My husband wanted a Pumpkin recipe, so this is what I came up with. I initially made this with 1% Pumpkin Spice, thinking it would be a strong flavor, but it's surprisingly subtle at 1%. Even on the tongue, Pumpkin Spice is a little more restrictive. It's delicious on its own, as the dominant spice in a recipe, but I found myself longing for just a hint more spice. In comes Spicy Biscuit, a gingerbread-type flavor with oriental roots, a hint of honey, and smidgen of clove. I love this flavor, and I love how it plays with tobacco and dark vanilla flavors as well. It boasts more of a German, thick style Gingerbread taste, and can easily dominate other flavors if used high. It works perfectly here though.
You can simply drop the Spicy Biscuit (INW) if you prefer. I like it in here, my husband likes it without. It just adds a small boost of spice, but not an overwhelming spice. Purely up to you.
This doesn't have several Pumpkin flavors, nor is it terribly complex. If you have ever asked yourself if you should buy CAP Pumpkin Pie Spice, don't. It's beyond awful, like burnt clove, and nothing else. FLV Pumpkin Spice works so well because every aspect of it is balanced, one flavor doesn't overwhelm another. It's strong point is its versatility.
You know, I can't really say which one I like better either. I do like this version, but when I make it in a rush I leave the Spicy Biscuit out (my INW box is at the bottom of all my flavor boxes, sorted by brand). Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😄
I actually picked FLV Pumpkin Spice for its subtle spice, and found CAP Pumpkin Pie Spice overly clove tasting. Some people are going to taste differently though, I'm sorry it's too clove-y for you. That's a bummer.
Having vaped absolutely ZERO Pumpkin vapes, put this one off, until now. MAN this is good. I didn't have any spicy biscuit, and with the Pumpkin @ 1.25 it did (as you mentioned) feel like it could use a little kick. Will remix @ 1.5 and maybe pick up the SB. As it stands, this is a 5 star, no doubt.
I'm so glad you like it! If you haven't tried the Spicy Biscuit, it can be a fickle little thing to work with. If you have tried a German style Gingerbread, it kind of resembles that with a bit of Clove. Some people can't quite taste the Clove, because the spice blend has a few things going on, but it's definitely there, and it can be quite strong. I love using it, but my husband can't stand it, do it's hit or miss for some. If you have used a real Pumpkin Pie Spice, like McCormick, with Allspice, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, it kind of tastes like that, with a hint of AP and Clove on the back end. It does have a nice Biscuit flavor too, not quite buttery like OG Biscuit, but yummy all the same. Hope your Holidays are going great so far! 😊
Revisiting this one. Just too good NOT to. Perfect for the stressful holidays hehe. Just mix this one up, let it steep a bit, and sit back and enjoy. Not sure if it's better or not with/without the spicy biscuit. That was a great addition, none the less.
Hey thanks! I'm doing this one for the holidays too! The crazy family plus cooking might send me bonkers with stress, but at least I can relax after. That made my day Session.
