

#42 by RuntDastardly, Jan 4. 2016, 00:42
It took me forever to finally mix this one up, because one or another ingredient was always out of stock whenever I was placing a flavor order. I didn't really sweat it, though, because I've never been very enthusastic about chocolate vapes. They've always tasted like potting soil to me. Anyway, I mixed some up today, and just wanted to stop by and say thanks for this recipe. It's the first chocolate vape I've ever truly loved. Delicious!
#43 by 87f, Jan 7. 2016, 00:07
This stuff is pretty damn good man, thanks!
And for people looking for ingredients, Gremlin DIY site has them all separate or you can buy them bundled.
One thing I noticed was that on a .45 ohm dual twisted coil in an RDA, I tasted almost all chocolate and no donut, but in my TFV4 with like 11 wraps of 24 gauge it really shined as a chocolate donut.
#44 by The Vaporchaser, Jan 11. 2016, 22:33
What flavor is "joy"?
#45 by probywan, Jan 15. 2016, 20:53
@The Vaporchaser "Joy" isn't a flavor really, it's an additive. It's supposed to give the mix a doughy type flavor/consistency (afaik)
#46 by m4rtian, Jan 30. 2016, 12:58
I made 30ml last night for the first time and decided to wait till my current tank of juice was gone before sampling. Woke up this morning with a stinking cold so I can't taste anything. Should not have waited....
#47 by Kristian.Lavik, Feb 5. 2016, 15:27
Rigth after I made this, what I taste is dark chocolate and a mellow donut flavour thats not so promenant. But it tastes amazing anyway (y) and after i let it steep some time i expect it to taste even better! Nice work Wayne! What i know is that if you add about 2% of Inawera Milk Chocolate the chocolate flavor will be a little bit more like the real thing (tested it).
#48 by John-King-200985, Feb 11. 2016, 08:21
Very good recipe!! A definate must try! Af first mix defiantly strong dark chocolate flavour with tones of dohnuts. Added 1% Vienna cream(FA) to slightly tone down the strong chocolate flavour to a more milk chocolate, day 4 dohnut flavour more prominent. Many of the choc vapes I've tryed and mixed tasted cheap, pound shop drinking choc, carbourdish after tones, but this doesn't taste cheap at all. Very strong and rich, definate all day vape imo with Vienna or other quality cream added. Eg Bavarian cream(TPA) buttery tones.. Cream fresh(FA). Whipped cream.. Etc..
#49 by Jonathan Clifton, Feb 14. 2016, 18:00
Could I replace chocolate with normal glazed donut ? Maybe add blueberry or strawberry in? Thanks
#50 by S4MMYD, Mar 2. 2016, 15:47
I typically hate chocolate vapes but this business is smooth and satisfying.
#51 by Darkon, Mar 3. 2016, 13:13
I still absolutely love this flavor and make tweaks to it constantly. I've found though it is reallllllly hard to mess up.

I do find myself adding a hint more Joy to the mix though, adding about .5ml of either Double Chocolate (TPA), and about 10 drops of Vienna Cream (FA) per 30ml.

