Really good recipie, just made a 30 mil. Gonna let it steep, but so far I think I might drop the biscuit percentage to like one or .5%. Seems a little strong as of right now.
Well I made two 10mls. One to try off and on and one to let steep. Just tried the juice after 24 steep in my dresser drawer and it's great! Can't wait to see what it's like in a week. Thank you!
never had it in my stash, i know it is stronger because several friends know both and i trust their feedback. Try it for your self :) but remenber to cut in half the FW version if you are going to mix recipes that have the tpa version
So I took your advise and used cake batter at .5, since I didn't have cake. It was awesome! I went ahead and ordered yellow cake and made 80ml, knowing it was gonna be good. Well, it turned an awesome juice into the best recipe I have ever tasted! Hands down, recipe of the year, in my opinion. Great job and thanks for sharing!
Made 30mil. In a week this juice is really really good. Of course I had very little left by that time. Making two batches this time, 30 and 120. Thanks for sharing this!
Any chance someone could convert these measurements of ML to grams? I'm guessing they're not 1:1 as VG (Which I intend on using) is denser than PG/Water. Thanks in advance.
Leon, you can change your preferences to display in grams. Click "user", then " preferences" from the drop down list, then select "use grams" under the "Measure in drops or grams:" section. All of these flavors are PG based. VG based flavors are not very common at all and are usually not produced by the major flavor companies. TFA only has a couple. Also, VG is 1.26g/mL if that helps.
@NotCharlesManson have I told you that I love you? Thank you so much. I only joined this forum to comment on this recipe, it's my idea of heaven! Just ordered enough ingredients/scales/bottles etc to make up 1.5L of various recipes I've seen on here. I'm going to start with this one, especially now I can mix it by weight!
The mix of the strawberries is perfect! Gonna have to use this in other stawberry recipes. You've clearly taken a lot of time on this and the Vaping community loves you for it. Good fucking job dude.
Mixed up a batch and let it steep for a week - tried today and this stuff is outstanding! I'll be mixing up a large bottle today. Thanks so much for a stellar recipe!
vanilla swirl is a soft serve vanilla ice cream so I'd probably just sub it for the vanilla bean ice cream at the same percentage or I would do 1.5% vanilla bean ice cream .5% French vanilla or simply vanilla whichever you like better
Regarding subbing the strawberry, I accidentally left my Ripe with a friend and mixed this with 3% CAP Sweet Strawberry and 4% INW Sisha Strawberry. It was the first time using the Sisha and that stuff is really potent, and it was so strong I don't like how the mix turned out. The Shisha though, it tastes like its in-between Ripe and regular TFA.
I'm thinking if you have to sub the strawberry, just sub the Ripe for CAP in the same percentage. If you have Sisha Strawberry, keep it low, like 2% and add another strawberry to go with it.
Well, I have to admit.. I haven't made this recipe yet but dammit after reading all these comments I'm now quite disappointed with my "stash" which I thought would cover about anything!!! damn you! really does sound tasty
Yeah I have koolada but I don't like it either anyways That's awesome I have all the flavors except TFA strawberry like I said before I have other strawberries I could try out the recipe with but I'm just going to order TFA strawberry the only other problem is I'm out of VG but once I get some more VG and TFA strawberry in I'll give it a go from what I hear I'm pretty sure I'm gonna love it
TFA Strawberry is a super versatile flavor anyway. I use it in a lot of fruity stuff at .5-1%. It contains triethyl citrate (also in TFA Dragonfruit) which helps blend things together so well. You'll definitely use it in a lot of other recipes.
I haven't tried GCv2, but v1 isn't very similar to Biscuit. For anyone looking for a biscuit sub, I would suggest raising the Sugar Cookie to 3.5% and add FA Cookie at 1-1.5%.
The only flavor I don't have is sugar cookie, do you think upping the Biscuit would help? I'm a pretty new DIYer so I'm stoked I have almost all of it lol. Thanks for sharing your recipe man :)
I was actually shocked when you said it was based on a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar...lol. I thought you may have mis-named it. I made 100 ml exactly 1 week ago and new I would like it. 1st recipe ive made with Biscuit and when I got that flavor I knew I would like anything with it in it. Smells and tastes great. I felt the same way when I got FA Cookie.
I've been vaping on it everyday since I made it and at 1st with the biscuit being so pronounce, and the cheesecake flavor, I Immediately thought it tastes exactly like a Fiber One Strawberry Cheesecake Bar, Which I love and always have in my cabinet....lol. That's why I thought you mis-named it...lol.
But as the biscuit is dying down and the cheesecake blending in more and I guess the cake and creams coming out more, I can definitely see where you were going. Its been a great vape either way IMO...lol.
Might have to try another batch with more cheesecake and biscuit to see if the cheesecake bar taste holds up longer. ;)
Awesome recipe Man!! Thanks for sharing it. Probably the best one I've made off this site so far and theres been some pretty good ones.
Man this taste good after getting my straw ripe back. Although I'm wondering if there's a way to boost the cakey cookie-ness of it without messing it up. I'm getting mostly strawberry with a hint of creamy shortcake. Which is delicious of course.
What can I say, this recipe is great after 5 days and will only get better. Can really taste the strawberry, cookie, vanilla and cream, but there is still a slight pepperiness to the cheesecake crust, the cake is light. I imagine the sweetness will increase soon and think this will be a definite favourite of mine!!
Congrats on the kit, man! You deserve the recognition. Inspired by your recipe, I am trying to make a toasted almond bar. Hasn't worked out yet but I'm still playing with it
I'm going to mix this up today I'm just waiting on the mail to be delivered because it has the last flavor I need I'm so stoked I'll let you know how I like it but from the feedback Ive seen I'm sure ill love it (:
Wow this stuff is amazing. 10 days steep and I can taste every Flavor, no pepperyness, no over powering hints. Loving it, true genius right there. Well done.
Some companies tend to just use others' recipes instead of putting forth their own hard work. Hopefully this isn't the case, but we all know how that goes.
Yeah ha ha it might be but it very well could not be because I know they're are actually quite a few strawberry shortcake ice cream bar ejuices on the market I mean I couldn't name them all off the top of my head but the ones I remember are the one you make the one shyclops posted about and then also Philip rock if you know him he makes one
I'm not afraid..he never comments on anything...YouTube channel .DIYorDie..nowhere..way to connect ..I'm your biggest fan......Damn, feels like that rap song from Eminem...my name is Stan...damn
By far my favourite recipe at the moment but I make it with cinnamon sugar cookie (TPA) instead of Sugar cookie. 2 Weeks steep really brings out the flavours.
This recipe is attracting so many good reviews, how can I not try it out. One question though, I have INW Spicy Biscuit, will this sub for INW biscuit and if so, at the same percentage? Thanks in advance and also for posting your recipes here.
This is honestly just one of the more popular Reddit crunch berry recipes with tweaked percentages, and the addition of a couple very generic flavors. Smell is on point, but it just tastes like the crunch berry recipe
Please re-word your comment to "literally every juice recipe out there is basically just like every other recipe, but with some tweaked percentages and the addition (or subtraction) of a couple generic flavors." Not sure if you're attempting to "call me out" on something, but thanks for the feedback either way.
