Peppermint is a very robust flavor that gets stronger with age. .25% is a
better fit if your tastebuds have a hard time with minty flavors. The mocha mixed with the variety of
vanilla and creams gives this mix is sweet, full bakery body. Let this one steep for 1+ months. The
peppermint with blend more nicely.
I find all your flavorah recipes way too strong. I have to literally cut them down in half, if not more. I find a little goes a very long way. I use 10ml testers and learned from Flvfan that you can easily loose notes by pushing these flavors. Just start with a few bottle drops. I know you will be amazed. It really does not take much and using all flv.. There is a reason why they are so expensive, in that they are super concentrates, not like any other flavor manufacture. Keep working on your recipes!
I did try it but found it not to my taste, it was too heavy, and that vanilla bean, I can only use it as an additive 1-2 drops straight from the bottle. That is the culprit ruining the taste I know you tried to work on. How I did mine was like this:
It just works better, the taste does do anything weird after a week, and I enjoy it much better than the higher one. You loose notes using these flavors at a too high amount, I found that out the hard way. Less is more in the long run and will keep you going back for more.
"All your recipes" is what got me. But, i appreciate your suggestions. Everyone has different palates and i am glad you were able to adjust the mix according to your tastes!
I have had to adjust them all (all of your recipes) for me to enjoy them. You really do not need that much to make good juices. Flavor note loss isn't for me and keeping the amounts low, I get all of the notes. If you can try the recipe like I have it, would love to know what you think too. Then maybe you can see what I am talking about. Try it on all of the flv recipes you have here. Less is more with certain flavor companies. Flavorah happens to be one of those that can appear to taste good at 2% but even better when you use less, not to count how expensive it is.
My interest is peaked, you got me there! I will try grape melon with half the flavor. Ill get back to you on that recipe? Most of my experience is with flavorah, as you can see by my notes. I started my original 13 recipes with 5% or less and wasnt totally satisfied but ill go back. Thinking back, i should have posted all versions of each recipe rather than updating!
I have a question for you, Laura. How low do you go to test your flavors? Start really low and try solo flavors. Like 2-4 drops per 10ml and see if you can taste them like that.
Cool bean: Some flavors i test from .25% and up. I tried the grape melon recipe with half the flavor. It was good for the first week then faded to a bland taste. I mix 90-500ml at a time so i dont have to mix that often. Thanks for your suggestions. I tried them and it doesnt suit my pallette.