I can't quite isolate what exactly causes the excessive "gunking" of the coils though with this recipe. I thought it was specifically cake yellow but have omitted the flavor in certain batches but still experience the issue. This occurs with all variations I've made so I can only assume CGD may be the culprit. Thick black tar that solidifies quickly and gives every hit after the first a strong ashy tone. I rarely make it through one 30ml bottle before having to change out my cotton.
#52 by Xith, Mar 3. 2016, 13:39
@IcedCloud Check valiant2vape.co.uk, they currently sell Yellow Cake - FW for 1 GBP per 10 ml, they ship to europe for 8 GBP (atleast, they did to the netherlands for me)... When I ordered 2 weeks ago there was a 15% discount with '15OFF' from a certain order size...
#53 by ReddingMixes, Mar 7. 2016, 02:54
The chocolate has a weird flavor. I added .5ml Bavarian Cream after mixing. Next time I will probably mix it up with Glazed Donut instead
#54 by sampleit, Mar 18. 2016, 20:23
@darkon its the chocolate thats gunning your coils!!!!
#55 by inutopia, Mar 21. 2016, 08:35
I made up a tester of this 10ml. On the day I made it, it was perfect. But after 4-5 days steep the chocolate has taken over and the wonderful greasy doughnut flavour has faded. I wish it was still there :(
#56 by Fry, Mar 22. 2016, 00:48
This is soooo much better if you let it steep for a couple weeks!! The flavor turns extremely smooth!!! It's still great with no steep but DAMN it's gets better with time!!!
#57 by jedapearl, Mar 22. 2016, 10:08
I made a batch with 0mg nicotine and it was delicious so I made an identical batch but with 3mg nicotine and it was really dry/harsh. I'm brand new to DIY so maybe that's just how nicotine is until it airs out a bit or something? I guess time will tell!
#58 by Newbie Vaper, Apr 1. 2016, 22:28
I was really excited to try this recipe so I ordered all the flavors. Sadly after trying it for the first time it has a strong taste of play-doh on the exhale. I let it steep for a week and still that same taste is there. Any suggestions?
#59 by JoshTruscott, Apr 7. 2016, 08:37
found this flavour to be much better for mouth to lung vaping, found that direct lungs with this 1 not as pleasant and makes my throat tingle and causes me to cough.
#60 by DanHank, Apr 10. 2016, 21:52
Amazing recipe wayne! You are a natural at mixing and know how flavors work together. I've learned so much from you. I look at diy differently and approach my mixes in a new way thanks to you. Keep up the great man. Thank You!
#61 by Mike, Apr 12. 2016, 05:04
Made this exact recipe by weight. This is a chocolate glazed donut spot on. The corner donut shop style, not a prepackaged type. Thanks for all of your hard work Wayne...DIYORDIE!!
#62 by eezel4801, Apr 14. 2016, 01:56
You can tweak this recipe in SOO many different ways Using creams, Different chocolate flavoring or even subbing fruit for chocolate. You really CANT screw it up!! Try some of Wayne's other recipes theyre pretty much ALL good..The man is a vaping D.I.Y. GENIUS..Thank you Wayne!!
#63 by Mindfak, Apr 19. 2016, 21:49
I made 10ml of the Boston Cream Bronut version with 2% Bavarian Cream.
Does it have to steep (much) longer because of the Bavarian Cream.
If so how long do you recommend?
#64 by DanHank, Apr 20. 2016, 00:55
All juices needs 2 weeks to mature. Creams can take longer up to a month.
#65 by lechevn, Apr 21. 2016, 16:41
Got the concentrate to this recipe from Chefs Vapours, tried it and I can say this is definitely the best donut taste I've had from a vape. Really tasty stuff, and it goes really well will coffee as mentioned. 5 stars from me.
#66 by Debbiej, Apr 27. 2016, 07:25
This juice is great. Love it! Best choc vape yet!
#67 by Castaway, Apr 29. 2016, 04:22
From my first puff I said it's like the little gas station donuts. Like Mickey's donuts. Waxy frosting and all Nice!!
#68 by LifeIsGood, Apr 29. 2016, 23:16
can i replace the (FW)yellow cake w/ (CAP) vanilla cupcake??
can't really find any FW flavouring here in my country
TFA , capella , inawera and flavour art are the only good flavouring here...
#69 by Mammo, May 1. 2016, 15:18
Hi guys

Can i substitute the Chocolate Glazed Doughnut (CAP) for :-

Double Chocolate v2 (Cap) +
Frosted Donut (TPA)