Quite the contrary, HiC can consume a phallus. I archived his recipes when he flipped out. Either way, I'm just pointing something out. Who's riding whose dick now?
I agree! We'll have a gigantic facility where we'll hold meetings, mixing sessions, and build a warehouse to store flavors. We can call that facility The Concentration Camp. Sounds a little familiar, but super catchy.
Hey NCM... I'd love to give this a try, but I don't like TFA Strawberry. It tastes too seedy to me. Love TFA Ripe Strawberry though. Did you ever test a version using only Ripe?
I haven't tried that. I don't like Strawberry that much either for the same reason. It works here. Trust me. It just gives it the little "tang" it needs. If you still don't like it, give it a try with maybe CAP Sweet Strawberry. I haven't, but it might work with 2% or so.
Wow - my test-batch is at 3 weeks and this just keeps getting better. The cookie/bar taste keeps getting more prevalent. y'all got a winner here. I'll be mixing up a big batch of this soon.
This thing is the bomb. I was pretty sure I would like it and I made 30ml and waited a week to vape. The 30ml is gone in 3 days... Already made a 120ml batch and I'm hoping it I'll be able to hold off another week or so to let the mix settle in a bit. Tastes great, smells awesome... Amazing job and thank you!
Made it at 3mg, 30/70 ratio a few weeks ago and this is so good. Making up a couple of more bottles, definitely better than a lot of the juices on the market. It needs steeping for a couple of weeks, it's not bland at all.
I hate TFA Strawberry. It gives some crazy lingering taste that I haven't been able to get past. However, You are amazing man. Very good Balance on this. I went with 3% TFA Strawberry Ripe and 1% Flavorah Strawberry. 10/10 ... My wife fell in love and is leaving me for this recipe, You fucking homewrecker.
My last two missing flavors will be here today for this recipe. After reading all of the comments I can't wait to mix this up. Thanks for sharing, I've already enjoyed a couple of your other recipes too.
just did this, and tried it right away... this is awesome, seriously.
Thanks to the OP for sharing this. Highly recommended.
Now it goes in the drawer and next week I'll give it a go again.
Thanks :)
Flavor sooooo muted after 7 days of old fashioned closet steep. I'll have to mix this up again and see if it was an error on my part (prob was considering all the reviews and buzz with this recipe). Has anyone mixed this and needed to up any of the percentages by any chance? Or has flavor faded after steeping for some of you?
I've got a question for 'mixers' that have a lil bit more experience in mixing then me. I cannot get yellow cake from FW ANYWHERE in my country, so whats the best replacement for it? or should i skip it and increase INW biscuit for example?
I'm gonna mix this up again tonight as I'm pretty sure somethings not right with the first 80mls I mixed. Can't wait and hoping to end up with some delicious juice!
First recipe I've mixed from this site and it tastes perfect in my dripper... Gonna mix up a bigger batch for my crown. NotCharlesManson is the cats whiskers
Mixed this one up months ago and loved it. Just mixed it again. Last time I made it and this time as well I didn't have tpa strawberry so in place of it I used FA red touch at the same percentage and put 1 drop per 10ml of FA forest fruit to accentuate the strawberry. Also put in 2 drops of vape wizard. Had to try it right away and it's amazing. Last time I let it steep for one week. It will be hard but I know this recipie gets better with age! Thanks again!
Been mixing this recipe up with cap sweet strawberry/tfa ripe strawberry for a month now, everytime it's utterly amazing. When the odd person says they don't like it i just kind of stare at them because i don't understand what's wrong with them haha. Anyways 6 out of 5 stars. Anyone ever tried subbing out the strawberry for lemon or blueberry?
@kevin, from what i've gathered it seems feasible, since the swirl is vanilla without the custards. But you will lose some of the buttery taste.
from TPA website: "This is our vanilla custard flavor that has had the "Custard Notes" removed. It is a very useful vanilla, good on it's own, or used in blends."
WTF? Just mix it as noted..what's the problem is? Methinks a bit too much biscuit..but that's me...I kicked it down to 1%...got rid of the only bad note in this mix..in my mind...god bless Not..you know who
Go ahead and tweak, sub , and substitute....please get the flavorings and try it 100% verbatim before you comment here......"only way to be sure"..and all that have, tweaked it, know what the f**k... god bless =)
Oh, no it's cool. I've just been completely swamped at work. 18 hour days, conference calls all day. Fun stuff. I just haven't had time to really be as active as I'd like to lately.
just kidding...he's great!!! no wait, fantastic!!!! hey man..does ecigexpress give you any kick back for selling all the flavorings in a pack for this recipe?
Yeah, I linked the kit in the notes. I'm not getting anything from them. Not a paid thing or getting free stuff from them, or any sort of special treatment at all. No shifty shill stuff happening haha. They just asked if they could use this recipe to sell as a kit, and I was overjoyed that they wanted to do that. The only thing I get from the deal is that sweet, sweet vape fame. I'd rather it be that way, to be honest.
to anon6970: Dude, are you crazy or something? Please stop spamming. I just asked an honest and to the point question, since Vanilla Swirl and Vanilla Custard should be almost the same, with the difference being only diketones. BTW I live in the Czech Republic, not a great place to get my hands on flavourings - and I don't want to to pay massive amounts for shipping. Anyways, "nuno," thanks for the reply.
Hahaha thanks, man. I make enough at my job that I don't really care about getting money from this. It's strictly a hobby for me. I may eventually do something on the business side of it, but nothing like coming out with a line or anything like that.
Yep....I'm crazy, Insane, looney .....ummmnn if you dont have the diagnosed flavors just try it with what you have ..duh..fuck dikatones and all that bullshit..you are still getting way less than 400 chemicals in standard cigarettes
Haha nah. Those guys are great. I'm completely fine with them selling this as a kit.
I'm currently working on a couple business-type things I can't really discuss at the moment. Gotta see if they work out and all that stuff. Maybe some day soon.
I'd be curious to see ..just how many mixers bought the flavorings in the pack they sell to make this mix..I just hope all those that did actually like it..but if not ...corporate America says fucking oh well
LOL...what's comedy..is that I never had a Strawberry Shortcake Bar before I had this mix...and I found them at the store ...and I'm fucking addicted to them now...thanks a lot Chuck you fuck...
I've been trying to rework this to give an alternative for those who don't want to use FW Yellow Cake. The closest I've came is bumping the Sugar Cookie up to 3%, and adding FA Meringue at .5%. It's not too different from the original.
I think I will stick with FA YC for now (just ordered a bottle) and wait for you to do your magic with this one. I've been dying to try it far too long. I might actually make a 10ml batch with the changes you suggested and see what the difference is myself. But I am jumping into a 100ml of the original to start off. I think a steeping time advice was asked here before but I am not sure if you ever gave it. What would you recommend?
Just a quick question. see when i'm steeping liquid, am i best to fill the bottle all the way to the brim or leave some air in it? and also breathing, should i leave the bottle open to air for any time at all? Its my first time making liquid.... and we all remember our first time so i want to make sure its perfect!
