Hey look. Another recipe of yours I can make ;) I will comment back after I get a batch cookin'.

Wow this is an oldie!! This was one of my very first recipes a while back, I believe I made another version that has a bit more stuff in it. I haven't had a bottle of these laying around in a long time, I think I'm going to have to make one tonight to refresh my memory

Hey Darth! :)

What's the difference between vanilla bean ice cream flavor and vanilla bean gelato?

Thanks!
#6 by DarthVapor, Feb 15. 2016, 20:26
Basically the Gelato is TFA's version of the VBIC, minus all the "bad" stuff. As far as flavor goes, the gelato is lighter due to removing these notes, whereas the VBIC is a richer, creamier ice cream.
I have loads of different VBICs but I do not have TFA's, so I can't really speak for the %s.
I see no reason why you couldn't sub the VBIC for the gelato. I like to use the gelato in a mix where I don't want a heavy cream note to it. It's a bit like their Vanilla Swirl in that regard

Hope that helps!

How would vanilla Swirl go with this all I have is VBIC and vanilla swirl I wanna try this one
#9 by mattelofqvist, Jan 27. 2017, 22:48
would this work without the vanilla bean gelato?
#10 by fabinc, Jan 29. 2017, 23:42
To me it is just a little too sweet and tart. Any suggested things to add and subtract? I was going to do maybe less dragon fruit and more vanilla. As for vanilla swirl for me I prefer regular vanilla been instead of vanilla swirl.

how good do you think this recipe would be if I subbed the Bav Cream and Vanilla bean Gelato for Cool Menthol Flavorah at about 0.75%???
#12 by deProLou, Jan 29. 2018, 12:33
I got Vanilla Bean Gelato specially to try this, first time to find a recipe of yours that i actually get the guts to mix - lol

Hello @DarthVapor,
First, please let me start by saying what a positive influence you've been in my life of vaping, mixing these e-liquids in particular.
Additionally you've helped me be better organized, more comfortable being myself here, and in other social situations in general. Thank you!
Regarding this recipe, you have done it again my friend! This must sound weird but it makes my mouth water just thinking about it! I'm going to mix up a 50ml bottle of it and then let it sit for at least a week but it's going to be a long week. I will come 🔙 and let you know my thoughts about it, I'm sure if history is anything to go by that I will love it.
I have a question for you. Are you the one who came up with the Idea for the Irish Cream recipe, it was, just off the top of your head, as you so eloquently put it. I ask because that recipe is my all time favorite! Please forgive me if you are not the creator of the Irish Cream. In my defense I am old and forgot things easier than I used to. I think it's time to end this review. Ciao!

@Poyn2Ohmyvayp. Wow, thank you so much for your kind words!! I'm happy to hear my mixing style has helped you so much! I know I can get a little crazy at times, hehe.
Regarding this recipe... This was one of the very first mixes I did, when I just started out. It's been ages since I have had it, but it's a good, simple [tasty] mix from what I remember!!
As far as the Irish cream recipe.... I do not have an actual one posted here, but I know that I have helped/suggested some mixes/flavors on the forum side of ELR, all off the top of my head, without testing it. So if you are thinking of a specific recipe on this site, that would not of been mine. If it was in conversation, then it could of very well have been!

Again, thank you so much and you are most welcome. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate!

Cheers

Hi Darth,
This is actually not bad. Just started vaping it after letting it steep for 3 months. I will have to vape it for a few days to see how I get on with it but so far its decent.
I used TPA - Vanilla Bean Ice Cream instead of Gelato. I never use any of the dx and lighter versions as to me they taste awful. I tried it once with one concentrate and never again will I be doing that.

I also added in TPA Smooth @ 1% and TPA Suclarose @ 1%

I think if I make this again then I will change the TPA blueberry to FA Bilberry as that is the best blueberry concentrate that I have came across.

Thanks for sharing your recipe :)

Nice, thanks for sharing, 4* because I developed it into the V2 which suits me better. But a very good idea mixing VBG, BC, Dragonfruit and berries. Pleasant vape, maybe asks for a bit of WS-23 in the summer. Thanks.