what percentages would you recomend?
#70 by Fuzzy, May 1. 2016, 20:36
please help i mixed this up but lowered the doughnut to 5% and added 2% tfa bavarian cream, @ 70vg 30pg but i dont get intense flavor although it smells amazing. can anyone help?
#71 by eezel4801, May 2. 2016, 18:26
@ Fuzzy Have you tryed mixing the recipe as it is written ? THEN tweak it to your personal taste..I have mixed this numerous ways but after mixing as directed...Creams need a good while to steep and in this case it mellows out the chocolate a bit.
#72 by Fuzzy, May 3. 2016, 18:48
@eezel4801 Thanks for the reply. I new at mixing so i mixed a 100ml right away, but i have mixed it exactly like the written recipe but still no intense flavor, any advise how to tweak the flavor to be more intense?
#73 by eezel4801, May 3. 2016, 19:52
To give juice more flavor use more PG and less VG But that will also give you more of a throat hit..But using more PG in a miw definitely intensifies the flavor.
#74 by Fuzzy, May 3. 2016, 23:16
ive tried juices at 70/30 and the flavor is intense but i cant seem to mix mine to the same intense flavor, Thanks il try more maybe 60/40
#75 by JoshTruscott, May 4. 2016, 06:28
Shake the shit out of this if ure getting harshness, seriously, i mean if u have a mini blender chuck this stuff in!
#76 by eezel4801, May 4. 2016, 06:53
Fuzzy also if you use a tank or a dripper AND what type of dripper all affect flavor...Even try adding a little more % to the mix..like another 1 % of chocolate..You really just have to experiment ....
#77 by CloudGirl, May 5. 2016, 01:02
Mixed this up yesterday at 30 ml/6mg nic and otherwise as written (no bavarian cream). After a quick shake I realized this was going to be better than anything I've paid for in a "premium" juice ever ever EVER so I doubled down to 60 ml. I should have done 120 ml! I couldn't wait to try it with a coffee pairing but I did this morning and HOLY hell this is the SHIT. If you're getting harshness check the age and quality of the nic and other ingredients. All I'm getting is creamy, chocolaty, glaze dipped fried goodness.
#78 by Fuzzy, May 5. 2016, 18:27
@eezrl4801 im using the cruis v3 with rx200 duel ss coils on tc. Im not at all getting harsh flavor its more like weak flavor to no flavor and i cant understand why :( i tried rewicking but the i get nice flavor then it starts fading away after about the 2nd pull
#79 by eezel4801, May 5. 2016, 19:32
Fuzzy yeah I know someone else mentioned harshness ..I would maybe try a little more chocolate Flavoring ?? OR up everything a bit in the correct ratio...Personally I would up the chocolate 1st..not alot do it gradually in small amounts..Write everything down so if and when you do get it the way you like it you'll be able to do it again..
#80 by thatfedexguy85, May 8. 2016, 07:49
Steeped for two days and now it's amazing! Can't wait to mix up some Misty when my flavors get here! Thanks Wayne!!
#81 by FogLasH, May 12. 2016, 11:52
Gotta try this with Glazed Doughnut since I dont like chocolate. good job bro!!
#82 by Rudolph, May 16. 2016, 07:45
Really digging this liquid. I'm about to make 120ml now, having blown through the 10 and having almost killed the 30 I made a few days ago.
I've also been noodling with adding some peppermint, and coconut too. So many possibilities of add-ins beyond just bavarian cream!
Thanks! This is the first DIY juice to make it into full rotation (well, after my own menthol, but that hardly counts as a recipe)
#83 by bronxnino, May 17. 2016, 14:24
Awesome! I just made 120ml of this shit! Keep it up!
#84 by criminalzen , May 23. 2016, 20:12
"a great vape in the morning with coffee" .. absolutely, and the darker the coffee (I drink espresso) the better the taste of the juice for me...
#85 by paper_boat, May 27. 2016, 19:23
This is barely vapeable for me. Even after a long steep...it is harsh and tastes like the terrible sugar-free candy chocolate bought from the dollar store. I wonder if something is wrong with the flavors I bought...
#86 by CloudGirl, May 27. 2016, 22:19
@paper_boat - something is definitely wrong somewhere because this required zero steep time for me to be delicious. It did taste more full and the flavors had more character after about 24 hours however there was nothing sugar free candy tasting about this for me.
#87 by navster, Jun 2. 2016, 06:01
Does this receipe taste as good if i use max VG ??

Choc glazed doughnut or w/e it was sold out on the website I get my concentrates from so just got Glazed doughnut & TPA double choc (clear)... Amazing. Substituted for 4% of each.
#90 by hivemind, Jun 8. 2016, 20:04
all I have is Frosted Donut TPA so I'll give that a whirl. I suspect it'll be quite different but meh.
#91 by Pete, Jun 17. 2016, 03:37
I've been making this for a few weeks now... I just made another batch using MAX VG, and cap Glazed doughnut with Butter cream and Bavarian cream in the mix... Serious all day vape status!!!
#92 by Chris, Jun 17. 2016, 07:07
Made 50ml yesterday and I was stunned. Goddammit that´s some fine Juice! Thank you sooo much!
#93 by Danish, Jun 21. 2016, 09:25