Just kidding. Let it age (or steep..whatever you want to call it) with the lid closed. Just fill the bottle up to whatever your calculator specifies. I don't breathe anything. Fruit flavors have small molecules, which tend to escape when the lid is off. Basically, this means that some of that lovely fruity taste is escaping the bottle and leaving behind the dense cake and cream. The best way is just to mix, shake, and leave it alone for a few days. Simple and sure.
I used cap gram cracker and cap newyork cheesecake. I added 2 drops of flavorah crunch cereal. Subd vanilla swirl for french vanilla. This is the siznit.
i've made it, taste great straight after 24 hrs of steep, any idea how i can make it more 'milky'? i like thoose kind of vapes, but i feel like this one needs more creamy/milky taste, atleast for me
anyway, great recipe
Yes, I actually am using some this morning that I made over two weeks ago and it is very good now. The cake and bar type flavors are far more pronounced.
Ok so I finally managed to get my hands on Vanilla Swirl, so I have mixed this. Only thing that is different is the Strawberry, I had to use CAP Sweet Strawberry instead of that.
Didn't like it much as a shake and vape. Now after a week it's just amazing. Never tried actual S. Shortcake Bar, but I imagine it's something that makes one simply obese, lol. Love the layers - strawberry right at the exhale, and the aftertaste with lovely biscuity notes. Definitely the most authentically desert-y tasting e-juice I have ever had.
Props to you, mister NCM.
Love it. I tried something different though. Instead of the Strawberry flavors, I added Capella Blueberry Jam. Love it! I just got this new flavor and needed a way to use it. This is it, for me. Thanks so much for sharing. I don't know what I'd do without your kindness.
Are the strawberries definitely the right way round i.e. 6% ripe and 1.5% normal? I made this and it is very smooth and nice but feel the strawberry ripe in such high amount is adding a kind of "hay" taste... Just wondering if it should be 1.5% ripe and 6% normal?
Have everything except Regular Strawberry TFA. I do have FA Strawberry (Red Touch), and CAP Sweet Strawberry. How would these two go with this recipe? Never had TFA Regular Strawberry, how does it compare to CAP Sweet Strawberry and FA Strawberry?
@NotCharlesManson Seems hard to find Biscuit (INA) but i can get Spicy Biscuit (INA) instead. Is it ok of i use Spicy Biscuit? Or should i just up Sugar Cookie to 3.5% and add FA Cookie at 1-1.5% like you suggested at a previous post?
I still somewhat stick to the sub 20% "rule", but there are definitely exceptions. With something like this, I wanted it to be complex. Using a lot of flavors don't always make a recipe complex, but most of these are pretty linear, meaning they sort of give one or two qualities, and that's it. I've been meaning to go back and cut down the flavoring, but other projects are taking priority. I could probably get the same profile with 10% less flavoring.
A lot of it is just knowing your flavors. For example, I know Strawberry Ripe needs a lot just to bring out the strawberry flavor, and not just utilizing the maltol properties.
If you break this down into strawberry, ice cream, and cookie crumble "crust", it makes more sense than looking at it as a whole. The strawberries play off of each other. Ripe giving sweetness, and regular giving a slightly tart, candied taste. The creams (Bavarian and Swirl) go together great, with the CGC bridging the gap between the crumbles (sugar cookie, yellow cake, and Biscuit).
@smok I haven't experienced that, although I don't vape anywhere near 60ml of juice a day. It's a great recipe, but I feel like the fruit is a bit drowned out by the heavier flavors...
The ripe strawberry was definitely the right choice IMO, and it's certainly there, I guess I just want more of it...so I'll just add more of it! lol. Fabulous shortcake flavor though, man...really well done.
Are people still following the recipe exact even with cake yellow containing a form of sugar? i've got everyhing to make this but only made one with cake batter (cap) in place of cake yellow (fw)... feel like i'm missing out but worried about the sugar in cake yellow.
mixed exactly as you said notcharlesmanson, tried at day 2 and great all day vape. strawberry on the inhale, pound cake in the middle, followed by cream, then finished with light strawberry whipped cream. thank you for sharing! 10/10.
like what you said about making this a little lighter. cant wait till v2
This is, IMO, a perfect DIY recipe. Having problems finding ones I dont consider even the slightest bit harsh, especially when strawberry is used. So far, this and another DIY on this side, Addies Yogurt, IMO are 2 of the best i have come across, so far out of about 22 or so I have tried.
Thanks, Much appreciated!!!
Im a complete noob to DIY im doing it now thanks to Wayne. I found this recipe and I automatically thought of my childhood. I just finished mixing a bottle and I feel like I opened up a box of Little Debbies. Im chomping at the bit for this time next week already. You are a champ bro!
I mixed this up when you first posted it, but I can't for the life of me remember what I didn't have that I subbed, but the end result was that I mixed it all wrong. Cut to 3/6/16 when I finally mixed it correctly, and I just broke into it last night. This is the most enjoyable a strawberry vape has EVER been for me. What a beautiful recipe! Thank you so much for sharing it.
rights, got most of the flavours, just ordered yet another boatload!!! can't find tf/tpa dairy / milk anywhere at all, so will have to do with flavorwest's nilk. hopefully that will doits job nicely as it tends to thicken and bring a thick texture to ur vaoing experience, Hell, I've used FW milk and it has really turned a crappy recipe into a really good one! Works inplace of MTS wizard if you don't happen to have any with other recipes! Helps blend everything together I have found
Just mixed up a 10ml test batch and smells fantastic, love the flavour but slightly too sweet for my palate, any suggestions to reduce the sweetness will be much appreciated.
This recipe definitly deserves the top rating. Really good. Normally I dont use higher than 5% in strawberry which I did in this recipe this is just about right in 75/25/1mg nicotine.
Mixed 30ml of this at 3mg and let it breathe overnight and already loving it. Can't wait for all of the flavors to develop....going to have to mix a larger batch because I know this bottle won't last very long. Thanks for the great recipe.
This is an awesome vape. I made with TFA Strawberry Ripe @ 7% without the TFA Strawberry Non-Ripe and it's great. Don't know what if anything I'm missing without it. The Strawberry ripe really shines but not tasting the biscuit much if at all.
Mixed this up 2 weeks ago and what an awesome juice this is! It is hard for me to get much flavor from many recipes but this one delivers. There are just so many strawberry/cream recipes out there but I don't need to look anymore. Ty for the time and energy you put into this.
Looks good. I think that I'll mix it the next few days, but I'll leave the Strawerry out and up the Ripe 1.5%, I am getting a funky taste out of the normal Strawberry.
I get a weird taste from regular Strawberry as well. Try leaving it in. I think you'll be surprised how little you'll notice it, with the way I use it here. It's one of those flavors I use as a "booster" instead of being really noticeable.
I was just so disappointed, when I started DIY. Everyone said "try Mustardmilk, it's the easiest for beginners and its delicious". I tried it, but I just cant get rid of the weird taste the Strawberry gives me.
good job! im vaping a 1.5 week steeped mix. just exactly strawberry shortcake bar. just like from the (god forsaken) ice cream man. i hate the ice cream man with his loud obnoxious music, enticing children to eat his sugary treats. hes just causing trouble if you ask me. tearing families apart...
