I wanted candy cane with a twist... Here the low amount of dragon fruit is barely noticeable but just enough to know it's there and compliment the peppermint to set it apart from plain peppermint.
Cream and marshmallow help sweeten and thicken the whole thing up and add to the 'twist', taking it away from a plain hard candy profile to more of a chewy sweet.
Sweetener is essential imo since it's a candy recipe.

Only the peppermint could be subbed for another clean peppermint flavour, the other flavours have specific purposes.