#95 by PuzzledKnight, Jun 22. 2016, 15:08
My new go to morning vape
#96 by navster, Jun 24. 2016, 03:31
mixed up a max VG batch yesterday ...steeped overnight ...driipped it today and wow definitely an ADV .. Smooth inhale and a wonderful sweet and slightly greasy donut exhale ...way to go ENYAWREKLAW ..simply delicious !!
#97 by HoneyGram57, Jul 1. 2016, 01:55
For those of you who complained this taste like raw dough, I accidently found the solution! Add 5% Coconut Candy [TFA]. Just a touch gets rid of the raw dough flavor yet there's not enough to taste Coconut. Enjoy!.
#98 by Mp0wer, Jul 4. 2016, 00:37
This stuff is so yummy, thanks for this recipe
#99 by moiledspilk, Jul 5. 2016, 22:28
It's not very good if anyone can help me. Maybe I should have used more PG, or I used too much Joy, but I don't get any chocolate flavor whatsoever and it kind of just tastes like sweet yeast. I followed the recipe exactly and it doesn't quite taste how I thought it would from the comments. Should I rebuild and try it on a new wick and coil?
#100 by eezel4801, Jul 6. 2016, 05:55
@ moiledspilk I have noticed different attys and different tanks even different builds make juice taste different. Sometimes too strong , sometimes no taste at all. Also steeping does have alot to do with flavor..A few months ago I made a recipe and it was pretty bad..really strong and just yucky...after a month I tried it again...different tank had a totally different taste..Put some in the first tank I tryed it in and the flavor was way muted..Believe it or not that yucky juice is now one of my favorites..Maybe that is also your experience ? maybe not but It was mine so .....you never know? This recipe works best for me cutting down on the chocolate adding bavarian creme and 6mgs nic...AND dripping it...Not a tank juice for me anyway...Some people wont drip 6mgs I do all day ..3mgs just doesnt cut it...
#101 by Dwhoneil, Jul 7. 2016, 12:16
Bought this premade so theres no chance i got the mixing wrong, and i have to say im quite disappointed.
Although this is a complex flavour that obviously had quite a lot of work put into it, it tasted like cheap chocolate donuts to me. Imagine cheap watery hot chocolate, and thats the kind of chocolate flavour you get.
Also turning up the concentration and adding sweetener definitely did not improve it.
#102 by rheaa, Jul 12. 2016, 03:10
Suggestions on how to reduce the dough taste to get more of a cooked doughnut? That is the only issue I have had with doughnut vapes is they taste like raw dough to me. This great but if I could make it less raw doughnut tasting, I would be a happy camper.
#103 by Kris-p flavour, Jul 16. 2016, 03:39
In over 1.5 year of vaping and ~8 months of mixing this is the only juice I mixed 100 ml of twice in a row. Spectacular work. CAP Chocolate Glazed Doughnut is great with a touch of CAP VC v1, but this recipe takes it to a whole new level. Simply brilliant. And cheap!

Absolutely gulping this stuff down! Just made up another 100mls for work. Really nice.
Has anybody added any TFA peanut butter or tried it with some FA meringue & marshmallow? Just mixed up a few different 10ml mixes to try some combos out. The peanut butter one smells really nice, I'll let it steep a few days and see how it vapes.

#105 by Seventy6ix, Jul 23. 2016, 20:32
Had high hopes for this juice because of all the hype. In the end it's disappointing. Like every other hyped up retail juice. It's just not for me.
#106 by Rocket976, Jul 25. 2016, 02:21
Added .5 ml inw cin roll and 2 drop s of fudge brownie and this is perfect doesnt matter if using choc glazed, glazed or frosted donut with the fudge brownie
#107 by victorfms, Aug 22. 2016, 21:41
can´t find any inawera flavors in my country, can i use graham cracker clear or sugar cookie instead?
#108 by HoneyGram57, Aug 27. 2016, 22:32
I've mixed this as written, with bavarian cream, vienna cream, coconut cream, extra chocolate, cinnamon, & cherry and loved them all. I now keep at least 120ml mixed that way I can pour off 10ml to add a few drops of booster flavoring if I get bored. Think I'll try adding a few drops of pre-made coffee to the next 10ml bottle, go for a dunked donut.
#109 by hardknox_, Aug 29. 2016, 00:36
I found this recipe needed a couple weeks to steep before it tasted good. I tried to shake & vape and had to empty my tank back into the bottle.
#110 by Vaping souljahhh, Sep 6. 2016, 16:00
Same as @hardknox, made this yesterday and had a vape and its not a recipe i enjoy, will let it sit for a week or two then try again. Wouldnt call it a shake and vape!
#111 by DrizzleDrops, Sep 10. 2016, 05:18
can i replace joy with anything else? i just ordered a bunch of flavors but they did not have joy.
#112 by Vaping souljahhh, Sep 10. 2016, 13:19
@drizzledrops, I doubt it bro, Joy gives it a kind of waxy cakey taste to it, im still undecided if i like this recipe or not. Joy is not a flavour either its more of an additive. I just got UP from FA but not sure if this would substitute it or not. I havent found and flavouring that is like FA's Joy.
#113 by sammstein, Sep 16. 2016, 11:40
was hesitant to give this a shot due to hating every choc juice ive tried thus far....
steeped it for 4 days and tried it...
DAYYYYUM... im hooked, this shit is good.
thanks for the recipe Wayne
#114 by noore, Sep 16. 2016, 18:39
Reduce CGD to 5%
Adding Bavarian Cream TPA 2%

Excellent!

but I think FW yellow cake causing gunk coil problem, so fast! blaahh
#115 by NeilMcCauley, Sep 23. 2016, 13:00
This and Cuprian are outrageously authentic. Can't believe how close you got to the actual thing. Mad props WayneGro
#116 by Biosphere, Sep 26. 2016, 11:06
I dont know how anyone can vape this without a long steep lol.
I originally thought this recipe wasnt for me or my choc glazed donuts was bad cuz of the harshness.
I happened to find a 6 week 30 ml bottle of this yesterday and holy shit. Theres barely any left and I will be making 120ml of it today.