This one needs a bit of a steep, but is very delicious if you do it right. Thanks for sharing #Notcharlesmason. This will be on my regular rotation from now on. Five stars all the way mate. Cheers
Wow, this is a drama free zone.... Great job on the recipe it wouldnt have been something that i would have thought of to use for a profile. Thanks for the recipe
Well, I got vapors tongue from excessively vaping this recipe. No matter how careful and even in new bottles I make this, it just isn't as delicious as when I first made it :(
Just made a 30ml and couldn't help but give it a go straight out the mix, but it already tastes awesome. I've put it away and can't wait to give it another try once it's steeped!
After 2 days all i can taste is the strawberry (ripe mostly) and a very light tone of cookie. Hmm something is wrong with my flavours? 70VG/30PG 9mg nic, Kayfun Mini v3
I haven't tried this yet. Just made 100 mls, so hoping it is good. With all the comments and positive notes, it is just too much to pass up. Thank you for the share @NotCharlesManson
Mixed up a batch a week ago, following the recipe exactly, thought I'd try it today...can't really taste it :/ I get a watery biscuity flavour, without much strawberry. Any ideas..? Ha. Maybe I just need to let it steep even longer.
easily a 5 star recipe. i wish i could comment on how it tastes when fully steeped but i finished my first 30 ml bottle in 2 days after giving it a hot bath and letting it breath for a while. just whipped up 240ml more of it because i liked it so much :)
When I first made up this recipie it came out good, maybe a little strong on the graham cracker/biscuit note, but was my favorite Vape other than muffin man. A month ago I made up 60mL 3mg and just today Vaped it, I no longer taste the strawberry, the flavor is flat... Where did I go wrong? Do I need to lower the cream/custard/graham cracker notes a bit if it is going to steep a month+ ?
Absolutely love this recipe! I some times swap the (TFA) Strawberry with (TFA) Banana Cream at the same percentage (1.5%) and leave the Strawberry (Ripe) in there and it's a nice change up. Basically a GREAT shortcake base that you can add which ever fruit to, to change it up! 5/5 stars from me!
@thumper5102 same here. I've made this 3 times...every time I kept giving the benefit of the doubt that I mixed up wrong(despite using a scale for all my mixing) and get the same results. Pleasant pastry-ish vape but very mute. Sb is barely noticeable. In fact, id bet if u gave this somebody and didn't tell them there was sb in there they would never be able to tell u they taste sb. Even the other elements are faint to me. Bummer since what i tasted was good stuff but just lacks overall flavor. I don't use EM or sweetener in my mixes so I can't chalk it up to vape tongue either. I keep saying I'll try it again but with my preferred ratio of sb ripe and cap sweet sb and also modify the other stuff a bit but, tbh, it's kind of a pain to make since it's not the simplest recipe. If im pulling that much shit out for a recipe it's gotta be worth the trouble and so I never ended up trying this again. If u figure out what the weak flavor issue is here or a modification to where it becomes a full flavored vape let me know so I can give it a try.
i've made this 4 weeks ago (exact recipe).. i didn't like it that much... but lucky i made 60 mil's and tried today and it is half decent i give it 3 stars!
I made some yesterday but I subbed INW strawberry shisha for tfa strawberry and it's really good at 1 day, so I imagine it's going to be awesome. I guess I need some tfa strawberry to try the full recipe:)
I've been looking everywhere for recipe that gets me close to PRocke strawberry "shortshake" as that's tied for the best strawberry juice I've ever tasted (and I've tried A LOT, oh-face by beantown is other favorite). I'm highly tempted to try this recipe due to all of the positive reviews but will add 1% sweet raspberry as that is the key to the PR recipe. Trouble is, I'm deathly afraid of tfa graham crust. It's horseradish on roast beef to me (everyone loves it but to me it smells and tastes like a corpse fart ). I'm gonna try without it as I'm thinking the biscuit will provide the cake. Thanks for sharing brother, I'll let u know.
I can't get enough of this. When I first started trolling DIY_eJuice to get info to place my first order, I saw this recipe and knew it would be one of the "road tested" that Wayne mentioned making first (ADV material). Get your feet wet kind of flavor, learn about some ingredients and layering, etc. I know so much about each and every one of those flavors now.
Wanted to share because SSB was the first juice I ever mixed. 2 months later, I just made my 150th ml. I was addicted to these as a kid growing up (Good Humor all day.) This might be the most beautiful representation of the essence of those delicious childhood memories. Bravo to you sir, this will always be in my rotation.
i initially commented on this recipe saying that it was amazing pre-steep when i first started mixing, and i stand by that statement, but some time has gone by and i keep coming back to this...
i just wanted to say that i've now mixed several different recipes, created quite a few of my own, and even went out and bought a bottle of boosted yesterday to see if i could clone it.
this recipe is above and beyond any other recipe i've mixed, as well as "boosted" and several other "premium" ejuices. boosted honestly tastes sad and unbalanced in comparison to this. of course they are different flavor profiles, but as far as the heart and soul put into the balance of all of the flavors, the attention to detail, the subtlety, etc. this juice blows it, and several others, completely out of the water.
if "boosted" is premium, this is connoisseur. i couldnt thank you enough for putting the time and effort into this recipe just to give it away to the masses. every time i make this juice, i make the largest batch i possibly can so i never run out.
NotCharlesManson, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
#309 by A.D.V., today, at 09:13
you are my hero notcharlesmanson!
made exactly as specified, steep 10 days, and am blown away at the complexity, and satisfaction i get from vaping this! to me the strawberry is just a footnote to the delicious cake base-its insanely good, moist and with great texture. i love that you kinda "broke the mold" by not going the CAP vanilla custard v1 road that you could have so easily taken. instead you created a superb base with the cakes, swirl, and graham crust (i hope some flavor manufacturer can come out with a suitable FW yellow cake substitute soon). NOTE: if you are a mouth to lung person like me and use high nic i would NOT recommend over 11mg as the bite becomes very noticeable. this recipe has been my go to for 2 months now :)
@NotCharlesManson This is a fantastic vape. I mix this at 3% nic, but I find that the nic makes it a little too harsh. Do you have any suggestions to mellow out the flavour any? I also like a little stronger of a flavour, so I want to play with the proportions to bring it up to 20% or 21% ... further suggestions? :-)
Just made some of this. i messed up on the first batch but vaping it anyway. still good. i made another batch to steep for a while. thank you for the recipe! great work!
I made this on Jan.30, 2016 and I finally got around re-tasting it. I'm not a big fan of Cap, TPA and FW, but you worked magic with this mix. This well beyond anything I've made using these flavors. Good job with this mix NCM. 5 Stars.
@illitirit
I make of this 1000ml batch one week in a big bottle and strait to small 30ml after a week and its perfect.
Once notice that there is a bad batch from TPA of Bavarian Cream where taste and smells like burn popcorn that may be issue.
