It took 5 attempts and 3 boxes of Frosted Strawberry Poptarts to get it right. For the floury/buttery pastry the combination of custard/graham cracker with meringue and Vienna cream to keep it light and airy. It also need the combination of strawberry ripe and sweet strawberry to give it that jam-junk food strawberry taste. The real magic happened when I added the icing which gave it the perfect finishing touch. If you love poptarts without the calories...here it is!!!
This is a fantastic ADV seriously give it a try with a 3 day steep I was hooked right away !!! The inhale is a strawberry, buttery on sharp inhale then just as you exhale you get the delicious sweet cookie breadiness! Just perfect BLAX nicely done thanks for the share !!!
This is spot on, great work! I'm going to try a blueberry and brown sugar version sometime. Wonder if there's something that could be added that would create a lightly toasted taste?
I'm glad you like it. Those variations sound great!!! I think that any of the pop tart flavors can be replicated with the base combined with the fruit/topping of choice. When I was creating the recipe, I was replicating the "Un-toasted" version. I'll have to go through my flavors to try and figure out what could reproduce a toasted flavor. Off the top of my head, possibly TPA Toasted Marshmalllow.
Also there is toasted almond TFA or caps but I would go pretty low with it it can be harsh when there is already AP in the recipe ( cookie ) but the adaption sounds lovely !
I'll look into it! I did see that Cap has a new Blueberry Jam flavor that might work for the blueberry poptart. I'm still relatively new to mixing so using this poptart base to build other flavors will be a nice learning process.
FW Blueberry is AWSOME mixed with TPA Blueberry Extra. Nice bright and succulent at 3% each. I've made the blueberry poptart this way and it came out great.
I tried this with the new Cap blueberry jam. I think I put too much blueberry at 3% or else it needs to steep. All I taste is blueberry. I'll give it a couple days and try again.
I went with the blueberry variation and kept everything else the same. After 1 week steep and some time heating in a crock pot I don't get much pastry notes. Going to give this another week with high hopes that it will all come together.
made exact except subbed ECX sweetener at the same %. steeped 18 days. tastes exactly like a poptart. great balance of pastry, frosting, and strawberry goo. perfectly sweet for a poptart. this is the only recipie with FA vienna cream where i dont taste epoxy/nailpolish remover.
Nice, very f*****g nice lol. I just tried it after 14 day steep, it taste like a warm pop tart with that frosting, I'm digging this a lot, I'm actually going to try it with juice factory strawberry at some point as well, as that's a lovely candy syrup kinda strawberry and I feel it will be nice as well, but I mean this is perfect as is and I only try other strawberrys ect as I like options in my draw for when I get the itch for something different ha
Ahhh POP-TARTS!.. I'm vaping pop-tarts I tell you. Had about a 5 day steep. I already swallowed 6mls of this since I finished
work today. Really awesome work here BLAX. Tastes just as I remember them tasting. Thank man, really quite remarkable. Now I'm craving the chocolate ones too ☺️
This is amazeballs. I bumped the %s around and subbed cheesecake (graham crust) (TFA) for graham cracker and Strawberry (tfa) for red touch. Also didnt add sucralose. Great job on this. I would say if you are thinking about mixing this up. Do it. You will not regret it.
I'll be honest here, I don't like many of the 100-200 rated 5 star recipes, if any, on here and I have to say this one is awesome!!! This is as close as its going to get to a pop Tart and I applaud u for the hard work in tweeking this recipe to be exact. Well done man well done!! Got any other great recipes?
I wanted to take a minute to thank you for posting this recipe. I started mixing September 2016, so 9 months ago. I did tons of research before purchasing, and searched recipes on ELR. I purchased most of my flavors for this recipe, because it fit my vaping profile. It was perfect! I Vapes that recipe for months, and then I got brave enough to mix in some FA Forest Fruit. So I thank you for getting me on my way to DIY.
xalBBlax, I'm lucky enough to already have all the flavors for this one on hand and mixed it up. Smelled really damned close after shaking, let it steep for 2 days and tried it. I find your cookie/custard/graham base to be very smartly done. The SB's work perfectly together 50/50, and the cream cheese and vienna cream do their parts, and round it out. The little bit of sweetener punches the top end. Very nicely done. I'm picky so it's NOT common that I make a 2nd batch with many mixes, but I'll do that on this one, and let it steep over a week to see if anything changes.
Well done on the recipe. This flows together so well. I had to tweak a few things bc I didn’t have the Cookie. I’m wondering how good it is with the exact recipe!
So I finally picked up the missing ingredients. Still a top notch recipe. If you throw in 2% sugar Cookie it gives you more of the non-toasted version.
I general have 15 to 20 flavors going at any given time so I vape what ever tastes good that day. This juice has gone to the top of my every day ADV list. I find that it only needs to steep for a couple days and I mix it a about 75% VG 4mg nic. I love it!
Excellent recipe, I'm surprised it has just 20 something votes. I can feel this is not the 1st rendition. I'll be honest: it's not my favorite, but this is just due to it's strawberry cake profile (of which I'm not a big fan), but it's wonderfully balanced, one of the cleanest juices I tried.
One of the first recipes I made when I started DIY 2 years ago. I won't ask for subs for flavors or write my personal changes as it is simply perfect the way it is. This should be higher on the most rated recipes as I have made many popular juices here that were meh at best.
I was only missing the Vienna cream, and not patient enough to wait to order it, so I swapped it out with Liquid barn Vanilla Ice Cream. Tasted when first mixed was ok, but after a 3 day steep, WOW, this beauty is added to my ADV collection. Thank-you for sharing!! Can't wait to see the difference in taste with the Vienna Cream.
Mixed it up exactly as the recipe has it and right off the bat...wow taste exactly like a strawberry poptart. And I would know because I eat them for breakfast every morning. Great job xalBBlax. A new ADV for me👍
You don't need to be told anymore, but I am on a mission to get recipes that are really good to the top of the list instead of them being there because of people having discussions and causing that recipe to appear like it's popular and to try to get some of the old ones that are just ok down the list. I'll tell you anyhow very good job.
I mixed it up with 1% FW sweetener and 2% custard prem because I didnt have FA custard and this thing is brilliant. I usually never go above 0.40 FW sweetener but in this recipe even the 1% amount isn't overpowering the taste because Red Touch and Strawberry Ripe lack the initial sweetness by themselves. I always get the nail polish taste from vienna cream but not in this recipe. Highly recommended for people that aren't strawberry blind.