Thanks a bumch Wayne !
#117 by Stanley, Sep 29. 2016, 00:41
This is great. A fellow vaepsta who was absolutely closed minded about donut vapes tried this and has returned to vaping donuts. Thank you.
#118 by RaGCaR, Oct 6. 2016, 16:36
I have to say, I'm very disappointed in this. 3 months of planning went into this recipe. Finally. I placed an order for all ingredients except for the cap choc glazed donut, as it was not in stock. I subbed with 5% tpa glazed donut & 3% double chocolate. I couldn't wait to vape this "shake and vape" juice. Then I did, and it tastes like I licked an ashtray. I'm still working on the same tank, hoping it will improve before it's completely empty, so that I might refill it with hopes of more improvement until finally I taste the awesome chocolate donuts that I'm supposed to be tasting. But only a few hits left in there, it's still like an ashtray, and I'm even considering having a cigarette to chase this taste out of my mouth. I WANT SO BADLY for this to taste good. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Luckily, I only made 100ml to test. Any suggestions? Maybe drop the chocolate and just go glazed? (which is fine with me).. Maybe upping the % of glazed too? HELP!
#119 by NeilMcCauley, Oct 6. 2016, 23:24
@ragcar mine tasted nothing like that. Prob your chocolate
#120 by eezel4801, Oct 7. 2016, 00:19
@ragcar Double chocolate and glazed donut is not what the recipe calls for...That is your [problem right there..As soon as you add different ingredients other than what the recipe calls for it is not going to taste the same..Sometimes subtle sometimes major differences.
#121 by Aqualung, Oct 7. 2016, 13:44
@RaGCaR , I would just let that 100 ml steep for a couple weeks. People seem to be liking this recipe with the glazed doughnut, I would try a small batch that way, then try the original recipe when you have all the ingredients.
Took me two orders to finally get everything together too, and now I'm lovin this shit!

Thanks for the recipe ENYAWREKLAW !
#122 by RaGCaR, Oct 7. 2016, 18:35
I used what I used to sub chocolate glazed donut because someone else posted a question asking if it was doable, and the response was yes, that it turned out great and they also posted the percentages used. Otherwise I would not have, as I believe a recipe should be followed to a 'T' and if not for the post that said it would work, I wouldn't have done it.
#123 by hardknox_, Oct 7. 2016, 18:49
Not everyone's palette is the same, @RaGCaR. Just because it worked for one person doesn't mean it's going to work for you. Also, judging a recipe when you haven't followed it is also unfair to it's creator.