Try to use DX version where i found it perfect
I don't know why I waited so long to try this recipe. Just tasted it after a 3 day steep. This will be in my daily rotation for sure. Time to make a big bottle. Thanks for the amazing recipe.
Not yet versed in ratio, or how much flavouring I actually like. This is one of my fave recipes but i can no longer vape it. I find it now, far too strong today.
I have to figure out what percentage of flavouring i do prefer and adjust the ratios as I do miss this one
I've changed my mind a few times on this one.
Now it's steeped at 6 weeks on max vg, it's very tasty and I like the strong flavours coming through.
Hmmm I'll try and delete my previous comments.
Great recipe 👍
I subbed .5% CAP cake batter as I didn't have yellow cake on hand. I tried it right after mixing it up to get a reference of how the flavor changes over time. At no steep the strawberry is very prominent and it's almost like you can taste all the components in discrete layers, like striations in bedrock. Day 3 the strawberry had settled down a bit and you can tell the aromas have started to marry. Today, day 5, the strawberry has clearly taken a back seat, the flavors have blended and the mix is homogenized and you just get a wonderful, fluffy shortcake bar with just the right hint of strawberry glazing. I've tried about a half dozen of the most popular strawberry vapes on here and I have to say this one is my favorite. The balance is fantastic, dessert-like but not too sweet. Great recipe #NotCharlesManson! Five Stars.
This is a master piece IMO, it's probably the best strawberry shortcake bar online by a mile, it's better than the diyordie version, in fact this is as good as the Philip Rocke version IMO, made 30ml and going to make 100ml later today, steeped mine for three weeks, so pleased u used TPA strawberry, as Capella is good but dies down after few weeks, flavorshack has sweet strawberry that's as good as Capella if u ever try it, and it holds flavor u like Capella
This is banging good! Immediately after mixing, the strawberry and biscuit are prominent (I love INW). It's for certain a great shake-n-vape for the impatient! I made 30ml and accidentally vaped it all in a day! I made 60 more the next day, let it steep, and took notes every day for a week. After two days the cake is comes through while the strawberry mellows a bit. After four days the strawberry is no longer the star of the show as the bakery flavors come together. I haven't noticed much of a difference after a full week. I think 3-4 days is good for steeping. Everyone who tries it loves it! I made 600ml yesterday and put 540ml away for steeping (the missing 60ml is going in my lungs while I wait!). Thank you very much for sharing, @NotCharlesManson!
This deserves another shout out, I tried it again today and it's good very good, I try to vape the really good juices like this for a few days then rest for few days, but it's hard lol, but worth it because you get that full on effect every few days rather than over doing it and becoming fed up lol
@NotCharlesManson The only flavor im out is the TFA Strawberry, Do you think i could sub with any of these flavor CAP SweetStrawberry INW Shisha Strawberry? If yes what percentage would you suggest... Thankyou for the recipe!
This is an insane recipe, it's so fricken good that I think it could be a premium juice with a load of sweeteners and I would've bought Litres of the stuff. Great recipe, will always be one of my ADV
Well, I suppose there's a reason this has 350+ comments! I'm not big on strawberry, but this looked too good too pass up. I regret only mixing 15ml, it's the first strawberry I'm strongly considering putting into my daily rotation. Thanks for the great recipe!
I made 200ml of this first time round, shake and vape it wasn't vapable really. After 4 weeks I'm just left with a biscuity vape with no hint of strawberry at all. I'm going to try re adding the strawberry as I know it can become muted over time. I will report back once I've done that. So far I'm not impressed unfortunately. Not sure what went wrong?
I find long steep times do bring the biscuit out, but my thoughts are to add a touch dragon fruit to long steep times, as it will brighten the strawberry up.
Fuckin' love this recipe.... but I feel like it's missing something everyonce in a while. I'm starting to think it's the TFA Cheesecake graham crust. Anyone sub Cap's NYCC for the TFA?
I made 200 ml and I added 1% INW biscuit . Week 3 the strawberry seems gone over ripe LOL but one week later everything is back in place. I will try the ice cream version with CAP Vanilla Bean Ice cream
WOW!!!... I steeped this 4 weeks as I do for every vape...v2's get 7 weeks...just having eaten real strawberry shortcake with the taste being fresh in my head....this is a DEAD RINGER for Strawberry Shortcake... I couldn't hold back the wow's every time I took a hit... Great recipe...I'm not even going to make any adaptations to it. I always make adaptations!!!!
I feel like i must be doing something wrong with this recipe. It smells amazing but tastes of absolutely nothing. I even copied it and subbed out the Strawberry for raspberry and still the same.... Smells SO good though... i really want this to be great
I made my batch with 1% inawera biscuit as suggested in one of the comments, 4 weeks later was when was an alright juice as mentioned above, will be one to make a big batch of
Yeah it's surpsisingly good after only a couple days, but I mixed one and set aside for a month and finally understood what all the hype is about :) NCM really is a mixing genius.
First off, thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing any recipe. I've only been mixing for 4-5 months. But, I've never run into this problem: when I went to mix your recipe (using eJuice me Up) I get the following error: "You need to add more PG. Can not use (-) negative numbers as shown. Recalculate." I have your values entered exactly as recipe states. I have PG based nic and target PG and VG is set to 20/80 with nic level at 3mg. Sorry for the newb question. If this isn't the right place to post it, I will remove it. Thanks in advance.
@johnny law just click the box max vg and it will come out 23/78 that's how I have to mix it as I'm in the same predicament as you with 3 mg nic level using 100mg pg nic.
Great recipe, thanks.
I didn't have Strawberry TPA so I used Sweet Strawberry CAP instead and I can't imagine it being much better with TPA, as it's fantastic as it is.
Damn this is the top rated recipe I canMake with what I have. It's only been an hour since I made it and it's already delicious. I can't wait to try it steeped.
Couple things I've noticed.
FW Yellow cake just tastes the best in this recipe for whatever reason. I've subbed Cap yellow cake and it lacks that malty, doughy flavor of FW.
A tiny bit of FLV Crunch Cereal morphs this recipe into an almost strawberry fried pastry or fried donut
A few drops of saline really brings the flavor to life
You could probably get away with using just Cap NY Cheesecake at the same % maybe even a little Cap Graham Cracker with it too, but .5% at the most. This recipe holds up pretty well to one or two subs, but it's really the best verbatim imho
If your mixing large batches by mg..you need to sccount for the SG.. 1.8ml is almost 1.9 after the SG is taken into account...So if your 120ml doesn't taste as strong as your 10ml bottle. Half a ml will make a huge difference.. Spend the 20 bucks and get a scale.. let this one steep..its well worth the wait.
@ScubaSteve Thank you! Makes sense now. I mixed up a batch. Smells delicious. @NotCharlesManson Thanks again for sharing. Can't wait to try it after a steep =)
Simply amazing. SO SO GOOD. Everyone do yourselves a favor and make the recipe exactly how it's written. No subs. I've tried several variations using different flavours when I was out certain ones, for example like subbing TFA Strawberry for CAP Sweet Strawberry. While the recipe always turned out great even with subs, nothing beats the original recipe. It's phenomenal.