That said, Bronuts isn't a shake and vape for everyone. Let yours steep for 2-4 weeks, shaking daily, and give it another shot. Just keep in mind that it's not Bronuts that you've mixed up and it may not taste anything like it.
#124 by eezel4801, Oct 7. 2016, 19:40
@ RagCar Hardknox is correct..Some people on here have posted the Chocolate glazed donut is a little harsh..Some Dont think so..When I first made this I thought I got a bad batch of C.G.Donut...AND I made it a 6mg nic..So bought another batch and it still tasted the same...The flavor was good except for the harshness...If you read some of my prior posts I think I mentioned it.....I made the recipe as written except for % of nicotine...So made more @ 3% still harsh..Then I tweaked the recipe A little less C.G.Donut added I think 2% Bavarian Cream..and it worked for me...Also made some with Boston Cream and although it wasnt harsh it didnt taste as good as either the harsh version or the bavarian cream version...boston cream version was just too strong flavor wise...To me Double Chocolate is very strong too...Well you have everything you need except for the right chocolate ...order it make it again per the recipe and tweak it from there ......This recipe is best after steeping for a few weeks IMO..Sometimes a few drops of sweetener can help a recipe...IF it's at least vapable . I know Ive made a few recipes my dog wouldnt vape and he loves to vape lol It sucks dumping them ...but it is part of DIY ...Thats why it's a good idea to make small batches @ 1st ..So if it sucks youre not wasting alot ..or if you wanna try fixing you dont waste more flavoring than needed..Hope this helps!!
#125 by RaGCaR, Oct 8. 2016, 03:23
Thanks eezel. Yea I'll be keeping an eye out for cap cgd, I want this nice to be my go to juice. That said, I said nothing that could be considered unfair to the creator, I have ever but of faith in this recipe, if made with the required flavours. I simply asked if there was something I could do with the subs I had, that I may have done wrong, percentage wise. I have no doubt in my mind that I created the ashtray taste, what baffled MD is that the rest of the recipe is a it should be. The chocolate itself smells and tastes amazing. If nothing else, I should taste chocolate overpowering a donut, not shitty old ashtray, lol. I think it may be the top glazed donut that messed it up, and that's disheartening because I ordered 120ml of it on a very fixed budget... *sigh*. I'll figure it out.
#126 by Andres, Oct 14. 2016, 19:13
Excellent: It's my favorite e-liquid. Thanks for a great job. I prefer with Glazed Doughnut also from Capella.
#127 by RaGCaR, Oct 21. 2016, 22:30
Yea I dunno what to do until I get some cap glazed donut.. Chocolate or not, I don't care. But I went all out and bought all these flavors, enough to keep myself stocked in juice for a few months, cuz I don't have the luxury of being able to afford to get a bottle of flavouring whenever I need one. But this relatively small batch I made (100ml) that smells so good but tastes so much like ashtray, it's just unvapeable. And it was my last bit of VG too... Ohhh fuck me haha, all I can do is laugh. Anyways, I've been vaping for going on 3 years and now without incident, and because of this glitch, I'm vaping what leftover juice bottoms I can find in the house, as well as smoking 8 to 10 cigs a day now to fill the gap. Soon as it's feasible, I'll get me a liter of vg and try to come up with some extra for some caps glazed and try it again, cuz this tpa frosted donut is the shits. I'm certain that's what fucked up the recipe. Haha, I've got a 115ml left of it too lol. Fml.
#128 by elCid, Nov 2. 2016, 04:42
2 month steep and this is sooo fucking harsh @ 3mg nic. I don't know if that's because I'm vaping on claptons or sub ohm. I diluted the final product by about 33% and it took the harshness away and made it so much more vapeable without taking anything away from the original flavor. IMO Capella CGD is best suited at around 4.5 to 5. YMMV.
#129 by Bitchin' Liquids, Nov 2. 2016, 10:34
I tried this and wasn't a fan of it unfortunately. But what about using glazed doughnut instead of chocolate glazed doughnut? Or tpa's frosted doughnut? Please any suggestions would be appreciated. lol I really want a good bronuts vape!
#130 by RaGCaR, Nov 3. 2016, 05:43
Yea don't use TPA frosted doughnut, the final result tastes like you're licking an ashtray. That's the problem I'm dealing with right now while I wait to gather a few dollars to get some Cap's CGD and finally make it right.
#131 by Enzman, Nov 6. 2016, 04:13
I made one 30ml batch and it was awesome. Ever since then i think it demolished my taste. All batches since then make my mouth numb and i cant taste it anymore. Any other vape is fine. Just cant taste this anymore. Im using a clieto 120 at about 80w.
#132 by Howard Hughes, Nov 7. 2016, 21:03
I made this about 2 & a half weeks ago. It was quite gross to me a a shake & vape & tasted nothing like a chocolate doughnut to me. I tossed it back into the cabinet for a good steep. Last night I found it again & after giving it a good shaking, tanked it up. It was VERY nice indeed. Exactly like a chocolate cake doughnut with the clearish, sugary glaze. I know you say no steep required, but it certainly required one here.
Very nice!
#133 by Stormy, Nov 10. 2016, 23:40
Hollywood..... I just made this up as well... I may try replacing the yellow cake with metaphor.. as you know...I won't touch it for 3 weeks.. haven't met a shake and vape yet that didn't need steeping...
#134 by Fuzzy05, Nov 20. 2016, 00:52
Can i leave out the biscuit? Or can i change it with something else? I cant get hold of that flavor...
#135 by Elite Liquids, Nov 21. 2016, 09:24
I found this was quite harsh on the throat and really didn't live up to the hype as a shake and vape but after 3 weeks steep it's lovely. Full of flavours, all mellowed out and really creamy. Going to adjust and make a strawberry version and also a blueberry one.
Just to note I didn't use choc donut but glazed doughnut instead. Still capella brand though.
Enyawreklaw you have some great recipes. Keep up the good work.
#136 by kaozgoat, Dec 2. 2016, 20:49
Has anyone substituted the fw yellow cake with theone from capella?
#137 by Mafia brew, Dec 10. 2016, 19:01