There's only a couple of fruit vapes I like so I pretty much gave up on them but I made this SS for a friend & tried a little before presenting it. OMG! It REALLY does taste like a strawberry shortcake & has earned it's spot in my ADV lineup. Thank You for sharing this delicious recipe!
Lol nice. Thats alot good thing you did choose a great recipe. Mine turned out great even tho as i sed above i can only mix at 72 highest vg possible for me
Lol nice. Thats alot good thing you did choose a great recipe. Mine turned out great even tho as i sed above i can only mix at 72 highest vg possible for me
I mix it @ 2% nic max vg and the throat hit is not too strong, which for me is a good thing. Stronger nic and a higher percentage of PG will of course make the throat hit stronger.
This is a fantastic recipe, try it!
@NotCharlesManson Please help me.
I can't get any flavors really, i followed this recipe to the letter, i did it 3 times and still the flavors are muted,I even made a concentrated batch at 20% i'm using 70/30 vg/pg and 100% pg/nic at 3mg. What am i doing wrong?, This is my favorite vape (strawberry shortcake bar) But i can't get this one right, can somebody help me out? Please and thank you.
Hey Manson I've been having trouble with recipes not being very flavorful nothing like premium juice I love I'm thinking I need to put some super sweet in the mix. I love this recipe it's just not vivid enough not sure why no diy taste premium. One thing I do know is that it's definitely me I think I just need more sweater in my mixes
Hey Manson I've been having trouble with recipes not being very flavorful nothing like premium juice I love I'm thinking I need to put some super sweet in the mix. I love this recipe it's just not vivid enough not sure why no diy taste premium. One thing I do know is that it's definitely me I think I just need more sweetner in my mixes
He did a video saying he was going to release a second version because the INW Biscuit is too high. I don't know if this is that version, but don't use that much INW Biscuit if it isn't. He said it's a horrible recipe.
Joe C- Try mixing it 70vg instead of max vg if you want it sweeter. The strawberry itself should be more than enough "sweetener" with a little extra pg to help bring it out.
Thanks Brandon I do mix it at 70 30 Ive recently been adding .3% of super sweet and it's been working pretty good all the premium juice I vape still taste more vivid and loud I also think I need to steep for a bit longer
Nice mix, but as others have said it doesn't come together until day 7 ish. The strawberry dies down with time, after 3 weeks it's at a perfect level imo. Does anyone else find TPAs strawberry ripe overpowering for the first week of steeping?
This is fantastic - soooo smooth...I used Bavarian Cream DX 9 (sans the nasties) and I've since realised that adds a few weeks steep time - as it can be a bit overpowering. Gonna do a fresh batch with the original Bavarian Cream to see the difference.... But i already love it minus the slight aftertaste from the DX... fantastic recipe thanks!
best strawberry recipe I tried so far. Sweet strawberry upfront on the inhale and a smooth creamy pastry on exhale. Dripping it on my goon RDA, alien coils .20 80w. Good as a shake and vape, but even better after a nights steep. Gonna try the dinner lady lemmon tart recipe next. Thankyou for shareing this awesome recipe.
I ment to say pebbles recipe, not the dinner lady lemon tart by notcharlesmanson. I also sub. the bavarian cream with caps, bavarian cream. Used caps new york cheese cake, and added FA vienna cream at 1.5.
How long of a steep does this need for the flavors to come out? The only strawberry I taste is a muted ripe strawberry and that's not really that delicious and I followed this perfectly. I wanted to make it for a while and specifically ordered the flavors to make it. I guess I expected something like Phillip rockes strawberry icecream bar. Not unless this thing takes a turn after 8 days. I may try another batch with some caps strawberry in place of the tfa regular strawberry, or some shisha and a dash of red touch. Who knows.
I made this 4 days ago and tried it today and its wonderful. I did have to make a couple small subs. I used cap cake batter at 0.5% instead of the fw yellow cake. Subbed tfa ethyl vanillan for the tfa vanilla swirl. And subbed cap sweet strawberry for the tfa strawberry.
Fore me this was abit week, but maybe its suppost too be week on tast, i miss abit stronger Stawberry tast.
I steept it 2 weeks as recomended, using a Alien Smok 220W
I gave it a 3
@GalaxticResidue thank you I wasn't aware other people make that I will get some from one of those vendors until I can find the right one. just a few weeks into mixing and I kinda like to try the recipe his exact way cause then I always wonder what the real original is lol
pretty bland unsweetened cookie with a flat unsweetened strawberry... Not worth more than 2-3 stars at best. Something 10x better would be easily made with 3 flavors.
mix the recipe 30 ml, subbed the TFA Strawberry with Sweet Strawberry CAP, the rest flavours are same. have 3 days steep open the bottle, drippin some and WOW, NCM Thank's for share the recipe.
I originally gave this a 4* rating, but now my own mixing has developed I've had to downgrade it. There's something very off about the strawberry flavour to me - might be the ratio of the two TPA strawberry flavours.
I get lots of people like it, but for me it just doesn't taste like strawberry shortcake, the strawberry is too 'fake strawberry' tasting - not like the actual strawberry shortcake dish.
It takes a really long time for strawberry to develop out of any flavor company I've tried. This recipe does need some caps sweet strawberry over the reg tfa strawberry. It took a few weeks to develop into so.ethibg decent, but it needs some tweets for my taste buds. Great base though to work on.
As I understood it, NCM uses the strawberry just for sweetness, not as an actual part of the flavor profile. After all, the delicious jersey shore/boardwalk fried ice cream is vanilla! :)
I mixed up 60mls 1:1 with this recipe. I'm just simply not getting much flavor at all. Very disappointed. What flavor I get is very light and watered down. Smell is pretty good but something is missing. Maybe a bit of sucralose would wake it up?
Tried another batch and added .5% super sweet. This recipe is just flat out weak. For having 20% flavor it's very light and faint and the strawberry is incredible light. Very dissapointed considering all the rave reviews. To me it tastes like a sugar free angel food cake with a few drops of the juice from a strawberry.
Oh my God. Strawberry Shortcake has always been my white whale. I got hooked on a premium called strawberry shortcake by orleansvaporco.com. When I started mixing I wanted to try to clone it somehow but it never happened. Been having a actual shortcake craving with strawberries on top. You have managed to make it better. I made a 60 ml on Sunday 80/20. Just tried it tonight and it's amazing. Even only after 3 days of steeping. I subbed the tfa strawberry out with Capella Sweet Strawberry and the biscuit for cookie.
@2Fargone.. I really like that recipie. Theres always a bottle kicking around for friends and family. It's a clone of a "premium" juice.. Meaning..loaded with sucralose. 😂
Once I tweaked it a bit and lost the sweetner.. It turned out amazing.. The 12% DF wasnt a guess. I worked on it alot to get it just where I liked it. Cheers
I don't have vanilla swirl, any suggestions on a percentage if i use cap vanilla bean ice cream instead?? And also don't have regular strawberry either, thinking of either using some red touch or leaving it out and upping the ripe a bit ?? New to DIY, this looks bomb tho, I wanna give it a shot.
I made this recipe a few weeks ago. It was good after a few days but even better after a week. The strawberry didn't come through as much as I had hoped, but it was still great.
If I wanted to make this recipie more heavy and dense, more like a moist and wet strawberry cake: what would you guys suggest I change or add to the mix?
Made 30ml and let steep the old fashioned way. Dark closet for 6 days shaking 3 minutes each day. Today is day 6 and this is my favorite diy to date. Awesome job on this Manson! Going to make 2 60ml tonight.
I have the ingredients shipping to make this but I am worried about TFA strawberry in it. In previous recipe where I used TFA strawberry (mustard milk) it had a very bad taste even after a steep so I ended up throwing it out. Obviously this recipe uses much less but has anyone else had a similar experience to me?
Vapeking.. same thing happens to me with the mustard milk and the top rated mix on this site mothers unicorn milk. For me and many other from what I read it is the Tfa vanilla bean ice cream. ANY MIX I use it over 1.5 percent I get that bastard pepper taste. I let it steep for 2 weeks. No change.. 3 weeks... No change. Same goes for Tfa vanilla custard. Tastes like a shitty cheap dollar tree pepper. Just in my genetics and probably yours too. Welcome... there are many if us from what i see in the forums. Tfa Strawberry good and Tfa Strawberry Ripe is great stuff. I use Capella for my vanilla custard and flavor west for my vanilla bean ice cream. No pepper. No waste of ingredients. Good luck man!
Ive been making the unicorn milk recipe on here forever. Never thought I would find a better recipe. I had some left over sugar cookie and biscuit flavors from ellas shortbread (hype and didnt like that recipe) so decided to give this a go.....
I didnt have yellow cake so bumped up the cheesecake a tiny bit and subbed about half the % of yellow cake with CAP glazed donut and a tiny bit of french vanilla and WOWWWWW! Just got done making it and its HANDS DOWN the best juice Ive tasted in my 5+ years of vaping!!!!!!
Will be making again!!!!!
I just dont know if I should make it with yellow cake or go with my glazed donut/ french vanilla..... will try both, this is amazing!
Could I replace TPA bavarian cream with CAP's? I have bought it a while ago and just don't want to buy same from another vendor. Do they have much difference? Sorry if that was asked before, I was tired to scroll down, and read only half of comments, lol
I think i'll need to raise the overall flavour precentage on this. Maybe it tastes a bit weak because i'm using an RTA and not an RDA. Overall, it's a beautifully crafted recipe, alot of stuff going on but without overdoing it, which in fairness, do myself and cock up a recipe
Great recipe! I mixed it up to spec, and was awesome! I tried different Strawberries with it like FA's new Strawberry Juicy, and Capella Sweet Strawberry, and is equally righteous, but has just a different profile. Then, tried with 0.5% Biscuit, and 1.5% FA Cookie, and was still awesome, but again, just a different profile. I wouldn't change any of the creams, they are essential in supporting this recipe. All around, a fun, and flavorful recipe. Good work! DIYORDIE
The updated recipe doesn't have 2% INW Biscuit. He said on In The Mix that it's a recipe he vaped with a older device. Here is the updated recipe. https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/63#strawberry_shortcake_bar_by_notcharlesmanson
After a month of steeping, I broke it open. I'm not a fan of tfa strawberry (although I have 500 mls of it) but this recipe keeps that high shrill top note of the tfa strawberry right in the middle of the mix, a great blend, a great recipe, a great mixer, thanks notcharlesmanson. Looking forward to mixing your other recipes.
Can't wait to mix some more of this. Only have version2 of sugar cookie but its smooth as owt, one of the smoothest 'biscuit'-like recipe's I've tried! Tastes grand after a week which is a bonus too!!!
Mixed this up exactly as listed and waited 2-3 days as suggested. All I can taste is sugar cookie, maybe some slight cream. Absolutely no strawberry. Any suggestions?
Used blueberry wild and Blueberry extra at 5% each, and subbed yellow cake with Cappellas yellow cake., also ninilla shisha, not bad after mixing gonna give it a few days.
THANK YOU NCM!!!! Can't believe I haven't mixed this sooner!! Day 5 this stuff really taste awesome!! Reminds me of a Commercial juice I used to buy but can't rem the name! Most definitely pat yourself on the back!!!
Update-set this to the side and forgot about it. Put it in my squonk today and this stuff is great. Now I know to let it steep 10-14 days. Thanks for this recipe.
Hello... looks like a awesome recipe. I don't have tpa strawberry but I saw in comments where you said if we're to sub you would use 5% ripe/3% cap sweet straw...so I'm going to mix that up.
Also I saw this on alltheflavors but on there I saw the INW biscuit at 1% but on here at 2%.... the one on alltheflavors was posted
2-14-16 so I'm assuming it's better at 1% biscuit???
@Mgunit13 YES 1% Inawera Biscuit. I don't know why it's still up here at 2%. I listened to the man himself say that he can't believe people still comment saying they loves this with 2% Biscuit. Even 1% INW Biscuit is high for me. If you find it's too strong tone it down a hair. There is another good recipe on alltheflavors, from ID10-T that is similar. https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/8342#i_can_t_believe_it_s_not_manson_s_strawberry_shortcake_bar_by_id10_t
@cincinnatiking... I saw that also with people at 2% lol. I just got this flavor and can tell it's strong, even before unordered it I did a lot of research on it. And yes I have i put it in a cheesecake base I have to bring out cheesecake graham and used it at 1% and damn it's strong lol.... so I'm probably going to start at 0.50% - 0.75% because I can always increase the recipe... thank you for the other recipe too, but I just got yellow cake and know the risks... thanks bud
No way does this shine until day 7. Doesn't taste like anything. Good thing I made a second batch, minus the strawberry. This recipe needs like a month of steeping. Then adding the strawberry a week or two before.
I couldnt wait to let it steep. I started vaping after 4 days and its really good. I used sweet strawbwrry from cap instead of tfa strawberry. Will use inw shisha starwberry at 1% next batch. So far I havent been disappointed with anynof your recipes
I don't have every ingredient but I will give it a try with some different Trademarks... you know, You have Tpa I have Cap or viceversa
... the result should be the same or at least very close ;)
@Mgunit13
IJust don't have Inw Biscuit but i can sub this with FA Cookie probably same %, and sub Strawberry TFA for a Juicy Strawb from FA, same %. Anyway i have the king of the recipe, TFA ripe straw... the best strawb on the market
Lol... I have juicy strawberry and for me it tastes like the very top of the strawberry with a little bit of the green leaf in it...lol... but it's good for layering
Mmm I agree... It is not very ripe. But at least is authentic :) Ripe strawberry TPA is simply the best. I was thinking of buying CAP sweet strawberry wich is a very good cabdy like straw...
With all the hype this recipe has, I just ordered the 4 flavors I was missing to make it...meanwhile I'm already waiting on 2 other flavor orders....I'm stoked to get my vape mail and mix this up...gonna cut to the chase and just mix up like 200mls off the bat haha!