#138 by Amy***, Dec 31. 2016, 19:24
I plugged in Metaphor FA in place of FW's YC and this was a tasty treat never tried the original I don't use FW's YC nor any of those that contain fructose. SnV thanks for the share !
#139 by DavidN, Jan 10. 2017, 22:11
Mixed it exactly as stated and damn... best chocolate vape I ever had and the very first chocolate that actually has a perfect chocolate taste and smell. Nailed it Wayne ! I can only immagine what it will be like in a week from now IF it lasts that long LOL. Thanks man.
#140 by Loukas , Jan 30. 2017, 15:32

#145 by Loukas , Feb 13. 2017, 22:13
FA, all the jib done by CAP c G d... Original recipe is the best... For my palette I added cap butter cream 1, Tpa double choco clear 0.6. Inw milk choco 0.5 and cake yellow FW 1.3....
It became ADV forever...
#146 by Cleet, Feb 25. 2017, 02:20
Nice and smooth...best chocolate vape I've had.
#147 by zig, Mar 5. 2017, 14:40
thanks, I had to adapt it a little
#148 by BTCruiser, Mar 12. 2017, 18:01
I've made this recipe off and on over the past 6 months and I found it pretty good, but sometimes tasting too bready for my liking. I though about reducing the Joy down to see what impact that would have, but then I ran across some posts discussing using normal saline in e-liquids at 1 drop per 10 ml. I did this to my last batch of Bronuts and it seems to make this recipe much closer to its target almost all the time I vape it by raising the perceived sweetness and chocolate notes plus smoothing out the bread like taste.
#149 by cincinnatiking, Mar 14. 2017, 23:40
This is one of the first recipes I made when I got my supplies two weeks ago. I have been testing this every few days. I can say for sure that this needs a two week steep! At the very least ten days to get a real doughnut flavor. The Fruity Flakes calm down after a good steep, and the glazed doughnut flavor finally comes out.
#150 by bradb, Mar 19. 2017, 22:00
Awesome recipe, Mixed 120ml with exact flavors & brands per recipe & have to say it is perfect. Being I mixed it 50/50 pg/vg it only took a day to steep & taste awesome & it gets even better every day as it continues to steep. I am going to mix up another 120ml to give it a chance to steep while I finish this batch. I have been vaping this & a diy strawberry banana & the 2 make each other taste great all day. Thanks Wayne!
#151 by DaveL, Apr 2. 2017, 04:02
Great recipe, I have mixed 150ml of this so far and I enjoy it with morning coffee. I only gave four stars because you did not come up with the chocolate donut top note. I will give five stars if you can combine a glazed donut with a chocolate frosting. Maybe something Acetoin and/or Acetyl Propionyl free.
#152 by devapesalot, Apr 10. 2017, 17:53
take out biscuit, yellow cake, joy. add cappacino 3% cap 1% sweet cream if the yeast taste bothers you.. Or for a change of pace. let it sit over night g2g.
#153 by LiquidMaster, Apr 24. 2017, 17:20
this tastes like straight yeast to me, not even chocolate, or donut and def not sweet at all. someone help
#154 by Nono, May 4. 2017, 07:53
LOVE THIS my one con as a Shake and vape is after dripping 1 or 2 pulls the flavor is GONE but your coils are still fully saturated! Hopefully this will improve over some steeping time!
#155 by Habz360, May 8. 2017, 15:58
I too, unfortunately, am getting a lot of harshness. I used fresh VG/PG and nicotine as well as concentrates straight from delivery pack (shook the living S#!T out of them as well). The only sub I made was FA Marshmallow and tested the juice on my RDA and tank periodically over 4 days. The flavour itself seems awesome, smells incredible once mixed. Its just that the harshness is not letting me enjoy this. I'll be letting this sit longer with hopes this will smoothen it out and will also be tweaking the recipe as I suspect its the CGD that's causing the harshness, so may bring this down a notch. I know the harshness isn't because of the nicotine I'm using as I made various other juices that day and they're smoother that Luther Vandross... I'll let you guys know.
#156 by Whooptidooh, May 24. 2017, 10:28
So. When I made this back in February, I didn't like it. Used it in a tank, threw that back and forgot about the bottle. Now, in a rdta (Gaia) this stuff is amazing. WTF. Will have to make another batch. (I am honestly completely baffled by this.)
#157 by Stormy, May 24. 2017, 15:23
@whooptidooh.. I have a recipe called Ginger Joy.. Same thing.. I thought it was a complete swing and a miss... But 5 months later.. It was awesome... It has to be the joy... And I also have a 30 of bronuts kicking around..and like yourself...was not really impressed...now.... i need to try it again....lol
#158 by coneconington , May 27. 2017, 21:44
Can't say I'm a fan. Made this 5 days ago, using the exact ingredients and weights. To me it tastes like bread and chocolate latex, which was to be expected when using most chocolates. It's does get better after a few days, but not my thing. Same thing with Rhodonite, I can see why people like it, it's just not for me.
#159 by RaGCaR, May 28. 2017, 17:13
I see a lot of ppl have successfully made this with regular glazed donut rather than the chocolate. Has anyone done so and added Zeppola as well for the extra donutty goodness? How did it turn out, and how long did you steep it for? I just made a tester and really hope it turns out.
#160 by Habz360, May 30. 2017, 12:48
After just over a 3 week steep, this juice is almost perfect! The harshness has gone as stated a few weeks ago and the sweet chocolate is bang on. The donuttiness has faded somewhat but its made leaps and bounds after a good long steep. Making multiple 100ml bottles!
#161 by JAPE, Sep 5. 2018, 06:17
Pretty nice vape. definitely can't vape this one all day but it is very nice. after vaping for an hour all i taste is the joy which i really don't enjoy. i can completely taste how the joy is suppose to blend though. maybe i should lower the percentages. this is the first recipe of DIYorDIE that i haven't been a huge fan of. Quik has been my ADV since i started Diying.
#162 by Vibe, Oct 20. 2018, 04:52
Hmmm.. Its quite subjective for sure but it might be I'm the only one who doesn't like this recipe at all after shake vape at least this stage.. Made this and I'm hoping for a better stuff but no its not... tho I don't say at all it won't be a better stuff after a little steep. To be honest I just feel a chocolate overpowered harshy something... Tested with an original Taifun GT3 which is my flavour banger for sure + a dicodes wire. I'll be come back later and tell you what is my opinion.
#163 by TheSeeker, Nov 8. 2018, 23:17
Quick question.. I have CGD (cap) but it is like BLACK as coal.. is there a clear version? because when i make this juice, it is literally the thickest, darkest juice I've ever mixed, and it gunks up my coils within minutes. I have to replace the wicks twice a day with this juice. Is this common or did I get the wrong chocolate glazed donut.
#164 by trucker1891, Dec 23. 2018, 03:40
Still mixing this one a year later. Good stuff. But in small batches,