Just change the cotton and burn the coil to clean it from the gunk when needed. Anyway I think that this recipe will not gunk coils too much... usually chocolates and cocoa shit gunk a lot.
Can I use CAP yellow cake instead? Otherwise I have to order the FW from England... and I live in Czech republic... so I dont wanna make the order for 1 flavor...
Just thought I'd finally comment on this recipe. My wife has been vaping this for for well over a year and will vape nothing else. I am a custard fiend and normally won't touch a strawberry liquid, but I love it too. Love the biscuit aftertaste. Awesome recipe.
I do wonder if using my purilium yellow cake instead of fw will be good and not gunk coils. I am going to mix up a small batch and I'll report back in 3 weeks
yellow cake has fructose. this recipe is three years old, someone come up with something to replace the yellow cake. Yes, it's a great tasting recipe, Charles is one of the top mixers in the game. I wish he'd revisit this recipe.
Forgot about this since December and just happened across it in my steep drawer. Started vaping on it and said "wow! What the crap is this?" Delicious. Gonna make more and hide it all over the place! Lol.
NotCharlesManson : This is Osem Recipe have made this loads and came up with new Recipe from yours by a mistake that turned out exselint tjek.nu/r/k8YQ I have called it ( Pistachio Cheesecake V1 )
think you mite like it
@Cstober The inventor of the recipe says that FW is the best.
I used Cap yellow cake and it was fine, but I can't compare those two because i never had FW version.
I guess Cap is fine. Just give it a try.
ATTENTION TO ANYONE MIXING THIS. THE INW BISCUIT IS TOO HIGH IN THIS RECIPE. USE IT AT 1%. HERE IS THE UPDATED RECIPE- https://alltheflavors.com/recipes/63#strawberry_shortcake_bar_by_notcharlesmanson
Definitely worth steeping this one! I tried it after a day or two and I was getting that black pepper taste I get from some TFA vanilla concentrates. Couldn’t figure out why as I was sure vanilla swirl was fine. Left it alone for a month and tried again- it was awesome.
I just made this and it is so good. I used 6% strawberry ripe and 1% strawberry shisha. 18+ hour steep in the crock pot and a good shake but the strawberry does seem kind of light and in the background which isn't a bad thing. Also subbed vanilla swirl at 2% with 1% sweet cream and 1% vanilla whipped cream cause I didn't have it. Awsome sauce and thank you
I have been vaping this for well over a year at first I was disappointed that their was not more strawberry flavor after the steep so I added 1% red touch SB and .5% INAWERA Shisha SB just to get more of a nice SB flavor. I know this makes the recipe more complicated but I think that it is worth it. I think what happens is the Bavarian Cream is very hard on the ripe SB flavor after 2-3 days and you get most sweetness and not SB. I would have to say of the dozens of recipes I have tried this is my favorite. I always have 10-15 mixes going sometimes more. I may have as many as 6 mods if I'm gone for the entire day, always 2 even if I'm only going out of the house for an hour but I always have one with this flavor
I’m just curious because I’m still a newbie....but this recipe only calls for VG....is that normal? I made it just like the recipe calls for due to call the comments but there were way too many for me to find if anyone else had mentioned this. Is there supposed to be PG in it?
Nurse Sunshineee all the flavors are suspended in PG so about 20% of the mix ends up being PG. Making the mix turn out to about a 80/20 VG/PG depending on how much nic you add and whether or not your nic is in VG or PG
@FlavaFlave..... yes for me the 10th day is perfect -- the 17th day....(then it strawberry fades for 2 weeks)....then let it sit...then at the 30th day and so on it's really good....
Wow, man, just tried it, what a recipe! My favorite strawberry mix, for sure! Thank you so much for the time you take to keep us away from tobacco, with a smile in our faces ;)
The only reason I just started to diy was because my all time favourite juice was discontinued, and over the last few weeks learning about diy and trying recipes - an loving the diy thing, I've found your recipe. I have 2 flavours missing and those will be arriving in a couple of days. I am very confident that your recipe is very close to having all the flavours that were in my favourite discontinued ejuice (my fav juice I'm trying to create was made by 12 monkeys and discontinued in 2017 ish') Thanks not charles manson, so excited to try this!!!!
This recipe is AMAZING I have been searching for a recipe that comes close to Rocket Punch Shortcake Stunner and this right here is incredible I did put 1% CAP SS to mimic commercial juice sweetness and I gotta say this is satisfying my craving for Shortcake Stunner I love it I’ve yet to get more than 1 week of steeping though since I blow through it so fast I imagine it only gets better Kudos to you good sir keep up the great work
Just mixed this up, though I got creative with strawberries since I was lacking Strawberry TFA. I used Strawberry Ripe as indicated, and a combo of Sweet Strawberry CAP and Red Touch FA instead of Strawberry TFA, with everything else as indicated. Of course AFTER I mixed i saw the suggestion to swap out Ripe at 5%, Sweet at 3% instead. I'll give that a whirl next time. Nice recipe! This is literally the first Strawberry anything I've mixed (and I've tried a good 20 of em, many highly rated) that I enjoyed. Everything else has just tasted like blah.. sorta generally strawberry candy flavor, kinda weak, but no specific recipe. Really loving that I can actually taste the 'bakery' aspects, even with the Biscuit at the new recommendation of 1%. It really does taste like one of those Strawberry Shortcake ice cream bars! Can't wait to try it exactly as written, flavors on order.
A must-recipe for any Vaper. Delicious, intense and very, very "addictive". Since there is no comparison between this recipe and the "Bust-a-nut" recipe, I can assure you that these two juices are the ONLY juices that do not come out of my Atty. Congrats, my friend. This juice is perfect.
Im a noob to DIY. Quick question, I punched in all my info correctly in the adapt section but if I stick with the original 80/20 ratio the amount of flavorings (5ml) exceeds the 100%. The original recipe says 80/21? How? Confusing....so does the pg/vg ratio really matter? Or should I just mix a 30ml to try this out @ 70/30 vg/pg? Am I doing something wrong on the adapt?
@Element9846, check the box that says "Max VG" also, this is not the updated version of the recipe. The updated version calls for 1% INW Biscuit. He said on a live show this recipe was made when people used ego pens
This is by far my favourite vape. I went through 120ml in 2 weeks. Found out im all out of strawberry ripe. I do have tfa sweet strawberry. Can i substitute the two? I never could taste the strawberry but the vape was nice and creamy. Please let me know. If not i will have to wait a week until i can get more strawberry ripe in.
Can strawberry tpa be subbed with like sweet strawberry CAP or real brand super strawberry? Also use just cookie instead of sugar cookie? If not I'll have to make another order I guess...... haha
I know this is an old recipe but time changes nothing its still a banging recipe thanks for all your hard work sir im loveing this flavour well done sir you are deffinatly the man
Sometimes I substitute the strawberries for bilberry and wild Blueberry it's great right from the rip even done a Raspberry version but it will need a week or so steep. Love this recipe
I love this recipe. It so a authentic vape.
Its good as shake and vape but with steeping the SB and the creams melt together.
Today i made a 30ml tester with Capella`s Ripe Strawberry.