A ratchet chocolate donut from the gas station. Donuts look shinny in the box, but you know they aren't fresh because its 5 am on a Sunday.
They do the trick.
#166 by Anirei, Mar 31. 2019, 11:40
Sunday afternoon, you've just wake up. You realize you've bought way too much Donuts the night before. Don't worry they taste even better today (contrary the real donuts).
Very nice. Greasy, fluffy, chocolate cover Donuts which will get fresher as the time goes by.
#167 by Kingmanu23, Apr 28. 2019, 08:39
Does not taste like a choc donut but instead like a baked choc cake without frosting. I still love it. Thanks
#168 by Ammertos, Nov 13. 2019, 18:07
I finally made this recipe and I love it
#169 by Peacey84, Nov 24. 2019, 08:37
I don’t have yellow cake but I do have all the other ingredients... can I get away with not using it or will it spoil the recipe?? Also any alternatives I could use?? Thanks
#170 by Matek's Mayhem, Dec 2. 2019, 01:53
Don't know why it took me so long to try this, but after making Rhodonite, I took the plunge. I made the Boston cream version. Very tasty, even right after mixing.
#171 by J50ndj , Jan 20. 2020, 23:56
Exact mix made and don’t know what why everyone is raving about. Tastes cheap choc musky doughy and nasty tbh used on rda rta
#172 by JAPE, Jan 29. 2020, 20:09
j50ndj This recipe is pretty outdated.
#173 by JMWPremium, Apr 18. 2020, 01:49
Just doesn’t live up to all the noise it made. Don’t get me wrong it can be vaped but not something I suggest in my own rotation.

Would FA CGD at a lower % do instead of CAP?
#177 by kamanza, Apr 20. 2021, 19:45
Mixed it with FA CGD at 5% instead of TPA. Not bad, vapeable, but not spectacular.

chocolate glazed doughnut VS chocolate glazed donut
what is the best ?
#183 by Shiin, Sep 25. 2023, 19:38
Take off the joy and add 2% bavarian cream TPA, it take away a bit of the uncooked dough taste
